I had bleeding on & off for a few days, after I had an U/S to confirm the M/C I would say the heavy bleeding started about 4 days after that, it all happened within a few hours & the cramps were bad, I bled for about a week or so after the M/C, i didnt have a curette as the Dr said the M/C was complete.
I had a M/C at around 11 wks.
So sorry for your loss.:hugs:

India, I think my experience was quite unusual. My GP told me to expect lots of blood and lots of pain, but all I had was one day of red bleeding, and really not that much - and no pain at all. When I asked him why, he said my body must have just absorbed the blood. I was only 5 weeks when I had my m/c though.

India - First I want to say - I am so sorry for your loss:hugs: .

When I had my m/c - I spotted for 3 days before I actually miscarried, my bleeding lasted for a further 9 days, but after the initial bleeding (on the day I actually m/c'd ) the bleeding was actually a lot lighter then my normal periods.
- However on the Friday that I actually lost the baby the Bleeding was very heavy.

-If you are feeling at all concerned you should call a hospital, I found when I wasn't sure what was happening with my bodythat the midwifes there were more than happy to try and answer my questions.

Honey if you need to talk at all PM me - I know how difficult it can be.

oh india, im so sorry to hear your sad situation...

is it an absolute definite?
as i had spotting/bleeding for 3 weeks & it included really bad cramping etc & slight pink here & there... i was waiting for m/c to happen, [i felt it was inevitable given my body behaviour] but it didnt...

i did have an early loss in february, but it resembled an extremely heavy period situation..

:fingerscrossed: for monday... whatever happens, i hope you dont have to wait too long to find out...:(

peace 2u

The Doc said my hcg levels had dropped from 240 on Monday to 47 on Thursday and that I had probbaly already lost. I had very minimal bleeding in fact only a pink tinge when I wiped for Tuesday and Wednesday and one spot on a panty liner. I poas though and it came up with nothing at all. I have had mild cramping and then its all gone no pink or red for 2 days and nor cramping today. I am just waiting as I dont know what to expect. I am takgin Docs word for it Iguess the ultrasound on Monday wil tell me if its all gone Ijust wish I knew.

How long before pimples, sore boobs, cervical mucous etc goes away. If my levels were at 47 how long can it take to be back down to normal. An opk stick is still registering so I guess I stil have a fair bit of hormone left.

:hugs: to you. I really feel deeply for you and your partner.

My friend had a m/c a few months ago and it took six weeks for the symptoms to leave her body. Her m/c wasnt "complete" though and she had to have a D&C so im not too sure.
I hope you feel better soon:hugs:

Oh India, I am so sorry for your loss:hugs: I had initially very light bleeding which went on to become really heavy when the actual m/c happened. I am still bleeding but it is going away now..But it is always good to have u/s. It would ease your mind...

India..again, I am so sorry hon.
My own experience was a very fast one. I had the tiniest amount of brown blood..about a pinhead size when I wiped one morning. The GP advised me to go to hospital if the blood turned red. Later that afternoon I wiped and found another spot of blood the size of a pinhead but red. I went to the hospital not expecting it would amount to anything as I thought you had to bleed a lot. They gave me an u/sound and although I was 10.5wks along the baby was only measuring at 7.5wks and there was no heartbeat. The dr simply said if nothing happened within a week to return for another scan then she walked out of the room with the u/s machine and didn't return.
I came home in a daze with no information and had to get online to read what might happen. The next night the contractions started and were exactly like the labour cramps I experienced with my two littlies. They came every five minutes at first, down to every three minutes, down to continuous. I bled and had the labour pains up the thighs and all around the pelvic region for almost 45 minutes until *****TMI WARNING****I passed what looked like a clear mandarine, perfectly round and filled with fluid and tissue. Twelve hours later I passed a larger clot with tissue: the afterbirth, and I had afterpains for two days. I bled for six days after the mc and my period returned just over 5wks later.
I guess it is going to be different for every woman and different from an early mc to a later one too.
I am just so sorry you are having to experience this.
Thinking of you,
Amy:)

Again, it is going to be different for every woman and may depend on the length of the pgcy..personally I still had all the classic symptoms up until the 2nd period..9wks after the mc.I was truly glad when they went as they were a constant reminder but the dr says about 6 or so weeks can be quite normal. My breasts were the oddest as the nipples had become quite dark but after the mc the very tips of the nipples began to turn pale again but it took a while before the colouring started to disappear all over. I still have some darkness and it has been 13 or 14wks now.
The mucus still hasnt resolved itself. I used to have loads around o time but not in the last 3 cycles.
Please let us know how your appt goes on Monday..or just come in and vent.

I wished I lived somewhere nearby to you cause I would come over and give you a big :hugs: hon. I feel the same way about bub hub and another site I found the night I was mc'ing. I can't thank enough the other brave women who shared their stories in detail. Although everyone's story was different it gave me a really wide picture of what I might experience. Certainly the hospital wasn't interested in seeing me that night, they encourage you to do it naturally by yourself at home if at all possible..but I sure could have done with the medical support as I was really scared.
If you are at all worried go to the casualty section of your hospital and make them support you.

Hugs,
Amy:)

First off I am so sorry you are going through this :hugs:

My experience was...I had cramps for a few days then had some bleeding so i went into the hospital straight away & then did an ultrasound but couldnt see anything so they said i would have to come back in a weeks time to see. Then the next night the cramping didnt stop & i started to get really big blood clots so i went back to the hospital & had another ultrasound this time they could see a sack but no heartbeat. Plus my hcg levels had dropped also. The doctor said I had either had or having a miscarriage & it should just naturally all come out. So I bled for the weekend then went back to the doctors that Monday to get my hcg levels checked again.

I hope everything works out for you :fingerscrossed: :hugs:

Just back from ultrasound and there is nothing there. They said they could only see my right ovary at the time as well and asked if I wanted an internal ultrasound. I passed as have had one before and just did not think I could handle it today. ( was I wrong to say no?)
I have had what feel like wind crapms on and off.Nothign much and no more blood. Is it posisble that the bleed I had on the 17th August which was either 15 or 10dpo of ( depending on my dates) was infact a misscarriage and the blood test picked up that I just still had hormones there? Or is that I was just so ealry along that in fact very little blood and the cramping is all that will be my misscarriage?
I will see Doc tommorow for another blood test to check levels anyway.

I wish I knew enough to give you a definitive answer hon but all that came to mind was a missed m/c. It is possible that the bleeding on the 17th was it but hopefully the blood test tomorrow will give you more insight. As to the internal u/s..that is your choice hon..I hate those but sometimes they are necessary particularly when you can see something small on the screen with an external u/s and need to get a closer look. Ultimately though this process is all about you hon..about you feeling comfortable..whatever the choice.
I know you must be on eggshells all the time and wondering what the heck your body is playing at. Make sure you take all the hugs that are offered you.
Amy:)
