I agree TT !
Looks like a premmie would really benefit from it especially when they dont get as much "touch" as a normal newborn !

I'd be worried my kid would grow up with a phobia of muppets.

I think it's not a bad idea, especially for those sleepless nights some parents have when all the baby wants is comfort such as a hand on the shoulder.

 I dont think its a bad idea either because I know what its like when you finally get bubs to sleep then take your hands off and they are wide awake again!
Wow, I wouldnt want my child getting used to it!

I think that is actually freakier than that thing you attach to your vacuum cleaner to suction the snot out of your baby's nose.

your kidding me right, that better not exist:eek:
the hands thing as much as it might be a 'good idea' freaks me out:D Would be very funny when they get to 18/19 and are with their other half
"oh hun wats that"
"just my sleeping hands, can't sleep without them"
is it scarier that people make these things, or that consumers buy them??

I agree with Charmzy...leaving Jesse every night in the special care nursery, all alone in his little 'box' tore my heart out - I would have loved something like this to make him feel more secure, just like "Mummy's here".

VERY Weird but kinda gorgeous for all those premmie bubs and the mums that have to tear themselves away from them each night in the Special Care Nursery. Overall a good idea! I hope the chick that invented it does well for herself, good invention!
not a silly idea really....i used to wedge a blanket under my babies butts to pretend i still had pressure there lol
it looks kinds cute but weird to

What the hell... whatever this is, it sounds pretty bl**dy dangerous!
Oh that's way too freaky. It's not some april fools day joke someone took a bit too seriously??

What I really need is something that simulates my face, so that DD can maul that while she is going to sleep rather than my face! Sometimes I feel like a scratching post
But that vacuum thing weirded me out! Not to mention how it would freak out the baby, having that thing come towards them.
Maybe I could get a set for my husband too, then I wouldn't have to do anything  (just kidding - especially if DH is reading over my shoulder!!!!!)

What's strange though is that their main selling point reads:
'If you’ve ever wished for a “hand” to leave behind so that your baby would feel as if you’ve never left the room, your prayers have been answered with the Zaky.'
Then in the warnings section it says:
'DO NOT leave your child unattended while using the Zaky'
........is it just me or do those two points TOTALLY contradict each other?

Its weird, more tools for a detached parent.
(loved the cartoon seekrit, I can just imagine a child draging that around in the *insert grimey public place here* instead of their blankie)
God forbid a child would actually become attached to their mother for comfort:crying: .

Goosie, I see where you're coming from, and I posted this earlier, but my VERY first thought when I saw this product was "how beautiful for a bub of a mum who has to drag herself away from her baby EVERY night for the ENTIRE night while they lie in a box in Special Care". I'd have one in a instant if I was in this situation and I am all for anything AP.

OMG I have never seen anything so ridiculous. The hands look like sesame street puppet hands or something. How creepy, I wonder what kind of wierdo would buy it.

"kangaroo care" it works and its better than an isolete anyday!
(stuffed animals, pillows and the like are not supposed to be in the isolete or cots for that matter as the risk of suffocation and contaminated stuffing is a litigation worry for hospitals)
Hospitals have this addiction to seperation of babies, In chilli they cant afford all the gizmos ( isoletes, apnoea monitors, oxygen analysers, O2 sats monitors) we have here so the mothers stay in hospital with the baby down their shirts even when on Oxygen and being tube fed. Guese what they dont have to stay long! Real human touch and warmth is a magical thing.
