I have been reading through the posts and am learning so much, thank you :)
I am in Brisbane and during a very old relationship I went through IUI for nearly 18 months through the QLD Fertality Group. I finally fell pregnant but had a m/c at 7 weeks. My relationship then broke up and I stopped trying.
After reading through some of the posts it seems like the costs to use a clinic have changed drastically. When I last went everything was pretty much covered by Medicare and I was only ever out of pocket around $30 a cycle. Oh how things seemed to have changed.
I am again single and have decided I am not going to let my lack of a partner (or being able to find one who wants kids) stop me from trying to have a child and am looking to start the journey again.
Would love to chat to anyone who has recently tried the clinic thing and also get some advise about finding your own donor and any pitfalls to watch out for.
