Forever - Yay for the pram arriving its so exciting to be able to start putting everything together!
Laura - I hear you on the heartburn I have been getting it for the last few months with Jack it is horrid!
Forever - Yay isent it nice though to feel them moving around in there together!
Lissy - :smiliedance: for single digits!
Sweedie - Hope that infections clears soon there is nothing worse I had 1 when I was really early in pregnancy and having to go to the loo all the time its not fun
SLP - The new baby sense one comes with both as well so you dont always have to use the pads!
Emma -Agreed with having to purchase 2 though!
AFM - Well saw good Ob last night all is well she said there is no need to do the 2hr GC test so will not being doing it :yelclap: then we had our anntenatal class last night with a tour of the ward and it was great! Found out that once bubs head has come through hubby can deliver him the rest of the way Im not too keen on that but he really wants to I suppose being a butche by trade make you non squimish! Learnt lots about contractions and when to go to the hospital and what to look for an expect the birthing suits are great well equipped and private which we love! Just a quick q has anything thought of what pain relief they are going to have they went through it all with us and I have already decided no epidural as I could not cope with that tube in my back but I was considering a morphine shot but not with all the complication she explained last night it seems like Gas is the only safe option??? Thoughts?

Micca - oh yeah i cracked the 100 days and didn't even notice. I have less than 70 to go!!
Swede - oh you poor thing with the infection. Glad it's nothing to serious though
Bonny - Don't worry about the lack of movement, you'll feel it soon enough:yes:
Petals - YAY for not having to do another GC test. The Antenatal class sounds great. We have our first one tonight, Breastfeeding. With regards to drugs, at this stage i am planning as natural as possible. I'm not keen on an Epidural or anything other than Gas really and even then i'd prefer nothing at all but let's see what happens.
Re Monitors, i'm still trying to decide which one to buy. I think it is between the Angelcare 401 and the Oricom 500. I like the idea of the movement sensor however
the unit doesn't have as many channels as the Oricom which is digital. hmmm can't decide.
We have our first Antenatal class tonight, it's the Breatfeeding one which goes for 2.5 hours. I had a shocker of a sleep last night though and was awake from around 2-4am so i feel wrecked today, not sure how i am going to get through a full day at work plus the class tonight

Hi ladies
just a quick post as I am meeting my friends today, will be back to do personals later but just wanted to let you know, that bubba finally moved again!
thanks for all your support.
I did the water thing and prodded and nothing, so I got my stethoscope to see if I could hear anything, and when I pressed it on there, bubba kicked it haha! Then nothing again all day, till the night and then back to its usual self of constant movement!
Think my baby is going to be one of those energetic little things as its constant movement (hence why I felt so worried when I didn't feel much last 2 days) must have been resting :)
Lovely - don't worry you cant feel if your placenta is at the front, the reason I can feel so much and felt it so early (14 weeks) is because my placenta is at the back and my baby is spine to spine with me. I am sure you will feel lots of movement anytime now, but I know how worrying it can be after yesterday.
The Dr had said at my 12 week u/s that being in this position I would be constantly kicked, and would be sick of it. But I couldn't wait, and then felt it at around 13-14 weeks. But she was right the baby constantly boots me. So when it was still for last couple of days I felt worried.
I have the 2 little legs at the bottom and must be the arms which I can feel towards my belly button, I can feel it squirming and turning and when it kicks hard hubby can feel it too. Sometimes when it does a huge kick you can see on my belly (but think this is only cos I have no fat on me now cos of all the puking I did).
Anyway, just happy that its back to normal now :yelclap:
so much for the short post - be back on later xxx
Morning ladies,
Pls - awsome results for the weigh in. Both over the 1kg mark now you should be proud of both LL. What lovely photo's of the bubs, bet they are really happy to get cuddles from Mum and Dad, both seems to be happy to have some contact.
Laura - how did you go with bubs did you get it moving with the sweets and cold drink?
Lissy - :highfive:single digets. Wont be long now. lol
Micca - hope you sleep better last night and the cookie monster didnt eat all the cookies. Also hoping you and your mum are taking ok again without the edge.
swede - :fingerscrossed: that uti goes away as quick as it came. glad you got checked out and all is good with bubs. Know what you mean about the feet some days mine end up like balloons. lol
slp - the classes sound good and sounds like there giving you some real good advise. im opting for the gas this time round but in the back of my mind I will be ready for the epidural block, I had one with both the boys. LOL
Bonny - how did you go with the online baby shopping. There are some sites in US which deliver for free or a minimum amount, with the $ the way it is though you will still save even with the postage.
Emma - how are the girls going with the colic, hope there sleeping better and your getting some rest. :hugs:
Petals - wow, I dont think my DH would go anywhere near the business end except cutting the cord. DH gets squirmish just looking at the needles or blood they have to take from me. Mind you he didnt worry to much about injecting me in the stomach twice a day
AFM - at work again today, think my BP is low again as im really light headed, have eaten and had some sugar but doesnt seem to be helping. Taking DS14 to have his 1st of 3 appointments for contacts today, he keeps taking off his glasses and loosing them:hair:so figured better to pay for the contacts then replace glasses every couple of months.
bonny.... re the old navy site I would recheck again...maybe it was expediated post. I bought a massive box of stuff and it cost me $50 postage... and it was fairly heavy....
laura... the movememnts will come back..dont worry... I had the same pattern as you.... I ate macdonalds the other afternoon and it was like rocket fuel to babette...she kicked solidly all night..lol...
Lissy.... enjoy your antenatal class.... Im doing a breastfeeding course in december with the australian breastfeeding association... looking forward to that.
petals... great to hear that it was all good with the OB... the morphine can make the baby a bit sleepy... but only in large doses...but it will also make you a bit out of it as well and may dull your emotional experience a bit...I would really not discount the epidural as they are pretty helpful if you have a painful stage 2 labour.
swedee..bummer about the infection but at least you know that its all ok and the infection will sort itself out very quickly.
plsjust... go team LL..!! those spoilt nurses...lol...
had a restful day today...infront of the TV most of it and feel a lot better... my mother worked today so that was a nice break as well. Just got back from Thai with my aunt and uncle..very nice although I have some niggly heartburn pain now...grr.
they all think I have popped again compared to saturday... mmmmm might have to see tomorrow morning...
My aunt said I have to stop shopping so that she can buy babette something...sigh..must be my organisational virgo in me... and also knowing that I wont be shopping for clothes probably until april next year as we have only a teeny tiny target with no stock 100km away... and I wont be able to get to the big city to shop...
anyway gotta go..... might go shopping tomorrow..lol..lol... we will see...
:laughing::laughing: still got some christmas pressies to buy...
Emma that was me who mentioned about the Angelcare sound & movement monitor. I haven't heard anything bad about it. Just that it is sensitive to fans.
Micca you are a virgo to haha I am the same. I don't have much of a list of things for people to buy & if they do of course I would prefer a certain type of something.
Mcshad glasses are so dear to, my dad always loses him but never thought to use contacts haha
Laura I have fat on my belly and can see bubba move from the outside, I get a good laugh out of it!
Lissy what is good about the Oricom? I've heard some people say some good things before. Have fun tonight!
Petals how great you don't have to do the 2 hour! I have my 1 hour on Friday, worried I am going to miserably fail haha. On pain relief I am going in with the mindset of using gas only. Pethadine shots etc I have heard bad things about and the thought of an Epi petrifies me to be honest, hearing stories of long term back pains/numbness and that it actually gets to bubs in the womb freaks me out. I guess whatever you feel comfortable with, lots of people use different types of relief. I guess it also depends on what sort of labour you end up with to.
I am so tired, stupid neighbours thought it was okay to have a party on a TUESDAY night.

Hi Girls,
I have a few thoughts on the whole epidural, I have had 2 and they were wonderful.
I had pethadine at least 12 hours before the birth to help me sleep that way it doesn't make the baby sleep or drowsy.
Having a epidural just helps you get through the whole 12 hour labour with some energy at the end to push.
You can even turn it off at the pushing stage.
It also helps you relax and i sleep through most of my labour besides the part of being checked.
Please dont discount it as they are a wonderful thing for pain relief and it is a very painful experience.
I have a midwife appt friday to get some more info on the whole gestational diabetes thing, hoping to have a natural birth.
Good luck all.
Won't be long before we are all on here talking about our labours!!!:yelclap:

morning girls,
Micca - Shop while you can i say :)
Mrs P - The oricom is digital and has many channels so there is no chance of interference. It also has lots of other features. Have a look online and compare.
Angela - I think it's a very personal decision regarding whether you chose to have an epidural or Pathedine etc. My Plan is to
try my best to avoid it and my Ob is very supportive of this approach however i am also awear that you may need some kind of intervention.
AFM - We went to our Breastfeeding class last night. It was very informative. The Midwife who ran the class has been at the hosptial for 25 years and is also a lactation consultant so knew all there was to know about boobies :)
We learnt some interesting things about attachment and how you are meant to offer the bottom part of the breat first to ensure that the nipple is sitting on the palate towards the back of the mouth, the babies take in a whole lot of boob.
Pls - Thanks for the update on LL, those nurses must be loving you guys with your 2 cakes! SO happy to hear that Lachlan reached 1kg, what a milestone! Your photos are so beautiful too, just amazing! Hope you guys are holding up well and keeping my fingers crossed you can have the bubbas home for Christmas!
Petals - I can't believe that OB wanted to send you for a second GC test!! I'm glad you got a second opinion, rather than go put yourself through a whole new test for 2 hrs when your original test came back just fine! Ridiculous!
Lissy - So great to hear your breastfeeding class went well! In our antenatal classes, they will touch on breastfeeding, but I have a seperate one coming up in January with a lactation consultant that I am looking forward to. Hope you got a better sleep last night...not easy trying to get through a pregnancy and try to function with minimal sleep.
Laura - It's always worrying when you feel there is a lull in baby's movement. I panicked the other day cos usually bub starts kicking as soon as I wake up and it didn't kick for about half an hour...I was just laying in bed panicking waiting for some movement...eventually it happened...movement was scarce that day...I guess like us, our bubbas have their lazy days too!
McShad - Hope your BP has improved today. Make sure you don't overdo anything when you're feeling weak. I know it's prob hard with 2 teens to tend to, but do your best to try and rest and not push yourself too hard.
Micca - I hope you're having a wonderful time in NZ! Don't let anyone stress you out, just let yourself be pampered and let others buy pressies for babette. I am the same as you, trying to be super organised so buying everything we need, but as a result have inadvertedly stolen my family and friends present ideas for the baby! Whoops!
Mrs P - You poor thing...who the hell has parties on a Tuesday night?!! Your lucky to see baby move from the outside. I should pay closer attention to my belly next time bubba gives me a big kick...I never look, I just put my hand there to feel it!
Angela - Thanks for your thoughts on the pain relief, it's helpful to hear other people's experiences to help form the best decision. Does having Gestational Diabetes impact the chances of you having a natural birth? Are you taking insulin shots? I have my GT test next week and so scared of the result. OB told me I may be high risk cos I have PCOS and also my dad has diabetes.
Bubba - Thinking of you, hope you guys are okay xxx
Hi to everyone else!
AFM - Re pain relief in labour, I don't like the idea of that big needle in my back either, but other women have told me that when you feel the pain of labour you will be welcoming any needle to give you some relief! My plan is to try to go natural but not ruling out an epidural. I have a high pain tolerance so I am hoping I can put up with it...but if the labour is going to be 20hrs long and I dialate slowly, then I don't want to rule out something to help me through it. My MIL made it clear that she thinks I should do it naturally just like she did with her labours, which is none of her business. I said to DH last night that I have nothing to prove, I don't want to try to be a hero or martyr just so I can say I did it all naturally...I've been through enough pain up to this point! He agrees with me. My mum went through labour with a little bit of gas, but she said to me just do whatever I think is right for me and what I'm comfortable with. Bless her! So at this point, I'll try my best to do it naturally, but if I can't stand it, then that's what modern medicine is there for!
Re the monitors, we got the Oricom and are really happy with it. It has great reviews online and was recommended by a couple of friends as well.
Started our antenatal classes on Tuesday night, didn't learn anything I didn't already know, but that's probably typical of IVF mums who have researched everything to the point of exhaustion! I'm hoping the next few classes are more in depth...also looking forward to the tour of the delivery rooms and maternity ward.

Hi ladies,
I am down the gold coast this week and loving it.
Anyway, on the pain relief, I have always said that they used to amputate legs without pain relief but wouldn't dream of doing it now, so why go through the pain of labour when you don't have to
It really is a personal thing. Some women have a high threashold of pain - I am NOT one of them. The pain fo labour for me was HORRIBLE and I ended up with the lot and then had an emergency ceasar to boot.
I am having a C section this time too and that will involve another epidural. the needle is flexible and you can't even feel it in there (of course you can't feel anything below your arm pits so that might have something to do with it).
Just be aware that if you are trying to go for a natural birth and you need pain relief, you have NOT FAILED!!! It is the most painful thing you will ever go through (hopefully) and if you need something, go for it - if you don't then all the more power to you.

Pls, What gorgeous photos. Thank you for sharing. It's great to see they are gaining weight and strength.
Petals, Yay for no more GD tests!
Monitors, We are not getting one (or two). Similar reasons to Emma & dh has put his foot down about my stressing over everything that could possibly go wrong. We are going to do the grobags which I believe reduces the risks considerably in itself.
Pain Relief, I have a pang of jealously reading about your different approaches. We are having CSection as that is just the safest option but I do feel I am missing out on the natural birth I hoped for.
McShad, take care of yourself with that low BP. that sounds scarey with the feelings of faintness.
We had our growth scan yesterday and all good. There were arms and legs going everywhere as they hate the ultrasound. Our girl is measuring 595gms and boy is 645gms. So both are small for age but to be expected apparently and no reason for concern. (although of course there is a part of me that worries). How do I bring the roll call over from the other thread? Can I quote it? Mmm will try that.

Lissy - Check out the Babysense it has the movement sensor as well as a separate sound monitor with crystal clear channels we actully tried it in the shop as we cant have a digital one as the wireless internet in our house interfears with it!
Laura - I hear you on the kicks I would not change it for the world but Jack does kick rather hard sometimes! He just kicked upwards and it really hurt but at least I know he is okay! Jack and I have a daily routine when I wake up in the morning I stay in bed flat on my back until he kicks me that way I get my 12 hourly kick and know everything is perfect!
Micca - with the morphine the midwife was saying it lowers mine and the babys heartbeat so really not keen on that!
Mrs P - Im with you I have no desire to have a tube in my back and I dont care what anyone says there is no pain in the world that would make me do that!!! I think the gas will surfice me as it pretty much knocks me onto Lala land! So I have completly ruled out an Epi and needles its just not for me!!
Angel - GL for friday!
Forever - DOnt you love those 4 little words "no reason for concern" :yelclap:
Lissy - Yay for a good class I am doing one in Jan to make sure Im fresh for Feb but my next door neighbour is a midwife that specilaised in breastfeeding and she is so lovely she said she would help me out whenever i need no matter the time!
AFM - Recovery day after a shocking nights sleep! THought I would love having Hubby away but missed him so much could not sleep urgh..........2 more nights BOO....... he has booked me in a for a facial, pedicure and massage tomorrow! Love em to bits when they are so thoughtful! :valentine:

Petals - Thanks i will def look at the baby sense, it does get good reviews. That's the only issue with doing the Antenatal classes so early, forgetting it all once bub arrives.
Sorry you had such a crappy nights sleep. I feel your pain as mine are getting worse as the weeks go on.
Forever - Glad all is good with the twins :)
Bubba - :fingerscrossed:and preying your all ok. Thinking of you.
Lissy - im not going to any classes, i did them 117 years ago(gulp) sounds like a long time, but only seems like yesterday.
Petals - hope you have a better  tonight. It doent bother me anymore when DH is away as i have down stairs alarm on. I feel safe that way.
Forever - Glad your bubbas are doing good, and growing, dont worry too much about the weight, twins tend to be a bit smaller than a singleton.
Donna - i agree, ive had 2 epidurals before but never offered the gas, this time im taking the gas and if needed I will have another epi:p
Pls - hope LL are having some good times and you and DH can give some cuddles again soon.
:flowerz: Hi to everyone else.
AFM - Not feeling crash hot so going to lie down now. Chooch seems to be stretching my tum more and more and i still have heaps of time to go, no to mention that she seems to be lower and heavier on my pelvis....:o

Hi everyone.
Sorry for worrying you all but me and the triplets are fine. We just had a horribly sad thing occur in our family that I would love to share but can't. Still very upset about it. Thank you for all the concern :hugs:
On pain relief I went through labour for 11hrs before having my c-section. I had no pain relief I just kept telling myself "this is pain for a reason". I was totally against having an epidural but when it came to having to have a c-section and being told it was better for me and the baby to not have a general I agreed. Also it allowed DP to come in with me too. I will be having an epidural this time but I am freaking out about having it done this time as I will be totally aware (not zonked out from labour). I will be asking for some happy gas before they put the needle in this time! I the end it a decision that is yours and yours alone to make!
I had my fast GD test on Monday and found out that I just passed!! Thank goodness for that.
Sorry my brain is not functioning to do personals. Will try to catch up on everyone.
Has anyone else been getting swollen feet? I have myself a set of 'princess Fiona feet' as I call them. They get so sore by the end of the day. Also my fingers are a little swollen and feel sore too :( Had my OB appointment on Tuesday and he said my BP is still perfect so my swollen feet are nothing to be alarmed about. My uterus is now measuring 48cms it has grown 8cms in 2weeks . Have my 26week scan tomorrow and can't wait to see these 3 again will make me feel much better to know they are still safe and sound.
I am off now starting to feel :barf:will try to post more often again now.

Swede - when I read your post I thought 'that sounds like exactly how I feel!' I constantly need to pee and even after I've been I still feel like I have a full bladder, very annoying especially when I'm out! I've had uti's before and it doesn't feel the same - no burning or stinging so not sure if it's just normal and bubs sitting on my bladder? I see my on next week I will ask them to double check. Haven't had any fluid or discharge either.
I was going to ask u all what u think of the baby sense monitor but then I read on and saw a few comments :-) I think that's what we will be buying as it detects movement and small changes in breathing that others ddont to the same degree. I noticed it also has a sticker on it saying it's claimable from some health funds so will have to look into that..
Hope everyone is doing well, I read about u all every day :-)
Afm: doing well, have my morph scan 2moro so excited to see bubbs again. Not finding out sex even though I'm very curious!
Hi everyone,
Sorry for not being around but I just got back from my trip on Monday and have been trying to catch up with everything including all the chatter on here. Wow there has been a lot going on.
We had a great trip but it is great to be home. We had our scan Yesterday and everything is great. We stayed strong and did not find out the flavour. Bub would not stop moving and kicking the whole time which was really cool to see. The sonographer (?) commented that bub had really big feet so I am kind of hoping it is a boy cos having big feet as a girl sucks. Bub is measuring 3 days ahead. I was so relieved to hear everything is good. Have my OB appointment tomorrow so hoping everything is fine with me. I am expecting him to tell me off for the 6kg I have put on since I last saw him.
Bubba - I am glad to hear that you and your bubs are well. Sorry to hear about your family sadness. :hugs::hugs::hugs:
I have really swollen feet too but I think that is due to the plane flight. They are slowly going down but I know how uncomfortable it is. Try and put your feet up and drink heaps of water.
Pls - Glad to hear LL are doing well. They are putting on weight nicely.:smiliedance:
Forever - Yay for the scan. It is so good to see bubs isn't it.
Sorry for not many personal but I had too much to catch up on in here that I can't remember any more. I promise I will keep up now that I am home.
Quick question. Does anyone know where the best place to get maternity bras is? I was a 18E before I got pregnant so I am assuming I am going to need to go to a specialist shop. I tried one on at bigW yesterday and the 18 is way too small. My (.)(.) are massive now. I have been managing with sports bras but seriously need some now. Any help would be much appreciated.
Lissy I will have to have a look on the net!
Lissy did they say anything to do pre baby to help with supply etc?
Forever glad to hear your growth scan was good, too many arms and legs in there lol
Petals what a lovely husband.
Bubba epi for c section is a much better option than general! I am looking forward to the pain of labour, I have been in so much pain from operations to do with IVF, at least labour pain is for something, you have a little bubba in your arms at the end of it.
bubba my hands and feet are swollen a bit to. Good luck at your next appointment hope your babies are being good inside of you lol
Hi Lovely Ladies,
Just popping in to say hi to you all :wave:and give a quick update - We had our 32 week scan today and Blobina has had a growth spurt so is a healthy little bubba. She is now 1800g (4oz). My placenta is still low lying. If it doesn't move in the next four weeks I have to have a c-section that is more complex than the norm due to blood lose etc. Going back for another scan at 36 weeks to check it all out.. move you crazy thing!
I'm sorry for the lack of personals lately (and today), have been so flat out at work with a project going in, in two weeks and then spending all our time doing reno's which are nearly done.. I need to go back and read through all of your posts to catch up :).
Friday tomorrow.. yippee! Have a great weekend all!

Speaking of water, anyone reallly thirsty??? I am drinking 3l a day at work eeeeasy.
Bubba in my head labour doesn't hurt much, mum always tells me its not that bad haha. I don't know anyone who birthed with pain relief and love hearing their stories, my friend had her baby last week with an epi and it just didn't sound the same

Sorry about that just wasn't in the right frame of mind to be reading and posting on here. :hugs:
[QUOTE= lisa007
Any help would be much appreciated.[/QUOTE]
Lisa007 what state r u in? I get my bras from a shop called DeBra's they fit the bigger chested ladies lol. I am in Sydney but google them as u can buy online as well.
Question for the ladies having twins, how often are u having scans? I had one at 19 but have no idea when
My next one will be. Also does your Ob measure u everytime u see them? I have never been measured. All he does is weight me listen on the Doppler and test my wee for proteins. Reason I ask is without being measured without scans how I am supposed to know if the reins are growing ok?

Morning girls,
How is everyone today? Glad it's friday!!
Bubba - Glad everything is good with the Triplets, sorry to hear that you have had some sad news in your family :hugs:
Zofar - Sounds like bubs is doing well, not long to go now, sending you placenta moving vibes!! When do you finish work?
Mrs P - Actually i don't recall them saying anything about being able to up your supply. It's all based on the attachment and the hormones released when baby sucks. Hormones are really amazing things (which makes out boobs amazing). I was amazed that newborns in the first 3 days only get around 2 teaspoons of colostrum before the actual milk comes in on Day 3
but that's all their little stomachs can take until they poo out all of the meconium. Mother nature is sooo cool.
Petals - Your DH is soooo lovely, my DH would never think of doing anything like that. I think he is missing that part of the brain:laughing:
Jane - So glad you had a great time in the US, re bra's, yes you may have to go to proper Bra shops as Kmart etc don't usually stock much above DD. I am a 14E at the moment and love the Hot Milk brand as they do larger sizes and are really pretty too.
Borboun - Thanks for stalking and good luck today with the morph scan :)
AFM - Another work week almost gone YAY! Tonight DH has his Father's antenatal session, will be interesting to see what he thinks of it. Tomorrow will be a very long day as we have 2 sessions from 9-5pm. Alot to take in but i am really looking forward to it. That will be it then.
Sunday i want to go to the Baby shops as one is having a sale and there are few things i want to buy, just need to decide on a damn monitor.
Lissy interesting! I have heard about lactation cookies etc, If my hormones history is anything to go off I am a bit worried I have to rely on them fo rmy boobs haha
I forgot about the fathers class, should have booked dh in
5 weeks of work left until Christmas!!!!
If I am up for it I will go to work a couple of days a week but from the payroll office which my friend works there out of her house (i used to work there) so it will be cruisy. I think I will go MENTAL in this house.
Good news on the house front, bank docs are signed and slab is MEANT to start mnonday but we have wet weather at the moment :(
On the booby front to I can sqeeze colostrum out, so weird

Mrs P - haha i know, it's amazing how our hormones just kick in when we are Pregnant and do what they are supposed to do. It's like our history has been forgotten. They say that 95% of woman can actually breast feed which i think is very high. I haven't noticed any Colostrum, not all woman see it before Birth. I find it soooo amazing that as soon as the Placenta comes out the hormones automatically kick in and start producing it!!
Zofar I just saw your post from yesterday. I hope your placenta moves mine is low and hoping it moves too
lissy I read the same thing. I know lots of when who just gave up knowing they coul have but didn't want to persevere
had my glucose drink half an hour ago. Sitting and waiting
Lissy Loo
19-11-2010, 11:48
Mrs P - I think that does seem to be the issue, each to their own really, i don't have anything against woman who don't want or can't persevere but i know that i will try my utmost to get these utters working and will everything in my power:yes:

Hello everyone
Bubba so glad to hear the triplets are all fine, you had us all worried there, sorry for the bad news, hope u r feeling better soon.
Mrs P – good luck with the glucose test, as for the thirst I am really thirsty too, especially on an evenng and night time my mouth is so dry
Lissy – wow 95% is high, that’s great reassurance, I also have had no colostrum yet. Enjoy yr classes
Jane great to see you back mate! This horrible hot weather in Perth wont be helping the swollen feet, I am hiding in the house today. Had a cool spa yesterday and bubba was kicking like crazy, it must have been the noise of the jest and the bubbles, hope I didn’t scare them! Great news about the scan, I want another one now, we are thinking of treating ourselves to a 4d scan for fun, its $200 though, but you get a 30min dvd.
Zofar – hope the placenta moves, a girl at my pregnancy swimming class was all set for a Cesar as her placenta was low and she went 2 weeks before she was due and it had moved up by 11mm or cm?? but they said that was heaps and even if it moved by 2 then it would have been ok, so fingers crossed.
Monitors - I am also undecided on a monitor, I want the oricom one with the tv monitor as I cant imagine not being able to see the baby, and having a wall between us when they are sleeping, but I also want the sensors too. There is no monitor that does both, meaning we would need to buy 2, which would be about $600 and imagine having 2 to carry around! Wish they would make one with that does everything!
Pain relief - I am also planning a natural birth, I have booked in for a water birth at the birthing centre, so there are no epi's available only gas and air and methadone injection. I am so excited about feeling the pain of labour, as someone said all the operations and poking and prodding I have had to do over the last 4 years, I will embrace the pain knowing i'm finally getting my baby. But I also would be more terrified of having a epi in my spine, but if I needed a Cesar, I would have one then, but only in emergency.
Buying on line from USA - I cant remember who it was who was saying that they ordered from Navy, but I ordered one top from Gap in US when $ was on par, it was a $20 cotton singlet and when I got to checkout they wanted to charge me $54 in postage, so that would have been 74 bucks for the little top, so I also cancelled and thought it was not worth it!
AFM well I am so hot here in Perth, I reckon it will hot 40 degrees where I am today....my DH was away last night and I had a horrible night, up and down with the dogs and could hear noises, creaking and stuff, it was so hot, I had to sleep with the windows all open and felt scared in case someone broke in. He is back tonight thank God. At least he probably had a good nights sleep and not had me tossing and turning. I have to wake up every hour or 2 to pee, its a total nightmare.
I wanted to ask if anyone knows where I can get a bassinet cover from, I have been given a bassinet but its blue and so I was wondering if I could get a plain cover for it, so its not gender specific and will match our room.........
have a great day xx

Morning Lovely ladies!
Bubba - Hope everything goes well with your appointment!
Lissy - Wow you have your anntenatal classes apart that a rather good idea really! GL with the shopping ask to have a play with the monitors.........we had a play with the Angelcare and Babysense and Babysense won hands down with no interference with me in the baby shop and hubby got right out into the car and you can imagine how many mobile phones are in a baby shop and they have wireless as well! Let us know how you go!
Mrs p :highfive: only 5 weeks left! Me too on the colustrum front! GL with the glucose test!
AFM - Just uploaded a belly shot Jack seems to be sideways out at the moment so I look even bigger than normal! and just about to head out shopping then onto my Facial :smiliedance: ect so excited then meeting some friend for dinner and still only surviving on minimal sleep Booo cant wait for hubby to be home tomorrow!:D
Lissy utters  we are cows.. unfortunately lol.
Laura that is way too hot! No idea on the bassinet cover sorry I didn't realise you could get them
Petals love hte belly photo, I will upload one when I hit 28 weeks on Sunday.
Glucose test went alright, 1 hour at least.. I would have gone mental sitting there for 2 hours. Results should be there by Monday when I see Dr so we will see how I go!

How are you Perth girls coping with the heat today! A mild 18 in Melbourne.
Petals, ohh a facial sounds lovely. I'm jealous
Laura, A water birth was always my dream so I will have to live through you :)
Lissy, Wow we are booked into the same hospital yet I only get 1 4 hour antenatal class especially for twins. I tried to book in for others but they said it would all be covered in the twins one. Gee 4 hours only to learn what to do with two little newborns. Somehow I think I am going to feel unprepared
MrsP, how exciting to see the foundations on your house happening. I hope the weather holds out for you. Will your mum move with you into the new place?
Slp, I am having scans with the ultrasound dr (head of fetal medicine) every 4 weeks and my ob every 4 weeks. So it should work out to once a fortnight if I plan my appointments right. Part of the reason is to monitor the placenta issue with have Trisomy 12 with our little man. Ob said he would be still requesting regular scans anyway due to twins.
Bubba, Good to have you back. :hugs:
AFM: My 2nd pram arrived today from the States. :yelclap: I can highly recommend countrymoosekids.com for purchasing 'strollers' from. Half the price we pay here and very very reasonable shipping. I got two prams including shipping & accessories for the price of one pram here. Took 2 weeks to ship and arrived in perfect condition. Apart from that, Indigestion back with a vengence :barf:Ob has upped me to 3 Zantac a day and Gaviscon in between. I am worried about the amount of throwing up I am doing. Want bubs to be getting what they need. Also went to chiro last night to see if she could work some magic and take some pressure off the digestive system. I am huge now (although prob not compared to bubba ;)) Still not a stretch mark in sight. :fingerscrossed:
Forever mum will move with us, she is welcome to stay with us for as long as she needs. Our house is huge and she works now so can drive herself and is out of the house 6 days a week until 8 at night so I don't feel so overprotective of her/feeling guilty about going out without her etc when she was stuck here. She will cook & clean for us lol so dh isn't complaining
Good buy on the pram! shame about the indigestion it isn't nice. Hopefully you don't get any stretchies. I've got one mini one on my left hip and 3 small ones on my right hip. Not overly phased about my hips to be honest, see what happens on my belly though

Forever - That is crazy that you can't do any of the other antenatal classes, i guess they must be very specific to Twins. Yuck on the heartburn, mine is getting worse but not tooooo bad. I'm on Mylanta when i need it at the moment.
petals - The classes are n't really that much apart. One on Wed night then the others on the Sat so all over and sone with in a few days. There was an option to do them all as evening classes but i just wanted to do most of it in a day. Only thing is that i hope i don't forget everything in the next 9 weeks. Enjoy your pamper session today :)
Laura - I'm with you, they need a Monitor that does everything. You poor things over in perth, what a scorcher and it's not even december yet:eek:
I just went to HCF to change my PHI to Family cover. DH and i are with different funds so it made better sense to move him onto mine so we could get bubs on there for free.
bubba - sorry about the family problem but glad you and babies are all ok. Thanks for re assuring us
Pls - hope all is well on the LL front and you and DH are taking some time out for each other.
Lissy - yeah you would think i would have stopped having babies at 134yrs wouldnt you.
Mrs P - my GTT test is next week. Hope it comes back with good results.
Forever - yeah, for the 2nd pram arriving. Im hearing you on the intergestion though:o, only im not throwing up too much, just little bits.
laura - :yelclap:for DH being home and :fingerscrossed: you get a better sleep tonight. My bladder has been better the last 2 nights only had to get up twice. God i hope it stays like that.
AFM - nothing happening tummy sore and stretched, hip is sore and a DH telling everyone im getting fat:laughing:, but not going to get upset about that, i really dont care as long as chooch comes out healthy. :smiliedance:Almost home time:highfive:
Lissy glad you mentioned PHI
What on earth am I meant to do re family cover. WHen I spoke to medibank last time she said to put baby on family cover after she is born
Lissy Loo
19-11-2010, 14:30
Mrs P - maybe different funds have different rules. HCF told me i needed to add the baby 2 months before so it's probably a money making scheme.
I might give them a call to double check
Okay I rung them. I need to add baby in the first 2 months after she is born.
hows this work right.
I am on top cover and currently pay after the government discount thing 142 a month, once baby is here it is 253 a month. Dh is on his own cover which is lesser than mine. If I add him to my level of cover and have all of us under family cover it is 285 a month. Works out cheaper!
hi everyone...I managed to pry my father off the computer.... he spent 15hrs on it yesterday.... So no internet time for me..
you gals can sure chat...
I visited relos today (did not really want to) as they were a 2hr drive away and I get carsick... so lunch with my uncle whom is 77yr...as you can imagine it was more my fathers visit than me :ecomcity:...and I was pretty bored... then lunch was cold cuts with cheesecake afterwards.... as you could imagine I was reallly really hungry when I got home as I all I ate was some bread and lettuce salad sigh....
after 8 days with my parents there are a few cracks.....sigh.... I told my father Im not eating enough...they dont have a lot of food in the house and I dont eat rice or pasta so end up with salad and meat most nights... my father has a borderline eating neurosis and tells me not to eat this or that all the time...so poor babette is on starvation rations.... the hardest is that I am dependant on my parents for transportation...so Im sort of locked in..sigh... I usually walk everywhere when I have visited in the past but now I can barely manage the stairs let alone the huge hill they live on... so I think Ive got parent cabin fever....sigh...
I might try and get out by myself this weekend...maybe catch the bus somewhere. And get some food..lol..lol... I miss my protein drinks... I will have to pick up some up and gos to drink...
petals............ wow great photo...Ill have to take one when I get back to aus...I cant believe I will grow that much in the next few weeks...
ooh and me too on the colustrum,..but only when I squeeze..
bubba...... glad that the 3 amigos are going strong and you aced the GD test...yay...
sorry to hear that you have had sorry news in your family.... big hug for you...
MrsP...ouch on the premium increase... I will really have to think about putting babette on private...at the moment there is no advantage to it as if anything goes wrong and she needs a paediatrician or operation it is only done in the public system only. So at the moment I dont think I can justify putting her on.
wow you are lucky about your mum moving in... and of course having the big house... lucky you... my mother is going to come over for 3-4 weeks and Ive told her that the best thing she can do for me is to cook and clean...
mcshad.,... I hear you on the aches and pains... my lower abdo killed me yesterday..but it seems better today...
forever... bummer about the vomiting...my only suggestion is protein drinks... get some protein powder from woollies.. I got the natures way one which is the best for content and have it with milk and some milkshake mix... it will give you something in your tummy without the next for release...lol.
fab on the prams arriving... yay yay lots of playtime for you..
plsjust... hope those little muchkins continue to grow well...xx
swedee...how is the giant feet going?? Hope you are coping ok with work
Jane....yay on the shopping front in USA and welcome back... not gotta love the weight gain with all that USA food...sigh... oh well bub wont be in starvation mode like my poor babette is...
laura...hope its all good
bourbon...good luck with the morph scan...
oh on the old navy thing... I think that they have a flat rate of $40 with postage at the lower end, the more you order the cheaper it is... try putting lots in your cart and the postage should not be that much...
well off to try and find some food... we are having salmon and chips tonight but it wont be until 7pm at least....
missing home and my bed... 2 weeks is a long time with parents away from home... Ive got 7 days left..sigh... I just want a good night sleep and some time alone..,mmmmm will work on that this week.
sorry to vent a bit....just feeling homesick and that I need my own space...its hard when you live alone then suddenly have older parents (66yrs) whom are with you 24/7 and virtually follow you around argueing and telling you what to do and think all the time...sigh.
hoping Ill get some internet time sat morning.
love you all
I apologise to those I missed...
Micca - Hang in there babe. Parent/cabin fever would suck. Good idea about getting out on your own on the bus. Maybe you should go to a restaurant and have a 5 course lunch to get bubs and you some food.
Lissy - also glad you mentioned PHI. DH and I are also on diff funds so might get that arranged now.
Laura - I am inside too. Wayyyyy to hot out there today. Might go visit mum and her pool tomorrow!!!!!!
Forever - I am so jealous about you not having and Stretch marks. I had some anyway but they are getting bigger and redder by the day. I don't think I will ever be a bikini wearer but still not loving it. I am trying to lather up everyday but not sure it is going to make much diff now.
Petals - Cute pic. I must take another one today. Have been taking one everyweek and am 22 weeks today so time for a new one.
AFM - Had my OB appt today. All is well. BP is perfect and he said bub is growing nicely. He didn't measure me. I am wondering if that is cos I am a big girl and it would not be accurate???? Turns out I have only put on 1kg since I last saw him at 12 weeks so I am so happy with that. Especially since I had 6 weeks in the US!!!!!!
Hope everyone has a great weekend. I am catching up with friends and family as we have not seen them for ages cos of the trip so we will be busy.
Oh I just have to say I have the best dad ever. I bought a 2nd hand Mountain buggy Urban pram off Ebay while I was away and when Dad picked it up he was not happy with the condition of it so he has been fixing it up. It looks band new now and I only paid $100 bucks for it. SCORE!!!!!!!!

Mrs P - Family cover is always better value than single parent because they basically don't charge for the dependants when you are on Family but they do when on single parent. It was cheaper for us to move DH from his fund to mine. He currently pays $90 a month and by moving him to mine and on Family cover it is an extra $60 a month so obviously a better option.
Micca - Sorry you are feeling home sick, i don't blame you though as it would be quite isolating and especially when you are starving hungry and can't get out for food. I'd be asking your folks to drive you to the Supermarket so you can stock up for the next week. I bet you will be glad when you finally get home next week. xx
Almost home time YAY!!

 My head hurts. I have just spent 40 mins on phone with centrelink re paid parental leave and baby bonus. They don't make it easy. Someone here mentioned that if your due date is after 1st Jan but you go earlier then you are still entitled to PPL. Not according to the person I just spoke to. She said you would only be entitled to baby bonus.
Another twin mummy in here said that you are better off with 2 baby bonuses instead of PPL. Again, not according to centrelink who worked out we would be $1500 better off with PPL. It is all so confusing particularly when we are getting told conflicting info. So I went online to apply and have given up after 20 mins. They may as well ask my bra size and what I like for breakfast. Will do it on the weekend when I have more time.
Oh and we are also with HCF and had to change cover 2 months prior to birth. Such as farce particularly when you need to account for potential early delivery so I had to make sure we were covered from 24 weeks. Money making vultures.
Ok I best go now and take a :chillpill: pill.
Forever I would ring and talk to someone else. I spoke to someone at the FAO and she was very helpful and assured me
that if I can prove baby was due after 1st Jan I'd still be entitled. I don't see how ppl is better than 2 lots of baby bonus!

Geez you guys can chat, Ive only missed a day or two but had to go back to the old thread to catch up...
laura - yay that bubs is back to moving around again, my little girl is still a silent mouse. Hasnt it been a scorcher today in Perth, it near killed me!!
Mcshad - do you know the names of those US websites that do free shipping?
bubba - hey sooo good to hear you and the 3 amigos are ok. Sorry to hear that you have had some sad news :hugs:
jane - welcome back! Great news on the scan! Isnt it great seeing them move around and kick up a storm on screen.
zofar - Cant believe you only have 7 wks to go, not long at all. Fingers crossed that the placenta will do the right thing by you and move up!
Mrs P - Yay for the house getting started! We built last year and the waiting sucks big time. Once you start to see it happen, it seems to fly up, especially the brickwork. No colostrum for me yet.
Forever - sorry you are feeling unwell and chucky with the indigestion. Must be awful. So far so good for me in that regard, but Ive got a long way to go yet.
micca - sorry you are feeling a little homesick, I can imagine all you want is your own bed. Nothing like your own pillow and bed huh. I never sleep well anywhere else. Sounds like you have bought up hugely!!! Good work.
petals - re pain relief. Im a bit of a whoosie when it comes to pain, but would love love love to go natural if I can. Im not sure if I can have an epi yet anyway due to a past spinal injury, I am seeing the anaesthetist in the 3rd tri to discuss options to even see if Im capable of getting one. So the thought of an epi in an already stuffed back is scary. Im petrified of doing more damage.
Sorry to all I have missed, so much to catch up on.
afm - was a stinker here today, it was hard enough dealing with the heat at 22wks and Im dreading what it will be like when Im bigger and more uncomfortable, through Jan and Feb when it will probably be over 40c. eeek. Nothing else to report on, which is always a grand thing :D
hi everyone.
bonny... Im not looking forward to the heat as well, I hope you have aircon...!!! Im finding it hard with the 22degrees here although auckland had 27 the other day and that was just so tiring...
forever.... I hope you can sort it out...remember PPL is only great if you plan to be off work for the entire 18 weeks. which if you are then it is probably better for you..
Jane.... yay for your great dad fixing up the pram... and what a bargin... now you just get to buy all the fun stuff for it...lol..
plsjust...hope you are going ok with LL
swedee....any weddings this weekend you have to work at??
well I have a glorious 2 hrs to myself...and the internet..yay
parents at gym or playing golf...just to have silience without someone playing 20 questions is a relief. they mean well but for someone whom is used to being her own boss its really hard on the tolerance factor.
had a crappy nights sleep again and I have a wicked headache..between peeing every 2hrs and a flat pillow and being hot and humid its not great...sigh...Im just a cold weather chick at heart... give me my nice crisp nights lol...lol..
nothing planned for today except a trip to the supermarket...lol.
Babette was quiet yesterday and last night but was having a nice squirm this morning in bed..she has become the acrobat and will do flips and rolls and swaps position regularily...goodness knows what she will be like in a few weeks when the room runs out..lol.
anyway off to have a decaff coffee
I just went and played on the old navy site...
I put 11 items in the cart..$213 worth and the postage was $67aus which is not to bad as it still makes everything pretty cheap... I think they work it out on a % of $cart rather than weight and destination..

MRs P - Im sure you GT test will be okay!
Forever - Ya for no stretch marks! I got ym first pregnancy one yesterday I only noticed it this morning BOO
Lissy - I know what you mean with the servere pregnancy brain I have I am likely to remember non of it by the time it comes to labour!
Micca - You need to eat correctly especially at this stage I would just ask to be dropped at the shops and get some of your own food happening! I hear you on the older parents though It was hell having hubbies parents here for a week as they are older! Never ever will be done again! Thanks for the Old Navy site just spent a small fortune on Maternity clothes they ahve some great stuff and its SO CHEAP!
Forever - As MRs P said ring the family assitance line as the lady I spoke to there to was so lovely and walked me through the whole process if you get a difficult one I would just hang up and call later!
Pls - Hope L&L are going well saw the new pics they are amazing, looks like they are getting stronger!
AFM - :smiliedance:Hubby comes home today it was terrible how much I missed him, facial ect was lovely yesterday even though Jack decided it was time for his afternoon jumping session! :p my beauty therapist was telling me how easy labour was YAY so nice to hear a good story for a change her labour was 32 hours and she did it with nothing but Gas!
Belly is a little smaller today as Jack as resumed his normal possy instead of laying horizontal!
Bonny I am not looking forward to the heat :( maybe just live in shopping centers haha they are always sooo cool
Micca did you buy it all?
Petals I never realised bellys change size until mine was fluctuating lol. Glad you enjoyed your pampering and what a great story to hear, my mum said it isn't that bad. She gave birth to all of us with nothing. She gave birth to me by herself in the hospital under the sheet they didn't believe she was in labour!
Off to the coast today to have lunch with my daddy

Yahhh its saturday & things on our end are looking up finally.Weve had a rough week with ups & downs. Lachlan ended up being re-ventilated through his nose & getting another central line put in which knocked him around alot on thursday after lily's big day of re-ventilated on wed & going down hill really quickly. So we can NOW see the light at the end of the tunnel & things are looking better.Their infection levels are coming down, lachlan finally back on feeds twice a day.Lily not on any feeds yet as shes still got blood being sucked out of her belly. Then as for me on wed spent the day in emergency as my ceasar scar is infected & overnight started oozing green muck (sorry for TMI) so couldnt get into my GP so ended up in emergency & now on 2 lots of anti-biotics & its now finally getting better & not oozing as much.NICU is watching & waiting for the results cause maybe the bubs have given it to me or vica versa while doing their cares etc... so i have to be gloved up to do their cares for a little while, which sucks, & because im fighting off a infection my milk seems to have dropped as well, feel so like chucking expressing in but will keep plodding on they need it but im positive that they will be bottle fed eventually as im not getting way enough.Hoping come monday they are both well enough for cuddles & weigh in,theyve both missed 2 days of weigh ins this week so will be interesting to see where there at although after our rough week probably not much gained.
Older kids also arrived here on last wednesday on the midst of us all falling apart,so have been a good distraction at keeping my mind busy sort of but am very tired too.
Cant believe were at a new thread again LOL  Well sorry for no personals,i read back but so brain dead to retain it all & reply to each & everyone.Much easier when i reply numerous times a day  must run & express.... kids want to go to the barra fishing farm just so they have photos of them catching a HUGE fish lol then will go to hospital later this arvo or tonight with hubby.
plsjust...wow you have certainly had a realy rough week with LL.... so glad that you are sounding positive, lets hope that they did not loose too much weight....
bummer about the infection in the scar thats got to be a real pain. so glad that the antibiotics are sorting it. And yay for the calvary arriving... I hope you have them on house cleaning and pool cleaning duties..
Hang in there with the breast milk, it comes back really quickly you can do it.
I hope you can begin to destress and relax a bit now that LL is progressing.
big hugs..xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
MrsP... my tummy changes in size with the day... bigger in the arvo and night...lol..
petals.... sounds like you are going to have a great saturday with hubby home.
Old navy is my favourite site..did you buy any baby clothes?? I am being strong on that...well for now anyway,
I got some weetbix up n gos today so that should help fill the gaps....
my parents have a very limited menu....toast with honey or vegemite, cereal, banana or kiwifruit.. and thats about it 24/7 although my mother made a toasted sandwich for me today..no idea where she found the ingredients...but it was yummy.
they freeze all left overs immediately so none for lunch...sigh.But Im on a mission now even if it is toasted sandwiches...although will need cheese...lol.
well I went to the local shopping centre and baby shop with my mother...I made a vow to buy nothing more...lol.. it was good at the shopping centre..managed to avoid purchases even with 25% off..MrsP you would be proud,
But then went to my favourite baby shop and the 100% merino wool baby suits, pants, mittens were all 50% off.... ok well that just cracked me..... I mean how can I not right....when a suit was only $10 compared to the $40 in auz... so I bought about 6 suits in sizes 000-0 and little long johns...sigh...and of course another pair of cotton bottoms, and some baby tights.. I know I would kick myself if I did not... and living in the cold we get snow anytime from march - december ,thats my excuse anyway...lol..lol..
I tell you what....those of you living in the more temperate climates get off easy for clothes....as poor babette will have 2 light layers and then a jumper and a snowsuit to go outside... and will still be quite bundled up inside...lol..lol...
So Im now in the be good mode...although My mother is taking me to this HUGE new shopping centre about 40 mins away on monday I hope I can stay strong...lol, concentrating on chrissie pressies... lol.....
anyway time for dinnner....

Hey ladies, happy Saturday. Bit cooler here in Perth today, but more humid thats for sure.
Pls - what a rough week you have had, with LL and your hospital stay with infection. Must have been painful, so hopefully the antibiotics are very quick working. Have fun at the barra farm :D
micca - my goodness you must have bought up NZ by now, I don't blame you with sale prices like that.
mrsP - hope you had a nice lunch with your dad.
petals - how awesome to hear a good labour story. Gets a bit annoying at times when all I hear is women giving their nightmare horror birth stories. Tbh, I cant wait...the miracle of bringing a human being to life hey.
afm - Right thats it, Im gnna check out the oldnavy website again and take your advice...fill my cart as much as I can, and hope the delivery fee is the same as a small art. At least then it works out cheaper overall. maybe I can blame you ladies when my DH see's a huge crate being delivered!! My only fear is ordering maternity gear and it being the wrong size, then the hassle of shipping it back with delivery fee's etc.

Hi Girls,
Pls - Wow you have had a big week, sorry about the infection. Hope it clears up soon. Twins sound like they are doing great thought which is awesome news.
Petals - It is so great to hear good labour stories. Enjoy having DH back.
Micca - Hope your starving today?
Bonny - YAY for shopping online :)
AFM - We had a full day of antenatal classes today. They were good but to be honest i didn't feel like we learnt anything new, it was all stuff we know already. Anyway glad we went but could still get through all of this without it i wreckon.
Lissy at least you know you did it and that you know everything is awesome!
Micca I am sooo proud of you! What a great buy on the suits, how can you not pass that up
Pls your tummy sounds so painful! Same thing happend to my friend, it isn't nice
Well I think I made the biggest purchase today..... I bought a brand new CAR!!!!!!!!! I currently have a ve hsv clubsport/fuel guzzler and bought a subaru outback in diesel. A little bit excited

Hi Girls,
haven't posted for a while, it's been kind of busy with a few girlfriends giving birth lately (lots of little same age friends for our boy!
PLS - WOW... congrats on the birth of your twins. I'm sorry you are having such a rough ride. you are in our prayers.
Hope everyone else is doing well. I had to do the two hour glucose test and I'm currently sweating on the results!
I see there's been some monitor conversation.
I wanted to mention a device that I've heard about that is good for multiples sharing cots (because other monitors will pick up the movement of the other bub/s) or bubs who might get moved around a lot (we're doing a road trip at about 3 months).
They are called Respisense. They clip to the front of the nappy and detect the belly moving in and out. No movement for a given time and it vibrates to "startle" the bub back into breathing. A few seconds more with no movement and it sends off a piercing alarm.
Anyone heard anthing good or bad about these elsewhere? it sounds perfect for us, an electric monitor is no good in the car or caravan! I've scanned over some convo's fairly quickly so sorry if someone has already mentioned them!

Petals - It's crazy huh!!
Mrs P - YAY for the brand new Car, that is exciting.
Shopping day for us today. We are heading to 2 baby shops so i can compare some prices. I think i have decided on getting the babysense monitor and i am sure i saw it at the baby shop where we bought all out furniture, we have a $60 voucher so hopefully they do have it so i can put the voucher towards it. Other things i am looking at getting are: Gimmo light (on sale), sheets, matress protector for Bass and cot, Groegg (on sale), Sophie (on sale) we are then going to head to a craft market :)
have a good Sunday girls:sunshine:
Petals my clubsport uses premium fuel so even when Unleaded is at its cheapest I still pay more than diesel!
Lissy have fun shopping today!!
I let dh sleep in our bed last night, first time since transfer. He must have had a bad dream he was wimpering lol.

MrsP - you lucky thing....a new car......:highfive:..I love the outbacks...great looking car!!!!!
Micca- temptation hey...seriously...how hard is to walk past cute baby clothes and not buy them?????
I love the up and go's...I drink one everyday...feels like a treat but got goodness in them as well...not to much sugar compared to a chocolate drink etc....They are a prefect snack....
lissy - all the best with your shopping today...I wish I could drag my hubby out for shopping...but he hates it with a passion...I think he is allergic to shopping centres....
Misslink - hope your test comes back good....
Pls - oh...infections doesn't sound nice at all...hope it clears up soon for you.....Lots of hugs to your little ones....:hugs:
32 weeks yesterday.....took a photo but left it at work..will add it tomorrow or so....
Weighed my self as well and since last pic (at 28 weeks) I have lost a 1 kg...so I gained 9kg in total...feels a bit odd (that I lost weight) and my tummy feels massive at the moment....eating well and so on...I think I had grow spurt earlier in the week as my tummy was so freaking itchy it was driving my nuts for a couple of days...but it is fine now...
Two weeks until baby shower...so exciting...and my mum is coming back from Sweden tomorrow and my grandma hinted that there is a lot of pressies from everyone!!!!!!! whoooooo....
I had my usual morning walk with my dog this morning and there was a red belly black snake on the track..I surely do not want to be bitten while pregnant..need to be a bit more observant from now on I think....and of course my dog is a big target for them...hubby told me to avoid the bush track...i just love walking in the bush.....
Now it is time ot go out and enjoy the nice sun........good times.....
hi everyone..
well a quiet day today at home with the folks went out for lunch which was ok... but the folks enjoyed it.
Then this evening I had some bright red blood when I wiped... OMG... WTF!!! its not huge but enough to get me concerned... thank god I have the doppler with me and babettes heartrate is all happy and shes squriming around ..although she has been quieter today....
all I can think is duck duck duck nothing is easy.... I have decided to wait until tomorrow to go to the emergency department of the hospital to get checked out as babette is happy, and Im not particually fond of the hospital... my grandfather died there a few years ago from negligence and is an ongoing coroners care. the hospital has a really bad reputation.
I have been trying to think about what is causing it...such a pain that I am not at home as it is easy then but at least a night of rest I will be seen failry quickly in the ED...
but cant think of any causes... some braxton hicks yesterday/this am but nothing else feeling tired.. the only solution I can come up with is maybe a huge growth spurt with placental edge bleed or irritation...no idea..
My poor mother is a very anxious person and she is very distressed....they have gone to get dinner so I hope she will be ok...
But all I can think of is WHY ME!!...I wish it could have waited until I was in aus....sigh..... Im sure it will be all ok tomorrow and they will find no cause but tell me to go on bedrest...sigh...
maybe I have just been too active?? I guess I will never know...
anyway Ill keep you updated.

Micca - I hope everything is OK for you and babette.
Hopefully after a night of rest and quick check in the morning you will be given the all clear. Take care and let us know how you go.
Micca where was your placenta last time it was checked? When the placenta is low it can cause bleeding. Hope its nothing
Swedeendie 32 weeks woowwww! Good job on the weight gain, I am still sitting at 15 kilo gain. OHHH MY on the snake!!!! Snakes freak me the **** out and the most two common snakes around here happen to be deadly

Micca - I would be heading straight to the hospital immediatly if it was me, in our anntenatal classes that was one thing we were talking about and the midwife said that Blood is never an overreaction of a mum to be and you should seek medical attention straight away! Im no expert and Im sure everything is completly fine but it could be a number of things and does your doppler give babbette heart rate? as you mentioned she has been a little less active?? We have all come this far so a quick trip in to the hospital to get the all the clear would be what I would be doing :hugs: its so hard not being at home! Take it easy and let us know how you go!!
Micca, I am with Petals, I would be going to get checked out tonight. It may be nothing to worry about but better to know for sure as soon as possible. I'm sure you would have thoroughly checked, but could the blood be from somewhere else? Sounds strange I know, but I had a small tear at the back which caused a bit of blood when I wiped and I nearly had a heart attack until I checked everything out thoroughly :hugs:.

Micca - I'm with the girls, i'd be going down to the hospital to get checked out, you won't be able to sleep tonight not knowing. take care hun xx
Swede - 8 weeks to go yay! I'm 31 today :) ohhh watch out for those nasty snakes ewwww
big day out and about, went to the market, got a cute little bib and a Pram liner for the bugaboo then went to Baby Bunting and got a Sophie teether, Gimmo night light, Little Bamboo hooded towel, huge muslin wraps, flannels and a Matress Protector for the Cot and Bassinet. They had the Babysense monitor there but i still couldn't decide. There is a site bubsngrubs that sells them cheaper anyway so i think i will buy from there if i decide. I have quite a burnt neck oops!
thanks for all the support gals
the bleeding has only been just there and Ive had none the last few hours.
babettes HB is 140 which is perfect for her and she has been moving like crazy this evening. Ive had no contractions or symptoms and feel fine. and my cervix is closed.
my placenta is funal/posterior so no praevia.
I wonder if it is coming from the cervix as I have a cervical polyp..and the cervix becomes very irritated at this point of the pregnancy.
if there was any serious problems like preterm labour I would have contractions abdocramps, heavy bleeding, babettes HB would be decreased with distress and no movements...
But I do need to be checked out cause I sure as hell dont want a premmie in NZ.
Im pretty worried but not hysterical.. my parents are a little freaked.
Because it has settled and the baby is ok Ill go to the emergency and get an uss and the obs doctor to check everything first thing monday morning there is no uss at the moment after hours anyway so they would not be able to give me a comprehensive one until monday anyway.
To be truefull I do have a background in medicine so at least I can work though it and deduce that it can wait overnight and it will probably be an unexplained bleed.
but no more shopping for me and probably on bed rest for a few days.... I really just want to go home now... but some pampering by my mother will be good for me.
I also have to sort out work next week...Ive got a 12hr shift on monday so Im not particually keen on that at the moment. But at least I can ring my OB at anytime and he can help me at least.
Ill keep you posted... Im mainly just peeved at the moment as this pregnancy has been pretty good with no problems since 9 weeks when I had a subchorionic haematoma (resolved by 12weeks)
which for a working single gal has been a blessing....sigh.
I feel a little cursed as when my mother visited to help out with IVF #2 she had a large retinal bleed in her eye and lost the vision in it and we ended up visiting the hospital the day before my ER...and its just coming right now .
so we just cant win this year.
fingers crossed I probably wont get any internet time until tomorrow afternoon...so Ill let you know...
xxxxxxxxxxxx
lissy.... good buying... I bought my video monitor and portacot online from bubsngrubs and they were really good..and the cheapest around.
sweede........yuk on the snake...we have heaps at home mainly alpine copperheads, tigers and browns. There are usually 2-3 snakebites a year. Im very careful on the bush tracks but have had my share slither across the track infront of me...
mrsP .........enjoy your new car.
plsjust... hope things are going well....weigh day tomorrow...fingers crossed.

She said you would only be entitled to baby bonus. .
Forever Centrelink lady is correct you can only get the PPL if you have yor bubs after Jan 1
Will do it on the weekend when I have more time.
you are better off with the two baby bonus as the PPL is taxed so you end up with about an extra $250 in the pocket with the baby bonus
I am going to ring again and ask about that baby being born before Jan 1 business. Don't like when people tell me one thing when they don't know their facts!

Micca take care of yourself and babette and go and get checked!! It is not worth the risk. Hope all is well big :hugs::hugs::hugs: to you.
Micca - I will be thinking of you. Hope everything is ok.
AFM - Had a great weekend catching up with everyone after our trip. They all commented on how big my belly is now. Loving it.
Back to work on tuesday for me. I am just doing temping at my old work but looking forward to it.
Also I went to a few baby shops with mum yesterday and found it all a bit overwhelming. There is just so much stuff to get and too many choices. I have scored a massive bargain. A friend of mine has a friend who is selling her Boori Classic cot for $200 in great condition. So happy. I saves me trying to choose one and also saves me about $700 cos it comes with a matress.
Micca, good luck today! I hope you were able to get a good sleep in last night.
MrsP, I'm going to ring up Centrelink too. I noticed that you got a few different answers from Medibank regarding registering your bubs. I've asked three people now and at least they all said that I can only register bubs after she is born. One said within two weeks, another within a month and the other within two months. So I think as long as we register within 2 weeks we'll be fine :)
Jane, Well done on scoring the cot! That surely is a big savings.
Sweede, congrats on being 32 weeks, the next few months will fly!
Have a lovely week ladies... 20 days of work left for me with lots of xmas parties in there.. yippeee!!!
Zofar safest bet is to do it within 2 weeks probably. When I rung medibank they put me through someone in 'that section'. I will still ask them when I go in this week to put in a claim. 20 days, thats nooothing!
I've got 5 working weeks so thats 25 days (man my maths is good :P)
Jane great buy on the cot, it is all overwhelming, find some lists on the internet, make a list of what you want then go in and have a look around. Picking my cot was the hardest decision haha.
I love hearing comments about my belly to. People kepe saying how much I am going to hate being pregnant in summer, I don't care :D
Off to work, hopefully pick my car up today and off to see the ob and little miss. MOVE UP PLACENTA PRETTY PLEASE

Wow cant believe everyones dates are getting so close now... yippeee so we can have more bubbas being born & me not the only one lol.Yesterday Dh had a lovely first cuddle with Lily. They were so awake/alert yesterday its great.Lachlan loves his big sis when ever she talks he looks rnd for her voice & where she is.Lily getting weighed today, lachlan was 1059g so gained 24g even though he had a rough week so will be interesting to see what lily weighs today too hopefully a gain even if a minute amount.Only have 2 full days left with the munchkins before they go home :( but then mum arrives the next day for another 4 days so will be good.Soooo hoping lily & lachlan have a good week this week with no hiccups.....:fingerscrossed: My scar is healing nicely again, although was a little painful yesterday(swelling above it that is) but think im doing a awful lot too so maybe agrevated a bit plus been wearing my demin shorts & 3/4 pants so probably rubbing a bit too being not soft material.

Regarding the baby bonus / PPL the hospital Dr's told me long as if your due date is past the 1st Jan & if you have bubs early the dr's just have to sign a form declaring you were due after Jan.It didnt apply to us as we just went for the baby bonus but the nurses asked if we were applying for it & they sort out all the paperwork before you leave hospital.Dont know if that helps but thats what they told us when we were in there.

I just hung some sheets out on the line because it is going to be 32 today. The Line is sooo dirty yuck, haven't used it in ages because it hurts my neck to reach up. I need to get a smaller portable one for the babies clothes anbd the nappies i think to make it easier.

I need HELP! This is non baby related so please feel free to skip it!
As you read in the past I have issue with my neighbour across the road! She has been quiet for a few days then this morning she comes over and says her dog is sick so I said do you want our vets number? she asked where it was and I told about 20 mins from us she then proceeds to explain that she cant drive there today (god only knows why) I said well they do house calls and I also gave her the number for Animal Emergency just incase its pouring here and as you know I am sick so I said look I am not well today so Im not going out in the rain she then proceeds to completly ignore what I said and kept saying I dont know what Im going to do ect ect finally she got the hint and left........then I had to run out to the Post office and when I got home she comes over straight away (barely out of the car) and starts on about how he is not well and really needs to see the vet ect I got so cranky and said well take him to the vet then if you cant look after the dog dont have any......and walked away.......she went home and has been over again since I have no idea what to do with her she really does not listen to anything we say Hubby told her to back off and she does not listen any ideas ladies Im currently hiding up the other end of the house away from office so she cant see me I have never encountered anyone like this in my life and Im at a loss of what to do??

Omg petals she sounds like a psycho from single white female! That would shock me having a neighbor like her. Doesn't she have family or friends that can help her? I can't believe u have told her to back off and she still does it. Definitely dont give in to her or she'll keep it up. If it gets worse threaten a restraining order! Good luck x

She appears to have gone home again now and I back in the office working so we will see what happens! :fingerscrossed: she has got the hint! I have just never had to deal with anyone like this in my life!
Also i put the dogs out the fron no-one is game enough to come in the yard with 3 staffys barking at them :) and ill just pretend I am deaf!
ok well I posted a long reply but I lost it due to internal internet issues....aaahhhh
petals.... your neighbour is truelly nuts...bonkers ...mentally ill...probably biplolar... keep those dogs in the front and talk restraining orders if she does not stop harrassing you...remember your emotional health is the most important
plsjust.... fabulous on lily and lachlan, so glad lachlan has gained some weight thats a good sign.
swedee...hope your day of nanna naps has made you feel better
MrsP/zofar...wow not long to work now...so jealous.....can you say FEB.. cause thats when Im planning to stop....
Lissy.... no idea what a gimmo frog is but Im gunna have a look
well Im back from my epic day..9hrs in the emergency/maternity departments and not because they were busy just inefficient and slack.
After numerous tests... blood, swabs, uss, CTG babette is perfect and growing well and weighing a lovely 1kg. They found absolutely no cause for the bleed and I have not had any since last night.... my cervix was lovely and long and placenta good...
So basically the obstitrician said take it easy, unexplained bleeding but everything is ok..... so a huge relief.
My mother got to see babette on uss so she was happy.
Anyway my remaining days on holiday will probably involve TV, nana naps and movies... shopping probably not...sigh.
Ive still got to decide about working my 12hr emergency shift next week...but I will talk to my OB tomorrow about it and see what he thinks...
So Im exhausted after such a long day and poor sleep full of worry and nightmares last night. But at least it has a happy ending and hopefully babette lamoor will not be naughty until shes 2...lol..lol..

Micca so glad to hear all is well with babette:smiliedance: Our Lachlan is weighing 943g, Cooper is 1040g and Lily is 1027g according to our scan on Friday!! So the same size as babette!!
Hi to everyone  Sorry no more personals feet (well they used to be feet) are so swollen and sore I am going to go and soak them.
Micca I am so relieved. Glad to hear everything is ok and bonus that your mum got to see her.
Petals. Crazy neighbour from hell. You poor thing.I hope she doesn't come over anymore.
Bubba - Yo poor thing with the swolen feet. mine are not too bad but at night they ache a bit if I do too much
Lissy - My sis had a similar one. Called a bumbo. They are great. I plan to get one.
Mcshad - I have the best airer. I got it from bunnings. I use it year round. Our line is in a dumb spot so I use the airer for most things.
I think I am begining to nest already. I have been like a mad woman spring cleaning today. I still can't get into what will be the nursery but I have been doing the rest of the house. It was so dusty from being empty for 7 weeks. Think I need a nap now though!
Jane I did a big spring clean last week. It takes it out of you so bad
Bubba rest those feet up!
Micca so glad everything was okay. We had sesxytime last night and I had the teeniest little bit of blood when I wiped. Not sure if it came from in there or from the outside from scratching (I have psoriasis and can get itchy down there TMI sorry :P)
Petals OMG SHE IS A FREAK!!!! She needs to BACK THE **** OFF
mcshad how on earth did you manage 3am! I am struggling past 10pm
Petals the lady actually said its not normal but they treat it case by case and if a doctor can prove your baby SHOULD have been born after 1st Jan then they will process it. When I get a moment I will ring again. Hope you are not getting sick, I saw my bro this avo and he is really sick and now I'm worried :(
Swedeendie get some good sleep in, its starting to hit bad I've noticed, can't have one late night and not pay for it
Pls I got my car today and LOOVE IT, the clubby is a great car but this is soo perfect, such a family car and SO comfy. How cute lachlan responds to lilys voice, they are going to be best friends. Glad your scar is getting better, its the last thing you need right now!
SOOO I got my car today and I am in absolute LOVE with it. I can't wait to have baby in the back seat lol.
Our block was scarped today to so double awesome
Saw ob today and he did a growth scan of bubba and everything looks perfect, triple awesome!!
I don't have any of the 'proper' growth scans with the scan places unless he thinks I need it but he said baby looks perfect. He measured her and said she is little weighing in at 2pound 9 ounces.

Petals- she possibly lonely through the day & thinks she made a friend in you & can hang out every day & possibly using the dog as a good excuse maybe?? Hopefully she takes the blunt hint very quickly...
Micca- PHEw so relieved, thought my gosh the last thing you need is a premmie in NZ !!! Pls rest up till you get home.... im scared what happened to me is happening to you... mine started off as a unexplained bleed too.
MrsP- ahhh new car smell.... i cant wait to get our car seats in too but with all our visitors & the only car that takes more then 3 it has to wait a while yet.
Bubba-I saw ur feet the other night & OMG !!!!!
Well we have some good news so far this week....Lachlan was re-weighed again today & is 1131g a gain of 72g in 3 days.Lily is now.... a whopping 1262g a gain of 122g in 1 week, which considering the yucko week its a great gain still. So Dr's are looking at getting them off the ventilators & back onto the Cpap in the next few days if they continue to do well & infection levels stay very low.2 good days done (tick) YIPPEEEE:smiliedance: I even got mummy cuddles of lily again today :D So once lily gets a lil bigger its gonna be bath time !!!!
Pls that is so great! What awesome weight gains
I found the print out my ob gave me from the scan. bubby girl is weighing 1170g +/- 175g she is in the 40th percentile (no idea what that means) he said she is little, my vagina was relieved to hear that
PLACENTA IS NOT NEAR MY CERVIX BOOOYAH!!!

Jane - Well done on the cleaning I think I missed that stage! I am lucky enough to have a cleaner so maybe I am nesting through her
Mrs P - Such an exciting week for you! Yay for the new and good growth news!
Pls - That is the best new so glad the twins are doing well! Dont get me wrong about our neighbour I would like to think Im rather friendly but she never wants to talk or anything like that she always just needs something weather it driving her somewhere or asking for coffee or sugar ect and again Happy to help if someone is in desperate need but for crying out lour she has a perfectly good Mazda MX9 sitting in the driveway!
Anyhoo the dogs out the front are working a treat as she wont come into the yard! :yelclap:only 2 more sleeps then Im away for a week anyway!:smiliedance:

Thankfully I got a hubby who is very assertive and don't mind to tell people to furrk off....
I hope it will be better today for you...it just crazy that you don't want to sit in your own office for some peace and quite from the neighbors...
Slept really well last night..thank goodness..just up for the 5 times a night pees....:D

Morning,
Bubba - Your poor Fiona feet!!
Jane - I was looking at the bumbo and almost bought one on sale but the Bebe Pod has a little harness and seems a little better IMO, bumbo has a better colour range though.
Mrs P - YAY for the Car, YAY for the Placenta, YAY for the Block. It's happening in Mrs P world :)
Pls - Fantastic news about the twins, they are going great guns:yelclap:
Petals - Hope that neighbour will stay away today.
Swede - YAY for the nice sleep, i had a crappy one boo hoo
AFM - Bit sleepy today, didn't sleep the best, what can ya do!!
Question, have you girls started reading books on early parenting? I'm just wondering because i've just started thinking i need to get prepared
for after bub arrives rather than before.

:flowerz:Morning lovelies.... tuesday is upon us. Time is flying, must be cause ive got so much to do in one 24hr period its not funny plus then i look at all the things i want to do,like weeding n stuff & just gotta make time.... somehow:rolleyes: thought i might try get some done today & hopefully can coax the kids into helping & making it bit quicker. Its viney stuff so once you grab a handful it all just gives way so its a easy job & that way i wont have god dam bushes & trees of the stuff once the rains fully hit.Tomoz is a houseclean day & washing all the bedding after the kids jump on their 11am flight home, then have it cleaned to some extent for mum to arrive thursday morn.
Lissy- youve reminded me someone suggested a premmie book to read & id forgotten so will now look that up on our library site & see if they have it.
MrsP- yahhh for new car & the block getting ready & even better the placenta not near your cervix, fantastic news.
Petals- Yipppee a week away.Glad the dogs are warding off your annoying neighbour for awhile.Hows those puppy sales going?
Were off to Spotlight today as i want some of those butterflies made of the stocking material that i can stick to the wall above/around lily's cot.My eldest daughter reckons they have them so lets see. Townsville doesnt have alot of stock not like my old ashmore store
Just wanted to share a link that breaks down where weight gain during pregnancy is attributed!
http://health.ninemsn.com.au/pregnancy/expertadvice/8139986/weight-loss-and-pregnancy
Also, re the Bumbo, we were told by the midwives in our antenatal class to stay away from them, as they are really bad for baby's posture. So I have purchased the Bebe PodBoost on their recommendation. On the other hand, I have a couple of friends who have used the Bumbo and been happy with it. I like the idea of the PodBoost cos we can just throw it in the car when we are going to the parents or anywhere else and it can be strapped onto normal chairs for baby to eat instead of needing a high chair.
Pls - Sooo happy to hear Lachlan and Lily are doing well. They are great weight gains! :yelclap: I have my fingers crossed they are ready to come off those ventilators in a few days time! Hope you find the butterflies at Spotlight today.
Micca - You poor thing having that scare over there and the closest hospital is a shambles! So glad you had the doppler with you to give you some peace of mind, and relieved to know you and babette were given the all clear at the hospital!
Bubba - Hope your "Princess Fiona" feet have gone down a little! Great weights for your 3 little ones!
Jane - I hear you on the nesting! I have been so OCD on the cleaning and having everything ready for the baby, and on top of that Christmas shopping, work etc! I actually had an anxiety attack on Saturday morning cos I was feeling so overwhelmed and stressed with it all. That was pretty scary and I'm now worried if that has effected bubba. DH and I then spent the weekend cleaning the house and clearing all our old stuff in the spare room that will become the baby's room, as all the furniture is being delivered on Thursday. I've always liked things clean and tidy, but the way I'm feeling is a whole other level!
Mrs P - Congrats on the new car, the start of building the house and that everything was great with your little girl yesterday! And yay for the placenta being away from your cervix!
Petals - That neighbour needs to be told where to go. That's the last thing you need to be dealing with right now. I hate the idea of you being like a hostage in your own home because of her craziness!!!
Sweede - Yay for a good sleep! It's so annoying to get up multiple times for bathroom visits though, I hate it!
Lissy - I haven't read any early parenting books yet, but was thinking the other day I wouldn't mind reading one now rather than reading as I go when the baby arrives! Does anyone have any good recommendations?
AFM - Very excited today, as we have a growth scan and get to see the baby again at length! It'll be interesting to see bubba in 4D, as we haven't seen him/her in 4D since fattening up! Mum is joining DH and I and she is so over the moon at being included, which is really cute! Very much looking forward to my afternoon :flowerz:

Mrs P - " she is in the 40th percentile (no idea what that means) "
That means that in 100 babies there would be 39 babies her age smaller than her and 60 babies larger than her (approximately obviously). So she is a little smaller than average but not by much.
My DS is in the 97th percentile for height, so in a room of 100 children his exact age there would only be 3 children larger than him (approx). He is a MONSTER. If he keeps growing at this rate he will be 6' 4" ..... won't be carrying him then will it  (not that I can carry him now he is so big)
Micca - glad you had good news from the hospital. I think it was a matter of doing too much. Rest up from here on in and I would be avoiding the 12 hour shift.
Pls - so glad the twins are going great guns. Must be a releif after the last couple of weeks for you.
Lissy Loo - It is funny that you mention the early parenting books as one of the major mistakes women make is they read all the pregnancy books and then realise when the bub is born they have NO idea what to do. I do believe that it really is a natural thing and you do what you know to be best. You feed them, clothe then, burp them, clean them and let them sleep.
Petels - I think your neighbour may have some mental issues, hopefully nothing major but I would be firmly keeping her at arms length. Do you have any other neighbours you don't like? You could alway suggest she go to them for help (that is my evil streak coming out)
Bubba - I had HORRIBLE swollen feet with DS. They were so fat that you could feel them wobble when you walked. Like having jelly molded onto the top of them. Not really anthing you can do except keep them elevated above your heart as often as you can.
Hi to everyone else I have missed.
AFM - not much happening with me. Still eating healthy and still actually losing weight with the pregnancy. Can feel Keira kicking away so know all is well with her. Other than that not really much to report.
Ciao

MrsP....glad everything is well with you... and bub is growing well... babette has a little head...lol..so mummies vagina is very happy about that....lol...lol..
the only downside is that your bub might have a huge growth spurt in the next few weeks....lol..eek
Bubba.... so glad that the 3 amigos are all great weights... you are certainly a great incubator of babies....
sorry that the princess Fiona feet are so hideous I guess you can blame the 3 amigos on that one... Im lucky and have been spared all that for now..
Donna....glad you are just plodding on with no problems....we have had enough excitement the last few weeks here.
Jane... wow you have got the cleaning bug as well....now that makes me really feel slobby...Ive still got the ikea wardrobe flatpacked on the floor of the lounge not put together...lol... It will be done before christmas...(I hope..lol)

Petals...you might have to go a park your car around the corner every day....:laughing::laughing:
Donna...great stuff about your health....probably will make it easier for you after the birth....
nat - hope your 4D was awesome..pls let us know!!!!
Lissy - hope you get a good night sleep.....
I had my only one on one appointment today with midwife..most looking good...had very low blood pressure and i have actually been a bit dizzy today..so probably just a one off thing....I do normally have low pressure....
..girls I just posted my 32 week picture and a lovely picture of my feet from last week......( sorry if ugly but is rather funny at the same time......:p)
Hi Girls!
MrsP, 25 is nothing... guess that is 23 days of work now.. woo!! Exciting about your new car and house being built too. All go for you! Glad to hear your placenta has moved up too!
Pls, great to hear your little ones are growing well. Bring on bath time! Gad to hear your scar is healing well too. Did you coax your kids into helping with your garden? Hope so! :) Thanks for mentioning about what the dr's said too regarding PPL. Fingers crossed.
Swede, you look gorgeous! You should be in one of those cosmopolitan pregnancy mags! Mmmm... maybe they would just have to do from the ankles up though :). Goodness they look painful those slabs!! Isn't it an awful feeling. Mine were puffer fish last week and I could feel the water swishing around in them. For some reason they have gone down now, thank goodness!
Petals, how exciting about your baby shower!! Good idea on knocking too much interaction with your neighbour on the head now! What a fruitloop.
McShad, you party animal!! That is very impressive staying awake until 3am!! Very well done. Hope you have managed to catch up on a bit of sleep since. How are you finding your thyroid levels have been since being preggus? Have they been stable?
Lissy, do you know how old bubbas need to be before they go in one of those seats? My friend gave me one and at first I thought it was a potty :). She had to explain to me what it was and how great it is because bubs can't get out. Good idea about reading books about after birth! I must start doing that too.
Nat, How did your scan go?
Donna, good on you for being so healthy through your pregnancy. You must feel great.
Micca, so glad to hear you have been okay. What a relief hey! I joked to my DH that I was going to go to NZ to have bubs so she would be a through and through kiwi and not a halfy, he said like hell! hehe... I'll still train her to support the All Blacks.
Bubba, your little ones are coming along nicely too! Do you find your feet are puffer fish constantly? Hopefully you get some relief!
Jane, I hear you re the spring cleaning... I'm obsessed at the moment. May have something to do with our renos being finished though. Was on my hands and knees scrubbing tiles on the weekend, they look soooo good :)
AFM, Thankfully not much going on here. Reno's are done!! Place looks spiffing. Bought stickers for blobina's room which are big red mushrooms with big white spots... its going to look very cute. Am having trouble sleeping like most of you... keep rolling on my back so have asked DH to wake me when he notices. I have my baby shower this weekend. I'm actually having a few with different groups of friends :). Talk about making the most of the situation. I wasn't that comfortable having one, but my friends have been horrified!! So now having three. Will just be lovely to spend time with them all.

Heloooo ladies,
Mrs P, how is the new car.
My hubby works for Subaru. Nice stable cars.
Does anyone know that is in brisbane if you can street park at the royal womens hospital.
All these signs gets me confused.
As for me, well i have wednesday and thursday to go then finished !!!!
Thank goodness, looking forward to doing NOTHING
Got to go to dietician and diabetic appt this friday, think i get my machine so i can prick my finger 4 times a day to check my blood sugar levels, yuko.
Have got my 36 week appt with doc on 30th dec, so that will be the telling appt as to whether this little man is growing too big for me to have a natural birth??
Angela I am in absolute LOVE with my car.
No idea about the Royal womens sorry, If its anything like the mater there might be off street parking after 5
Zofar hopefully yours moves up to! How great renos are done, how cute does your mushroom sticker sound. Have fun at your THREE baby showers  It hurts to sleep on my back now :(
Swedeendie OMG your feet!!!!! Mum said eat parsley to help your body get rid of the fluid. You are all belly <3
Micca have fun tomorrow, I need a nice relaxing day like yours, very jealous!
Peteals another baby shower, so many baby showers. I have yet to organise mine I will wait until SIL gets back from overseas she can do it :P
Donna Thanks for that! I don't mind having a little buba haha, when is low too low? You've picked the name Keira for bubba girl, its on our list. We are so stuck on names :(
Nat how great about your scan, I thought I would have a growth scan at the actual scan place and get to see 3d again but apparently not! Maybe I should book in for a scan at the 'novelty scan' place
Thats as far back as I'm going lol I am about to head off to bed. Sooo tired, no amount of sleep I get is enough :(
OMG I am so behind on this thread - been out of touch for so long. Congrats Plsjust on your little ones. Hope everyone else is doing well... well except for your neighbour Petals! Lets all hope she twists her ankle and can't come over and hassle you anymore LOL
Had a few dramas here, but things are "still going OK" so I'll try not to get stressed. A few more weeks then I'm on parental leave - I can't believe this has come so soon! And Christmas!? Where the h3ll did that come from! OMG how am I going to shop! Hahahaha
Hope you're all well and your pregnancies are going along great. Hopefully when I finish work I will have more time to catch up on you all and where you're at :)
Morning all,
Micca - so happy all has settled down with babette. Lots of rest and give the 12hr shifts up to someone else.
Pls - :highfive:for L & L wonderful news of the weight gain. Hope the gardens get weeded and your shopping trip is successful.
Zofar - saw the specialist last week and he is very happy with my levels, I dont have to see him now until the baby is born.:smiliedance:
Nat - hope your groth scan was good and you got to see bubs in 4D, so very exciting, I cant wait for this.
Donna - :smiliedance:for being healthy and loosing weight. Hope you can keep it going. Lovely name for your girl, me and DH still havent decided on one yet, we have a list but thats the closest we have come.
Angela - hope all is going ok with the GD, dont worry about the testing 4 times a day its only a little pr!ck.
Mrs P - about your vagina being happy its a small baby, but you know it still hurts the same. lol
AFM - not much happening, except im feeling like i have a second wind. I have so much energy today im not sure why. And only been getting up for the toilet 2 times a night:yelclap: instead of my normal 5. GTT test tomorrow. Just have to find the time to do it.

Morning,
Nat - The bebepod looked better and safer than the Bumbo so thats why we went with it too.
Zofar - I think bubs can go into the seats once they have neck support so around 3-4 months old. Enjoy your 3 Baby Showers :)
Angela - good luck with the dietician this week.
Micca - Have a good day at the movies.
Swede - You look gorgeous, can tell your a photorapher with those pics. Those poor feet of yours though. ouch!!
Hey Fang - Good to hear from you. Hopefully you get to have some relax time before bub arrives.
Mcshad - Take advanatage of that second wind, although don't go too nuts.
AFM - felt a bit queezy and light headed coming into work this morning. The Train was packed and delayed because of a defective train in front so maybe all the smelly people got to me. We had a warm night only got down to 20 degrees
so quite warm.
Donna - No news is always good news when it comes to pregnancy! Glad to hear you're plodding away nicely!
Petals - Hope that annoying neighbour isn't bothering you today! Did you make it on time to your antenatal class last night
Micca - It would be great if you don't have to do that 12 hour shift just so you don't push yourself and have another bleed. Enjoy your day out today!
Sweede - Your photos are amazing, wish I looked as good as you through this pregnancy! Take it easy with that low blood pressure today.
Zofar - Congrats on finishing the reno! Bet it feels good to have that done and dusted! Enjoy your 3 baby showers!!! :goodvibes:
Angela - Yay for finishing work! Try and get in some lady of leisure days before Christmas and just look after yourself!
Mrs P - Def go for the "novelty scan" place. We are at the perfect gestation (around 28 weeks) to have the 4D pics taken according to the sonographer, as the baby has fattened up and they can get some good shots before its too big in there!
Fang - Great to hear from you! You must be excited to finish up work soon and have some free time on your hands! The year has definitely flown, Dec and Jan will disappear so quickly too!
McShad - Yay for more energy! Makes you feel so good doesn't it! Most days I'm so lethargic, but when I get those rare days with lots of energy I just feel human again! Good luck with your GTT tomorrow!
Lissy - Eww to your train ride this morning! I think that definitely added to your queasiness! Just try to take it easy today, don't overdo it if you're not feeling 100%.
AFM - Growth scan went really well yesterday! Everything is developing nicely. Bub weighs 3 pounds (around 1.3kg) which is slightly above average for it's gestational age, but that's cos it's slightly longer than average! Hubby is tall so OB thinks that's why, but hopefully it's nothing to worry about. I had my GTT this morning and am dreading the results. I hope bigger baby isn't an indication of Gestational Diabetes! We'll find out in a few days I guess. We got some beautiful 4D pics as well and the baby actually looks like a baby, it's just so amazing to see and makes it feel so much more real! The cutest thing was the fire alarm went off in the middle of my scan, it was sooo loud...and bubba lifted it's hands up to cover it's ears. We couldn't believe it, was so amazing!
nat.... so glad the growth scan went well and you got some great 4D pics..Im hoping for some at my 30 scan.
so cute about the baby covering its ears..aaaaawwww
Good luck on the GTT results... fingers crossed
Lissy.....ooooh yuk a warm train full of smelly people thats enough to make anyone feel a bit yukky.... not long for you to go now...
mcshad...jealous of you and your extra energy.... I have got up to pee 3-5x night the last few weeks...Im sure its because babette has changed her position from transverse to having her head next to the bladder...sigh...
Fang...glad you are plodding away quietly..nice to hear from you
angela....2 days left....so lucky on the work front... lets hope that your sugars are not too wild.. and that the diabetic appointment goes well.
zofar.... wow multiple baby showers..you are one spoilt mummy....
Yay for the renos being finished..we all expect a photo of bubs room when its finished...lol..
swedee... you look so beautiful in those photos... lovely little basketball you are growing there....
the princess Fiona feet just look uncomfortable...sigh...
well I had a quietish day... went and did a few quicke errands with my mother..changed a baby suit from 00 to 0... got batteries, knitting wool and then went and saw harry potter... me and the other 10 people in the cinema... lol..
I must say it was VERY VERY slow... I was beginning to figit in the end...but it was a nice afternoon especially for us country bumpkins that never go to the cinema
I phoned the boss last night and we have reduced my 12hr shift to 7-8hr so that should be ok.... Im hoping it will be quiet as well....I guess if monday goes badly with discomfort then I will can tuesdays shift..we will see...
Off to have a cuppa and a nana nap..lol..

I was interviewed this morning for an article to go in the Agenda section of the Sunday Telegraph in Sydney. The reporter was doing an article on donor conceived children and got my name through someone and someone and someone. Photographer from the Courier Mail coming out tomorrow to take a photo of me and DS to go in the article
Have no idea how many she interviewed or even if she will use my info and photo but still a bit of something different for me.

Fang - We are very chatty in here
Mcshad - GL with the GTT today hope it all went well!
Lissy - Boo for overpacked trains I dont miss that at all I must admit!
Nat - Wow that is amazing I often wonder how much the bubbas can hear!
Micca - Keep inactive!
Donna - Yay will look out for the papparazzi pic!
AFM - No more bad neighbour so far! :yelclap: SOOOO tired just packing an thinking about the long drive tomorrow Hubby is rather worried he is so cute! Ill be MIA for a couple of days to recover and see everyone but will try to get on Sat! :wave:take care of all your precious bellies!
petals glad to hear about the neighbour. have fun!
Donna how cool is that, will they tell you if it gets used?
Micca what an empty cinema haha, your day was busier than mine lol
Nat like you said your baby is probably long like your dh, hope your results come back good
Lissy oh yuck that must have sucked, we had a cold night the last few nights. I love warm nights with a nice breeze though
Mcshad SHHH don't tell my vagina that alright. Every time I think about labour I get SOO excited, I can't wait for it all. Then I think I am crazy for looking forward to it haha
Fang not long to go till leave I am jealous, although i am not THAT far behind you lol
I had a sh!t day today, IL crap I am a bit over the drama. Decided I don't want a baby shower, if I have one they have to come then they will buy me things and I want nothing from them. So no baby shower. Bad day, hopefully tomorrow is better. I've drowned my sorrows in a lot of ice cream
donna...wow on the article... lets hope they get the single mothers by choice..whom most of us use ART vs the accidental pregnancies. I saw a statistic that said that 38% of pregnancies are to single women...wow in my books...
But I certainly think that us SMC are amazons in our own right with enduring IVF alone and then all the complications of pregnancy without much support. Im so lucky my mother was with me this week for the bleed..otherwise it would have been just me.... interesting the Ob just assumed I had a husband...I was just too tired to correct her at that point...lol... she even wrote in the notes re husband...hahaha.even though Id ticked single on the front...
MrsP...you are allowed to have cranky pants days.... but remember the baby shower is often about making others happy.... the main reason Im having one is that poor babette has a community of aunts whom all want to be involved with her as they are all strongly maternal towards me the single chic....
petals....have a great break...enjoy your week... yay for the nutcase staying away..
plsjust..... hope LL are continueing to go well....cant wait to hear their next weigh..? today and I hope you get to bath lily...
well only 2 days to go and I am really really looking forward to getting home.
Ive got huge bags under my eyes from poor sleep...mainly because the bed is super hard and my hips ache all night... (my parents just dont get the pillowtop idea, and the bed is like 30years old)
Im looking forward to some decent food.. lets say my father lives on boiled veges, tomato and meat every night without fail..lol... and cant understand why I dont share his passion...lol..lol... So cant wait to get home...it will be interesting to see what my weight is...
out for lunch today, maybe a baby shop then back to the couch... my mother is slightly driving me nuts this morning.. I suggested a baby shop to visit and she told me its not very good and expensive....and I asked how she knew that... oh Ive never been there...but I think I went to one similar in Aus WTF!!!!. Its such hard work trying to be diplomatic around these warped ideas...sigh. my tongue is getting bitten to shreds...
rock on home and my comfy bed...

Morning,
Donna - How cool is that, your famous:laughing:
Petals - Your probably on the road so have a great time and safe travels.
Mrs P - Not good about your IL issues. Sorry that you have decided not to have a baby shower, maybe you could tell them your organising it and doing it your way and if they don't like it then they don't need to come?
Micca - I think you should just go to the baby shop and be the judge of whether it is not good and and expensive. That poor tongue of yours:p
Mcshad - boo to disturbed sleep, hope you can get some rest today.
AFM - Another warm night but managed to sleep ok, train ride wasn't too bad. I told DH i want to drive from after his monthly ticket expires end of next week. He will drive and drop me off and park in the city and then we'll travel home togther, just need to organise our hours a bit more but
thats ok.
Glad you slept alright. I'm starting to struggle in the sleep department

 Girls!
Lissy, how hot have the last few nights been!! I am a walking zombie at the moment from lack of sleep.
McShad, Can I have some of your energy please? I need to find the nesting bug which so far seems to have eluded me...
Micca, Sounds like you have had a scarey few days. Glad to hear everything is ok. Sounds like you are ready to come home now and have a holiday. Will your mum be coming over to Aus after the birth?
MrsP, Hope your day is better today. Have you got a foundation layed for your new home now?
Donna, Your a star! Good on you. Will you post a link to the article for us to read?
Petals, OMG your neighbour sounds like a nutter. I don't think I would have been as polite as it sounds like you have. I hope she leaves you alone from now on.
Nat, Great news on the scan. Looks like your growing a big bubba in there :)
Pls, Great news that bubs are doing so well. Have your new house guests arrived yet? You must just be so exhausted with all of this activity going on.
Bubba, Hope you are travelling ok, particulary as the days start to warm up.
Look at all our tickers starting to count down. It is so exciting and soon we will be having regular birth announcements in this thread. I have 11w5d to go! I can't believe it.
Only 3 more weeks of work and I can't wait. Am starting to struggle now just with my size and lack of energy. Feeling some really strong movements from them now which is so excitiing and weird all at the same time. Now I just have to keep myself away from ebay! I have bought so many cute outfits that are brand new still with tags on them for a fraction of the cost.

Hi lovelies!
Forever bugger about the lack of sleep. I had been waking up with acid in my throat for weeks and having to pee twice a night but now all of a sudden nothing I am sleeping through!
Mcshad Bugger on not being able to go on the cruise. I wish I had some energy to to cleaning....it took me nearly 3 days to put DD's books back on her bookshelf. The 3 amigos are doing great! Me on the other hand not doing so well feet and hands are sore and swollen, and all of a sudden feeling HUGE!!! No chance of me staying home any longer then 30weeks....although the way I am feeling I will be happy to have my meals delivered to me and my washing done. But I will miss DP and DD more then words can say. 20days until admission!!
Petals have a lovely time away especially away form your fruit loop of a neighbour!!
Micca glad to hear you have changed your 12hr shift. Not long until you will be home in your bed!! Keep taking it easy.
Swedee I feel for you with those feet!! My feet are so bad they hurt :crying: My legs have also started swelling! I think I am destined to be a balloon by the time these 3 are ready to come out!!
MrsP Bugger on not having a baby shower because of the IL! Hope you manage to sort it out so you can celebrate. I am not having a baby shower either. We were going to have a big one but after our family thing happening it just isn't appropriate any more. I had a good laugh at your small baby/vagina reference
Lissy glad you managed to get some sleep. Yay for no more smelly train rides soon! Enjoy your massage.
Hi to everyone else I have missed.
We got our 3 cots up yesterday!! There is not much room in there but it will have to do for now. All I need to do is pack my bag and babies bag. I am going to go to maternity in the morning to get my belly checked I have a deposit of fluid a couple of cms below my belly button. When I push it it says pushed in for quite some time
I have been trying to put some more pics in my album but I can't get any to work. Will try to get some up later.
Bubba 3 cots, I've seen two set up, never three! Can the fluid be bad??
lissy glad your teeth are all good and soo jealous of your massage. I have dentist next month I had a filling come out and food is getting stuck
Forever our site was scraped and nothing since. The site supervisor should email me tomrorow apparently. we will see. Stay away from ebay!!! Good job on the buy though, got to love saving money.
I am really struggling with work now, reallly tired. The stairs are killing me every morning. Not long left
Bubba2in2011
25-11-2010, 22:10
MrsP I have discussed the swelling with my OB up here and the clinic at JHH and they were fine with it and said it was normal as my BP is still absolutely perfect! The fluid below my belly button not so sure about that. So will get it checked tomorrow.
The cots are in but there is not much room. No other choice at this time.
When do you go on maternity leave?
Lissy Loo
26-11-2010, 08:44
Morning,
TGIF!!! :smiliedance:
Bubba - I really feel for you with those swollen feet and legs, must be awful. I bet the babies room would be veeeery squishy. hmmm that fluid on belly sounds weird.
Mrs P - Good to get the teeth sorted before our bubs arrive. I'm lucky as i have never had any fillings in my adult teeth.
When do you finish work? Actually i think we need to add our last days on the roll call.
AFM - My wee wake up is getting earlier, it has been around 5am for a little while but last night it was 3:39am, still only once a night though so i can't complain. Oscar my Furbaby is annoying though as he wakes me by purring in my ear and trying to get under the covers, i can't kick him out though as i would feel bad:no:
Well another week down which means we are getting so close now.
My Mum called last night and told me her Dad is very sick and they don't think he will survive much longer. He has been going down hill for a while now though, he had a leg amputated a number of years ago, has dementia and then had his other leg removed a month or so ago so there is not much quality of life for him anymore. It's just a waiting game now. I'm not overly close to my grandparents to be honest but of course i will be sad especially for my Mum, Aunty and Nan.
It's weird because 2.5 years ago i had all 4 Grandparents still alive and kicking, soon there will only be 1.

Mrs P - Thats terrible you poor thing why not have a presentless baby shower! Or I went to one recently and we put some money into the babies bank account!
Micca - Yay for going home you must be so excited!
Lissy - Yay for no more train I think you will really start to feel it soon! Hope your grandpa is okay
Forever - Yay for 3 more weeks! I must admit I am a little jealous of you all finishing up as I work from home I will just work until the bubs is born!!
Pls - How is L&L doing?
AFM - Yesterday was a mission and a half!!! The drive was made even longer by the continuous road works but must admit its nice to be away! Shopping is on the cards today but it is so hard as non of the family knows we are having a little boy so I have to be careful only to pick up neutral things then go back later  missing hubby terribly already I am such a sook at the moment! anyway must go brother is hurrying me up first stop to get my new iphone!:yelclap:
bubba..... glad to hear that its going well.... that fluid around the belly button sounds weird.. lol.
3 cots must be a sight to behold..I bet you end up putting them in the same cot for the first month or so...
hang in there princess Fiona..xxx
Lissy..... sorry to hear about your grandfather..I know how you feel...my cousin died a few months back from cancer... but Ive only met her twice so was not close at all, but it was hard on her parents.
I had a cat that used to love getting under the covers and sleeping at my feet... I have no idea how she could breathe but it was her favourite place in winter...lol
forever...yay for ebay buying at least you can buy for 2 which is exciting.
you will so look forward to stopping work..it seems christmas is a big milestone for everyone to stop...except me:(..is anyone else working after christmas??
my mother will be coming over 10 days prior to my due date and staying around 3 weeksish or more after...she is my birth support person... woes of being single and no family in Auz
MrsP... I with you on the crapola sleep as well.... hmmmm dentist must do before christmas as my teeth need a clean badly.
Mcshad.... bummer about not going on the cruise..I hope that DH brings you a pressie home.. yay for the cleaning..!!!!!
.
Petals.....I hate drives like that... yay for getting a new iphone..woohoo a great toy to have.
I hope you can leave this visit with your secret intact...Im on the its not possible team..lol... your relos will be watching you like hawks...the moment you finger blue stuff they will be on you ...
plsjust... waiting to hear how LL are going and their latest weigh...
I talked to my cousin and her premmie boy was only 740gm when born and hes now the giant top of his class with no problems.... SO LL will both be stars...
Are they on CPAP yet??
donna...would love to read the article...
well I had a lovely lunch yesterday in a cafe in a garden centre with my mother and aunt...so nice... I then went to a little baby shop and bought a few items..lol..
they had it at half price.. so a few little things oogled at the lovely wool blankets and sheepskin underlays....told my mother babette would love that...lol..
then went to a department store where they had 30% off with a sale..so $120 later.... how can I resist pants for $1.50 and cute jeans for $10 ...most of the sizes I got were size 1 but a few 0 and 000..one cute white newborn outfit...
Ive got a case full of clothes..sigh... but I wrote all the sizes and clothes down and its amazing how little you have in each size..I figured that once she goes to daycare I will need about 8 bottoms...as its 2 to daycare a day and then 2 spares so I dont have to wash everyday...mindboggling... But still have lots of things I need that will make all my aunts happy when we have the baby shower.
I was very tired and my back was sore afterwards though..even though it was only 2hrs shopping...sigh...
Last night I had a terrible sleep I swear that I got up to pee 10x between 12pm-2am...after something to eat it seemed to fix it...I am finding that if my blood sugar is low in the night it makes me pee like mad and if its good then everythings ok.
On top of that babettes hb was down a bit on the doppler and I worried..Im sure it was just positional... as when I measured it again at 2am it was fine..but after the bleed I think I can be a little neurotic.. anyway she happily wriggled and kicked most of last night.... I think she is missing my regular diet and the low sugars I seem to get are probably not helping.... home to my protein drinks !!!!!
So a quiet day today infront of the TV, no more shopping now for probably 5 months.....
I must say If I had to travel in pregnancy again I think I would do it earlier... probably 17-20 weeks as I have found it to be quite demanding on the body and the change in diet really seems to have a big impact.
anyway back to my own computer tomorrow...yay...

Petals - I didn't realise that you went on your own, that's a long drive in that case. Hope you have a good time though and have fun shopping.
Micca - Only 1 more sleep and you will be home. Rest up today
My Mum just called, my Grandfather (otherwise known as Grumps) passed away this morning:( I feel ok, just feel sad for my Mummy, Aunty and Nanny. Also my cousin is in the US at the moment, she will be beside herself. My Mum's side of the family is very small. She has 1 Sister who has one daughter and that's it.

Lissy - Sorry for you mothers loss. I lost several grandparents that passed away over the years and I know how you mean about not being close, but feeling for you parents.
Micca - this will sound REALLY weird but I had a cat that also used to sleep under my covers but he developed cancer (white cat) and actually passed away while I was in Gladstone for a week. The day I came home and couldn't find him, I knew what had happened and that night I was laying in bed and I had this overwhelming feeling of having to lift my covers for my cat - so I did and for the next couple of minutes I felt him laying next to me. I felt his fur, his breathing in and out and... heat. It was the weirdest sensation I have EVER felt. I was freeked but also felt that he was saying good bye to me. After a few minutes I had to put my hand down to where I felt him and it all vanished. I truely believe he came to say goodbye to me because I felt so guilty that I wasn't there when he was so sick and passed away..... that is my only "ghostly" experience.

Lissy I am so sorry to hear about your Grumps. I hope you and your family pull together during this tough time. Hugs
Donnat hat is freeeaky!
Lissy so sorry to hear about your grandfather :(
Micca good work on the shopping, you've done so well lately haha.
Man I am so tired, sleeping is so hard.
What do you think of the name Ariana? It is the latest to pop up on our list. It pleases my dad with my background and we both like it. Dh said he likes Amber to. Jade and Keira are on our list at the moment to
Lissy.....hope you can give lots of support to your family, sorry to hear about gramps.
Mrsp Ariana is one I had on my list for a while, I still love it..... Very similar to my favorite arabella...
My family in nz have gone nuts trying to figure out babettes name but I'm not giving them any big hints lol...lol..
Donna.......freaky story...
Well I'm at the airport waiting to go home. Feel exhausted and a bit nauseous and tummy tender so having something to eat and drink and a sit down. Got about 40mins to board. I was more sad to say goodbye to my parents than what I thought I would be....but I will see them for a short visit after Christmas and my father swears he will load Skype...so we are hoping.
We weighed my bag at home and my father reckoned it weighed 27kg so we took some stuff out into hand luggage.....of course it only weighed 20kg.llllol I guess his 200yr scales are not that accurate...lol..it was nice checking in at the business class and sitting in the airline lounge....that qantas club membership is worth every dollar.
Anyway time to get more food and drink.
I've never had to say goodbye to parents it would be hard! Your dads scales probably aren't good to weigh yourself on either haha
Christmas is only 4 weeks away!!!!!!
Hi all,
Lissy - hope your family and you are all ok with the passing of Grumps. My thoughts are with you.
Mrs P - Ariana i like the name, I have Jade and Amber on my list too, but dont think DH will agree, I really like Harper but DH hates it. Im hoping we can decided soon so Chooch has a name when she arrives.
Micca - :smiliedance:im soo happy and relieved that your on your way home, now if anything happens you know you will be in good hands. Welcome home.
donna - I believe 100% that would have happened. When my nan died mum was at the hosp, I was home in the laundry and kept hearing someone calling my name and answered 3 times, next time I heard my name being called it was DH telling me my mum was on the phone nan had passed away 5 minutes before. Strange what things happen when people pass over.
Petals - glad you made it ok. I too thought DH was going with you. A big drive on your own I would never attempt it.
Bubba - not long now till hospital time then get those nurses to make there money, let them look after you, and bring on the meals. :fingerscrossed: there nice meals. lol. Im sure you will miss DP and DD lots but you need the rest at the moment so keep baking those buns :p
AFM - have been organizing catering for 500 council staff & kids xmas party. And DH left for his cruise yesterday :o i cried when he left (bl**dy hormones). The xmas party is a big job so im hoping im going to get lots of helpers. Will be an early night for me tonight as it will be a 5am start tomorrow
I'm back.............lol
So glad to be back in aus even if it is only the Sydney airport. The nice qantas lady put me on an earlier flight so I only have to wait 30mins instead of 2hrs. Sian hour flight Togo and then a 120km drive....I'm staying in the work flat tonight so that's much better than the 270kmone home.
Tired.
But big leg of jouney is done.
I feel so relieved to be home.... Now at least if anything happens it's on home soil......of course that ain't gonna happen !!!!!. Babettes inside for the long haul.
Anyway got to go and board my next plane, at least it is a jet and not a wind up one..lol..lol
ForeverHopeful
27-11-2010, 16:30
Lissy, :hugs: to you and your family. Look after your mum.
Micca, Welcome home! It's always nice to get back to your own place after a break.
McShad, How long is DH gone for? We will keep you company.
Donna, I cried when I read your post (damn hormones) as it reminded me about my cat. He used to come see me about once a week for a few months after he passed. Same sensation, warmth purring etc.
Had my Glucose test today. That was tough. I had nothing in my stomach this morning from :barf: and emptying it at 1am this morning so already felt sick when I got there and then having to drink that stuff and still not eat for another two hours. I didn't cope well and ended up having to lay down before I passed out. :fingerscrossed: the results are ok and I don't have to do it again. Did everyone else have to do the fasting 2hour test?
angelanathan
27-11-2010, 17:58
Foreverhopefull,
I had to to do the 2hour fasting as my first test was positive.
Second test for me was positive as well.
Had my appt at the hospital, saw the diabetes lady and also the dietician.
Very informative.
We received our own glucose monitor, so now i have to test my self 4 times a day.
Levels have been good so far.
I also cannot share care with my local doctor, have to see Hospital for all my checkups as well. Which sucks, cause i hate parking at the hospital.
Oh well, i guess its all for the health of this little one.
Have appt on tuesday, can't believe i will be 32 weeks. Countdown is on , starting to get a bit scared actually.
If this is TMI then don't read on but i have a question.
When i am in bed lying on my side, i seem to get movement in my vagina, (like where the mound is or where the hair grows) does anyone else get that, it is so weird cause u just don't expect that area to move about, im guessing its just the head but wow he must be so low down?
Anyway, enough about me.
How is everyone else feeling about our pending labor's coming up?
well Im finally esconded at home...well the work flat... I cant believe how much the grass and garden has grown in 2 weeks...everything was very very dry though and a bilt wilting..but mummy is home to water it now.
been to the supermarket and stocked up.... and had my protein drink..sigh...bliss to be on the couch...ahhhhh blankie....how I love you....
I did not realise how anxious I was to get home until I arrived... Ive spent the last week having a slightly anxious time every time I go to the toliet looking for bleeding, worrying about every cramp and ache... stressing with every braxton hicks.... Now I just want to get past the 30 week mark so I can relax a bit... darn this bleed its turned me into a neurotic nelly....sigh..and I was actually enjoying this pregnancy until that happened....lets hope that I can get my mojo back..in the next few weeks.... got the ob appointment in 8days...
Im sure I will feel better after a few nights of good sleep.
forever...yay on passing your Glucose test... bummer on feeling unwell... Im doing a 2hr one on thursday morning..not looking forward to it...
angela....Im glad your sugars are going well thats the huge battle.
Bummer about not being able to do share care with your GP..
All I can say about the pubic region is that it sounds like the head is sitting there...will you have an uss at the OB appointment? at least that may help answer the question.
mcshad...wow thats a huge christmas party to organise, good luck on that task.
Those darn hormones really make us emotional dont they...
plsjust..hope LL are going well....
time for a cuppa... so tired...
will be in bed early tonight...not really up to doing dinner... maybe a banana and toast.

Hi girls,
I'm awake at sparrows fart yet again, i can't seem to sleep past 6am anymore, veeeeeery annoying.
Micca - You must be so happy to be home. Are you staying at your work flat or going back home today?
Angela - Hope you can keep that GD under control and yay for 32 weeks for us:smiliedance:
Mcshad - Thats a big staff party
Mrs P - I know 4 weeks, not long. Better think about putting the tree up this week.
AFM - Nothing much really, i went and had some luncha dn did some shopping with a friend. Didn't buy much, an FP playmat that i wanted and some breast pads. The weather has been awful and rainy down here and is still the same today. Not sure what DH and i will do today, want to go and have a look at some upright freezers and a Camcorder.

Micca - Love the name Arabella it was one of my top picks but hubby likes more traditional names! Hope you had a goo flight home!
Angel - I get that same movement if feels as if bub is pushing the midwife said it was completly normal!
Hi to everyone else I missed
AFM - Had the most exhasting day yesterday and ended up sleeping for 5hrs in the arvo! :D Baby Shower this afternoon and so looking forward to it cant wait! Already got some great pressies from friends that could not make it.............Jungle rug fror bubs room, Baby einstein play mat & a Chicco Highchair! Not exactly sure how I am going to get it all back to QLD
well I managed a good sleep ...even though I needed 3 pee stops..sigh. so nice to be back in my bed with its soft top and no aching pressure points...
still tired...got so much to do today...but Ill probably end up with tidying, sorting, lounging on the couch. might get a start on the baby shower list that my friends want me to do.
petals.....enjoy the baby shower...wow you have some great gifts..lucky you...
that was a huge sleep yesterday...sort of what I need..lol.. have a great day
lissy... yep the weather is miserable but we need the rain and the cool temps are just so lovely in my books...although its not helping the lawn get mowed in a hurry...have to get the boy next door to do it.
hmm my christmas tree will go up thursday when I get home..I usually drink a bottle of wine and eat mince tarts with some christmas movie on when I do it... the joys of living alone you make your own traditions.... my biggest problem is to decide what to do for christmas as I am a christmas orphan this year... (Ive had far too many alone christmas celebrations..(I used to work to get away from it)...so not keen to spend another one alone eating sandwiches. so I will have to work on that ...sigh
so not looking forward to work tomorrow...sigh... the paperwork and mail waiting will be hideous..oh well...
have a great day everyone

Hi Ladies,
Well the article came out today in the Sunday Telegraph and it has been picked up by the Courier Mail. I have tried to scan them and put them in my photo album but I can only get the Courier Mail one to do it.
Anyway, it is in my profile for those who are interested.
Cheers
Donna
donna........great story.... your little boy is a perfect mini me of you...
a nice thing to add to the photo album.
Hi Lovely Girls,
How has your weekend been?
MrsP, we are having lots of trouble with names too! Its so tricky. I think we have one that I love, but DH is still thinking about it. Ariana is a lovely name. Whats the go with your baby shower? Can you have one without inviting the IL's? Its all about you and bubba so as far I see it you can do what you want :). If the IL's do give you crap you don't want there is always ebay! hehe..
Fang, lovely to hear from you. Sorry to hear you have had a few dramas. Hopefully everything is on track now?
McShad, lovely to hear your thyroid levels are tracking well. Mine have too which is such a relief! This pregnancy thing seems to really have leveled everything out! Yahoo! Is your DH back from his cruise? Bet you can't wait for him to come home. Rather you than me organising that xmas party.. .full on!!
Nat, how gorgeous your little one covering their ears... that makes it so real!!
Micca, welcome home! Glad to hear all is going well for you. It is understandable that you would be a bit of a nervous nelly for a little while, that was a horrible scare!
Forever, congrats on 11wks to go!! I swear it only speeds up from there. It felt like last week I was there and now I'm approaching 6 weeks to go... ow.. that is scary just writing that :). Well done with your shopping on ebay... way to go! That GT is crapola. I didn't fast but felt shocking!! Bit like i have today actually because i have eaten too much chocolate!
Lissy, a massage sounds lovely! How often do you get them? I might book in for one as a treat for when i finish work. I'm sorry to hear about your grandfather.
Bubba, so exciting you have the cots up... did you find out about the indentation? All sorts of weird things happen in pregnancy that the OB's think is normal.
Petals, well done on the gifts so far! Looking forward to hearing how your baby shower went.
AngelaNathan, wow, that is weird, have you had anymore pressure down there? I'm feeling okay about the labour (if I can go natural - find out in three weeks), I figure we don't have a choice now, she has to come out somehow, and am looking forward to meeting our little girl. Having said that I'm all for the epidural!
Donna, what a gorgeous little boy you have! He really does look just like you. How precious. I couldn't read the article was really blurred.
AFM, had a baby shower today with the lovely friends I've made through work over the years, was really fun, I was blown away and felt so special! They are just as excited as we are about our little girl arriving. We went out for breaky and they had decorated the table and all bought us so much stuff! Was insane. Then after that me and mum went shopping and bought lots more, so am now on a roll!
This weeks task is to pack my hospital bags. I have been a bit relaxed about it, but then I was reminded if I wasnt prepared DH would need to come home and pack. No thanks!
Have a great week ladies!!!
Zofar naming someone is by far the hardest thing I've had to do  we keep calling her Ariana to 'try it out' lol As for the baby shower... who knows, maybe we will just have a bbq and invite everyone over, IL's have to be there, my SIL wants to organise it which is fine, she is my favourite Its just anything fil related I dont lol. Glad you had a great baby shower, I just saw yoru ticker, you reallllly don't have much longer to go!!!
Donna great article!
Micca do you have much stuff left to get? I don't envy your pee stops, once a night is enough for me

Hey lovelies
Cant remember everyones bits n pieces but wil do my best pls forgive if i leave you out as im sooo tired lol
Micca-glad your home safely & no more bleeding again..... i have everything crossed it doesnt come back again & you make full term.
Lissy-Big hugs about your "grumps" hope your mum, aunty coping well.
Bubba- not long now till the admission day, hope your not stressing too much, i feel for you being away from DP & DD.
Petals- hope you having a nice time away.
Big hello's for all.Cant believe xmas is soooo close hey.Im being a lazy bum still & not putting up our big tree :D cant b stuffed.
Lily now weighs 1396g & lachlan 1236g both now on Cpap.Lily gone down 2 levels(10 to 8) already since friday & lachlan still on 9,hes doing better but still struggling a bit.Lily had her first bath with me was so cute. There taking her central line out tonight cause they think its causin her a infection again so 24-48hrs without one for a break. They have mentioned up in NICU when both are settled soon they can go into open cots (waterbeds) as there only on air now in the humidity cribs,no oxygen & no heat cause there keeping their own temps now, so cant wait for that too happen... another step closer to being home.Lily had to have a canula put in her head the other day cause her feet wouldnt let one go in,that didnt look nice at all but she coped so well,it was just so they could up her blood a bit.Leats they didnt shave her hair off thankfully. So anyway there both doing well still.Day at a time but were getting there slowly- there 5 weeks old tomorrow !!! :smiliedance: Im going to change my days around too & get up for the 1st expressing at 5:30am then do another before heading to hospital for the cares @ 8:30am then spend the morning with them & come home for a afternoon of rest.Im at the moment spending all day at home till 3pm then heading in & not getting out till almost 6pm which then dinner is late & then rushing back in with dh so its all too rushed & tiring so going to do the morning cares instead so i can have a nap through the day.All visitors gone, kids left with tears which got me going too.Mum/pop left today so no more visitors (i dont think) till bubs come home, hoping it doesnt make for a long dec  We offered for MIL/FIL to come up in dec for a few days but they declined but thats ok im happy with that.My scar ended up in a mess again(thursday) but my gp reckons its cause the knots on the ends are taking their time to disolve & causing it to heal very slowly, which after putting on cream they both fell off in my hand & now it looks to be healing well & closing up.
Well better get moving... tomorrow is weigh in day & im guessing lily will be over the 1.4kg mark & lachlan in the high 1.2kg region even better if he gets over 1.3 but think thats dreaming a little too high. Both of them are on 1ML of expressed milk- hrly now too so hopefully packing it on.
Have a great sunday night ladies... dh gone to grab hamburgers for us as weve not even thought of dinner  then wouldnt mind showering & heading for bed.Chat tomoz i promise cause i wont have ppl to entertain or talk to in person lol
MrsP...you have had a busy day but the sounds of it. Did you buy anything exciting????. You rest those feet up...
I still love ariana...lol
Ive still got heaps to get...all the stuff like nappies, breast pumps, bassinette sheets, sheepskin cot underlay, sheepskin for pram, feeding stuff, baby gym, teething toys, ergo carrier, airwrap, new food processor for making baby food... Ive done my list today for my baby shower..although no idea when it will be Im guessing after christmas...as its just too hectic the next few weeks.
Zofar...wow you are so close, it just seems like yesterday when you were in the 1st trimester..time certainly flies so quickly.
Im glad you had such a lovely baby shower... enjoy the warm fuzzies from it,
OMG packing a hospital bag...now you are getting really serious..:)
well a quietish day for me...some tidying..not that you would notice... no cleaning though..lol.. and some light weeding in my vege garden it amazes me that I can still bend over..But I dont think my bump is that huge as babette is sitting more in than out. My neighbour offered to mow my lawns tomorrow..which is lovely ...although I think that the hay baler might be more appropriate...lol..got to love retired bored neighbours...
off to work tomorrow... at least I start at 10am...
time for a shower and to figure out what to wear tomorrow...
maybe a cuppa..

Just trying to read through again and also thought I'd post this story from a first time Mum we know...
she went into labor at just past 8 months
by the time she got to hospital she was already 7 or 8cm dilated (can't remember exactly what she said, I am still in shock)
she gave birth a few hours later and was out of hospital after only 3 days.
Everything about her pregnancy and bub was normal normal normal... no gestational diabetes, nothing else that would cause early labor, bub just came early and was 100% healthy when she did.
I think about this every so often and panic that I haven't packed a hospital bag! I just remember her saying at the end of sharing her experience: "from 35 weeks on you'd better have your bags packed and ready to go!"
Just thought I'd share my panic with you all LOL
Hope you are all taking it easy over Christmas/New Year and stay nice and cool on those hot days (we've had a few warm days here and I've noticed bubba is extra squirmy and those days).
I will get to personals soon! Only one more FRANTIC week of work! So much stuff to hand over/get done!!!
Morning Girls,
Fang, I've got my bag out and have things I need to purchase each day to go in it...I've heard lots of stories like that. Its better to be prepared and ready to go hey! :) How are you going with yours? All set to go? Good luck with your last week of work! I hope it isn't too hectic for you.
MrsP, I agree, naming is very hard. I think we have ours sorted, we discussed it again last night and even have middle name sorted... about friggin time! A bbq sounds like a fab idea! When I came home yesterday I really felt like DH missed out, so is nice to include them too as much as possible.
Pls, how exciting you got to bath Lily. That would have been so special. Look forward to hearing how your little gorgeous ones have grown.
Micca, take it easy this week. Glad to hear your neighbour is helping you out with your lawns.
I'm off to work early. Have one week until a major project goes in and I want to finish off what we need to early in the week if we can to reduce the stress. Then from there it is hopefully two weeks of cruise time! Thats if I've got everything right... bring it on! :)
Have a great day everyone!

Question girls
How far do you or will you live from your Family and friends when you have bubs?
I'm just wondering if you all have family close by or if they are a but of a distance away. We live in the NW burbs of Melbourne and my Mum and Sister live in the SE burbs which is about 75kms away. DH's family live in the N burbs so around 20 mins away so not too far. We have friends all over the place but none of our friends with babies/kids live very close. I'm not sure how i feel about it really, i'd love to be closer to my Mum and Sister but it's not the case so not much i can do about it for now. Anyway just wondering :)

:smiliedance: I passed my Glucose test! Woohoo! I was a bit worried about it given I have PCOS and also did not want to give up my 3 cinnamon donuts a day, yes 3!
Lissy, We are a similar distance to my side of the family and about 450kms to dh's (which actually works for me :)). So there wont be much daily support when bubs come. I will PM you my facebook details. I must admit I never go on there but am defiantely keen to keep in contact with you all once the next stage of the journey begins.
Petals, Babyshower sounds like it was a hit. Yeah for lots of good pressies.
Donna, I couldnt read the article  was really blurry. How have the rest of you managed it?
Pls, Sounds like each week they are getting stronger. Make sure you are looking after yourself so you can be strong for them to.
Fang, I know I was only saying on the w/end I should at least pack a bag for me in case *touches wood* anything happens now. I can't imagine leaving dh in charge of what to bring me. Would probably end up wearing some really inappropriate night wear
Angel, yes I have been booted in the ribs hard for the last few days. I think they have punchups in there because one will kick and a split second later the other retaliates  It has started already.

Forever - YAY for passing the Glucose test, i always had a concern due to PCOS too and was rapped when i passed. btw I sent you a friend request :) So at least i'm not the only one feels like i live far away from everyone. We actually don't know where we want to settle. The house we are in is not our forever house but suits us fine for now and is cheap, houses in Melb are just sooooo expensive i can't justify upgrading until we actually need to.
I'm about to head to my Acu appt.
Lissy..... you are lucky with everyone so close... all my relatives are in NZ. I have one close friend in thredbo and another in sydney with a few friends scatted 100km from home...so my social support just sucks... Im sure Im classified as postnatal depression risk as I have zero support...just as well my mother is coming over from NZ..!!
Forever.... woohoo for passing the GTT :yelclap::yelclap::yelclap::yelclap:...ive 3 days before mine....
Wow 3 donuts a day...poor babette is on starvation rations compared to that !!! at least you have 2 little bundles sucking all the KJs up.
Angela..fantastic news that everything went well with the OB appointment... wow its warm in brisvegas....!!! we are rainy and a high of around 14degrees... Im on the couch with a jumper on and a blankie...lol..lol...
Lissy... Ive sent you a FB request.
Angela... send your details and I can FB you.
anyone else send me a PM.
well a long day at work is finally over..yay I must say the office days are so much better on my body compared to standing days...which I have tomorrow..sigh. we will see how my back goes.
Babette has been more active since I got home...the girl was homesick...lol.. although my proper food intake has probably got something to do with it...
Oh and I got some of that sarah lee hazelnut icecream ...wow Im in heaven...lol..lol..
off to make another cuppa as mine has gone cold...
enjoy your night everyone.
Micca that hazlenut ice cream is to die for! I ate a whole tub in 2 days
Forever that is awesome!! I was paranoid too because of PCOS
Lissy where we are building is 15 mins from FIL and 20 minutes from my dad. Mum is down the hall  baby or no baby I couldn't live far away from dad I am such a daddies girl. I would prefer to be closer to my dad than fil.
I would like to be closer to friends but what can you do! I am probably half an hour away from everyone which isn't that bad I guess, the k's are probably higher but its all highway travel so the minutes aren't as bad
Angela dh is going to the super x this weekend I think. No rib kicks here, not complaining haha. It was pretty warm today on the coast, a/c was blasting
Petals baby shower sounds great, practical stuff is good! Jealous of single digits, I've got 1 more week and I am there haha weeeeeee
Lissy I will pm you :) Feel free to send me names to if you want me to add you :)
I am sooo tired. Found out SIL and her event management friend are planning my baby shower. So have to have one now

Hi everyone. No personals tonight having a bad day. Got next to no sleep last night. My whole body aches. I took myself to maternity on Friday and spent over 2hours having me and these 3 monitored. CTG trace was perfect on all 3 just mum is falling apart. They informed me at the hospital that the fluid that is in my feet, legs, hands and belly will just continue to get worse. I can't believe how in just over 2weeks I have gone from being ok to this.:crying: I have had a few tears over it all. I don't know how I am going to last another 7weeks  16days and I will be in hospital hopefully that will help. Have OB appoint tomorrow not that he will be much help for my swelling.
I am also on face book if anyone wants me to add them. I am already friends with lissy.
Hopefully I will feel better tomorrow and will do some personals. :flowerz:
Bubba hopefully you will be better once you are in hospital, I can't imagine what it must be like to have three in there. Do you have a recent belly shot?
Bubba2in2011
29-11-2010, 21:37
Thanks MrsP I am hoping it will be a bit easier in hospital. I have been trying to load one into my album but it keeps failing  My fundus was measuring 50cms on Friday!!
I am happy that you are getting your baby shower after all!! Wish I was having ours oh well.
Bubba at least in hospital you can have your feet up and have everyone running around for you. You can have a little baby shower at the hospital. You going to have a computer with you?

Forever-yahh for passing the GD test... go the donuts lol:laughing:
Petals- yahh for agreat baby shower & some lovely gifts too by the sound of it.
Bubba- you poor thing with the swelling, when i was in hosp i was with a lady that had GD & she was swollen big time so i feel for you with 3.Im having trouble with photo uploads too?? WEIRD.
Micca- ive sent you a friend request on FB.
If anyone else wants to add me,i have a few of you already but i check FB reguarly & DH is always on mine doing his farming LOL  it seems to be easier to add photos to lately.
Well had a good day but hasnt ended very nice.Lily doing great she now on Hi Flo not on Cpap & doing really well getting fed reguarly through drip (expressed breastmilk -EBM) 1ml hrly.Shes a little trooper just soldiers on through everything, growing heaps.Lachlan is struggling again... hes having a hard time with breathing ,gone upto highest level on Cpap before having to be re-ventilated.He had a xray late this arvo he has ALOT of fluid on his lungs so there cutting back all fluid intake & giving diretics so he pees it out (hopefully) but the shunts between the 2 sides of his heart arent closing (full term babies shut at birth, premmies dont do it till later & some dont shut off & need help) so there doing a ultrasound in the morning to see his heart & decide whether to give Nurofen to shut off the shunts, but it has BAD side effects with intestines & bowels or to operate....so Drs will way up which way is the best way to go with less side effects for him :dizzy: Poor lil buggar seems to go from good to bad very quickly indeed.
Anyway off to bed for me..... managed to get in 8 express sessions today so it better up my milk supply or im going back to what i was doing before. My brain is very drained & with all this expressing adding to it too  but my scar is finally healing... hoping the diarhea & thrush from the anti biotics from the infected scar ,are finally leaving the building too otherwise i gotta take stonger stuff which means no more expressing...i cant win.Think its all taking its time cause im constantly busy & rushing somewhere.

Good morning everybodies...
Lissy- our nearest relatives is 2200klms away LOL  all in sydney, blacktown, gosford & wollongong.
Well waiting to express before heading to hospital.Hoping to catch dr's doing their rnds again so i can see whats gonna happen with lachlan today & his ultrasound scan.Lily is so funny.... now she has more freedom without big nasal prongs in, she turns her head to the side or into the sheets to try & run out/off the tubes & constantly pulling on her food tube, lilttle monkey she is.Dr last night said she doing so well off Cpap, much better for her we just have to sort lachlan out.Our local council are doing a welcoming babies ceremony on Australia Day where bubbas born here & are residents of townsville recieve a welcoming certificate & a plant, a bag of goodies each.So dh reminded me they'll be home by then so register them for it.Which on further inspection that is there EDD date too so would be a nice thing to do considering they'll be 13 weeks old then & should be less then 1 month old
I forgot to mention last night. I did number 2's I've been constipated. There was bright red blood all in the bowl. Anal fissure or hemmeroids. Didn't hurt though. Last time I tried going numer 2's it hurt and not much came out. Poor bum lol

30-11-2010, 08:31
MrsP- start taking coloxyl tabs.I was on 4 a day in hospital & still wasnt runny then since coming home im on 2 a day in the morning because im still on iron tabs (ferro grad c) & because there a high level of iron it constipates me.Even on 2 coloxyl tabs im now going daily but its not runny like they would expect it to be... my system hates poooing LOL  but geez it feels good going daily.Cant wait to stop the iron tabs... hopefully after my 6wk check up next week & they take bloods to check my levels.
Ladies dont let yourself get anemic.. its not fun at all.I was so short of breath & dizzy all the time, feels good to be normal again.I was taking Blackmores I-folic & Dr's said there lolly tabs & to take the red lidded bottle of FerroGrad C instead & because they contain Vit C its absorbed much better. It takes such a long time to recover from low iron levels.I wish i was on the proper tabs right from the start.

Hi Girls,
Micca - Yes you were an exception to my distance question;). I have been having a look at your photo's on FB, you have some amazing shots of all different seasons. You said you lived in the Snowy Mountains but
i didn't realise you meant right in Australia's most popular Ski Resort:laughing:. How do you find it during the Ski season? it must be chockers!! Babette is going to love growing up with some much fresh air and so many things to do in the great outdoors.
I have always wanted to go up Mt Kozi, would love to drive from Melbourne and take it all the scenery along the way, oh well maybe one day with baby in tow.
Mrs P - Yes you are quite close to your family, your Mum in particular:p, you will love the baby shower :) Watch the straining, do you eat enough good fibre?
Bubba - Poor thing xx
Pls - Poor little Lachlan, hopefully he picks up again soon. Lily on the other hand is going great guns!! and yes you were also an exception to my distance question
Re Iron - My Iron levels are fine but my OB did say that he noticed a slight drop between blood test so as a precaution suggested i take Iron supplements so i asked my Naturopath to prescribe me with one and i went and bought from my health food shop. You have to be careful when you have it as it shouldn't be taken with Zinc for instance, a good quality brand will include Vit C to help with absorbency.
AFM - Definitely feeling slightly uncomfortable at times now, nothing i can't handle though as it's all part and parcel of this amazing journey. I can't walk very quickly anymore as the pressure get's a little too much and i can't hold on too long between loo breaks either. I am lucky though as i haven't had any major swelling and or any bad side effects all the way through which is awesome.
ForeverHopeful
30-11-2010, 11:00
Bubba, 50cms  No wonder you are feeling rubbish. I agree with the others, although it will be hard being away from DP & DS at least you will have your feet up and everything done for you.
Pls, Sorry to hear Lachlan is having such a hard time. Keep thinking about that ceremony in Jan when they should be both home with you and you will be living like a normal family.
Lissy, I have been 'waddling' for weeks now. The dog just looks at me when we go for walks or should I say strolls with an expression like is this the best you can do..? I think he thinks its hardly worth it. Funny how he doesn't pull on the lead or anything now like he does with Dh.
I will send my facebook details to those who have said they are on there. Anyone else just let me know. I never go on there so will actually have to make an effort to check it which I'm sure will be easier when you all are uploading baby photos to share. :)
Pls I got some coloxyl this morning and metamucil.
What is good fibre? Lol I am probably not getting enough.
Lissy i tried to waddle fast yesterday when my phone rang. Didn't make it on time haha. I don't feel any pressure yet
Morning ladies,
Petals - so happy you got lots of goddies for your baby shower. Hope you have a nice couple of rest days now so you can drive home safely.
Pls - so happy Lily is doing so well, now I will be preying and :fingerscrossed:that Lauchlan will chatch up with his sister real soon and start the clime to being healthy. Make sure you get some rest and DH is looking after you.
Mrs P - eat lots of fruit and wholemeal products. That has kept me regular all through this pregnancy. :yelclap: for your SIL putting on a baby shower. Hope its goes smoothly with no unwanted issues, its time to celebrate bubs.
Bubba - not long now and you can sit with your feet elevated and have the nursed do the running around for you. Dont think you cant ask them to do something thats what they get paid for.
Micca - :yelclap: your home. So glad you made it here ok. Dont do too much at work and while on the floor standing all day remember to sit whenever possible even if it means every 1/2 hour for 5 min, at least your there and working. lol.
If i have misses anyone im sorry.
AFM - Well had a big day Sunday, was awake at 5am, up and out of the house by 5.15am. Got home around 6pm. Very exhausted and not wanting to move. Had to have a bath and have DS turn the taps off me covered in bath bubbles lol,as DH still on Cruise. Had a vest to put over me just in case i needed a hand getting out lol, lucky i didnt. DH was home on Monday morning took me 1 1/2 hours to get to the city which is normally a 25 min drive:banghead: DS16 goes for his learners today:fingerscrossed: he gets them 1st go so i can start the 120 hours that needs to be done for his P's. No hospital bag packed for me as yet. :p wont take long will do it in the next month or so.
Bubba....OMG that is one huge tummy...I hope you are taking photos. I agree being in hospital will be so much better. remember if the bed is to hard they have some great topper pads that they can put on it that they use for elderly people and are really comfee.
Not long now to go.
plsjust......so glad to hear lily is making huge strides...shes on the home stretch now...
Sorry to hear that lachlan is lagging with a bit of heart problems due to his ductus not closing.... lets hope that they are able to sort it out with the neurofen Im sure once this is fixed he will be catching up to lily real quick.
Sounds like you are a EBM machine... all that beautiful goodness..I was reading this morning that the breast milk composition with preterm delivery is different to term and it is perfectly designed for the immature digestive system to digest...
Keep up the good work...the commenerative day sounds good...Im tempted to send my mother to the australian mint on babettes day to get a new coin (its only a few km from hospital in canberra).
Lissy....Im not waddling yet...Im sure it will come..but I think Im quite compact.. Ill post some belly shots this week.
Im like you apart from the small bleed and a sore back when I am on my feet too long Ive had no real problems at all.
Yep Babette is going to be very lucky..skiing as soon as she can walk and Ill be taking her on lots of trips to Kozi.... Winters and summer school holidays are absolutely mental with people..but its lovely when no one is there.
I would not move for anything.
MrsP...yay for having a baby shower...you will love it. Jealous.
Im taking ferrograd but Im one of the lucky ones where it causes my bowels to be soft..so no consipation problems for me at all..lol.
mcshad.. I hope your back is much better.... I so get the working hard late night and sore backs...wish I had a bath...I just have to make do with a hot water bottle.
hope DS gets his L plates...fingers crossed.
Having a good day on my long shift... managing lots of sitdown time and even a break for lunch...cant complain on that.
Forever.... I can just imagine the look the dog gave you...lol..lol...

arrrgghh just lost my post:geek:
Mrs P - eat plenty of veggies with skins on, add flaxseed/lindeed to cereal, use Multigrain breads. That should help.
Mcshad - that is one very long day you had, that would have been a sight for DS:laughing:
Micca - Babette will be very lucky indeed. We have to drive a number of hours to even see sleet during winter but i guess living in a big city does have it's positives.
I just went to Brazil, wasn't tooooo painful. I'll need to find a lady close to home to do it just before EDD, not sure when
to book it in for though, i refuse to be a hairy gorilla during delivery but who knows when this little monkey will arive hmmm.
plsjust1more
30-11-2010, 14:08
Mcshad- how funny having DS do that for you... my son would have gone ohhhhhh mum gross !!!!LOL
Lissy-Im placing bets you go in labour when hairy.... i shave my legs/armpits reguarly & both at the bleed & then waters breaking i was about to shave that morning...... NOT ended up in hospy with hairy parts lol nurses all laughed as i was more worried then them lol although i did shave the morning of my ceasar.... weirdly enough but the nurses still shaved me for the ceasar as i didnt get a chance to do that, thought id have more warning.
Micca- glad your looking after yourself & babette. Dr's said lachlans is still @ 2mm & lily's has shrunk to 1.5mm.Spoke to lactation lady, she said im doing ok it wont be enough supply once they get going on proper feeds but its certainly been a great start for them.Told me to go get a prescription to boost my milk supply but not to take it yet as we may then go to having too much.Im also to double my fenugreek tabs to 4 per day if they dont give me a tummy ache, as they may help in the meantime.
Miss lily is such a trooper & a character.... she makes me laugh & want to cry at the same time shes just so beautiful.I did cares this mroning & she stayed awake looking at me for ages.... like at least 20mins till we got her positoned & off to sleep she went. She thinks the feeding tube is a toy to play with so we put in a dummy & her hand kept pulling that out & then she constantly licked sheets & everything looking for it again, its funny causes she so little but ohhh so alert now.Lachlan doing better after his diretics to pee the extra fluid out, doesnt seem to be breathing as hard, they have upped his feeds to 2ml per hr now lily still on 1ml pr hr. They will scan his heart in the next day or so but just watching what this fluid on his lungs is doing first.
Wow i can hear thunder.... maybe a storm is coming our way.Im not going up for cares this arvo, need a rest & about to express again  wish i could leave the pump attached & just do other things LOL hate being stuck to a lounge every 2hrs,i sit there thinking of all the things i could or should be doing, would be easier if there was babies attached too.

Mrs P - I can definately relate to consitipation, it makes me feel to grumpy!!!
Since i have given up all the good stuff it is getting more difficult and of course being on iron supplements.
Might have to add all bran to my cereal i think
Micca - yes the peeing, it seems to have increased for me at night too, 3 times a night!!!
Lissyloo - i think your doing awesome, i have not had anything to major happen.
AFM - had some bad back and period pains last night that seemed to last for a few hours.
Went to midwife appt today, baby's head is NOT engaged so thank goodness.
They have booked me in for a scan on the 14th so they can check out if he is going to be a big baby.
Looking forward to that definately.
Has anyone thought of having another baby after this one?
I have been thinking about this a lot.
As my girls are alot older when the baby is 10 my girls will be 17 and 19.
Guess I will have to start trying to get pregnant when bubs is about 6 months because of my age?
Any thoughts ladies?:smiliedance:

Pls - nooooooo i don't want an overgrown forest during labour:laughing: Maybe you could invent a pump that can be attached while you go about other business hmmm:detective:
Angela - I guess baby is starting to get ready. Probably just Braxton Hicks maybe?
Yeah i think about having another one but i'll be waiting a couple of years i think. Not sure if will go down the IVF path again though. We were lucky enough to conceive this little one naturally after so many IVF cycles so i can't help but wonder if we could do it again. We'll see :)
Hurry up hometime!! I'm soooooooo over work now but i need to keep going for just 3 more weeks. You can dooooo iiiiiit!!!
Angela hopefully he is a good size. As for another baby. I am going back for IVF after she is 12 months. If I can breastfeed I want to for at least 12 months and need to stop before I dose up on drugs again.
Pls how cuuuute. I can't believe how old they are already.
Lissy I am never going to brazil again lol. Who knows how I will be down there, I have had to spread for doctors sooo many times I don't care.
I'm sooo tired. :(

Morning ladies,
Ive been sooo slack in regards to posting on BH...not through laziness though, it's just been busy at work and we are in the process of changing our internet provider. So, hopefully be up and running at home in the next day or so. Maybe DH can do some magic and get us running today!!
I'll have to read back and see how you are all going. Sorry for no personals atm.
afm - Starting to feel the heat over here in Perth, and as a result my feet are killing me and swell up like balloons. Im 24 wks and I had initially thought the feet swelling wouldnt happen until a lot later...but I guess the heat here has a lot to do with it.
Also very constipated :hissy: it's horrible. My menu consists of nothing but high fibre foods now...gets pretty boring but it's better than a trip to the hospital to have them remove a blockage, ewwww. Awful thought!! Happy hump day everyone, and its the 1st of Dec, almost :xmas:

Bonny - You guys have been getting some very warm weather already thats for sure. Keep those fluids up and elevate the legs at night if you can. I've been lucky ebough not to have much swelling as yet but am expecting in the last few weeks with the weather heating up i may. Sorry about the constpation buddy, thats yuck!!
Just got back from our 32 week check up and all is looking great. Bubs is head down and in a good position for now. He predicted a slightly above average birth weight so around 3.5kgs but he said they can't be sure anyway. I'm happy with that size, not to big and not to small:yelclap:
Lissy how great! 3.5 isn't bad. I don't know how but my cousins twins were 3.5kg each!
Bonny shame about the swelling, not looking forward to the heat
Angela the leg cramps are terrible aren't they
Lissy summer needs to stay away
I am bloody sick today, one of the guys came to work sick yesterday and now I've got it. He used my phone, it is MY phone on MY desk that is for ME and he used it. GAH! stupid germ spreading lol

Lissy- yahh for a good visit with OB. Even better news now i dont have long to be by myself in the baby world with no one else to chat with about stuff lol
Angela- hope you managed a rest today, leg cramps suck.... my legs are usually sore the next day too but be glad they disapear after birth.
Bonny-I so miss being pregnant but then when you guys all say how uncomfortable you are i dont miss it at all  Elevate your feet when you can.
Well 1st day of summer & im cooking up here... 31C inside our loungeroom so outside would be about 32-33C So cant wait to swim hopefully towards the end of this week i'll be game. You have to wait till the bleeding/muck stops which every time it does it magically appears again just as i think dh & i can have cuddles possibly.7 weeks + without it is getting to me.
Well miss lily weighs just under 1.5kg now, they miss weighed her on monday she couldnt have lost & then gained 200g in 2 days & shes now in a open cot.... but her temp isnt stable so she may end up back in the crib yet...:fingerscrossed: she doesnt. She is on 1.5ml hrly for feeds but continously through a drip.Lachlan im going back for his weighs & cuddles at 3:30pm so will be interesting to see what he weighs now too.Hes far too unstable to move into a open cot just yet :( but hes on 3ml hrly feeds so getting up there with food finally. Will update after i get back from cuddles.

1.5 kilos that is great. Hopefully Lachlan is catching up
Lissy it wouldn't be nice! She is a verrrry large woman to begin with, I remember she couldn't do much toward the end her feet couldn't take it

MrsP – oooh…doesn’t sound pleasant at all….I hope the extra fibers and stuff will do the trick
Angela – Hubby and I really want to go again, I just hope it will be ok due to my age….both will definitely try…it is just a matter of how many cycles we can afford…it feel so unfair sometimes that money has to be the reason for if it will happen or not. We did five cycles before we succeeded and it took over 4 years of trying…..I will be 39 when bub is born…feels a bit sad…but we really would like to have two if it is possible…we might be considering putting two embryos in as well…hoping for twins..if I get two embryos (??!!??)to be transferred – I still got one little champion embryo in the freezer…so I will do everything in my power to try to succeed on the transfer…..probably after 9 – 12 months after bub is born if my body is back to normal…..
Lissy – I will go and get a wax in a few weeks…not a trip to Brazil though…..we got horrendous weather in Sydney today…just rain rain rain….first day of summer….but I think it fairly ok….as long as it not 40 C hot and I am getting uncomfortable I rather have a rainy day at the moment…
Pls – so much going on for you…must be exhausting…..do you have to travel far to see you little ones? It sounds like they improve bit by bit….
I started to take that iron supplement you were talking about a few weeks back…..prob feels a bit better..they will do another blood test soon to confirm it is not low still…..
Micca – good to be home….it is funny sometimes…you need a holiday after your holiday……
Forever – great news on the glucose test….. – daily intake of donuts cant be stopped!!!!!!
Bubba – holy crap 50cm…that is serious growth…..glad you will get some relief soon going to the hospital….what will/can you bring? Is there a tv there and so on….???
Fang – funny you should mention the hospital bag…I just ticked off my list of what I need to buy still…and as of today…It is all done…so just packing it down in my bag…yay
Zofar..awesome…good the get some rest before bub is born too I reckon……I will take sick leave the last 2 weeks…..so 2.5 weeks of work to go….yay
Petals – fantastic with the great gifts from your baby shower…I am having mine on Sunday and the plan was to go down to Clantarf beach/park and be there with everyone and everyones kids….weather forescast is not good so I probably need to do it at home now…….
Donna – well done to go out there and tell people….have you had any comments from people?
AFM – thanks everyone for liking my belly……probably good that the head is cut off….haha
I seen my mum last weekend and got lots of nice presents from relatives in Sweden…so very nice…especially from my grandmum…I so hope that she will be around in July when I go there next year…I love her to bits…..It is lovely to see my mum as everyone is saying…but just so you guys know…my mum lives in Australia…..so I see her very regularly…. I am daddy’s girl though…….. sounds bad, but I miss him like crazy. My mum moved her when I was 16…so she been here for 22 years…..
Really looking forward to the babyshower on Sunday…otherwise it is just like normal – a bit tired and uncomfortable – specially at night…really hard to get comfy now…
I am totally stuffed tonight - hubby is very sick with throwing up and diarrhea...so trying to look after him and not get his germs at the same time...
...been cooking fishgratin tonight (not that hubby will get any...!) and I am freezing in for when little bub is born...is anyone else planning to organize the freezer to be stocked up with ready to just warm up food????

Lachlan is really powering with his feeds thats a great sign that all is well... lets hope that he has gained some weight... and that his lungs remain fluid free...
Wow its hot up there...we have had maximums of around 12-14degrees the last 4 days and rain... so back to wearing all the winter clothes....
Ill blow some of our cool air up your way.
slp...so glad your OB appointment went well.... yay yay... you and I will be having a scan on the same day..
swedee.....oooooh sorry to hear DH has gastro...just wash those hands all the time and dont touch your mouth...!!!!
How lovely that you got some special pressies from sweden. I hope that your little bub is going to chat away in sweedish... at least skype is a wonderful tool for overseas relatives....
enjoy your baby shower on sunday.
MrsP........grrrrr for snottyman making your phone a biohazard...hate that so much...
Lissy.... great news on your OB check up..yay for bub in the correct position. 3.5kg is a nice healthy weight...woohoo ...
Bonny....... gosh it sure is hot over there on the west coast.... not like our cool weather....
sorry to hear that you have elephant feet...sigh... make sure you have enough protein in your diet and fluids...
petals...hope you are not having any troubles
Angela.... yep that crappy sleep must be contagious... how scary to tell people you are due in a month...
about the trying for number 2 Ill be doing it as soon as I can ..probably about 6 months... due to the body clock thing if my 6 frosties (2 FETs) fail....
I had a really crappy morning today..I just felt terrible..dizzy, headachy and just unwell.. sigh..my BP and sugar was good,.... But I still have some protein in the pee, so Im doing a 24hr urine to see how much protein..of course I have hardley peed today...despite drinking about 2litres..WTF!! it will probably come out all night...
Ive also got my 2hr GTT...I hope I can survive it as I run very low on sugars..today before lunch.. only a 3hr fast my sugar was only 3.9...which is really really low...babette must really be sucking all the food up. So Ive got 20mins left before my fast starts..sigh I got home late from work as well so I have not had time to spread my snacks out... oh well we will just have to wait and see...
Hi Girls,
A quick one from me.... all of you ladies with swelling, are your OB's really concerned? Have they tested you for pre eclapsia? I went to my OB this week and have a little bit of swelling round my ankles, and told her I have had flashing lights in my eyes twice. My blood pressure is still low, but she freaked out and forced me to either stop work NOW, or reduce my hours dramatically over the next two weeks. I was a bit shocked, but am now excited that I will only be working every second day from now on. I think she (and I!!) was freaked out because I had also put on 3kg in 4 weeks.. holy moly! Has anyone heard of having other signs of pre-eclapsia with low BP? She said she doesn't trust preggie bod's because the BP can just shoot up suddenly... better not!!
Better head off to work, just wanted to see if your OB's had mentioned anything similar to you.
Have a great day ladies! x

morning....
Zofar - I got rather bad swelling of feet and my hand are swollen and achy in the morning but my doc hasn't been concerned at all due to low blood pressure?????
But as of what I read if you get those flashing lights and if your face get swollen it is a concern but usually with high blood pressure....i suppose you better check your blood pressure regularly to be on the safe side....all the best

Morning,
Swede - Your Mum is pretty much an Aussie :) How long have you lived here for?
Hope DH gets better soon and you don't catch it.
slp - Are you on FB? If so you could try selling your MCN's on the 'i love MCN's buy and sell' page.
Micca - You look after yourself, hope the GTT test is all ok.
Zofar - Sounds like your OB is just taking some precautions. Hopefully it doesn't turn into Pre-eclampsia. Take care and rest up as much as you can anyway.
AFM - sleeeeepy, crappy sleep as per usual. I'm really over work now just can't be stuffed anymore *sigh*
hi everyone.
zofar....sounds like your OB is very conservative... I had flashing lights on tuesday with normal BP and sugar and felt awful. My OB told me its very common for women to get migraines in pregnancy and often have the pre aura of migraines..ie flashing lights in the vision without developing the migraine
But the best thing to check for pre-eclampsia is regular BP and a 24hr urine collection for protein.
Which is exactly what I am doing at the moment...as I have had a trace of protein in my pee all pregnancy and my risks for pre-eclampsia are very high...familial, age, donor sperm.
maybe ask her about doing a 24hr urine collection to check on your protein which is the early sign of eclampsia.
lissy.... so understand about being over work. Although one of my clients gave me some lovely baby clothes yesterday which made me feel a little special...lol..
Well Im sitting in the path lab having my 2hr glucose test...sigh.... the drink was not too bad ..like fizzy lemonade..but so sweet....oh and I have my trusty container of pee next to me...as my pee test does not end until 1pm..lol..lol
I feel not so good as I had a terrible sleep last night.... up every hour peeing then could not get to sleep for an hour at around 2am (again!!!)...sigh.... On top of that Im also doing a 24hr wee collection to check protein in my urine..so there was no half sleep fumbles to the toliet for me...lol..lol..so Im pretty tired.
I felt terrible yesterday morning...so headachy. fatigued, nauseous..I could not get going at all so ended up running late all day.
Other than that Im on days off for the next 4 days...woohoo.... and all Im going to do is play with babettes clothes watch DVDs and pee...lol...at least the weather is cool and rainy... blankie...here I come....
hope everyone is happy....xxxxxx

Hi ladies, just a question from a lurker :)
I just had my 20-week scan and bubs is in a frank breech position -- bottom first, feet touching nose (how I miss that kind of flexibility!). The stats I've found say that about 30% of babies are breech at 20 weeks, but that all but 3% have shifted to head down by delivery, so the vast majority get themselves turned around in time.
Sooo ... I'm just wondering if any of you have started out with a breech bub at 20 weeks and seen him/her turn? I'm not too worried about it for myself at this point; more just curious. TIA :)
Lissy Loo
02-12-2010, 10:50
Micca - You really need this 4 day rest so make the most of it. I really liked the Glucose drink actually. Have fun weeing alllllll the way home:laughing:
Kim - I wouldn't have a clue, baby has so much room at 20 weeks that they can move any which way. I wasn't told what position mine was in at 20 weeks, just told everything was normal. I haven't had any scans since then. Amy at FG told me that she had a client who's baby was head down and then moved into a breech positon at 40 weeks, how the hell they can do that is beyond me. Have you still been Acuing? I saw Peter the other day as Amy has been away sick.
angelanathan
02-12-2010, 11:11
Kim,
At 20 week scan my baby was lying across my belly, he is not head down now.
I think yours will turn and not too worry.
You can usually work out where they are by where the kicks are, my kicks are on my right side so he is head down back along my left side and feet on my right.
Good luck
KimInMellie
02-12-2010, 11:12
Lissy, yes I'm still seeing Amy. I have an appointment this morning (she's so great :) ), and I'll definitely be bringing this up. I think I know exactly when bub switched positions, b/c about a week ago in bed it felt like bub was swimming laps & then a did somersault-like move at the end of the pool! lol and then the next morning my bump was a different shape, higher up in my belly IYKWIM.
ETA: Thanks Angela, I'll be on the lookout for shifting kicks!

Hi everyone I know I have been a bit slack in posting of late but I am just not coping well at the moment. I am sore from top to toe now:crying: I have hardly stopped crying this morning. I have so much to do no time to do it and no energy either!! We are 28weeks today but I don't think I will make it to 35weeks anymore. I am missing my mummy at the moment she has gone on a holiday now so she can be here to look after DD when DP is working. Just need a mum hug and I know she would help me get stuff done that needs doing. DP is working all the hours she can so we can get some more money behind us for when she takes time off work as she hasn't been at her job for long enough yet for holidays
I hope everyone is doing much better then me. I do read all your posts. Keep growing those bubbas and Pls glad your 2 are doing better this week.

Thye will place her feeding tube down her nose later today if she's coping ok then she cant pull the thing out as easy & she can suck her dummy easier & .... get ready for the (.)(.) Staff arent wrong when they say once they hit the 1.4kg mark the girls seem to take off.Well going to hit the lounge for 1 hr before next express session.Suddenly scared as i only just have enough milk supply for both at the moment & need to boost it something horrid. So popping more fenugreek tabs (5 daily/ max limit) which have worked straight away thankfully & also seeing the dr next wed for Maxolon to help boost it too. Also uploaded more photos of lily in her new bed but she still had the hi-flo tube on her face then... more photos to take now.

Lissy, eeewww I can't believe you liked the Glucose drink! I thought it tasted like that lime solo. Disgusting.
Micca, Did they do a pee test as part of your GD test? I only had 3 BT's, no pee?
Pls, Great news on Lily. Lets hope lachlan catches up soon too.
Bubba, I really feel for you. I am getting over been pregnant but I feel like I can't feel like that because how hard it has been to get here. But.. my skin really hurts with how much it is stretching, my belly aches from growing pains, I am still throwing up every day from indigestion so I can only imagine how tough you are doing it. :hugs:
Well we had a scare last night which led to a dash to the hospital. I went to the toilet to find blood. Not red but dark brown. I rang the midwife and when I combined that with the fact that our little man had been really quiet they told me to come straight in. When we got there they put me into a birth suite and I just lost it. I could hardly speak as I was trying to get the words out that I shouldn't be here yet. I did think of you Pls and just how scared you must have been. Anyway, they were fantastic, hooked me up to monitor bubs heart rates are all good. Took awhile to find our boys which sent me into another meltdown but then we heard that beautiful sound. So apparently just one of those things and just have to take it a bit easier. Only 2 more weeks of work but have told then I want to step back a lot over that time and they were fine. Lissy, I can tell you that I am so happy in our hospital choice and just felt so looked after last night.
plsjust...woohoo for lily the star :smiliedance:, the pics look great, so nice for her to be stepped down from NICU to high dependancy... now its lachlans turn..!!!
petals...yay for you being home..I know that feeling...!!!! Ive finally got home as well...sigh.... enjoy your bed tonight..I hope you get a good nights sleep.... I know how you are feeling...after my scare last week its made me think again about how ready I am...
Bubba..... you really sound like you have hit the wall... Ill send you a mummy hug...:hugs:. hang in there....every day with the 3 amigos is a milstone.... you can do it... not long now until you can rest up.:hugs::hugs:
Kim.... bubs will turn and twist until about week 30-32 where they settle into their final position. So the position at the scan means nothing. My babette flips and turns all the time..
well Ive had a long day...felt terrible with the glucose tolerance test..I measured my sugar at home and it was 7.9 which would be a fail on the test... so Im a bit nervous..not sure how I can be predominantly hyperglycemic and then read high on the test... but at least it will not change my diet at all which is predominantly low GI foods....so Ill find out results tomorrow.... mmmm better eat that hazelnut icecream tonight..
My 24hr pee collection is finished as well... it is a difficult exercise trying to hold a container in the right spot with a bump in the way...lol...
So of course I only just managed to drive home (80min) without needing a very desperate wee...sigh.
Since home Ive just crashed on the couch and slept.. just eaten lunch at 430pm as I felt so bad....probably mainly because of the crappy sleep last night...
rock on the couch for the next few days.
having a nice steak for dinner with salad greens out of my garden...yummo...
forever......... oooooh I so feel for you after having the same problem last week,... its horrible when that happens it really takes away your pregnancy mojo. Im glad you and the twins are ok...take it easy... I must say I wish I could stop work to give my body time to recoup....
oh and I had a pee with my GTT ... no glucose in it though...
take it easy and Im sure it will all be fine... join me and blankie on the couch this weekend....
:hugs:

Forever - so glad that the bubs were OK. Sounds like you had a bit of a scare. Take care of yourself and the littleones
Pls - so glad to hear Lily is going so well. How has Lachlan been? Still going well too I hope
Kim - I can feel my bub kick up the top and then in half an hour kick me in the kaslopas so they are flopping around quite freely in there
Bonny - Big hugs to you. Hope you settle and start to feel a bit better
Micca - I have to have a GTT test in a few weeks too. Not looking forward to it, but like you my diet is very good so not much will change even if it does come back with a bad result.
Hi to everyone else as well
AFM - well I did and interview with New Idea today about DS and my story and to try and get some more donors on board for the fertility clinics around Australia. I was contacted after one of the journalists saw the Sunday Mail article and asked if I would be interested in telling my story to New Idea.... needless to say I was really pleasently surprised and I thought it would be a great oportunity to try and get some more sperm and egg donors.
Anyway, it is looking at being published in the first week of Janauary and Danny and I had our big photoshoot today too. Was fun but I can see why models won't get out of bed for less than $10K (no I did not get paid ANYTHING like that :D)
My sister (who I live with) also is getting a new car too so we had a test drive of the new "familiy" car today - Holden Captiva and it was brilliant. She will hopefully get that before Xmas and then I get her Commodore... very exciting
Also, off to Gladstone to visit my brother and his family before xmas so that is going to be a long drive tomorrow. I need a nap so bad right now.
Donna wouldn't it be nice to get paid that haha.
Micca I am laughing at the mental image of trying to pee in a jar, I lost my fanny a few weeks ago and don't know how I am meant to provide samples to my ob anymore lol good luck with your test
Forever how scary!! So glad both bubs are doing well. Take it easy
Pls that is fantastic!!!!! I Hope little lachlan isn't too far behind
petals what a drive! Early labour freaks me out, I have put it in my head that she might come after 35 weeks. I plan to pick up my laybuy at 35 weeks though LOL
Bubba :hugs::hugs:I hope they stay in there, can anyone else help you out?
Kim I can't remember how baby was at 20 weeks. Don't slouch back, lean forward and get a fit ball, thats what i was told!
Nothing new to add, still so stuck on a baby name. Umming and ahhing over Ariana
I need to ge tmy house pest controlled. Thoughts? I thought I could do it in the morning and just leave the house all day

Mrsp- dont stress over a name ,one will come to you for sure once you see her..
Forever-big :hugs: i know exactly how you would have felt with the scare... it frightens the hell out of ya.I remember once i rung the birth suite i was ok till i got to the birth suite door & more blood came out & so i lost it.. couldnt walk just cried.Glad all ok,try to take it as easy as you can.... wouldnt wish what we went through & still are, on anyone..
Bubba- just think every day there in their is 1 less day in NICU or SPECIAL CARE & away from home, its hard but so worth it when you see all the bubs in hosp
Donna- lachlan still doing ok although theres talk he has a enlarged heart & his valves arent shutting off... their biding time before deciding what to do..
Micca- your rest on the lounge in the cool weather sounds lovely... i hate that glucose drink YUKKO
The nurses are funny at NICU theyve got so used ot us they joke with us constantly.I said today i dont want to be evicted to special care eventually as weve got so used to the ladies in NICU.Dh even asked if we can still visit & wave form the other end of the corridor LOL
well expressing time again :hair: & as usual dinner also ready lol ive learnt to multi task & express while eating dinner(chop it up in bite size peices beforehand) but when mum rings i cant take on a 3rd thing lol i'll do well when there home practising already..:D
got my glucose test results....
I passed ...YAY YAY YAY .... buy the skin of my chinny chin chin....but still a pass...woohoo
:yelclap::yelclap:
Micca that is fantastic!!!!
Pls I am verrry indecisive. If I don't have a name picked or a couple to choose from she will have NO name lol.

Hiya ladies,
Mrs P - Hopefully you are feeling better now. cant believe that guy would use your phone when he was sick, especially knowing you were pregnant!! grrr.
Pls - wow so glad LL doing well, and Lily on just air now. You guys must be stoked. Good work on the multi-tasking...you will need that big time when they come home too.
swede - 2.5 wks left of work, aww Im jealous. Ive still got about 12 weeks of work to go! At least with xmas in the middle it should break things up.
slp - Im glad everything went well at your scan!!
micca - I hadnt heard of upping protein to reduce sweeling. But then again, there is a lot I havent heard of  Hey Congrats on passing your GTT!! Awesome news. Ive got mine in a few weeks and a bit nervous too. Enjoy your 4 days off.
angela - I'll definitely be going back for #2 after this bubs, and probably within a year of her being born if possible. Mainly because we have no idea how long it will take, if at all. But if we had all our dreams come true we would love 2 or 3 kiddies!
zofar - It wouldnt be such a bad thing being told to finish work now! The you can just relax as much as possible. Ive been getting bad swelling but havent seen the obs yet to mention it. Mind you, I am a long way behind you yet, only 24wks.
lissy - I hear you on the crappy sleeps. I havent had a good sleep in months. Went to bed at half 9 last night and had already woken up 4 times by 1am. So annoying.
Bubba - :hugs::hugs:hang in there. We are all giving you cyber hugs, and I know it doesnt make up for mummy hugs...but we are all here supporting you.
petals - have fun unwrapping all the pressies, how exciting! So your friends bub came at 35 weeks just normally...I always seem to have it in my head that bubs wont be here until 40 weeks, but I guess they can come at anytime at all hey, and best to be prepared. I want some time off work before birth, so hopefully bubs wont be too early!
forever - Sorry you had an awful scare last night, it must have been terrifying. I remember how I felt at 12 wks starting to bleed and rushing to the emergency...I can imagine something happening now would be even more terrifying. Im so glad you and the babies are ok.
Donna - Hey good work on the New Idea interview and photoshoot...you are famous :D I'll be keeping my eye open in January to pick up a copy.
 to anyone Ive missed.
afm - I swear Ive put on heaps of extra weight with all the food I can't poo out :crying: soooo frustrating. I feel rotten whinging when I think of everything it took to fall preggers. When doing all the ivf I kept saying to DH Id love to have m/s, Id love to be constipated, Id love to have big fat swollen ankles...just to be blessed with a baby. But boy...I could do without the blockages :o
Hi Girls!
Swede, have fun at your baby shower! I hope your DH is better too and you don't catch it. That sounds nasty! I'm planning on filling up our freezer with bolognaise, chilli con and I'll have to think of some more. I think its a great idea. Anything to make it easier for ourselves hey!
Micca, hope you are feeling better after that dreaded GTT. Fowl stuff that is, but fantastic news you are in the clear!! Woo hoo! Are you testing your own pee for protein? I had that test done last week and haven't heard from my OB and she said she would call me if it protein was present. Thanks for putting my mind at ease re the stars too. I think my OB is being cautious too. She did say to me that she doesn't think I know how to wind down so I think this may be her way of forcing me in case i need to have a c-section a bit earlier if this placenta doesn't move its *** up higher. I'm really quite thankful to be going part time next week as I am stuffed!!
Lissy, I hear ya re the sleeping AND work! :) Not long to go now. Have you been driving in instead of the train?
Kim, at 20 weeks, my bub was breech, then four weeks ago she turned the right way, then this week, her head is down, bum to the right and she's having a wee stretch of her legs to the left. I wouldn't be worried at all. I asked the midwife in our antenatal classes when they should be the right way round and she said not until 32 to 34 weeks.
Bubba, :hugs::hugs:for you... how long until your mum comes back? Can the stuff that needs doing wait until she comes back?
Petals, glad you are home safely. That is one massive drive! Is so exciting going through all your pressies. I've still got all of ours spread out to just look at! I love them all.
Pls, yippeee for Lily, that is beautiful!! Such good news.:):)
Forever, that is so terrifying that you had to go through that, but fabulous to hear that everything turned out alright!!
Donna, well done raising the need for donors. That is such a kind thing to do. Have fun in Gladstone!
MrsP, Maybe just have a few names up your sleeve and when you see your precious little girl make a choice then? Having said that I need to have it all sorted now too! Must mention it to DH again... we were happy with our choice on Sunday, so better make sure he hasn't changed his mind :)
We have in laws coming up for the weekend, so have madly been doing housework. Sigh. Because of this we had takeaway thai curry for dinner and mine was quite spicy. Since then Blobina has been going nutso, hope I haven't burnt her! :) Better get back into it. Kitchen floors to go!
Have a great weekend ladies!!

Morning Ladies!
Thank goodness its friday my poor hubby is so tired!
Pls - I am so glad to hear the bubs are doing better and good on Lily and hope Lauchlan catches up soon!
Forever - You poor thing fingers crossed this is the last scare for you!
Micca :yelclap: on passing the Glucose test its a good feeling! But gee that makes me made I passed the test with flying colours and they still made me do it twice and wanted me to do the 2 hr ones!
Donna - You are famous! I have added a note to my calander to buy it! And bug yay on the new car we are hoping to get a Dodge Nitro mid next year so I cant wait!
Bonny - Yep bubs just decided it was ready to come out! Perfectly healthy and she is going home tomorrow!
Mrs P - I just had our house done (a month ago) as well and the company that did it bugology were very good everything they used was safe for me and our dogs! Love Ariana its a great name, luckily for us names were easy girls was harder than boys but hubby has had the boys picked out before we met so I had no choice!
AFM - I am spending the day unpacking all the lovely gifts from the baby shower and also washing all jacks clothes in preparation for packing does anyone know of a list of bubs clothes ect to take to hosiptal?
Petals we used bugology at our old house! I am going to get it done before baby arrives, I need to give the house a good clean first get rid of all cobwebs and bugs in the cornices etc then hopefully the bugs will stop hanging around them.
Zofar I gave up spicy food, my bum didn't like it the next day :p
Bonny you can complain about constipation. MS is just MS but blockages are bad and need to be released. I didn't go yesterday, I was SOOOOO gassy though last night, I could have filled up 10 balloons!
plsjust1more

Morning yahh for friday.... the weeks are flying by..
Mrsp- im so gassy after the ceasar.... its embarrassing at times
Petals- how exciting unpacking & washing all the bits.My hospital says pack 3-4 jumpsuits for bubs & singlets.
Zofar-enjoy your in laws... & a clean house lol
Bonny- nothing worse then being blocked... thats my life story untill now.. im going daily but worked out its the coloxyl & fenegreek so have to cut back coloxyl for a little while while i boost my milk.
Lissy- another week down for you at work, does that mean 2 wks left??
Lily went back on hi flo late yesterday she was having too many brady's & low de-sats off it but shes on minimal flo so they'll give her a little bit longer on it.Dh had a cuddle last night of her cause now shes in a open cot its alot easier to just pick her up & cuddle her.Dh has only had 1 cuddle of each so is taking the wk end off to bond with them both & have lots of cuddles. Its a bit hard when the nurses only like them cuddled when they come out to get weighed & thats on mon,wed & fri so dh misses out all the time.So weigh in day today, see how much more these munchkins are growing, can finally see lachlan getting bigger now hes not filling out alot just getting bigger:yes: They put him on continous feeds yesterday too cause his gut was playing up a bit as well but hes still on 4ml hrly & lily 3hrly. They pulled out lily's short long line as it was leaking & misplaced itself so she has another canula back in her hand again... drives her batty as she cant suck fingers when shes got things hanging off it & giant boards to keep the hand straight lol will update later with their weights.
Have a great friday ladies... must run & have some breaky before expressing & rushing to hosp again, least at 8:20am you can still park at the hospital, reasonably close too.
Morning all,
Pls - :santa:has come early for Lily, now just need Lauchlan to pick up his pressy from the :xmastree:. You should be so proud of them they have come a long way in the 5 short weeks they have been with you. Take it easy.
Micca - its a weekend of rest and couch for you. You need to renew your energy so lots of good food as well. So happy your GTT test came back all clear.
Forever - Sorry to hear of your scare, happy and excited that all is ok with the bubbas. Good idea to step back a bit with work, hope your feeling good.
Zofar - ive been really lucky this time round, the only thing that has swollen is my (.)(.)'s and belly. But still going on sick leave from xmas, both the boys were early so should give me 4-6 weeks befor Choochie arrives.
Petals - so glad you made it home from your parents ok. 7 hours is such a long drive, your a much better person than i am cas 2 hours drive is my limit. lol.
Donna - :smiliedance: for bringing to light the need of donners both for eggs and sperm. I think im past my used by date at 39 even though my eggs are good, otherwise i would seriously consider donating. Your strength and courage to do this is amazing. I will be lining up to by the New Idea when its published.
Lissy - how you doing hope all is well.
Sorry thats as far as i can go back, so no more personals. Hope everyone else is ok and having good days.
AFM - Been very tired and indegestion has struck hard. Saw Ob on Wednesday and told me to take Zantac 2 times a day. not happy about it but it seems to be working. At least im not feeling sick all day and my tummy seems to be settled a lot more. GTT test results were good but my iron is down and bordering on anemic so now have to take iron tabs as well :o. I feel like i rattle some nights
2 blackmore pregnancy and brestfeeding
2 folic acid
2 thiroid tablets
1 iron
1 Zantac morning and night
Anyone else taking heaps of medication?
Also feeling a bit down cas new ob didnt give me a peak at Chooch this week, im so used to having an US at every visit i was kinda lost not getting a look in. I will have to make sure i get one next visit. Is anyone else getting really hot all the time, i seem to be boiling most of the time and the rest of the family are just comfortable. Ok enough from me ive winged enough.

Zofar - Got the train this week but told DH we are driving from next week for the last 2. at burning blobina with Thai
Petals - I started a thread called Hospital bag or something like that in here, it has some good tips so go and check that out :)

Petals - here is the link to the thread i was talking about
http://www.bubhub.com.au/community/forums/showthread.php?t=377249 hope this works
Pls shame your dh doesn't get to have more cuddles :(
Mcshad thats a lot of pills, my pill days are over I just take 1 aspirin 1 elevit and 1 pregnancy omega 3 now. Make sure you eat lots of fibre those iron tablets can make you constipated. I had REALLY bad indigestion last night :( Can you ask your ob to give you a scan. My ob always has a quick peak
Lissy you are still on a few tablets there.
Mrs P - my old ob always did a quick scan, but because he is sick my new ob didnt. Im still hoping my old ob will be back for the delivery.
Lissy - I think i will need to check out that link for the Hospital bag as well.
mcshad..... my pills..
2 blackmores breastfeeding+pregnancy
1 blackmores i-folic
1 ferrograd---- and they make me go !!! ...lol
1 magnesium
1 vit D
1 calcium
1-2 fish oil
a zinc and vit C when I remember
I guess we dont loose our ivf vitamin habits...
Donna....cant wait for that article lets hope that it is lovely and the writer is able to portray the plight of those of us whom need donor sperm or eggs.
plsjust.... yay for LL doing so well... Lily is a real star. Now sending good wishes to lachlan for his heart and PDA.
lissy....oooh that sounds like a thread worth looking into..I'll check it out.... hope you can offer your family lots of support for the funeral.
MrsP..... so you have a new name then....farty farty boom baah...
Zofar........can you come and clean my house!!!... ive got projects half completed everywhere...TAX is the main one today so I get my dining table back..!!!! I have read that the food we eat adds a flavour to the amnionic fluid and breastmilk... so if you like garlic it tends to have a garlic taste..lol..
Im not testing my own pee but I have had a few urines sent off since pregnant and my OB does one as part of the antenatal screen...so Ive known about the protein from the start... I should get my 24hr results back today.
Petals...what a lovely thing to do today...Im going to try and do the same thing and unpack all the lovely stuff I got from NZ...as well as finish my need to get list.
well I am knacked and over this pee ALLLL night thing last night I peed...
12pm 1am,2am,3am,420am,5am,530am,6am,720am.
Now just WTF is that !!!!!! and it was all reasonable amounts..sigh. On top of that I had fluid restricted from about 5pm.... geesh enough already,,mummy needs some sleep.... no wonder I have no swelling... I think I dont have enough fluid left... and the really annoying thing is that during the day I dont pee much at all even though Im drinking like mad..hello body...get it together..!!!
So Im exhausted and peeved...just thankful I dont have to work today... sigh I hope I can get at least one job done...:)

Micca, totally understand about the peeing, although mine isn't as bad.
I go at 9.30pm when i go to bed then around 12.00am then around 2am then again at 3.30am then when i wake which is around 8.30am
I am hiring a baby capsule from Qld Ambulance is anyone else doing that?
Im not sure when to book it?
They say 2 weeks before due date but hmm just don't know as its christmas time etc
Any thoughts?
Bubs not moving much today, i hate those days.
angela...hate those days when they are quiet... I would probably book the capsule early because of christmas...maybe phone them and ask. Ive got a convertable carseat so not getting a capsule.
well Ive just finished sorting all the clothes babette has got from NZ...she is one spoilt little girl.... most of it is pretty practical stuff although Ive a few cute outfits....
mummy just cant stop buying things...lol..lol....
Ill probably wash them over christmas.
I attached photos of the newborn outfits Ive been given and of my favourite 9month outfits.,..
oh and Ive put up my 28 week belly shot on my profile,...lol..
gosh everyone is very quiet today....
I have done nothing today...lol...
I went and got the mail and was rewarded with about $6000 bills..sigh...hate that at christmas....
My girfriend brought a huge suitcase of clothes from her daughter around... some of them are great others a bit stained...so I will sort and soak and see what I can use....
must do some post its to remind me what jobs I have to do...

Hi there...
Micca - so cute clothes!!!!! Your bump is so tiny still...looking great though....lucky thing.....;)
Bloody night time pee....sometimes it is horrendous...but somehow I think it just is preparing us to get up at night when little bub is born
Angela - I'm not sure..I am getting a capsule from a friend.....
Petals - great stuff re roll call....maybe we should try to allocate somebody to give details for when we going to hospital etc to announce when bub is born (even if it is just through a sms or something????!!!) ....it was so good that Emma helped Pls and we all got the updates from that.....
forever - you poor thing...:hugs:..that would have been so scary...glad all worked out ok
Lissy - I been here since 1997
Bonny - I agree with you...I would never in my mind would have thought to complain when I finally where pregnant..but still...I am....it can be pretty hard a times.....
pls - glad hubby could have cuddle for a bit...hopefully more of that coming up.....
As you know..hubby had really bad gastro on Wednesday and after I got to work yesterday I felt really uncomfortable and uneasy and I just couldn't stop crying feeling so bad...but at that point nothing was really wrong with me...until about 9.45.....almost poo my self (sorry TMI)
and I just went home and in about 15 minutes I started throwing up like crazy and to be honest...yesterday was one of the toughest days in my hole life.......sitting on the toilet, running like a tap from behind with a bucket in front of me spewing...going back to bed for 15-20 minutes and do it all again ....it went on from 10.30 in the morning until 7 at night......horrendous....one of the hardest part was getting out of bed....the stomach was just so sore and it was so uncomfortable....it was just cramping up so badly - hubby took last night off to help me...he had to ring the midwife to check what to do with me...if it would have continued on for a couple of more hours I would have had to get a drip...but thank god it stopped...
...but today I just been in bed all day and just sipping gatorade...feeling stuffed and worn out....
Little bub is moving around a lot today which is a relief....felt a bit scared that I was hurting him/her
swedee....ooooh you poor thing, what a horrible day... so glad you are feeling much better...you poor thing.... hydralyte is the best rehydration solution ...
and when you feel like eating a banana sandwich with white bread does wonders for a poor stressed system.
Yeah those clothes are sooo cute especially the newborn ones...
Hmm Im glad Im a compact model.. with the bump cause it would certainly make working harder when I get bigger...:)
I so understand about the cramping in the tummy it can be very uncomfortable with the braxton hicks...
this afternoon Ive had pubic pain..sort of burny like on both sides... no contractions though..just uncomfortable..might take some panadol later, not sure what it is from ...cant remember doing anything too strenuous but sometimes you just never know...
lol..lol..

Sweede- ohhh gross you poor buggar, would have been horrible at the best of times let alone pregnant.
Micca- we were all quiet so you would relax today lol:laughing:
Well i have even more great news.... lily now weighs 1653g less then 1kg & get feeding sorted & she'll be home. Both are on 5.5mls hrly & my stored milk supply dwindling very quickly now... am scared as i dont have enough to feed both when on full proper feeds.Lachlan doing better tonight but today he had to be bagged twice as he de-sat'd wayyyy to low because of his heart :( was hard to watch when hugging lily too, kinda helpless but was a good distraction i guess.Well there both next in line to be downgraded to "special care" which is good but also sad... im goin to miss all our nurses weve come to love. So all in all another great day....:D

Morning girls,
It was so hot last night, really struggles to get a good nights sleep. My hands and feet felt tight and i was just uncomfortable, ahhh looking forward to being heavily pregnant in Summer NOT:laughing:
Swede - oh you poor thing, hope you feel better soon x
Micca - I have a white board with a list of things i want done, just need to motivate DH to do alot of the outside stuff, he does things but in his own time which is really bugging me right now.
Angela - we are using a convertable Car Seat rather than a capsule. Not sure about hiring
Well we had my Grumps' funeral yesterday, it was very sad but really nice. I've had enough of Grandparents passing away for now thanks, that's 2 this year from either side.
Have a good weekend girls
Good Morning Girls!!
I'm on call this morning, so an early start for me... not that it matters, sleeping past 6am just doesn't seem to happen anymore.
Bonny, I would let your OB know about the swelling. They are pretty on to it though, mine seems to be like a friggin psychic sometimes and even noticed my rings were a bit tighter than two weeks ago! She freaks me out :).
MrsP, I hear you re the spicy food!! Was scared I wouldn't make it on the bus! But all was good. DH wanted to go for Indian last night??! I said, no way! Ended up with fish and chips... my god I have been unhealthy this week. Anymore luck with names? Hope that gas and indigestion is better.
Pls, my goodness, so much happens in your day. That is fantastic to hear that Lily is doing so well... one more kilo, come on little girl! I'm not sure of the terminology with what Lachlan is going through, but imagine it would be so extremely hard on you seeing him in distress.:hugs: You and your lovely DH won't know yourselves once they are both bigger and back home with you. Can they do anything for your milk supplies? (I'm very much a novice here).
McShad, well done with the lack of swelling! Glad that the zantac helps your indigestion. That is just so excruciatingly painful. Good news on the GTT too. Yeah I'm on low dose asprin, thyroid tabs, fish oil, elevit, calcium... its a full on meal! Do you have any other scans booked in with an ultrasound clinic? My OB doesn't tend to do scans everytime either. Just the dopler.
Lissy, I hope your grumps funeral went as well as can be. :hugs:
Micca, do you need food on top of those vitamins?? Holy moly that is a lot! I hear ya with the ferrograd, they make me go too... and believe me I don't need help in that department!! Quite the opposite. Thankfully I haven't needed them in pregnancy. Great tum shot by the way, you are really compact, must have good tum muscles! Wow, I must think of that amniotic fluid being flavoured by what I eat... this week it would taste like chilli, chocolate, hot chips oh and some baby spinach on the side :). Today is a new day to be healthy! What is with all that peeing??? How exhausting!! Hope you didn't have that again last night.
Angela, I'm going with QLD ambulance and they said to book in four weeks before... so I had better organise that too!
Swede!! You did have a rough trot, I hope you are feeling much better today and those bugs have left your house for good! Might take you a few days of relaxation to recover from that. Good to hear bubs is still moving around.
Well no call outs so far.. thank goodness! Inlaws came last night and bought lots of things for blobina, lots of lovely little outfits, a cute teddy bear and some home made knitted stuff which was beautiful. Me and DH even got some pressies which was nice too :). So many presents this week, we are feeling very spoilt!
Have a great weekend lovely ladies, its bloomin raining STILL in brissa.
See you!

Good morning ladies...
Pls...:yelclap: yay for little Lily....that is just great news....I hope Lachlan will catch up very shortly..
Lissy - you poor thing...funerals is so hard, I am glad it was a good send off....:hugs::hugs::hugs:
zofar -you are on Call?? What do you do for work?
I just been out for a little walk with the dog...it was a bit hard, had to turn around and go home - felt dizzy and sick....feeling better now after eating some brekkie..
weighed myself this morning...lost 2.5 kg in this ordeal..probably mostly fluid...my feet looks normal - so no swelling at all - I am sure it will come back soon
Anyway - i just want to wish everyone a great weekend....take care all of you...:hugs:

Zofar- ohhhh lala presents are always good & exciting when least expected.Yes im off to the dr's on wed for 6 wk check up & to get maxolon prescription (for nausea) it helps to boost your milk supply quickly supposedly.Enjoy your wk end with the relo's
Lissy- ohhh glad yesterday went well as sad as it would be... not a big fan of funerals myself either. yes youve had more then your share of them with g/parents so enough already heavens above leave lissy with some pls.
Well must express 2 hrly today to see if i can boost this milk... im absolutley pooping my pants about it.The 5 daily fenugreek tabs have helped a little with some expressing but still not enough for these munchkins.Last night the pair of them just constantly poo'd... 4 weeks of poo coming out now there on so much milk lol was gross but so funny... dh nearly died & was in the corner nearly vomitting & while i couldnt stop laughing lachlan shot more all over the inside of his cot... so UH -OH nurse we need a bed change.Poor bubba his incubator smelt. We joked no wonder he doesnt want to breath,he doesnt want to smell it.Basically there drinking about 264ml p/day & im expressing approx 180mls p/day so falls short about 84mls which is only 2 more expressing sessions which im doing 7 now, so 9 seems out of the question... how the blazers do i fit in 9??? so need more quantity at each express. Well talk of the devil there goes my express alarm better run.... have a great morning ladies
Pls you are doing such a good job expressing. Have you googled natural ways to increase your supply, I read something once about lactation cookies? Probably nothing better than what your taking though
Swedeendie Did you go walking without any food in your belly?
Zofar I am the same in the food department, most of my weight gain is due ot ice cream chips and chocolate :( On the name front we are still at Ariana. I am just going to go on more websites and see what myoptions are, she won't have a name until she is born.. I'm in hospital for 4 days so hopefully she will have one before we leave
Angela I would want one more than 2 weeks before... just in case! We bought a capsule I figured we plan on having more so it will get used and it attaches to my pram. Go do some cleaning, baby girl moved heaps yesterday while I was cleaning lol
My feet are incredibly sore from yesterday. 5 hours of antenatal classes today and the same tomorrow. Hopefully I learn something new
wow you gals are chatty this morning.
plsjust...woohoo on the increasing weights...wow they are just growing so fast. Lets hope lachlan settles in the next week. Im sure with the increased freq of breast pumping your supply will increase...go LL
MrsP...wow those are long intensive antenatal classes...dont think I could actually concentrate that long...I love your diet ..lol.. if it makes you feel better I started dinner with a bowl of icecream last night...lol..lol..then had cheese on toast..lol...
swedee... great that you feel better ... ooooh that walk sounds a little hard... remember you will still be dehydrated and it will take a few days to catch up ....
zofar....lol I laugh at your flavoured amniotic fluid...so blobina will be able to eat anything...lol... I had chili yesterday which I love....so babettes probably hot footing it in there.....
I think Im just compact because of my tall stature...cause my tummy muscles are absolute crap... never a wiff of a situp have I done..lol...
mind you I might explode in 2-3 weeks...lol...
Wow you are so lucky with all your lovely pressies... when I went to stay with my parents in NZ the only gift I got was a $20 outfit that my mother bought while shopping...I so dont get that... especially when they are so excited and I was oooohing and aaahing over everything...on top of that they both work and are very financially secure... it sort of upset me a little... but these are the same parents that forget birthdays and christmases...I sort of hoped that babette might change that..as they buy lots of gifts for their other 2 grandchildren... I so dont understand them :hair:
Lissy.... glad you got through the funeral.. I really hate going to them as well....when my grandfather died his wife insisted he lie in the coffin in the lounge for 2 days for viewing...it was horrible..my cousin and I could not stand it and went shopping most of the day...
well I managed the best nights sleep for a while...I still peed at 1am, 3:30, 5am.... but slept to 9am...wow what a difference 3 pees make to 2000 lol..lol...
Babette decided that she was going for the full body stretch this morning... I felt like my uterus was going to explode and some alien burst out...it was not pleasant...some nudging and thankfully she stopped it.... lets hope she is a little more active today since mummy is better...
My BFF dropped all her daughters baby clothes off yesterday...they are all 10years old and the difference in fabrics is really noticable...they are also pretty heavily stained....so I have been going though and sorting them all and soaking all the white ones to see if the stains will settle... she even had a baby dior suit that she had been given...woohoo haute couture for babette... so today there is a drying rack full of cute baby clothes...oooooooh.... at least they will be great daycare wear...especially for winter when poor babette will be 5 days a week.
anyway got to do the tax today...isnt that what I said yesterday...lol...
have a great saturday...xxx

Swede, You poor thing. That sounds horrible. Things like that leave you feeling really exhausted so make sure you rest up and regain your energy.
Pls, You are going to be an expressing machine! When will you fit that in with sleeping, visiting, and just life in general
Micca, $6k in bills  Haven't you been saying for weeks now that you need to do your tax?
MrsP, have fun at your classes. I only get 4 hours in total! Yep, I am supposed to be prepared for 2 little munchkins after that
Zofar, mmmm fish & chips... they have also had to come off my menu as fatty foods flair the indigestion up.
Lissy, Hope you got through yesterday ok :hugs:
We had dh's work xmas function last night. Today I am stuffed. I couldn't eat anything there. Mains were rare beef, feta pasta and fish. So I had potatoes and lettuce and no wine :( ahh the foods you take for granted when you can eat anything.

Mrs P - Have fun at your anntenatel classes!

AFM - Just taking it easy unpacked way to much yesterday and ended up with massive Fiona Feet  hubby is knocking down walls finishing up some renos and then tonight we are off to Yummy Thai for his Xmas do which is nice.......Oh and its STILL RAINING!
well I hope everyone has had a productive day...or a restful one.
I managed to do half my tax..lol... and then I got distracted...:laughing:.

I also managed to catch a nap and Ive just finished putting the christmas tree up:xmastree:... not going all out this year as Im the only one that will probably see the decos since my BFF and her kids n husband will be away over summer..sigh. but will put my outside lights up tomorrow if I get the chance...Ive a lot of solar powered ones which are great...:xmas:

Micca- were the same no one will see our un christmas style house.. we have fairy lights outside & usually i go all out this yr i pulled out a little ornamental light up xmas tree & thats it... probably get caught out if lily comes home for xmas... see what happens.
MrsP- mammoth ante-natal classes.Ours were 2hrs each wednesday night for 5 weeks but fat good they were they booked me in too late.. we missed out.
Petals- hows the fiona feet today?? thats cool what you did with the roll call. It was funny at first i thought hey ive been dropped off the roll.... till i scrolled further down LOL
Well we have great news again :smiliedance: lachlan now weighs 1430g & has been moved into a big boy waterbed, open cot thingy like lily & theyve both been moved into a room together in special care but still have 1 nurse fulltime for lachlan in the room, as he still needs monitoring & help occaisonally. He was doing alot better yesterday though with his breathing & while i was down in emergency (another story) dh got to cuddle both together... will try to upload the photos.AFM- above my scar has swollen & was killing me like its just been done again.Went dr's & he said its the muscle, ive obviously hurt it.. NOT anyway went home & was in agony so went to emergency in the arvo, they reckon its a absess stuck inside & cause the scar has healed closed it has no where to escape... stomach is so swollen & sore & RED.ED hadnt seen anything like it but put me on anti biotics again & ive got to go back to GP for a ultrasound referral to check for the absess ASAP & how much fluid is in there.... im so over this scar .Its going to need re-opening & draining more likely. So my 2 hrly expressing didnt happen yesterday.... nor did getting a prescription for the tabs  Have woken & swelling in lower tummy has subsided a little bit thankfully & it doesnt hurt to touch my stomach as much.Im sure cause im back n forth & forever doing something thats why its not healing properly although this bug is in the inside not the out.... not nice.
plsjust...great news on lachlan..woohoo they are now truely on the fattening up road...soon they will be learning to suck...
Sorry to hear about your Csection scar.. bugger.. I hope you can get that sorted by someone who wants to care...sounds all a bit casual about it in emergency...
Thats probably affecting your milk supply for sure...
well I have made a serious attempt to do the tax today...sigh... I thought I had done all the work but then I went through everything and it was just a mess...blame the IVF hormones on that...so 4hrs later and Ive still got to go through the IVF bills and deductions..gosh all this work had better be worth it with a refund !!!!!!
so the house is a tip...still got boxes from christmas decos and fake tree needles everywhere..not tidyed up the kitchen at all..sigh and there are papers every where !!..oh well thats what next days off are for....sigh....
At least I have got someone to do the lawns and spray weeds today around my duplex.. since I did it all..the other 3 owners in our block will just have to pay for these services now..lol..
time for a cuppa and to rest my numbers jumbled brain.....
Oh yeah...only 2 pees last night...woohoo :smiliedance::smiliedance:... guess those antibiotics are making a huge difference and no more sore bladder either..yay yay.
hope everyone has had a nice sunday..... oooh got to get washing in as it is about to storm...

Hi everyone else
Im too buggered to post but just wanted to say to Pls how awesome about lachlan!
Hi Girls,
I hope you all had a fantastic weekend :). I'm stuffed to after having my inlaws here all weekend. I'm socially burnt out!
Pls, That is wonderful news about Lachlan... what a little trooper!! Not so good about your scar, that sounds incredibly painful. Hopefully that gets sorted asap, its the last thing you need!!
Micca, yah for only two pees last night... I get miffed getting up once! I don't envy you with the tax. Does my head in. I'm planning on using one of my part time days off to review our budget, oh what fun that will be. Actually I might put that off until I finish work.. nothing like a bit of procrastination.
Swede, how are you feeling now? Are you recovered after those bugs? You asked what I do... I'm currently (for two more part time weeks! Yipppeee:yelclap:) in a Business Analyst type role. We had a project go in so had to be on call in case nothing worked, but it was all good! Hopefully that means a quiet day tomorrow... I hope anyway!
Hello to all you other ladies too! We put up the curtains in blobina's room today, cot is coming next week, then I can put up the bright red mushroom stickers.. very excited! I'll post some pics when done.
Have a great week! Two days of work for me and a tour of wineries on Friday, so I'll be watching my workmates get sloshed... its tough! :)
