Congrats Rach!! :yelclap:

MG - that's hilarious that you got so angry with DH and got up after going to bed. All the signs are really good ones. When's your BT & when's AF due (even though it's not coming)?

24-11-2010, 07:44
LTS, I'm so sorry hun :hugs: that just plain out sucks. Will you be trying again straight away?

Rach, congrats on being pupo! When is BT day? :babydust2: Hopefully the TWW wont drive you too crazy!

MG, some good signs there! I will be thinking positive thoughts for you! :fingerscrossed:

Well I had to buy a new baby carseat yesterday, I had a freaking rat get into my car and pooped everywhere, and chewed through one of the straps! Not impressed! You know what really annoys me though? I couldnt get a matching car seat, so the seats are mismatched, and its driving me nuts! Crazy I know
Oh and dh put rat bait into my car last night so that should get rid of the problem. Gotta love living in the country!

HB - YAY - finally someone undestands my frustration at having non-matching car seats:yelclap: (not yay about the rat though:no:)I have a grey meridian for max but had to get baby poo brown compaqs for the twins - not happy Jan - but then i figured no one will see them anyways cause i can no longer take passengers in my car - will be all full of babies;)

Rach - WOO HOO - its been a bit of a hike to get to this point, i hope its all smooth sailing from here. If you need some distraction im sure MG and i can oblige:D

MG - great news on being a b!tch - always a great sign although most DH's would disagree

LTS - NOT GOOD, whats the plan from here, another frozen but with 2 embies or a stim? - sorry again:hugs:

Hmmmmmm, nothing to report here, settlement for house is 16th dec and we move in on new years eve. max has spots all over and has done for about a week now, no one knows why so we are in 'lock down', twins behaving - getting regular kicks which is nice. Hope you are all well

hunnybunny
24-11-2010, 08:58
So glad I'm not the only one who hates being mismatched! Very true though LM, you have no room for passengers anyway! What kind of car do you have, did you have any trouble getting them to all fit?

moongazer
24-11-2010, 09:20
Had acu this morn and she said I had a good pulse, so another thing to add to my list. She popped some more ball bearings in my ear as well, so i should be nice and calm for the next few days!! :yelclap:

Rach - my BT is 1/12 :fingerscrossed: When is yours??

LM - no diagnosis on the spots yet?? Did you mention that someone else you knew had them?? I hope it is just a viral thing and not allergy, and that it knicks off VERY soon.

Agree with organising some distraction with LM and Rach!!

HB - yuck! rats! We have a rat which lives next door. I really hate them. Can you get some kind of cover for your car seats????

Poor S is teething and not himself at the moment. he had a pretty bad night (for him) last night, and we got up to drug him up with nurofen. he's in bed now quite tetchy, and I'm just waiting for him to go to sleep. I KNOW he's tired.... :hissy:

Grrrr on my phone and just lost my post.

LTS so sorry AF arrived. Where to now?

Rach good luck for a great 2WW.

MG sounds very promising!

LM Scarlett had really bad bites over last summer and we thought it was chicken pox too. We never got to the bottom of what caused it but at least we didn't have to stay in lock down. Very dull!

Well I'm in playcentre hell in Windsor. The girls have been doing the same circuit for about half an hour and loving every minute of it. It's actually a pretty nice place. We all woke up cranky this morning so needed to get out. We wake up really early here which is killing me. I don't know how I'm going to survive without daylight savings but I guess we'll have to get used to it.

Damn I just lost my post too...on my phone too.

Sonja - hope you're all coping with that in-the-middle time that comes with moving interstate. I've been there a few times and it can be really frustrating.

MG - Isnt your BT the same day as bookclub? Is that ok with you? Mine is 3/12.

LM & MG - how about another Monday morning with the ducks? I'm free next Monday.

Its SUNBLOCK - he's allergic to sunblock - today is the first day without it on - raining here, and we are spot free, everyday he's had it on - spots from head to toe:D so glad we got to the bottom of that. God knows what we will use on him now cause that was the banana boat baby block which is for sensitive skin ....

HB - i have a camry, we were going to get a 4wd but we realised that its impossible for me to get whoever sits in the middle into their car seat. Camrys are pretty big, the boots are cavernous so can easily fit the mountain buggy duo which i hear alot of 4wd's cant. We had to settle on the safe and sound compaqs instead of meridians cause they were the only ones that fit, but i looked on the CREP report and the compaqs are rated safer anyways so im happy. When they are all in maxi riders we will get the 4wd but a sedan will for now - seriously, where would i go with 3 under 2 anyways:rolleyes:;)

rach - now that i know max isnt incubating the plague im free as a bird, monday suits me fine:yes:

Thanks girls.

Not sure exactly where to from here. FS wanted me to do this last ET and then we would try something else.

Hopefully will see my FS next week some time and go from there. I'm most likely going to have Dec and Jan off IVF and then restart again in the new year. We head away to the beach and I want to just enjoy that time with friends and family and my little man.

LM - what a relief and who would have thought. We use the banana boat one too (the pink bottle) so I can't recommend any others.

LTS - I remember you were down by the beach last year too for quite a while. Sounds fantastic.

Yes I know the feeling with sun screen. I am the same. I am really bad with la tan. I can't wear it for more that about 3 days in a row.

All I can suggest is to try different brands I found that some reacted with me worse than others. Good luck its not easy.

I see the Moderators finally woke up and realized that our thread was getting too long. LOL

Congrats on being PUPO Rach! I'm so excited for you. You've been so patient this cycle. It just has to work. Thanks for asking about me. I'm only 5 dp 3dt so I don't think I'll have any real symptoms or strong positives for awhile. I'm very positive about the transfer though since we had morulas transferred this time. We've never had that before so we're really excited.

MG- Hmmm. I blew up at my DH tonight too. It was totally undeserved and out of character for me. I wonder if there's something more to it than I thought. I just figured it was the estrogen and crinone. I guess we'll see soon enough. It sounds like you have some very promising symptoms.

HB - A rat? oh my! That's freaky. Makes me wonder how in the world it got in and out of your car. Is this normal where you live? Non-matching car seats would bug me too. I think it's a woman thing.

LM - New Years Eve, huh? That will be a very memorable way to ring in the new year. I just hope you don't forget the sparkling juice so you can take a break and celebrate the ringing in of the new year.

Sonja - It sounds like your little ones will be sleeping well tonight. How's your move going?

LTS - I'm so very sorry that it didn't work this cycle. I was so pulling for you. Glad to hear that you're going to meet with FS to figure out a plan. Taking a couple months off sounds like a good idea. This way you can focus on enjoying the holidays. Huge :hugs:s.

MrsPee - Congrats on Summer sleeping through the night already. That is AWESOME!!!

Helen - Not much longer before you deliver. How are you holding up?

AFM - Well as you read above, I'm still early in the 2ww but I'm optimistic. We're celebrating Thanksgiving at our house in 2 days so I have quite a bit to keep my mind occupied. Getting the house ready, planning the food, prepping the food, etc. DH and I (well mostly DH) moved the living room into the dining room and the dining room into the living room tonight. This will enable us to host larger dinner parties during the holidays. I posted a couple photos on FB so you can see. I love moving furniture around. We seem to move things frequently at our house. Do any of you do that?

 to everyone. xoxo

Forever, Yep rats are pretty common where I am, not the really yucky black ones though, we have bush ones which arent quite so bad. We live on acreage so we have quite a few critters around, including two large carpet pythons which used to spend part of the year living in our roof, but I think they have moved out now because they have gotten too big!
Sounds like your tww isnt going too badly, its great that you have lots on to distract you. I hope thanksgiving goes wonderfully for you.

LM - I'm surprised u can fit the MB Duo in and you're right about it and 4wd... it only just fit in the boot of the Ford Territory hence why I got the Mini City... I would try the Sunsense Sensitive Toddler milk on Max... this is what I had to use with Jake when he was little.

Jen, glad to hear your 2ww is going well.

HB - yuk to the rat... you could send your seat back to company for new straps to be put in but I guess you would of needed a new seat anyway while it was away... I hear you on having the same seats... the girls are now in Babylove Ezy Switches both pink lol

MG - all sounding good for you...

Sorry if I have missed anyone...

We have finally exchanged on our house and settlement is December 10 so in full swing moving ex-DH out and tidying up yard and cleaning house for hand over... it will be so good when it is all over...

Cobbec - yay for settlement (finally!) - our boot must be huge cause we can easily fit in the mountain buggy AND a stroller to use for max, and a HUGE nappy bag - They are really deceiving cars to look at, seeing as though camrys are still classed as a medium sized car - but im stoked we dont have to change just yet.:D

Bec, yay for settlement, much be such a relief for you.

LM, must be a great boot! Dh has just gotten a VW Jetta as his new work car and it has a massive boot as well, which amazed me.

Forgot to mention before, that tomorrow I am taking Ari to his appt with the paediatric surgeon. I'm not feeling too anxious about it, but thats because I'm not letting myself think about it much.

Sonja
24-11-2010, 19:44
HB - hope all goes well tomorrow. Let us know what the paed says.

Jen - those symptoms sound good. Fingers crossed for a great result.

Bec - yay for settlement and moving on.

Well our gear arrives tomorrow morning at 7.30, and the dogs and cat at 11am so it feels like everything's starting to happen. Only 2 more days to fill!

when do you move bub in to a bed? Obviously we have to get new cots for the babes and the issue was that they didnt make the design we got for max anymore so we got 2 new ones, but i have just found a second hand cot that matches max's for an absolute steal, so am thinking i will cancel our new cots and buy this one, meaning max will go in to a bed. I know many of you have transitioned bub already but how do you get them to stay in the bed, dont they just climb out? - do you go to full size bed or toddler size first? do you think with 2 new babes max would feel better if he stayed in his cot instead of being moved? thanks

Sonja
24-11-2010, 21:13
LM

We bought a king single bed for Lucy when she was about 15 months old thinking we'd start her off in it gradually. However, she had different ideas and wanted to sleep in it straight away and moved into it when she was 15 months. I bought a bed rail from Snooze and that kept her in the bed all night - to this day she's never gotten out of bed during the night (even though the bed rail went over a year ago).

We had the same idea with Scarlett but due to her being constantly sick over the past few months and then with the move we didn't move her into the bed (Lucy has a bunkbed now) - once we're settled in Perth she'll be moved.

A few people I know bought toddler beds but had trouble getting bedding for them. Also, particularly those with bigger boys found their kids outgrew the beds pretty quickly (ie by 3). I'm generally pretty minimalist when it comes to baby and kid stuff and don't want multple beds and cots around the house. We were extremely lucky with Lucy that she transitioned so easily - but she had always hated her cot so maybe that's why she went for it so quickly.

Glad you brought up the idea of beds LM. DH and I were talking last night about what we would do, and had NO idea!
Sonja - I noticed on another thread you alluded to your girls not using sleeping bags after about 12months. S is still in a sleeping bag, and is a wriggler around the cot. How did you transition them to sheets??? Problem for us is that if we wait for him to be asleep and go into his room, he wakes! :hair: without FAIL, he will wake and cry and get so upset. I wish he wasn't SO sensitive to the door, and someone being in his room! argh.

Rach - yep the bookclub date and BT date are the same. I figure if I have a BFN I'll be having my AF earlier, and if it hasn't come, I'll either be in limbo land and having a repeat BT in a couple of days, or have a massive grin on my face and not partaking in a glass of wine with my pasta!! :D The date should be fine!

ibb
24-11-2010, 22:00
LTS - Sorry it didn't take this time.

MG - Symptoms sound promising. Fingers crossed.

LM - Glad you worked out what was causing the spots. We use Ego Sun sense Sensitive 30+. It was recommended to me by a chemist because April has extremely sensitive skin. I used it on her when she was only a few weeks old and she has never had an issue with it.

Miss R - Hope Shelby gets better soon.

Forever - Hope the 2ww goes fast for you also

Sonja - Only 2 more days. I bet you will be happy to be back in your own bed albeit in different room in a different house in a different state!:D Hope the girls settle in ok and the pets too.

Rach - Hope your 2ww is going well.

MG - April stopped using sleeping bags a few months ago when it got warm and she got active. My issue is the sheets are at one end of the bed and she crawls up the other end to sleep every night without fail. I worry she will get a chill and when i change her nappy which i do in the cot, i drag her back down but by morning she is up the other end again. Also sometimes she is vertical, horizontal and diagonal!!!

Well i am not going to be ttc for a while now. A few months ago i had tests for my knee pain and while the xray showed nothing, the bloods came back with one result that my doc was concerned about so ordered repeat a couple months later. Unfortunately this now has come back positive and the level has doubled so i have to see a specialist in Feb to investigate before i do the FET. This means now as we don't want a xmas baby or one on same bday as April that we will now wait til June/July. I'm disappointed now as i was getting excited and my af came yesterday so was all ready to go ahead but the risk is i waste the emby or if i do fall pregnant i can lose the baby so better to wait.

Ok off to bed now, bubs asleep finally on the loungeroom floor so better take her upstairs. Nite

Ibb- i have meaning to ask how you went with your knee..I have done 6wks of physio and mine is 95% better than what is was...so i have another appointment in 2wks but if im oki can cancel till next time anyway...
MG- shelby has been out of her sleeping bag for a few months...she is a wriggler as well and moves all around her cot...as its not cold when she goes to bed i dont put anything ver her and when i go to bed i go in and just put a light blanket or sheet over her wherever she is in her cot....shelby would also wake when i opened her door so now we leave it open a couple of inches and she no longer wakes when i go in..if she does she settles ok with a bit of a pat and shush....
LM- we have been thinking the same about beds and the transition...while we dont have to we are waiting till she learns to climb out:laughing:...my mum had both me and my brother in beds at 12mths.....if you can save money its worth a try.....but i would try it now befor the bubs come just in case.....
Sonja- hope your enjoying your stay here...im not happy we missed seeing you....
AFM- shelby is still a little snotty but not as bad and she is still a bit croaky to..which is actually a bit cute:p but she has given it to DH who is acting like he is dying....and i have woken with a sor throat...so that is just great....
well i best go as i have thinkgs to post and bills to pay....

Sonja
25-11-2010, 08:25
MG I really stressed about getting Lucy out of a sleeping bag but it was really easy in the the end so with Scarlett we jumped straight in and did it when she was around 9 months old. I had her in an all in one outfit with feet so it didn't matter if she had her sheet on.

Miss R hope you all feel better soon

Ibb sorry about your news. How frustrating.

Just a quickie as we're off to Southbank to the beach this morning. I've never been so busy with the kids but they're doing great so just need to keep them busy and their minds off how much they miss their dad.

Miss R - Poor DH, gee they are whimps:laughing:
Hope Shelby gets better soon. April is still snotty, still wet cough and that's 11 days later. Snot just doesn't stop even with the claratyne and she hates me wiping her nose.

Sonja - I love Southbank, have a great time.

Well i am just about to get off here and go clean the house as i have a friend staying tomorrow night for the weekend for April's bday. Have a mole removed later today and while i have had it before not sure i will be able to clean my bath after etc so better do it now. Hope you have a good day

MG - Max is the same, still in a bag at 17 months and will wake if the door opens - a few times i have tried to sneak in to throw on a blanket if its gotton cold since he's gone down but he wakes too. Do you have to wait for them to not wriggle before going in to a bed - im worried that if he stays in a bag he will try to get out, trip and hurt himself, or else end up head first under the covers - is there a way to train them to sleep with head at the top of the bed?

Sonja - im just sick of spending money to be honest - with the new house and extra expenses that have come with twins (2 more car seats, highchairs, new double pram etc) i figure we can save about $900 if we buy a second hand cot with new mattress - and your right, max is huge, only has about 30cm spare in the cot when he stretches right out, not to mention with my belly its getting increasingly harder to pop him in it. I would rather spend $ on their bedrooms that they will have many years use out of then a nursery they will use for about 2 years (and cots they will chew the crap out of anyways...). I did go nuts on baby stuff for max, but now have the hidsight to recognise a waste of $ when i see one;)

IBB - thats a bit poo :hugs: but i think your right in waiting, frozen embies are pure gold, you dont want to waste it, and now you have a reason to just spoil April for a bit longer without worrying about TTC

Bec - i hope your feeling OK - poo to DH, they are such babies

LM - I have Emma in a Toddler Bed but only because it was given to me else I would have bought a single or king single for her. Jake went into a bed at 12mths so was always going to do the same with Em.

Emma hasn't slept with a sleeping bag since last summer. She won't keep blankets on so I just use an all in one suit with pjs over it if its a cold night.

ibb - hope things get sorted out with your knee and you can get on to ttc in June/July...

Hi all

Just a quickie. Our trip to southbank was going beautifully until poor scarlett was submerged under water and we've now been at the children's since 1230. She's fine but they want to keep her under observation for a few more hours. My poor father was supervising her at the time and took his eyes off her for 10 seconds and she went under. I was on the beach and have never run so fast into water in my life. She was blue around the mouth but awake. I don't think I've ever been so upset in my life as when I was holding her when the lifeguards were checking her.

I still feel sick when I think about it and what might have been if I had turned my attention away at the wrong time. Needless to say she's had lots of kisses and cuddles this afternoon.

Oh sonja I am so glad that she is fine. I can imagine how scary that would have been for not only you but everyone involved.

This is one reason why we have yet to take our two water skiing. I am worried about something like this happening to us too. What makes it all worse is the fact that two out ought three don't have phone service and is between 30 and 40 mins drive from a hospital. It's all quite scary to think about.

Hope are all ok now and hopefully she is not too scared to go back in the water. Huge hugs for you hun.

Sonja - OMG you poor thing and your poor dad. Hope Scarlett is ok and no damage done. I can only imagine how scary that was. I hope you and Scarlett can both go back in the water before the fear takes hold.:hugs:
When April fell down the stairs, i had flashbacks for days and still don't know how she didn't break her neck.
We do have to so vigilant and especially in the car. I lost 2 of my nieces in a carcrash driven by their mother and i am always taking a deep breath before i start driving. Its scary to think of one of our own being taken.

Sonja what a horrible fright for you, hope Scarlett is ok. :hugs:

Well we had our appt with the paediatric surgeon today, and its good news, she thinks it will most likely sort itself out without surgery, so he has another appt in March just to check, and then yearly checks until he is 10, but should be ok. No surgery, phew!

I am also slightly annoyed, I pulled out the other old car seat and you wouldnt believe it, a strap had been eaten on the underneath! Grrr! So I had to buy another one, and I thought well at least I will have two matching seats again, but nooooooooo, the one I got on Tuesday I couldnt find again anywhere! :crying: So now I have two new mismatched seats. I really couldnt afford that extra cost either but when it comes to safety what choice is there?

Thanks guys - she's completely fine. I know it's not advised but I had a glass of wine tonight and feel more calm. Am so glad we didn't get a house with a pool - I just couldn't handle the stress. scarlett is just such a fearless and strong child - I take her swimming and literally spend the whole time running in the water trying to keep up with her. Such a change from Lucy who was so quiet.

Anyway, it hasn't put me off water - we're going to be living 10 minute walk from the beach so will be spending a lot of our life there. I'm just going to make sure she always has floaties on.

HB - glad the appointment went well.

PS Sonja - I was in a rush beforehand, but I hope your Dad is ok and not beating himself up. these things just happen in the blink of an eye. I think a glass or 4 of wine were probably just what the doctor ordered for you tonight.
:hugs:

AFM - just realised earlier that AF is due tomorrow. having a few nags and niggles, but I know better than to trust that feeling, so will wait and see if the wicked witch arrives. i'm guessing not, but I have been known to be wrong. i think I have a spare test lying around....do I or don't I???? Geez - now I'm flirting with danger...

Sonja - Im so glad Scarlett is ok. What an absolute scare. It must be one of all of our worst nightmares. LM is right and we do need to be so vigilant.

HB - it's so good to hear everything is ok with Ari. Must be a relief. Bummer about the car seats.

MG - Have you caved yet??? Will the pregnyl be out of your system? I'm so betting that AF isn't going to show tomorrow.

Not much happening with me. We arrived back from Sydney tonight and it's nice to be home.

Thanks for asking about me girls...
Pregnyl is out of my system.. i caved today, but it was a BFN. I know that there is still a vague chance, so I'll take that. AF hasn't shown yet, so it's not over, but I'm not holding out much hope. Surprisingly feeling ok. A definite BFN on the stick is better than the eye teasing faint line which I tend to get. I'll test again tomorrow, if AF doesn't come, but who knows......:dizzy:

OMG Sonja, I only just went back a few pages and read this, how scary for you, I would have been beside myself :hugs: So glad she is ok.

WWBWB - great project!! It looks really cute!!

AFM - up at this godforsaken hour as I was woken by DH's massive snore/snort! Went to loo and had a wipe of blood, so thinking AF is here and I'm out for the month. Oh well. Started thinking, and then couldn't get back to sleep.
I think our plan will be to start again in January. If we do a FET in December, we will be having BT on NYE, so I can't see that being very viable!! ahhhh - would have liked a leo baby. Some of my favourite people are leo's....

Hello,

Well April had a blast at her party. We had a beautiful day. We only had 18 adults and 3 x 3 years olds plus another 1 year old and a 5 month old but that was definitely enough!
She got a ballpit off my mum and dad ( got early bday pressies a few months ago - foldout sofas x 2 one for their house and one for ours.
Anyway we setup the ballpit under tarp and it was a big hit. The kids played well together.
The cake turned out fantastic. Duck with caramel mud. Will upload pics and was delicious. I still have the head untouched so am keeping it for our mums group celebration on Thursday.

Well for pressies she got a trike from us which goes to 36 months and she loves it, a ride on car, a bouncing spinning zebra, a swazcoff sp? crystal butterfly, a toy letterbox, musical lion, bathtoys, clothes, clam shell and bucket and spade, 2 dolls, wiggles book, eco wooden toys, money and the list goes on. There is a pressie in the mail from my SIL in QLD and than mums group pressies which thankfully i know are mostly pj's and clothes as i have no room anywhere else!!

She fell asleep during lunch so no pics of her in her decorated highchair but oh well.

WH - Hope Alexis has a great party :party:today and the weather is just as nice. It's overcast here but very humid.

My friend came up Friday night and goes home tomorrow morning to work with Daniel and we are leaving April behind with Dad while we go to the movies to see a chickflick so better go get ready.

Thanks again for all those wonderful birthday messages on fb and here. I was blown away.

Missr I'm up for the ss but on iPhone so can't do emoticons.

Ibb- glad to hear miss a had a great birthday. Looking forward to seeing photos!

Mrspee - how's summer doing? How are her big brothers adjusting?

Afu - my AMH came back as 4.7 and I'm struggling to interpret. Anyone got any ideas? Oddly all DH's results were in the normal range! You never know, if we actually find time and energy to BD, we might manage a natural surprise!!
Can believe it's 2 weeks until we go to England! I have so much to do!!!!!!

Hi all greetings from Perth!

Still no internet so on phone so will be quick. Arrived y'day morning the girls were amazing on the 5 hour flight and pretty much played together without any issues. I'm so lucky they're good flyers.

The house was almost entirely unpacked and we've spent the weekend trying to finish off and reorganise stuff. Unfort 1 cupboard in melb was overlooked so they'll have to go back and pack it up. And it contains all my maternity wear!!

Been to the beach heaps (it's at the end of our street) which is exhausting the girls and so helping them sleep. Lucy keeps telling strangers on the beach that she's not on holiday and she lives here now, which is cute. She's so excited to be here.

First ob appoint on wed with new obgyn. I hope I like him.

Am really missing Melb but trying not to think about it. Having to start all over again and meet new people isn't something I'm really looking forward to but if I find a couple of people I like I'll be happy.

Ok better go. Sorry for no personals but hard to keep up on my phone.

Hi ladies. Just a quick one from me. The blood test results just came in. It was :bfn: just as I expected. I'm so glad I had a few days to wrap my head around it. Our clinic requires us to be on birth control for the month before a transfer so we can't even consider transferring again until January. This will allow us some time to reset. Thanks for all of your support and positivity. Your the best.

Jen - I'm so sorry this wasn't the one for you. Being on birth control for a month sounds frustrating but I guess we all just have to trust our FSs as they're pretty good at this and know what their doing. In the meantime, you can relax and enjoy Christmas with DH & J3 without the PUPO hanging over your head.

I'm now 12dpo and did a POAS this morning and there's a very faint second line. I'll do another one tomorrow morning to see if it's darker. I guess something's trying to happen but it could just be a chemical pregnancy as the line really is faint. I must admit this was something I really didn't expect to happen seeing as though I had so many issues leading up to it. Having said that, falling pregnant was never the issue for me (this is my 8th time), keeping the pregnancy is where I need the luck. Anyway, I'm rambling. I'll just see what tomorrow's POAS holds.

Helen have a wonderful day tomorrow. Yep we can all do it all when we have to but if there are family and friends around to help, why not? We've never had any family around and moving to Perth hopefully changes all that a little.

Happy Birthday Helen! Hope you have a fantastic day and enjoy that yum cha xx

I did another HPT this morning and the line is darker. It still takes some time to show up and is still quite faint but a definite line. I'm still cautious about this all and I don't have any more hpts at home so I might wait now until my BT on Friday.

I have fingers crossed each that this a sticky one for you. Good luck for Friday.

Happy birthday Helen. I hope you have a great day. Not long now till you have your princess.

I have a question. How do I deal with a child that is scared of the rain? When its raining its a battle to go to sleep, he scream till he is sobbing, he won't settle. Last night I can't tell you how many times I was up a lot. If he wakes and hears it he screams again. What do I do? How can I help?

Rach - that is great that the line is a bit darker this morning. I have everything crossed that you get some wonderful news on friday :D

WWBWB - I was going to suggest the same as Miss R andd put some music on to mask the sound of the rain. I hope the rain stops and everything calms down a bit for you. :hugs:

 to everyone else.

Sonja

Rach - great sign it's getting darker. Cab't wait to hear how it goes on Friday.

WWbWB - if music doesn't work maybe a pedestal fan in the room facing a corner so it doesn't make him cold? I find the sound of a fan very soothing. Hope you get some peace soon.

WotWillBWillB
01-12-2010, 13:38
Thanks for the suggestions. I have tried the music, sometimes helps sometimes it doesn't. Fan freaks him out almost as much as the rain. I can't keep doing the whole up down thing all night and I can't live on 2 or 3 hours of broken sleep per night. I can't cope with that. It's meant to continue raining until at least the weekend or later. I also very sore from laying on the hard floor.

Sorry for complaining. I am just really frustrated.

lovethesun2
01-12-2010, 14:27
WWBWB - could you put a mattress on the floor and just sleep in the room with Justin in the short term? Not ideal, but at least you wont have to go as far to settle him, wont be sore and he might be happy just knowing you are there. Obviously not a good habit to form, but I'm a big believer in doing whatever you have to do to get through!!!

I dare say I am going to be runnning to get things done the next few weeks. I am stupid crazy as it is and Mum and Dad have gone on holidays SO I have lost my babysitters as well.

OMG Rach that is fantastic news!! :D

Sorry for the lack of posts etc but I have been so busy, as I guess we all have...

Summer is going well, though she has a tongue tie and it has caused breastfeeding issues and as a result she is now getting more formula then breast milk and I am full of mummy guilt as a result.. :gloomy: On a better note we are getting it snipped next tuesday and I am told we should see instant results.. Hunter is getting better with her and only hit her once yesterday, so Donovan and I were very pleased..

I had one of my oldest friends come today and photograph the kids and I cant wait to see them.. We got Summer naked with just fairy wings on to go with her twinkle toes hands and feet and some in the beautiful dress that Miss R sent her.. :flowerz:

Sonja

MrsPee Scarlett was tongue tied at birth as well. Our paed wouldn't snip it though so it made bf quite challenging but as she refused a bottle we just had to persevere. She learnt to feed around it and eventually it stretched. It's not fun at all but once she's snipped it will be instantly better

Rach so happy for you. I've got a great feeling about this.

AFM had a blue day y'day really missing melb and my friends. The girls have been waking at 430 which hasn't helped, but all slept better this morning so hopefully they're body clocks are sorted now.

big :hugs: to both Sonja and MrsPee.

Sonja - I hope the girls' body clocks sort themselves out, and you need to take care of yourself too. Lots of the focus seems to have been on how the girls will cope moving, but you matter too, and need to take some time out. it's a massive change for you. :hugs:

MrsPee - No guilt please!! :p You are doing the best for Summer right now, and can BF to your heart's content once she is all fixed up!! Little Summer has a super mummy who is looking out for her best needs, and who needs to go easy on herself!
Hope the photos turn out fabulously and I can't wait to see them!!

Rach - :yelclap: for the darker line. I'm waiting with anticipation!!!

AFM - well change of plan once again! We grabbed a last minute appt with our FS and have arranged for a FET this month!! We thought why not try and squeeze another in, and we will know just after xmas if we get our BFP. By that, we will know before xmas if it is a BFN, as my AF will come smack on 14 dpo, and if she fails to arrive, then it will either be limbo land or BFP, and I'll be testing anyway by then, so let the madness ensue!!! I'm kinda glad we decided to take the leap - why not....!! ;)

MrsPee and Sonja :hugs: for you both...

MrsPee - don't feel guilty about doing what's best for Summer... and once snipped she will feed for you... can't wait to see the pics.

Sonja - hope the girls body clocks sort themselves out soon.

Rach - Yay for a darker line...

MG - yay for another cycle... I'll keep my :fingerscrossed: for you :)

AFM - has been a bad day today... didn't start off well but then Emma fell when I was a play place (met up with WWBWB) and hit her head on a glass table... it was the most sickening crack... instant huge lump very lucky not to need stitches... but she has bounced back... we have huge storms here at the moment lots of rain and my bedroom is now wet ... I have also put Emma back in a cot tonight as she just keeps climbing out of her bed so will try again in a few days otherwise will put her cot back up as she is in Abbi's in their room... Abbi's in my spare in my room...

Oh well tomorrow has to be better... but Emma starts day care in 2 weeks so that was a bit of good news... just 1 day a week to see how she goes and Abbi will start at the end of Jan at the same centre... so lucky to get them both in.

Cobbec - Ouch! Poor Emma. So good to hear she bounced back ok. I'm guessing she'll have quite a lump and bruise for a while.

MG - Yay!:smiliedance: I'm so glad you're going again sooner than you thought. I agree with you...why wait!!

Sonja - From my experience with moving it takes a while but things do finally start looking up. I remember when we moved back from Japan to Sydney. DH and I fought for ages everyday because we were both unsettled and, in a way, unhappy and then just suddenly one day I realised that we weren't arguing anymore and that we were finally happy again. Moving is never easy especially when you leave good friends and a good lifestyle behind. It does get better though :)

BT for me tomorrow. I'm not quite sure how I feel about it. I've been feeling really sick on and off for a few days now and have a sore back too but I also think the line on the hpt should be darker and show up faster by now. We're having friends round tomorrow night so at least if it's a no-goer I can drown my sorrows with wine

Sonja
02-12-2010, 20:04
Cobbec we're getting Scarlett into a bed and it's a bit of a disaster tbh. She thinks it's a big joke and no matter how tired she is just stuffs about. The moment we move her to the cot she's asleep. Hmm not sure what we're going to do.

How scary for you today. Glad she's ok. You must have felt sick when you heard the crack.

I've found out I can get scarlett into the childcare centre at the end of our street. Going to check it out next week. I won't start until lucy's at school but she'll go insane at home once lucy's busy all day.

Rach good luck tomorrow. Thanks for your post I really appreciated it. I think tjat's what annoys me most is the arguments DH and I are having. Not really arguments but more just being a bit short with each other. The threat of the move was causing tension and I guess I thought it would be fixed by the move but it will take a bit longer. I also suspect DH is stressed about the new role and the extra responsibility

Anyway we had a much better day today and hopefully there will be heaps more to come.

I managed to get quite a bit of Christmas shopping done without the kids which was very productive. Got my secret santa sorted which was great :santa:

Nothing much happening here today. DH back at work and we've been sorting through the Christmas decorations and setting up the house.

Hope everyone's well. Got my date for my caesar - 11 March. Feels like it will be here before I know it.

Helen - how are you going?

Cobbec - how's Emma going back in the cot? We've been having a bit more success getting Scarlett into her bed but it's different every day.

Kema - how are you?

MrsPee - how are you going?

Ok gotta run. Scarlett's trying to type at the same time as me which is making this very challenging.

Sonja - Glad you are settling in well. It should be nice to have christmas in the new house.

My Secret santa has been organised but have to wait for it to arrive and than post it. Did a bit of online shopping this year for christmas. Easier than to take a sick baby out. She's better now but i was running out of time. Planning to do the last of it on Wednesday and not leaving the shops til i have everything on my list!!

April has her 12 month needles tomorrow. DH has day of work to take her as i didn't want to this time. Hope she is ok, she had a slight reaction to her 6 months one.

Well i have the worst headache so finally after 1 hour of rocking and humming April has gone to sleep and i am going to go to bed now too.

I am starting to really slow down, everything is hurting but I am trying not to complain too much....

Sara ( chub chub) has put up my maternity shoot on facebook and boy she has done a fab job...I just LOVE them....

The boys have been really naughty the last couple of weeks, I think they know something is happening, but in saying that they were back to thier happy selves yesterday and this morning...

They are sleeping over DH's folks tonight to start to get use to it for when I am in hospital, they already go there once a week but don't sleep over, but I am sure they will be fine.

I met up with my old fertility specialist on Sat, she has moved to NSW and never met the boys, so that was lovely for her to finally meet them although she has seen 1000 photo's of them on facebook :D

Anyway I am reading a watching everyone, I just don't post much:o I will hopefully get out tomorrow to get my SS present to send off:D

Kema - so sorry you're going through this :hugs:. I'm feeling like cr@p too with the move and everything - Scarlett's sleep is up to sh!t again and we're both so exhausted plus DH is working really long hours so I'm stuck in the 'burbs for 11 hours a day with only the girls for company.

This time of year makes it harder I think - the general cheeriness everywhere you go makes me want to punch someone .

Seriously though I'm quite concerned as I'm in quite an isolated area and once #3 comes along I reckon I'm an absolute certain candidate for PND. Trying to work out some strategies now to avoid it but it feels like it's just there waiting to happen.

Hi Everyone

I know I dont post much but I do read and try to keep up with everything .

Sonja welcome to Perth  Im a Perth girl, are you north or south of the river? It must be very hard to make such a big move especially at this time of the year. If you ever need anything you need only ask.

Kema big hugs to you, I hope you are getting all the help and support that you need.

Helenhastwins I can totally relate to having a testing toddler (although I only have one) it can defiinately try ones patience.

To all the other lovely ladies  I hope you are all well.

AFU well Sophie is now 15mths still not walking but has just gotten her 16th tooth, hopefully thats it for a while. I have enrolled her in daycare for one day a week as I havent had a day away from her since she was born and I really need some me time (my hair looks terrible lol). If I dont I think I will lose it. I really feel like my head is not in a good space lately so Im hoping its just a case of needing some me time.

Well I best be going to bed I think.

Big hugs to Kema, you know where I am if you ever want to chat xoxo

Waves to everyone, I can't keep up with you all we've been so busy this past week it's been stupid!

Mitchell has his Paed Physio appt on Tuesday at RCH so I am hoping we can get some action happeneing- that 18mth 'deadline' is looming up. He went back to the health nurse on tuesday just gone and I was all excited thinking he had finally cracked the 9kg mark (he was 8.86kg 7 weeks ago) and he weighed in at 8.92, so that has him even further off the bottom of the chart, and the size of an average 8 month old :(

hunnybunny
09-12-2010, 07:13
BF, :hugs: I hope the appt goes well and you get some results. It must be very hard for you.

Kema, much love to you. You know I have been there and if theres anything I can do just let me know, will pm you my number :hugs:

Cashahn, 16 teeth!! Wow! I hope the time to yourself lets you recharge your batteries so you feel a bit better. My two go to daycare one day a week and its a lifesaver.

Sonja, I imagine it would be very hard feeling so isolated in a new town. :hugs: Hopefully the feeling doesnt last too long.

I am off to pick up the christmas laybuys today, and try to finish my shopping. I've had a terrible sleep though and its not a good start! My medication has been changed so I have been a bit all over the place, it really messes with everything, so I've been a bit quiet. Been here reading though.

Sonja
09-12-2010, 10:15
Cashahn - the move has been harder than I thought tbh. The weather in Melbourne this year has driven us all insane along with the amount of travelling my DH has done so I think I thought we'd get over here and everything would be perfect straight away. Well of course it won't be! DD1 has been incredible but DD2 isn't settling as well. She's now had fevers for the past few days making her extra clingy. I'm now 26 weeks and find it all a bit much some days.

We're up in Trigg. Where are you?

Kema
09-12-2010, 13:13
Thanks girls

Sonja - I think having strategies in place before bubs comes is a great idea, I had things in place this time around but I still had to admit to myself that I wasn't coping, I think that's the hardest bit.

I feel so different this time, I guess I just imagined I'd feel like I did after Isla and would instantly know. It wasn't until I went to my GP who said something so simple "of course it feels different this time, it is different" that I finally felt heard, with Isla it was an unsettled baby and a feeling of incompetence that lead to my depression, this time around it was a stressful pregnancy and traumatic birth, all I really wanted was for those who were with me at the time (my OB, midwife, etc) to acknowledge that it was a really traumatising time...of course they can't but I finally realized that the fact they were worried about my mental health before and after Hendrixs delivery is their acknowledgement, IYKWIM?

Sonja, it would be so hard making that big a move now... I'm glad you're trying to get things in place to help you after bubs birth.

AFU, well still waiting for carpets to get dried... mould is now growing on them...yay!!! The house settles tomorrow I am so excited... I am over the rain and storms we have been having... Abbi has started on solids... touch wood no one is sick at the moment which is an effort in itself lol...

BF - Hope something works out with Mitchell. He will get there. He looks like a happy little boy in your photos so you are doing something right:)

Cobbec - Hope the rain goes away for you and your carpets get cleaned. You don't want mould growing. Hope Abbi goes well with the solids.

Kema - Glad you are being acknowledged and hope you feel better soon. Every birth is different and when you have an experience like you and I had, it takes longer to recover mentally. Here for you if you need to talk.

Sonja - Sorry you are not settling in as well as you'd hoped. It's funny how we get this plan in our heads how things are going to be and everything will be better and perfect when the reality is things never really work out how we want them to. Hope you do settle in soon. Maybe once the christmas rush is over and everyone is back to normal. Good you know you are at risk. Have you found a doctor over there to talk to? My history is one of depression since my teens so my dr was well on the lookout for me as was my family.

Well i sent out my Secret santa today. Only arrived today so posted straight away. Bit later than the 10th but it will arrive next week for sure.

Most of my shopping is done. Was out til 8pm last night and more shopping tomorrow but only 4 more to find for. THey are all wrapped and piled on our spare bed as can't put under tree due to April's sticky little fingers:laughing:

Wow there are heaps more icons now. Am going to use a few just for the sake of it!

Hi all:froggy:, just a quickie as im exhausted - packing and moving next wednesday and not making much progress

Had my morph scan yesterday and both twins are measuring perfect and have all their bits. Didnt find out flavours but are sure that twin B is pink, so we are thrilled at the prospect of a daughter :babygirl: but really its not been confirmed so will be a long 18 weeks till we find out for sure. Had OB follow up today and both twins are over the 59th percentile for single babies which is apparently really great for twins. Have been discussing birth options but at this stage none the wiser in that dept, which is cruel because im such a planner and like to know what im doing (which OB thinks is hilarious...)

SS :xmas: will be in post tmrw, had triplet babysitting duties today so didnt make it to the shops

Sonja I think there may be a virus going around as Soph has woken up a few nights dripping in sweat and was very grumpy during the day and losing it over the smallest thing. Oh Trigg is a nice area and not far from me at all, Im in Wanneroo which is about 15-20min north of where you are. Like I said if you ever need anything even just someone to chat with Im not far away at all :sunshine:

Backflip my BF little man weighed 8.4kg at about 15mths as he had a severe food allergy, he is doing well now. If your little guy is happy and seems good in himself then maybe he just needs some more time. I know its hard not to worry about them though. And its really hard to get them to gain weight at this age as I dont think Soph has gained anything in the last 3mths, she has been 11.2kg everytime I have weighed her.

Lulusmum so glad the twinnies are growing well, looks like they may be a good size too.

Cobbec how frustrating about your carpets hope you can get them done soon. Good luck with the settlement tomorrow.

To everyone I have missed Hello and I hope you are all well.

AFU well I had Soph in bed with me this morning as I usually do for a snuggle and play after her 7am bottle and we were playing with her teddys and she was laughing so hard she started hiccuping which in turn made her spew  lovely start to the day!

I like the new smilies especially these two :computerprobs: :freakingout:.

Just a quick one. April took 2 tentative steps tonight!!! :cheerleader1:I was out to dinner with a friend and her son. April had been chasing him round and round the table crawling and she stood up which she had been doing and let go and took 2 steps!!

I am so glad i saw it and also had a witness. When we went back to my house later for coffee, she did it again - 2 more steps and she was so proud of herself. You ought to have seen the look on her face. I am so proud of her.

Oh and in the mornings we now have this happening :hoponbed:

Hi girls just a quick update on us we ended up at the hopsitial last night after Justin had a febrile convulsion. They sent us home after a while only to have a second one at 3am.

So far as long as i keep the dose of panadol up to date every four hours so far its keeping the temp at bay.

We are an exhursted household today to say the least. Sorry about the quick post just an update here.

WWBWB - oh my, that sounds horrible! I'm so sorry to hear that Justin is suffering so. I hope he gets better soon and you all can catch up on some much needed rest. :hugs:

Sonja - I really feel for you. It sounds like moving right before Christmas may not have been the best time. Although, it's not like there's ever a good time to move away from all your good friends and support. I hope you are able to find some amazing friends soon and start loving your move. :gl:

AFM - Just trying to think positively about our transfer in January, which hasn't been easy, and enjoy this time of year. J3 loves the lights everywhere and loves to look at the Christmas trees. It's so much fun seeing things through the eyes of a child. Other than that, I feel like i've turned into the warranty police. I have to stay home way too many days to handle warranty problems. We had a leak that we've been complaining about since we moved in, that was July. They've sent multiple people out who told us there was no leak (because the meter wasn't spinning when they turned off thewater). I kept telling them that they needed to dig. I even told them where to dig. No one wanted to do it. FINALLY on Thursday I got someone to dig and keep digging until they found it. Golly gee willikers, there's a leak. Duh!!! I hate having to be the tough one but I'm very glad the problem has been found and hopefully fixed. Okay, enough from me. Luv you all.

Hi everyone

Super quick one from me as Lucy and I have not long returned from a quick trip to Melbourne. We flew over Friday morning (courtesy of Dylan's work) for her kindy graduation and to catch up with her friends. It was such a great trip as it actually reminded me of all the reasons I was happy to leave Melbourne and I think she was happy to leave today as well. Knowing we'd be going to the beach this afternoon made it very easy.

WWBWB - hope Justin's better soon.

Ibb - yay April - I much prefer the walking to the crawling phase.

Ok better run and continue unpacking.

Hey ladies,
So sorry I've not been around for a while. I've been up my own bum trying to organise and plan everything out for our trip to England and along with that, Maxi and work, have been finding it all a bit too much! We fly tomorrow afternoon and still not fully ready!

I've posted my SS (last week actually) so I'm hoping it got there ok.

I haven't got time to do personals but I am thinking of you all and hope that whatever challenges you're currently facing disappear soon and are replaced by the joy of our little munchkins smiling faces on Christmas Day. However you spend yours, I hope it's a reuly wonderful day for you and your families.

Just a quick me me me post! I tested the phernergan on Max and it seeed to make him sleepy although he woke easily when I went into him 3 hours later. At least he didn't go hyperactive. I've bought half a ton of snacks, stickers, toys etc to try to keep him entertained!
I've also got my refresher chat booked at Sydney IVF for about 3 days after we come back!!! I had hoped to lose some of the 3 billion kilos I've put on over last 6 months (was horrified by photos taken a Mothers GRoup picnic yesterday :(), but don't want to put things on hold.

Ha ha - got to go as am ovulating and DH has just told me to get into the bedrooom!!!! Might as well give it a go :hoponbed:

Have a fab Christmas everyone - I'll be thinking of you all as I freeze my *** off in England!!!!!

Lola, have a blast. Hope the snow is not as bad where you are going as they are showing on tele. Hope Max has a fantastic 1st white christmas. Really hope the flight over is uneventful and talk to you when you get back hopefully with positive news for us:santa:

Helen - Oh it would be exciting to have a xmas bub on here. Do you know you will be early ie planned? or just guessing.

Have fun all you girls going over to Helens tomorrow and i want to see pics.

Sonja- Hope the festive season does kick in soon for you and you manage to enjoy this christmas with your family.

Forever - Good for you persevering with the leak. Glad they found it. Try to enjoy christmas without thinking about the transfer. We were meant to be having the transfer about now and finding out right on christmas but now waiting til after my spec apmt. A bit disappointed but trying not to crystal ball and will wait til the time comes to worry about it.

Well April has taken a few more steps but only once a day. She doesnt seem to be in a rush to really start walking it seems but i am sure she will be by christmas so that will add another dimension to the day. We went to our friends place for dinner on Saturday and i was a mega stress head all night. We have only been out with April to family places so as its different with family homes and your more comfy and everyone picks her up i didnt ever have to stress but this was their brand new home they had built and only been there 8 weeks so everything was perfect and there she is spitting food on the floor (tiled), crawling around everywhere putting her fingers and face against the windows (floor to midwaist height) and pressing against the flyscreen. My friend was like dont worry i havent done my housework yet but i was glad to leave and get home. We are most likely going over there on New Years as its her 30th bday as well and i was thinking of leaving April with mum and dad but DH is like " you want to celebrate New years without your baby" so dont know yet.

ibb - IMHO I wouldn't take April unless you know she'll settle and have a good time otherwise you'll spend the night settling her and stressing. sorry for not being around and doing personals. i feel like it's about me me me all the time at the moment!!
Got a call from the lab and my embie defrosted with 75% however didn't re-expand. I've given them the go ahead to thaw the other little one, and we can pick from there. A bit disappointing, but still, this is the easiest cycle I've ever had!! May even suggest to DH to pop both back in. i looked at an Oxford web page re this situation, and there is a substantial decrease in pregnancies resulting from a non-expanding FET, (as in 6% : 43%), so think I've made the right choice. Fingers crossed this one (or 2 ) sticks and I'll be tea totalling for NYE!

I get PUPO today!!!!

Ok, so Mitchell needs to see an occupational therapist and a speech therapist and review physio on the 4th jan. At this stage we have just been given some excerises to do with him for the next 3 weeks and see if there is an improvement. The physio seemed to think he was a little behind in his play and that might be affecting his body ie if his brain says he only needs to play with rattles then his body won't progress. She also thinks that weight gain will help with energy and therefore development. None the wiser really..

One day at a time I guess.

Sonja
15-12-2010, 15:38
BF sounds like you are none the wiser. So have they ruled out anything more serious? One of the guys I worked with said neither of his kids walked til they were close to 2 and he and his wife were the same. Freaked them out with the 1st but when the 2nd did the same they didn't worry. I hope the exercises help.

Well nothing much happening here. Settled back in after our super quick visit to Melbourne. No secret santa here yet - very jealous of you girls!

Backflip
15-12-2010, 16:03
No they haven't ruled out something more serious, TBH I feel a little like he's a mystery to these 'professionals' so they just keep referring him to someone else (read handballing) so they don't have to look any deeper...
He has to go back to the Neuro sometime early in the new year, so hopefully he will have some real tests or something to give us some answers... I get fustrated by 'alternatives' that seem to do nothing...

15-12-2010, 19:01
BF - how frustrating. You're doing an amazing job coping with being passed around by the specialists. Mitchell looks so happy in all of the photos.

Well I've spotted a bit this afternoon so have been freaking out. Sorry TMI, it was just when I wiped and was light pink and I haven't had any cramping. I rang the clinic and the nurse said pessaries can cause spotting so I'm hoping it's just that. I'm having another HCG done tomorrow anyway but unfortunately won't get the results of that until late Friday. Until then I guess I just have to wait and see how things progress. I don't have a good feeling abOut this at the moment but hopefully I'm wrong.

Rach - sorry to hear that, im sure its nothing and i had the same sort of thing with the crinone - apparently if you stay on it long enough it can cause irritation which can cause a bit of spotting - i hope that 'bad' feeling goes away and you are worrying for nothing. Just a quick one from me... This is in regards to Sophie Giraffe... I'm not sure how many of you had them with your bubs or plan to use them with this bub. We were looking at getting them in the shop as we get at least 3 calls a day for them but after doing research we will not be stocking them. I have included a link on feedback on Amazon for them which is very scary... they were also recalled in Canada in 2008 for the same reason... just want you to be aware is all...

Cobbec - That is so scary. I have a couple friends with new babies so will post this on fb straight away.

Rach - I was on progesterone pessaries for 8 weeks and had orange pink tint on the toilet paper. It can cause irritation and i think spotting, maybe ask your ob or chemist for info about it. Hope all is still ok

BF - Hope someone gives you answers for Mitchell. I am feeling that way a bit too. We have been seeing a speech therapist and occupational therapist and now a dietician about Aprils eating or lack of. She will now after 3 months put pretty any food in her mouth but will not swallow. She will swallow water, milk and yoghurt but anything else gets softened and spat/choked or removed out of her mouth. I feel a bit at a loss too as its slow progress but it is progress. Hope they can help Mitchell too

Thanks for all your posts and concerns. LM, sorry I haven't gotten here earlier. I had some more spotting (more like bleeding I think) today. It's only been the once and isn't constant and I don't have any pain. Still I'm not getting my hopes up. Any bleeding in my past has lead to either m/c or ectopic. I had a BT done this morning and I'm hoping to get the results around 4 today (the nurse kindly marked it urgent for me). I'll let you know what they are when I get them.

LulusMum
16-12-2010, 13:22
Rach - i really hope its nothing, although with your history i can understand your concerns. Heaps of the girls in my 'due in' thread had similar bleeding around the gestation you are now - all due to a small haematoma forming under the placenta - apparently its common as this is when things are really starting to set in and grow. Again, i hope its nothing 'bad' and bub is just keeping you on your toes :fingerscrossed::hugs:

16-12-2010, 13:57

As soon as I got home I came on here to find out how you were Rach. i hope you aren't pulling your hair out right now. I can't imagine how you are feeling.

AFM - we had a great morning. had breakfast in town with DH and then popped over to my parent's for a play. Dad went to get mum up in the afternoon (this is her normal routine), but found she had tried to get up a couple of times and felt giddy and unwell. He helped her onto the toilet, and then we find out she has had a vomit. She actually vomited blood, so not good at all. Off to the hospital in an ambulance. dad will come here afterwards and have tea with us. She has been an unwell woman most of her life, and I joke that she will outlive us all, she is so pickled with various medications. Hoping this is just a bleed which can be stabilised and then investigated. Ambos couldn't get a BP on her while she was sitting, and though mum is pretty white, she was deathly white. I am actually quite worried for her, which is unusual, because usually all her illnesses are of the longstanding variety which we as a family don't take too much notice of. I'm sure all will be ok.

BF, that must be so frustrating for you, feeling like you are being passed around with no answers. Mitchell is just such a beautiful little boy :hugs:

Sorry I havent been posting much, I've been reading, just feeling quite tired, my medication change has messed up my sleep a bit and I'm trying to get it sorted out.

Rach - any news? I understand your hesitation at thinking positive, so i will do that for you while you stress out :hugs:Your right about not dwelling though, easier said then done most of the time though;)

MG - how awful, i hope she is OK, im sure S will be a great distraction for your dad tonight though:cuddle:

i got my multiple newsletter today and DH is in there with max (photo) at the xmas picnic getting apressie off santa. They must have though max was a twin cause there is a little boy about maxs age standing right next to DH - DH pointed it out to me that might be the reason they had a photo done to which i reply "as if i would ever put a baby in socks and sandals....":o I have therefore been labeled "sock snob" this arvo:D

No news from me yet. Grrr.

MG - How worrying. I hope your mum is feeling better soon and it's just a bug she picked up.

LM - You're hilarious. A 'sock snob'. But I wouldn't do it either. Actually isn't it starting to become 'in' again?

Hi

Well my HCG is still on track. It's doubling every 46hours at the moment and I haven't actually bled/spotted since 10.30am. Hmmm. Hopefully it's all ok but I'm still not doing this :smiliedance: just yet.

Sonja
16-12-2010, 18:39
Rach - that's great news. As you won't be :smiliedance: yet I'll quietly do a few of these at home for you :cheerleader2: :cheerleader1:.

HB - hope you get your meds sorted soon. My BF is on meds that play havoc with her sleep from time to time and it's not fun.

LM - I agree with the socks and sandals business. Never in this household :shame:

Nothing much happening here. Off to get a few stocking stuffers for the girls from Target tonight - definitely know I'm living in the 'burbs when I'm excited about going late night shopping at Target on a Thursday :D

LM & Sonja - thanks for cheering from the sidelines. I do feel relieved.

Rach - excited (quietly) for you. I'm sure like the others said that it is the Clexane and the Crinone pessaries.

No news at the moment. Dad came over last night (also my brother and sister) and had tea. Mum was transferred to another hospital where a gastroenterologist she sees, visits. She is in ICU, but Dad said she seemed a bit perkier. She has had a couple of units of blood and when Dad left she had some platelets up as well. However, she did have quite bloody poo, so hoping they can get this bleeding under control. She is on a blood thinner, so obviously they have stopped that. Her haemoglobin was really quite low from what Dad said, so hoping that has increased and she has had no more bleeds.
Her specialist will be visiting this morning, and I'm gathering she'll be having an endoscopy to find out what's going on. Problem with mum is she is a pretty high risk for anaesthetic, so that has it's own dangers too.
Sorry for the blahhhhhhh.

Thinking of you all, but too much happening here to post.

MG - Thinking of you. Hope they can get the bleeding under control and work out what's going on with your mum. Don't forget to take care of yourself too and those two (or perhaps three) little bubbas on board.

No more spotting from me since yesterday at 10.30 but so I think I'm back on track again:smiliedance:. One more week till my scan. Thanks girls for all your support.

MG - I'm so sorry to hear about your mother. I really hope that they figure out what's causing the bleeding soon. And hopefully it won't be anything too serious causing it. On another note, congrats on being PUPO. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Rach - So glad your HCG levels are rising the way they're supposed to. I know you're still a little nervous but I'm excited for you. I have a really good feeling about this.

I'm on my cell so sorry this one is so short. But I wanted to say Hi to everyone and let you all know you're in my thoughts.

Rach - SOOO glad to hear your HCG is increasing. I had bleeding with A at around the same gestation, scared the sh*t out of me and I was SO relieved to see all was ok at the scan. I hope everything with your bubba is now on track and its snuggling in nice and warm. Naughty bubby for scaring Mummy!!

MG - Oh babe I hope everything is ok with your Mum, sounds like she's had / having a really rough time. I really hope you are ok. :hugs:

Hi Girls,

Sorry I will have to catch up with how everyone is going later as I have had a very stressful 24 hours.

Michael has been sick since Wednesday, well I wouldn't call it sick really, he just had high temps only so we thought he might be getting his second lot of molars.

We kept him home Thursday from daycare ( Jack went and had a great day) and still nothing really just very tired and temps. By now not eating much

Then yesterday we kept him home again and he just did not seem himself and very tired and clingy, but I noticed his left ear looked strange and was really swollen.

DH had a huge meeting on work so could not stay home so I rang Michael's Godfather ( who is luckly on holidays) to help me take him to the gp to get checked out...

Now to cut a long story short they sent us straight to emergancy with a condition call Mastoiditis ( which is very serious) They did explain it too me at the hosptial but I have googled it for you guys.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mastoiditis

Within 20 mins of being at the hospital, Michael had had a ultra sound bloods, CT scan and IV put in and was booked in for surgery, I was a absoulute mess, DH just managed to get to the hospital just before the put him under for surgery. Scariest day of my life.

The surgery went well and the drained the area and have put in a shunt, he will be in hospital for about 4 days depending on how he goes with the antibiotics.

DH slept there last night and will everynight and I will be going up during the day, I felt really bad I did not stay but I could not sleep on on of the hosptial cots....I will be going up there very soon.

Jack is at his grandparents ( I am missing him like crazy) he is missing Michael very much, I will probly get them to bring him up today to see us and Michael.

Sorry for the me post, I just wanted you all to know what was going on, I know most of you know from fb but I have not put all the details on there.

Talk soon

Helen

Helen - I saw some of your posts on FB. I hope you are ok hun. Sounds like you have been through a rough time, and poor Michael. I hope he recovers well, and that Jack gets to see his partner in crime soon.

AFM - Mum had a bleeding ulcer which needed to be cauterised, but will apparently be ok. Her body is starting to fail her, so I think we will be in this position again more and more often. :(

Helen - I don't think i have you on fb so didn't know
How scary for you all. I am glad the surgery went well and hope you have joined him by now and he was full of smiles and cuddles for his mummy. Hope Jack is ok and you are calmer as well.:cuddle:

MG - Glad your mum is ok now but terrible when the body starts breaking down. Hope you're ok

Rach - Great news the bleeding has stopped. Can't wait for news on your scan.

AFU - 1st night away from April. We went out to dinner, went to the club, lost money on keno and pokies:( and was back home 11pm. We are no longer the party animals we used to be. Straight to bed and sleep for us
I of course woke twice but went straight back to sleep and than have been awake since 8.40am so i guess a good night but would have loved to sleep longer.
Texted mum and she said they are still sleeping so guessing she gave them a roughish night! :laughing:which would be the only reason she would still be sleeping at 9am
Going to catch up in some housework, breakfast and than go get her to take over to Grandma who is back from holidays and waiting for her birthday pressie from April.

Helen - how awful and frightening for you and the family. What a stressful time. Hope Michael's on the mend now and will be home soon. So lucky to have so much support around you particularly being so late in your pregnancy. Let us know how he is when you get a chance :hugs:.

MG - glad your mum's on the mend but sounds like you're got a tough road ahead of you.

ibb - glad you enjoyed your night out. We used to get a babysitter occasionally when we just had Lucy and she actually asked us one night not be come back so early as she would make plans to meet friends later and we'd always come home an hour or more earlier and she'd have to hang around waiting for them - so we used to sit in the pub at the end of our street waiting for the allotted time so we could go home and go to bed. Just not ragers anymore that's for sure.

Hope you have a nice weekend. Will be thinking of you Helen.

Helen - How scary. So glad the surgery's over and Michael is doing ok. Hope you're going ok too.

MG - Good to hear they found the cause of your mums bleeding. Sounds like it might be a bit of tough time coming up. On a lighter note, when will you POAS?

Waiting - Thanks for popping in and saying hi.

Sonja - Hilarious that you and DH used to sit at the local pub waiting for your time to go home.

Hi Guys...Helen asked that I update you all.

Michael has pulled out his IV and they could not get it back in. So this means that he has to have his antibiotics administered by needles. Apparently they are huge and very painful. He had a rough night last night and fell alseep at 1am. Having the antibiotics by needle and not IV means his stay in hospital may be longer but it means he has the freedom to play without an IV.

Good news is that Helen got some sleep but her poor DH is shattered. She is so shattered and emotionally spent, the poor thing:no:. I am hoping that he gets home sooner than later. Helens sister has arrived back from being away to give them some time to catch up on sleep.

I will update you all when I hear anything.

CC - Thanks for updating us. Please give Helen and her family my love. :hugs:How horrible to be going through this especially with Christmas coming up but also at all. Hope the antibiotics work and he gets to come home soon.
I feel for her poor DH, you dont get any sleep in the childrens ward, i only slept 2 nights there but i was exhausted. Looks like a longer stay for him.

Sonja - thats so funny about your babysitter asking you to stay out late. How dare you inconvenience her by coming home early. Hope you didn't have to pay her that extra hour cheeky thing.
We had a good night and mum and dad raved about how good she was even though she woke 3 times and they gave her 3 bottle in 4 hours!! Oh well its new to them and her.

MG - Good luck POAS. Hope you get your BFP:fingerscrossed:

Well this morning April took 7 steps and than when i called out to Daniel and took her to the room he was in, she walked 9!! Later she went into our room and stood in front of the wardrobe mirror and clapped herself while bouncing up and down.:laughing:I think i can safely assume she will be walking on christmas day which will add a whole new element of fun as its at my uncle and his fiance's house.
