Hi
just wandering if anyone here has tested after a missed period, had pregnancy symptoms and yet still getting a negative on a home test?

Hello

Yes, I had this. It took 4 days to show up on HPT at home that I was pregnant (using the ultra sensitive tests) and then the following day at the docs the urine test came up negative again (!) but the blood test showed hcg levels of 256!!

I tested 4 days late too and got a neg with a test that said you could test 5 days before af is due :confused: I used a one response test...

I was the same, I was 5 days late before I had a positive result! Even then it was VERY VERY Faint!

I used the ultra sensitive tests too - not sure why they didn't work!!

My sister had this problem with her first pregnancy. She did numerous home test - all were negative - she did two at the doctors - both negative. The doctor didn't beleive she was pregnant - thought there was maybe some type of infection. She KNEW she was pregnant so went to another doctor who did a blood test. The blood test was positive - she was 8 weeks pregnant by this stage and still the home tests said negative.
