Yup, we have it too. It starts at about 6pm in this house. The baby gets all grisly and my 10 year old goes hyper.

I never knew what this meant until Jesse hit 2.5/3 years old.
We call it 'jungle hour' in this house - it goes from about 4p.m. until bathtime (around 6.30/7pm) - It is now 8.09pm so "Jungle Hour" is over for another day...phew!

Yep! Started here about 3 months ago and my ds#1 will be 3 in about 2 weeks. Ours starts from about 4pm til 7pm ds#1 gets ratty and ds#2 copies him and thinks it's funny. They jump all over the couch and ds#2 usually falls and hurts himself so it makes it hard for me to even try to cook dinner and get it on the table at a reasonable hour with df being at work so there's just me and the kids home :( they also run from one end of our open plan house to the other screaming at the top of their lungs and jump off the chairs. We live in a town house and i swear our neighbours thinks there is something seriously wrong with my kids when it comes to this time in the late afternoon. DS#2 goes to bed at 7pm and DS#1 finally calms down and watches tv with me for an hour and goes to bed but by the end of it all i'm frazzled!! lately it's been an all day thing here too, i'm gonna go crazy :banghead:

I have ds2 also copying everything ds1 does.. he doesn't even sleep during the day anymore (cause ds1 doesn't) so come about 4.30pm we hit 'send mummy mad' time..
I have heard the phrase of calling the second child 'me too' so thats what we call him now..

Yes we definitely have this in our house, it starts at around 4pm ad lasts as long as it takes for the kids to settle in bed.

I hate that time, there are school basg to unpack, dinner to cook, baths to get ready, teeth to be brushed, stories and the usual yelling in between times nagging one or other of the boys to get movng and do what they have been asked.

i really think they pick up on my hatred of that time of the day, they have been at school and want to let off steam, their baby brother is demanding their attention as he has missed them all day and for me it is non stop doing something.

I get the boys to bed and feel like a glass of wine! Perhaps I should have one when they get back from school so I feel calmer through the whole process!

once they are asleep I visit each of them in their bedroom and think how gorgeous they are and how lucky I am to have them when 30 mins previous I was feeling totally frazzled by the whole parenting process!
