ok.. tell me if im wrong.. i know twins do not run in my family or my DH's family either.. but just curious (its gotta start somewhere i spose!) if it increases with age to have twins?? i wouldnt have a clue.. im only 25 and hope to have another baby before im 30 and they say its your most fertile time between this age.. (so i have read anyhow..) i dunno.. anyhow, anyone know.. or have any ideas??? it doesnt matter.. just curious thats all..:detective:

apparently you have more chance of having twins at 35+ because your body starts spitting out more eggs, and also the eggs are more likely to split into 2 embreyos.
From what I've read, your high fertility in your 20's doesnt contribute to a higher chance of twins, infact the healthy eggs you make are less likely to split.
I'd love twins!

yeah, ive heard that in your 35+ your body puts out more eggs.. but still, anyhow,, i would love twins.. i know it would be hard.. but still, it would be very exciting!! (I know my Dh would love twins!!) alwell... i do hope to have a boy though some day..

Yeah, your chances do increase a little with age, but not much more. The woman is the one who must have it in her family for it to be inherited, not the man. A man can pass it on to thier daughters but , the woman is the one who must produce 2 eggs not the man. So it would only matter for you if it ran in your family. My husbands father was a twin but that will only impact our family if we have a daughter she may have twins later.
