View Full Version : TTC in Central West NSW & could handle some local info!
Hello Central West mummies!
I'm very new to the area, fell in love with my country boy and dropped everything in Sydney to move here. I really am loving it!
We're currently TTC and I'm interested in where is the best place to give birth. Any well known doctors?
Thanks for your help!

hey setsuko2 - are you in the august thread???? i think i remember your name there - how awesome to have someone in the same area due at the same time (even if we will be over an hour apart lol)
Thanks setsuko2! We hope so too!!!
I actually grew up in Canowindra which isn't that far from Cowra but I'm 24 so I think the doctors would have changed by now! HaHaHa!
I rang my local hospital which is 20 minutes away in Coolah and they said you can't have babies there, the closest is Dubbo which is an hour and a half away!
I think I need to calm down and concerntrate on getting pregnant first! Silly me!

proudmama - yeah I am just went on it yesterday after getting a faint :bfp: I saw your parkes post to and commented on that lol its such a bizarre but exciting
conquincidence there not many people on here that live/will be living in the central west area let alone someone that as along as everything goes good :fingerscrossed: is due around the same time that is so exciting.
believe me once you start living here an hour doesnt seem that far away lol I also have a brother and his DF that live in parkes with my almost 1yr old beautiful niece :goodvibes:
AllyHT - hahaha yeah it's not that far away but I think your more likely right about the doctors changing
That would be a little scary for me if they told me that, It's the one thing I not to sure about having a baby in the country seems a little scary because they sometimes dont seem as good or reliable as bigger/city hospital, especially since my friend just had a baby and after months of dealing with cowra hospital just before she was due they said if she has the baby anytime soon she has to go to orange (an hour away) to have the baby. When she did go into labour they made her travel back and forth about 2 times that seemed really scary to me
Anyway don't worry to much about hospitals and stuff like that you have pently of time for that and I'm sure your doctor will be able to help you out with anything you need when the time is right and dont worry to much about TTC just remember dont turn having a baby it to a chore just have fun with it and let things run their course :goodvibes:

setsuko2 - so you did - for some reason it didn't show up when i logged in earlier - oh well - i'm more then happy to answer any questions you may have and once i get down that way hopefully we could meet up - and i agree on the hour or so distance as being nothing - at the moment i travel an hour just to do or see anything decent (my little town has little to offer and all my friends live in townsville so travel is no problem for me lol)
