Hi All. :p I am a new mum to baby Lily, 10 weeks old. It would be great to catch up with other parents from time to time, as this stay-at-home thing is new to me and I'm finding it's taking a bit of getting used to. I am also new to Brisbane - just moved into our new place 3 days before Lily came along! So all my friends are long-distance and work through the day, and I sometimes find myself walking around in circles at home, wondering who on earth would be home to chat to? And I still haven't got all the unpacking done! Frankly, I can't get my head around chores right now... we're lucky I even get the washing done, most days.
If anyone is interested in making a new email buddy and perhaps sharing some of their parenting knowledge, I would love to hear from you. As a new mum, I sure have a lot of questions and poo-stories to tell! lol

Hi Nicole. I'm on the south side of brissie - Durack (near Oxley, Forest Lake). Just moved here and getting to know my way around, but it's hard with Bub and no car (well, no license anyway... i know i know, don't tell me, a 26yr mum old should have her license). I'm looking forward to Lily being a bit older and more robust, so i can get around on public transport... seems so daunting! Suze  ;)

Haha

I too am 26 with no car, or license.... So don't feel too bad!!

I haven't yet braved public transport yet either - was waiting for Andrew to get a bit more easily carted around. I'm thinking of taking the plunge shortly, I imagine he'd enjoy the kick of looking around at all the people and out the window. He's a very curious fellow!

Its nice to know I'm not alone!

Hi All,

Please count me in if you arrange a get together, I live at Middle Park which is near Oxly, Jindalee, Mt Ommaney. Have a little 4 mth old treasure. Would be nice to get out of the house, to somewhere other than the shopping centre. I would be happy to pick people up if need be, have just bought a new/secondhand "family" car. Was at first trying to get Kurt in and out of our 2 door. It's a bit scary holding a newborn and trying to back out of a backseat!

Anyway, if anyone wants to chat, give me a note.

I am 25!! I am interested in meeting new friends and as I say to myself "Getting a Life".... I am a stay at home mum with a six week old boy who I adore. I live in Redcliffe, and have only just moved here. Being single, I don't have a network of friends here, and I really feel I need that. I am interested in catching up with other mum’s, as this stay-at-home thing is new to me and I sometimes find myself walking around in circles at home, wondering who on earth would be home to chat to? I am able to travel to Brisbane if needed. gazafamily@optusnet.com.au

Hiya Suze, Fern and all the Mums & Babes,
I've just moved to Sherwood from Scotland, with my hubbie Gav, and 2 year old daughter Rebecca. I'm 33 and newly pregnant with baby number 2.

I don't know anyone here yet, but I'm meeting up with some folks from this site at Spoon Deli & Cafe (Garden City) on Tuesday 27th at 10am, if anyone is free.

Other than that, please email me on mrsangeladavison@hotmail.com, boring email address I know but it's the only one I remember. Hope to hear from you.
Hugs Angie.
