Progesterone levels

Hi ladies,

Just got my CD21 progesterone BT result and it was 36.1 (o on CD18 so 3dpo when BT taken) last time I O'd (without clomid) it was 23.3.

Fertility nurse when got BT last cycle said number over 12 indicates O, my GP said over 15.

Anyway my Q is, does the number being higher this time mean anything other than I did O???

You have definately ovulated but prog levels do go up and down slightly during this luteal phase but the higher level doesn't indicate anything important, just that you have ovulated, as long as the level stays above around 25 this is enough to stop a period from starting but it doesn't matter whether its 35 or 105 its just there to support the lining of the uterus. If no embryo implants then the prog levels drop slowly and a period starts.
