Hi everyone, i have a 7.5 month old boy, who was an okay sleeper. On most occasionally he would fall asleep by himself and re-settle himself.
Since Sunday night things have changed and maybe I'm feeling lost because of all times for this to happen my husband had to go to Sydney for work for the week.
No matter what i do, i can't get him to settle and go to sleep, during the day and night. I'm lucky if his having 40min during the day and maybe 2hrs at night.
i can't seem to see anything that could be making him like this. He's eating his usual 3 meals and having his 4 bottles. Nothing has changed.
After a while i can get him to sleep in my arms, but as soon as i put him down he starts again.
I know i can just leave him in the arms, so he will sleep, but if i keep on doing this, it's only going to make matters worse.
He also still likes to be wrapped and if unwrapped won't even attempt to go down.
Has anyone else gone through something like this....i need urgent help please.
i don't know if i can take it much longer................................
HELP....HELP.....HELP.....:banghead:

I don't really have any solutions (sorry). My DD has always been a very average sleeper, but she has gone through periods of being just like your DS. I usually just go with the flow (I find that easier to be honest) and generally after about a week or two she settles back down.
I wish I could be more help. Good luck:)

My DD was the same  Its very tiring & stressful isnt it espeically if there is something you need to do and bubbi wont settle or let you put them down. I just went with it unfortunetely but when very stressed i would just ignore her for a few minutes. Sorry I cant help you out either but i hope your bub settles back down soon :hugs:

hi i feel for you as im going through the same thing my youngest is 8.5 months and hasnt slept a full night since about 4 months old. I bought a book yesterday about sleeping and am now trying a new routine today.
I hope for your sake he does start sleeping, cause i know how bad sleep deprivation is. Maybe he might be picking up that your a little tense cause your husbands away. Or he could be coming down with something especially if he used to sleep ok. if you want to talk email me:hugs: im thinking of you.

I know what you are going through this is our dailey struggle, DS has never been a good sleeper. It is our dailey battle to get him to go to sleep and we have tried everything books, sleep school ect and nothing works for him. I am hoping that he will grow out of it but after nearly 8 months I am starting to think will this ever stop!!!!
Big :hugs: to you!!!!!!!!!!!

Please let me know how you go with the new book, as i am quite interested....especially if things don't settle down.
I have to report that things were better after yesterday and last night, we both got some sleep.

Dear mum2bailey
The issues you are having with your DS sound the same as the ones i had with my older DS.
He is now 3yrs old, but what a horrible sleeper he was and still to this day, he gets up in the night and we have to lie down with him to go to sleep. He starts each night in his bed and the rest of the night in our bed....
I hope things work out and thank you for your support.
