Fluctuating progesterone in very early pregnancy

Hi all

Im hoping someone can put me out of my (hopefully short-lived) misery.

I had BT on Saturday and got our IVF BFP :smiliedance: HCG was 377 and progesterone 722. Today I had a sneaky BT coz I was at the GP anyway and thought why not. Anyway, HCG had done it's thing and is now 1040 but progesterone had dropped to 440. Im trying not to stress at this point and will have second "official" BT on Friday. FS just said to increase prog pessaries to 4 x day.

Has anyone else had this happen or have some advice about this??

Those numbers look really very high to me. If you google for a chart of progesterone levels during pregnancy you'll see levels much lower than those. I'm sure it's just a case of too much testing of things that don't need to be tested. Given your history it's understandable that you're anxious, but your HCG is great. Congratulations! You're going to be a mummy.

Hi trying

My first bt my prog was over 1000, I then had bts every three days and prog steadily dropped til it was 200 and something. My fs wasn't worried as it was still classed as very high. I now have a six month old daughter. I'm sure everything is fine xx

Thank you so much girls. Im so relieved I could cry. There are a lot of milestones to get past til we have our little one in our arms so perhaps I should step away from the BT :yes: for now and just do what the FS says and on the timeline he says. It's the control freak in me that will just have to let go.
