Hello, I have been living with my partner for 5 months now I have 2 kids and he has 2. Mine live with us but see their father on a regular basis. His children live with their Mum and they stay with us 2-3 nights a week. Does anyone in a blended family feel like they live separate lives with their own kids? At the moment DP and I have separate money he provides for his children and me for mine. He works away in the mines so he is only home for 4 days at a time, I work full time. When he is home he collects only his kids from school and mine go to after school care as he says this is his time to have alone with his children, which of course I dont have a problem with him spending time alone with his kids. But we have talked about getting married having another child etc how would this work with things as they are now, I would feel as though my kids were getting left out. I am not even sure what I want to know. Does anyone else do things separate like this?
