New Coorparoo Markets

Hi All, I have just been down to check out the new markets at Coorparoo in the old myer building.
It is across 2 floors - the upper floor is all fashion/homewares/jewellery etc some of the clothing is quite nice, I saw some lovely bags, there was a few soap stalls etc, I was disappointed that there was only one stall with kids clothes, which I didn't actually go into (looked like a few slogan tshirts etc but some stuff looked quite cute) but overall that level left me feeling a bit ....meh!

I really liked the food hall - there were lots of fruit and veg stalls, a few meat stalls (pretty good prices too), deli lines, spices, bakery items, delicious treats etc.

I hope that the general market floor picks up because the area could really use a bit of a boost. Love to hear what other think of it!

Went there yesterday the food level is fantastic.

DD was impressed she kept saying "wow" and "it's amazing".

It will be very handy for us, glad it's finally opened.

Yep I was there today! Good prices with the fruit/veg/meat etc and the greek food stall looked awesome but we didn't try anything today. Wasn't too impressed with the second level in that a lot of it looked like cheap imported stuff. But yep there was the soaps and jewellery stalls which looked pretty good :-) Don't know that we will go back but only because we are on the n'side and just happened to be out that way today.

I really like the fact that there is a lot of local produce, trying to keep down my food mileage. The meat that I got was from about 3 hours from brisbane, so not super local, but at least its not coming from Victoria for example.
