Rockingham hospital GP obstetricians!

Im new to this web site, and im also going to become a new mum i jave just found out im 8 weeks pregnant and i have been given a list of gp obstetricians at rockingham hospital. i was wondering if anyone out there has had there babies at rockingham and interested in knowing what doctor u chose and also your opinion on the hospital?

I had Dr Jose, Fantastic Doctor. He is VERY busy though. I had him for the last 4 weeks of my pregnancy (I dont live in Perth I live in the Pilbara, had the baby in rockingham)

As for Rockingham hosptial - I could not fault it. I was in maternity twice - I was admitted at 36 weeks due to bad gastro & I had an induction there the midwives were awesome. Really made me feel comfortable I only stayed for 24 hours and I had my own room.

This was in Feb this year - I do believe the maternity ward was due to move 'upstairs'

You will get mixed reviews on the hosptial - Some love it some hate it.

Hiya, just saw your post and not sure if you have made an appointment yet. I had Dr Jose for my 1st pregnancy, and he was fantastic fantastic fantastic. He is very busy, like the other poster said, but well worth the wait. I lost a baby last year and the support and care he gave me was amazing. He has so much concern for his patients. If he is running late, it only means that he has run across to the hospital to check on a patient of his in labour, or he is busy sorting out a patient with problems. Im 24 wks pregnant now and back with Dr Jose again. I honestly couldn't recommend him highly enough. Good luck!!
