136 bpm @ 19 week scan - Did anyone get a girl?

Just had my 19 week scan today and bubs had a heartbeat of 136 bpm. I know the old wives tale says it's likely to be a boy but I was wondering if anyone had a similar bpm and had a little girl or know they will be having a little girl?
It doesn't bother me either way and we're not finding out before the birth but I'm just so curious :p

mine is just a little higher, but bubs HB has been 143bpm and she is a girl (according to 4 scans lol)

her heartrate usually sits around the 140bpm mark. :yes:

Our bubby's heartbeat was 121bpm at our 20 week scan and she is a girl :D

Boycrazy - the old wives tale says 140 or higher is a girl & less than 140 is a boy so I guess yours works in with that theory. DD was 148bpm.

Silver Lining - Maybe there is a chance that it'll be another little girl!

My boys hb was always around 150 when I had ultrasounds

Dd and ds had the same hb always 140s but i was always told girls should be high 150s and 160s

oh ok my two sons heartrates were always around 140-150 as well..so think its just a big myth :p

My daughters bpm was 136 at 18 weeks..

So I think definitely an old wives tale!

How fast your heart beats has nothing to do with what's between your legs. Good luck getting a healthy bub of your prefered gender. It's a 50/50 chance! I'm sure you'll love bubs either way. I know I do.

Both my children are girls and for some reason both had slower heartbeats. Both were around 120bpm. My dr assured me anything above 120 was fine but my girls were never much higher than that.

Dd was 128 bpm at 20 wks. ds 1 was 130 bpm at 18 wks

ds heartrate always was around the 140mark except early on(7-9ish weeks) when it was 160-178bpm.

Im going to be different, both my girls had low heart rates and i had my scan on friday and the heart rate was 143, and its a boy!
