Sad- they are sending me home today. :-(

I had my little baby (Aurora) on Monday six weeks premature. She got very sick very quickly after birth so they transferred her and I to another hospital.

So far I had been able to stay in cause iv been avoiding the nurses and staying in the nursery alot but they just came in then yep at6:30am and told me I have to go home today!

I knew it was coming iv been waiting for it cause I had a normal birth and I thought id be ok with it. But my heart is broken.

I am 57km from the hospital and I can't stay at the cottage thing they have here for situations like his because I need to be 100km away!

I don't have a breast pump and until the baby bonus comes through no money to buy one so i don't know how ill express...

Man I'm sad what a sad thing to wake up too.

Hugs. Is there someone you can borrow the money off for the pump? Ask anyone you know as you need a pump. I know I would help out anyone who asked for money for that purpose. I only had to leave my bub at hospital for a few hours while I went and got everything I needed set up at home and it was heart wrenching and I knew I would be back for him later that day. Keep strong today as you walk out without her.

Have you asked the hospital about borrowing a breast pump?

If not, you should call the ABA- 1800 mum2mum, I think they either have some, or would know where you can borrow one from.

you can hire pumps from the chemist. DH hired me one last week, its still a bit $$ but do worth it. apparently if you are a member of thr ABA you can get discount hire from them, so give them a call
