Melbourne paediatrician to help with possible ADHD son

I'm unfortunatley beginning to suspect that my nearly 5yo son has either ADD, or more likely ADHD. His father is ADD, so it does run in the family.

I'm hoping to find a good behavioural paediatrician in the Melbourne area (southern suburbs would be great) who is experienced in this area. Any recommendations would be great.

i dont have a child with ADD but i have used him on the radio before (i am a radio producer)to answer calls from parents with ADHD and ADD questions. He was really great.

Thank you very much! We have my son booked into my other son's paed-to-be at the moment, but I've found specialists are a real hit-and-miss at times, so I'll definitely take down this one's name. We're lucky that his prep teacher for next year has a son with ADHD so if anyone will be able to spot it, it will be her.

I am also in melb and have wondered if i should go and see someone re my almost 5 yold son, who i think may have adhd.. I am not sure, i have look up the signs and he dies display them. Sure he is hypo a lot of the time, but then he can sit thru a movie and a book. i am worried as his behaviour the last few mnths has gotten really bad, he is full on, does not stop talking, asking questions, bosses his brother. Kinder have expressed that he has come out of his shell and displaying silly behaviour.. i feel that all i do is yell when he is naughty. i am thinking of changing his behaviour i dont know if its normal 4 yo behaviour and he is just acting out for attention or something else.. would you mind letting me know some of the traits yoru son was doing at this age to make you concern. my ds is also due to start school next year and i just want to be sure he will cope ok.. he goes to child care as well and they say he is well behaved.. dont know why he is so defiant then at home:freakingout::freakingout:
