View Full Version : Can teething cause vomiting?
Hi Friends,
My DD is currently teething and has had 2 molars come through in the last few days. She has been a bit off colur and has hardly eated anything for two days. She ate some yoghurt and fruit this afternoon then vomited it back up.
Could this be teething or may she have picked up a bug or something as well?????????
Has anyone else experienced vomiting with teething???

teething shouldn't cause vomiting...unless as they cut through they got infected??? But that would be rare..... Possibly picked up a little bug as well, there are alot of those sort around at the moment unfortunately....
:fingerscrossed: She feels better soon!!

I agree, teething shouldn't cause vomiting. Sounds like a bit of a bug to me. There are lots of these going around at the moment. Hope your DD is feeling better soon!

Has she ever had refulx as a baby because my daughter has and i noticed now when she teeths she still gets a bit of the reflux and especially after dairy.Mayby she is lactose intollerant?Hope she is feeling better soon :hugs:
Well its been a few days now and the vomiting seemed to be a one off (a big relief!). I think what may have happened is she ate apricot slices for afternoon tea and may not have chewed them up properly because her gums were sore. The big chunks of fruit may have been too much for her poor tummy.
:D She seems to be much happier today so hoping her gums are feeling a lot better!

They used to call the eye teeth stomach teeth as when they were cutting it did cause an upset tummy in some babies to the point of vomiting. Only 1 of my 4 had this but DS#4 is yet to get them so we will see. But if you are worried go to the doctor and get bub checked:thumbsup:
