Newborn photographers in Melbourne

Hi ladies,

I am after a recommendation for a photographer in Melbourne to take some newborn shots of our little man after he arrives. I was planning on using my Step Cousin however i have found her too expensive and she doesn't offer a CD with the images unless you spend over $1000 on prints and products which i thought was a bit much.

we used http://www.joannemoloney.com.au/ $400 for ten digital prints. Very patient with our very unsettled baby too.

I used Kristen Cook also...$150 to hold the appointment time is required upfront.

She likes to do newborns no older than about 6 - 8 weeks old. Preference is around the 2-3 so they are nice and sleepy. Mine were older due to O being hospitalised though, still got great shots.

Not cheap though...I spent over $1200..:o

That included 6 8 x10 black and whites mounted and a large canvas pic for the wall. Bit pricey, and you dont get the negatives or digital unless you get the top premium package, around the $3k mark...:yes:

Thanks girls, looks like my cousin is not that expensive after all. It seems that most photographers won't provide images on a CD unless you spend alot upfront.

I wasn't sure if I wanted photographs of newborn Billy so didnt arrange anything and after his early not-so-pleasant birth I was too tired to look into anything lol so I just used GFB babies who come around at a lot of the hospitals- we were at Monash. $300 I think for a few pics but everything on cd which is what I reallly wanted- was VERY happy!! if u want me to add u to FB so U can see our pics let me know :-)
