Im just hoping the sum 1 out there will be able to help me, my bubba has had a tummy bug (10months) for the last 4 days... she went trew throwing up everything she out to REALY bad dioreah, im changing her nappy and her clothes pretty much every hour! its driving me crazy! its very runny like water and she has an awfull nappy rash from it???
is there any way i can help her? the doctors said just to come back in a few days if she dosent get better!
Not much I'm afraid. But make sure you keep her fluids up, she has to stay hydrated, and extra water will help flush the bug out.
Good luck.

Small amounts of tepid water often. Even though she is pooing lots, some water will still be absorbed.
If you are really worried, maybe ring your GP surgery and have a chat the a nurse.

How old is she?
As others have said, keep up her fluids (water, clear broth, pedialyte) and keep watch for signs of dehydration. If she's on formula then dilute it more than usual or stop it completely for a day - the milk/dairy is harsh on upset tums. If she refuses to drink then it's time to go to hospital for some help in keeping her hydrated.
If she will take solids then you can try a bit of rice cereal (made up with water) or mashed potatoes. Otherwise boil some rice or pasta in water and give her the cooled water - all the starch from the rice or pasta will be in the water and will help to settle her system.
At 5 days I'd be back to the dr and insisting that they test her poo for bacteria. Some diarreah needs antibiotics if it persists. You'll have to take a fresh dirty nappy with you unless you can be sure she'll poo on demand, lol.
I hope she feels better soon.

My son had this for 9days....it turned out he had Samonella poisoning.
But whenever they get gastro i give them Hydralyte...
I was told that when they have gastro or somthing it cause's the bowels to contract to much when they have milk etc....so when they have this it gives the bowels a rest.
Also for them bum i used Daktozin.
Maybe try searching google for gastro symptoms etc...see what you can find....but here is a link to the hydralyte stuff so you know what it looks like.

If it's gastro.. keep her fluids well and truly up and grab some hydrolite or gastrolite icey poles.
My DS went though a similar thing, and we had to put him on lactose free formula for a week.
Of couse thats not going to work if your breastfeeding, but thats my only suggestion.
Hope it clears up soon.:fingerscrossed:
