Hey folks,
Parliament is currently considering the Sex and Age Discrimination Legislation Amendment Bill 2010. I came across it during the course of my work and thought it was interesting.

The main points that I think you might be interested in are that the Bill would explicitly make it officially "discrimination" if a person treats another less favourably on the basis of:
1. Breastfeeding
2. Family responsibilities
I don't know much about this legislation but I think the point is to add these areas to the list of things that are explicitly identified in anti-discrimination laws.
What do people think?? Personally I think it's great - hopefully this will help women to feel comfortable breastfeeding in public/the workplace and make it easier for men and women to juggle work and family commitments!
Cheers
Biggy
P.S. some of the inquiry submisisons in the second link are quite interesting if you've got time on your hands.
