Hi
As the title suggests how long was your bub on neocate or what age did you change to an alternative, or how old is your bub/toddler who is still on it.
My ds2 who is nearly 2 is intolerant to dairy, soy and corn. He get 1 full bottle of neocate at night and then a cup in the morning of which he will generally drink 1/2. He eats a well balanced diet, so does he really need the milk.
I am getting a bit over bottles and formula and the like.

My DD1 outgrew her CMPI at 19ish months, so we stopped the Neocate then.
However, the paed we were seeing said that he wouldn't worry about it after 2 anyway, just make sure she was having a wide variety of foods etc. Also depending how severe the CMPI is, your son *may* start to tolerate some types of dairy or soy before others, so you can get a bit of calcium in that way. This was true for DD, she could have small amounts of yoghurt long before she could handle milk for instance.
Good luck! It is hard, and so much of it is trial and error which makes it very tedious.
ETA, at 27 months my DD has now FULLY outgrown her intolerances, so there is hope!

DD is allergic to dairy, soy, eggs, gluten and coconut milk so she HAS to stay on it as long ad possible (beyond 2) because it is her only source of calcium.
I differs for each child and what they are on it for exactly. Ha your paed gave you any indication?

DS2 hasn't fully grown out of his CMPI but he is able to tolerate some things now like hard cheese and dairy that is used in cooking. We ended up swapping him over to oat milk a couple of months ago.

Thanks ladies
We have just done a big soy challenge and he has ended up with bad - for him excema and tummy pains followed by explosions - he spent all day pointing to his tummy and crying the poor lad and he has always failed dairy challenges, these we do when dd gives him something or food has accidently been left out that he shouldn't have, like a bisuit.
I guess we are with the neocate for a little while longer.
