View Full Version : Where will your baby sleep?

We started to go off topic a bit in the belly shots thread, so I thought I'd start a newbie.
I am hoping to put both the boys in together and put Brooke back in her room and put the cot in there. She sleeps through anything and I figure the baby will only be crying for 30 seconds tops until I jump out of bed and get there. Can't put the cot in our room as DH is a shift worker and the baby would need to be sleeping during the day while he is. Plus babies are too noisy and they keep me awake if they are any closer then 10m to me, LOL.

Sorry we went off topic there, it was a good conversation we were having!.. As I said Bubs will be in our room til he/she is 6 months old at this point. That's what we did with our first son.

I'm all for going off topic, I like my online conversations to flow freely like real life ones.
Just thought this would be a popular topic though so it deserves it's own thread.

New bub will have their own room. They might sleep in our room to start off with in the cradle, but I dont know wether to just put bub straight into his/hers own room.
If its twins, they can start off together, but will seperate to seperate rooms. My new house has 4 bedrooms, all double size.
that is the big question in this house. My first slept in a bassinette in our room for 1 and a half nights, then I kicked her out, as she was too noisy. My son however spent a few months in our room, before moving into his own room. This time around someone will need to share, not sure if I will put the two big kids together, until bubs is a bit older, or if I will put bubs in with my son...

We were in a one bedroom granny flat for the first 7 mths of DS1's life so he obviously slept in our room, first week or so in the pram by our bed then across the room in his cot.
DS2 was born smack bang in middle of winter so we had him in our room in a portacot so we could maintain room temperature at comfortable.... I can't remember how long that lasted - prob about 6-8 weeks.

Thinking of having the cot in our bedroom for a couple of months.
If that doesn't work out, the baby will move to his/her room.
