Has anyone taken Methyldopa for high blood pressure?

Hey everyone,
I was wondering if anyone has taken methylodopa during pregnancy for high blood pressure? Im only 20 weeks and already have high blood pressure of 160/80 so my doctor put me on a low dosage of these pills. Anyone else taken it and everything turned out fine with you and bub?

I'm 37+5 & have been on it for 9 days.
I think I took it with my dd too, but not 100% sure.
So far I've had no ill effects. My bp was back down after 2 days on it, so it works well.

I took it for the last 3 months of my pregnancy, after two other types of tabs it was the only thing that was effective. Bub and i were fine, but it can make you more tired (if thats even possible lol). Stopped taking it the morning of my cs and bp was fine that night, no side effects for me or bub :)

Thank you. My doctor tells me its fine to use, but its nice to hear from other people lol. And I've only been taking it for 4 days and yep more tired lol :)

I took it from 22 weeks in my 1st pregnancy. Only side effects I had were nightmares but I was told to expect that and they went away in a week or so.
