My last feed incl BF pics :)

Today Savannah had her last feed, she hasnt really bf from me since she was 2 weeks old, shes played around for 2-3 minutes then spat it out and wanted a bottle so I've been expressing for her for the past 7 weeks but I decided a few days ago I just couldnt do it anymore, with three other young children as well as savannah I just dont have time to express for every feed so I have been drying up my milk.

today we had our last feed. She lasted around 3 minutes on the breast and it was just as beautiful and amazing as the first time I fed her.

I do wish I had got to feed her myself exclusively and long term but we tried as much as we could... lactation day stay at hospital twice, lactation consultant came out to see us more than half a dozen times, phone counselling with ABA consultants etc etc but to no avail. I am very proud of feeding her at all thought and so so glad I got to experience such a beautiful thing.

Anyway to celebrate Sav feeding from me at all here are some photos of our last feed earlier today.

it sounds like you had a beautiful experience of breastfeeding despite the feeding issues.

you do what you need to do. if it's easier to end it all at once or to keep offerring breast/skin on skin cuddles occasionally, whatever you feel is right is ok.
i'm sure she will grow and thrive with such a loving mummy.
