How many 'boo boo's' do you have a day?

Were up to an average of about 6.

Yesterday we had;
1. DD smaked herself in the head with her rattle.
2. DD crawled smack bang into the leg of the coffee table
3. DD got her hang caught in the entertianment unit door
4. DD roll head first into the side of her cot
5. DD got both feet wedged between the bars of her cot.
6. DD scratched herself (with her tiny nails that I cut just the night before) across the face.

Im seriously considering wrapping her in buddle wrap, strapping her down in her bouncer and covering the house in foam.

More than I can count, 4 of us have been up for 2 hours & so far -
J's fallen off the entertainment unit
T's fallen off her bike
A's smacked her head on the table while trying to stand under it. She thinks she still fits, which she doesn't.
Girls killed the VCR
J locked himself in the girls bedroom. That one was my fault cause I forget to put the door stop on.

I get more than DD does, but I'm just clumsy! :laughing:

She's tripped over her own feet this morning though, that was so funny even she laughed about it!

Oh my God wait til she starts walking!!

DS has started walking about 2 weeks ago and so stacks it about every 30 seconds. Big stacks (crying) about every 15 minutes! He falls down (usually from standing on a toy or something from not watching where he puts his feet), pinches fingers in doors, pulls books down on himself, cracks his head against things! Poor little bugger. :laughing:

He gets over it all pretty quickly though hahaha.

I never realised what a blessing a little 'imobile' baby was :laughing: There was once or twice I would thing 'gosh its lovely being about to put DD down and hang out the washing and KNOW shes not getting into anything', I never really thought about how much she would/could hurt herself though. I was looking around my lounge room this morning and cant believe how many 'dangers' there are. Time to start child proffing the house i think.

When my DD started walking, i swear people must have thought i was beating her reguarly :laughing:. She always ahd at least 1 bruise somewhere from falling over or knocking her head on something.

Please dont wrap her in bubble wrap...its a normal part of learning to move!!! :flowerz:
She'll find her feet soon enough and my advice to you is, keep and eye on her but let her do her own thing and dont make a fuss when she falls...unless of course she REALLY hurts herself... you dont want a toddler who is afraid of everything and cries every time they fall!!!

Let her be inderpendant...she'll thank you for it later!!! :wave:

Well, my DD is 9 months and the week before she started crawling, she whacked her head on the tiles (well I think it was the tiles)... I have no idea how she did it! There were no tears, one minute she was fine, the next I picked her up and she had a bump and bruise on her forehead... :confused:

I felt horrible! Fast forward a week, and she started crawling last Saturday (yay, Ella)! And into everything, so yes, we are baby proofing the house too (getting down on our tummies and having a look)... I know she will get much worse, but still...

DS3 is completely obsessed with motorX and EVERYTHING invloves '360's, nose manuals, backflips' etc etc so we get lots cos he has to jump off everything- all the time!!!:hair: i'm so sick of having to reassemble my house because everything has been pulled apart to make 'jumps and ramps'
he hadn't walking long and i found him trying to get his brothers scooter onto the coffee table to '380' off it!

Put it this way if DD isnt strapped into her wheelchair she has to wear a helmet and i cant be more than a metre away from her at any time. She is 4.5 and can walk but she walks very much like bambi. So its a bit of a drunken stager then a fall, and she doesnt have the ability to put her hands down quick enough so she fals on the heaviest part of her body whish is unfortunately not her butt, so her head cops the brunt of it. Trouble is she seems to thing ehr helmet is a roll cage so doesnt even try not to fall now, grrrr

Oh, Amy, I did have a giggle at your post, not in a laughing at you way, but just the way you described the way Miki walks like a bambi!!!!!! LOL

We have too many stacks/boo boo's to count!!!!! Especially when she gets tired, she gets this drunk walk thing going on, giggles endlessly and falls over as soon as she stands up!!

I was just saying to DH that when she starts child care I am going to be the mother who gets phoned every 1/2 hour for them to tell me she has hurt herself again!!

She gets it from me, I am exactly the same!!!

My dd defiantly takes after her dad, which I guess is a good thing! She very rarely has accidents! She has a graze on her knee from running and she feel over but that was a few days ago now! Oh she bit her tongue(bad bad mum hit her head into the car door:()so I guess that was more me! that also was a few days ago! Nope no injuries here today! But the day is young and we are baby sitting her little friend who is a boy and he likes to rough her up a bit!!

I wish everyone would remember that when they go to childcare :laughing: Everyday accidents that happen at home also happen in care but you add an accident report and it just becomes more obvious.

My DS is getting pretty good at walking by himself but every now and then he will have a shocking day where he will have one fall after another.

We have at least two head whacks on furniture a day and DS falls over several times a day too.

The worst part is that half the time (probably more than half) the bumps and knocks are MY fault. Like, I'm holding his hands and helping him walk down the steps and go too fast so he slips, or I "help" him out from under the TV cabinet and accidentally knock his head on it. :o

Poor kid with a klutz for a mother!

not as many as there used to be but i think these days i hurt myself more than coop does. yesterday the only one i can think of is that he fell over by tripping on a stick. many tears happened but he is right.

The way I see it is if we didn't laugh we would never stop crying, The funny things keep us going
