hello i just moved to nelson bay from wagga and suddenly i dont feel deppressed anymore! Whats available for little kids in the port stephens area so far as organised activities, swimming lessons, playgroups and the like?

If you are new to the area go and visit the Gan Gan Family Centre at Anna Public School, they run parenting groups, a toy library and a heap of great workshops, they also have the latest info on what playgroups etc are running. :)

I find the Baptist Church near the police station fabulous!

Yay! We're kind of new-ish to the area as well, are there any fun activities for kids like gymboroo or do we have to go to Newcastle?

The PCYC at nelson bay has gym classes for littlies.
Also try the 'whats on in your backyard' website and add them on your facebook page. they tell you all thats happening in port stephens. they also have a magazine - the next edition comes out in april

Thanks! It looks like the kindigym there starts at 2 years, I want something like the crawlers gymboroo for DD because she's crawling and cruising. Off to Newcastle I guess. I live right around the corner from the PCYC, I should go to some of the sports there :p

hey luvmyboys, i checked out the family centre. The lady was very helpful. I think i have 3 kilos in pamphlets now! Lol.

I'm at Anna Bay and we take our daughter to Gymbaroo at Maitland. Much easier then newcastle. Also worked it now so we do swimming on the way home and makes for a fun morning out.
