I wonder how many other babies who breastfeed get excited when they see BOOBY!!

I am sure they all do lets share!

Eliza makes these little laughs like "ah ha ah ha ah ha" and her legs go crazy kicking her arms flinging around I have to sort her limbs out before I get her near me! then she pulls of smiles and squeals and is back on like she's saying OMG this is sooo good!

Pixie, reading your post put a big grin on my face! My DD was like that too - legs would go flying and once she was on the boob she literally used to sigh!
Tis such wonderful time!

Yep, another booby lover who gets all excited! Hamish flails his little arms and legs and unless I hurry up he ends up in a frenzy!:D

I'm trying to teach Curtis to sign for boobie. Before a feed, I engage him and say "Bitty? Bitty? Bitty?" while doing our sign for it (just open and shut hands). He opens his mouth wide in a big smiley way and gets all excited, tries to headbutt me in the chest  I love it!!!

my bub does those things too, plus he looks like a guppy opening and closing his mouth, and gets cranky if I take too long getting shirt up etc!:D

MJ cracks me up. If she hears the words "milk" or "boob" she drops whatever she's doing & runs over with her mouth wide open. She also whimpers whie i'm getting unclipped etc. Then dives straight in on sight

If Summer hears the words 'nunu's' (breastmilk) she comes running mouth wide open!!!! Screaming NU NUS NU NUS!! Its so funny! and cute at the same time. If DP wants to annoy me when im in the middle of something he whispers 'nunu's' in Summers ear & yep you guessed it...she comes running over to me trying to pull my top down

OMG Pixie - reading of your restaurant experience - exactly the same thing happened to me when Libby was 6 months old - she ripped the shawl off, and threw herself around laughing and carrying on leaving me exposed to the world....LOL....no shame whatsoever....

She usually makes a "Ah ha!" noise, giggles and laughs when I lift my top after she has signalled she wants "mummy milk"....so cute....

This is one of my favourite things. Baden is absolutely shameless in his worship of the boob.

It's the most beautiful innocent wonderful thing and it always makes me laugh.

Today I was in a restaurant and there was a table of 6 "older" people older as in geriatric! Anyway E was fussing so I popped a wrap over my shoulder and started to feed her as you know at 5 months old EVERYTHING is very fascinating and she HATES being covered up so she's on and off the boob, anyway this places is packed + the olds and Eliza rips the wrap of flinging it onto the floor then pulls off the boob and cranes her neck back so she's looking upside down, and there I am scrambling for the wrap as my nipple squirts milk onto gawd knows what and then have to listen to the olds saying how things have changed and breast is best and yadda, yadda OMFG :o:o

My 10 month old DD only has two day time feeds now, both before her sleeps, so I feed her lying down (God bless the lactation consultant who showed me this - breastfeeding lying down is just the most relaxing thing! ) I lie her down first and then lie down beside her and lift my top up, and she opens her mouth and does this panting sort of cry, and then as soon as my breast gets close enough she grabs it with her cute, chubby little hands and pulls it into her mouth. Then she does this little sighing thing and lies there drinking, all the while squeezing her hands in and out on my breast.

Ahh, I just love breast feeding. I hope she doesn't wean for a while. When she started cutting back on her daytime feeds (she still likes one or two in the night too, but since we're co-sleeping that doesn't really bother me), I started to panic because I wasn't ready to give up breastfeeding

But I think DD has started to work out where I'm hiding my milk factory, because she occasionally pulls the front of my top out and has a look down there. She doesn't usually want a feed when she does this. It's kind of like she's just checking to make sure they're still there for when she does want one!

She's also started to notice that mummy isn't the only one with boobies... :p

Ahh I love the the little squeezes they do with their hands except Eliza has a mighty grip and my left boob is actually green with bruising!!! my DP asked me the other night what had happened I said you'll see later then he saw her feeding and was like  OWWW lol

If I don't 'read' cobey in time, he'll be chucking a bit of a tanty about the lack of boob, so I lie him on my lap while I undo my bra, and as soon as my shirt lifts the crying stops, he stares... and then starts acting like a gold fish!

Just today he smiled while on the boob...... *melts*

Awww...booby smiles...they are the best, especially when they have a little milk dribble running out of their mouth!

Yes! I get lots of these, and love the little pause as she waits for a reaction from me, then she has a brief little 'heh heh' before plunging back into it...

You know, the longer I feed, the more I think to myself: "Self-wean! Let her feed as long as she wants!" I certanly have changed my tune from the early days when it was all so hard and I was ready to give up (but of course those early days can be so agonising). YAY! I just wanna come out and say (for the first time on bubhub I think) that I LOVE BREASTFEEDING MY BABY! I love it!!! :smiliedance: :smiliedance:

Yay Pookiesossige! I know what you mean about just letting them self-wean. I weaned DS#1 at 14 1/2 months then decided to let DD self wean. She did, but at 10 months :crying: . I was devastated and it took a long, long time for me to came to terms with. Now I get to have a second chance at letting my bub self-wean and by the way he loves my boobies, I don't think he will be an early weaner!

I remember someone telling me once how her son self weaned and how she was so upset, I was pregnant at the time and thought to myself "so he didn't want to feed anymore" I couldn't understand why she was so upset. Now I have Eliza I completly understand, I just love it I don't think you can ever describe it to someone who hasn't or doesn't BF even my DP notices he says you love those early morning feeds don'y you where she is just gulping it down and the look of love is so strong after a night apart, awww

i have to admit, I'm not sure about the self weaning thing. Simply because I'm going back to work in January and I don't know how that'll affect our relationship. I'm expressing and storing now and we'll soon be having one bottle feed a week (I think) to get him used to the bottle before it's too late. And we'll be feeding out of work hours.

Before having him I was sure I was only going to breastfeed for 6 months. Now I want to go for at least a year (chris is a bit unsure of that one heheheh he wants his boobs back) or maybe even let him self wean.. but I'm afraid that with bottle during the day that'll be sooner rather than later.

Oh, and this morning we got the satisfied gulp down, pixie. He slept the longest he has ever (9.30 - 5.30!!!) so when he found the boob this morning he GULPED it down (doing so in such a manner that he chucked up afterwards.. sign of a true boob pig, eats until full and then some!)

I thought I'd drag this up again for anyone who has any more stories!

Eliza of late has started to grab hold of the nurple taking it out of her mouth staring at it then "talking" to it and dragging it back into her mouth it's soooooo cute!!! I wonder what she's thinking lol

Cha is a boob shark. She is nearly 13 months and has no sign of giving it away. I didn't feed Sop for too long - she was premmie etc. etc. Oli gave it away at 10 months.

I always said once Cha walks or can stand and suck I am giving it away. I was adamant that if she ever started lifting my shirt the boobie was going. She sucks and stands up, lifts my shirt, plays with the nipple, generally treats them with absolutely no respect, and I have absolutely no intention of giving it away. :) It also has the added bonus of really annoying my mother.

She keeps on asking me 'How much longer are you going to carry that on for?' I keep on telling her 'As long as we like'. You can see her lips pursing and her head shaking. A definate added bonus.

You are all sooooo lucky! I chose not to BF second time around as first time was a horrible nightmare.....these stories make me hugely regret the decision I made as I will never get to experience this wonderful joy! I just wish I had been more open minded as I have done a full parenting loop in many respects since DD was born....to the point where I had even considered starting BF at 4 months! Well done you lucky ladies

My Blake is a typical male......cant get enough of the booby!! He will get all excited when i lay him on my lap to get ready, then he will do the little anticipation pant thingy and all i have to do is get him to the right height and he will reach out with both hands and pull himself towards it and latch himself on. From about 3 months we could feed no hands. and he will get this look in his eye that a bottle baby doesnt do. he will pull off look up smile......and if i am not looking when he does this he will play with the boob til i look down and smile back then he will put himself back on. when he is finished he will start licking and playing with the nipple. I never understood the connection either until he was born. I had cracked and bleeding nipples when he was 10 days old and i soldiered on, that connection wasnt really strong then but i figured i just had to pull through that and see what happened, then had to have my gall bladder removed at 4 weeks and still managed to feed him. originally i said i would feed til 3 months, then it went to 6 then 9 and now its whenever!!

In the last week or so Cha has been hanging onto the boobie while she feeds with both hands. Looks like she is munching into a hamburger.

DD laughs when I say milk or make the sign and starts waving her arms about. The other night she had just had a feed and was trying to pull my top down. I was just letting her try cause I knew she wasn't hungry and she put her head down and bit my boob through my clothes! Thankfully she only just got her first tooth and this was before the tooth came through but my DD is obsessed! lol

Shine's first word was booby! Before Mum or Dad - heh, she knew what her priorities were!

She is such a booby monster. I swear, she's like an addict - she gets withdrawals and then when she gets another booby fix, her little eyes glass over and roll back in her head..

"Hi, my name is Shine, and I'm a boobaholic!"
