Hi everybody,

I see Chicken and Eggs mum is in this forum a fair bit, and we are in the same due thread, hi!!

I'm due Jan 25th and am adament that I want to be a full time cloth user by the time our daughter is 6 months old ( I figure I'll give myself some leeway incase I'm not coping very well haha) She is our first. I also have no friends who have babies so they are absolutely clueless, when anyone first finds out i'm going cloth they look at me like I'm crazy. And even when I explain how great MCN are now, they still give me the crazy eye.

So i'm starting to think about buying a bucket and then it occurs to me... what kind of bucket do I buy???? I was thinking one of those squishy plastic ones (from like Howards storage world) that have a plastic lid that fits on top, but then I thought, will it really smell, will the plastic start smelling like dirty nappies? Is it better to get a hard plastic bucket instead?

So, what do all of you lovely ladies have in terms of your 'dry pail' ??

Thanks!!!

Hey!!

Im here!!! LOL

We have just the hard plastic buckets from big w - I have two, one for soaking clothes and one for nappies!!! But I think when this bub comes along they will both be nappy ones!!!

I like the hard plastic, easy to keep clean, rinse, etc..... I got them in the big w sale, so quite cheap.

Not sure about the soft plastic, i think it might take on smells....!! not sure though, am sure there are some other lovely ladies on here who can help you!!!!!

I started off with a couple of normal nappy buckets from big w, but then i got sick of DD pushing them around the floor so i went to golo and got 1 of those wheely bins!

Works a treat, fits perfectly between my washer and sink and means that all my nappys can fit in there so the laundry doesnt look cluttered.
