View Full Version : Afternoon tea
Morning all,
I know some of us are meeting up on Wednesday this week, but for those of you who can't make mornings I was thinking of having a meet up at our house one afternoon so you could possibly make that instead.
We don't normally have plans in the afternoon, so any day is good for us. Do you all have a preference as to the day and time? My youngest is normally having a nap around 1-3 but my oldest daughter (2) will be happy to have people to play with.
Let me know your thoughts on a day/time and we will go from there. I will also ask some of the older Canberra mums (who don't really post here any more) to see if they want to come along as well. Catch up with some of you on Wednesday.

i would like to come but not this week. :) im pretty busy after tomorrow. :)
I was thinking next week being as we are meeting up tomorrow morning.
Wednesday is always quite a good day for a meet because it breaks up the week. Let me know when if you have a preference because I am free every afternoon.

Do u mind if I join you? I don't live in the ACT but am here often visiting my family. I usually live with rural so like coming to the city to meet other mums.
I would be able to make an afternoon for sure. Any day suits me ok.
Depending on where you live is what time I'd make it. Time I leave work, head to daycare & get Ryan, I'd say the 3 or 3.30pm mark would be best for me - that's probably too late isn't it?
Morning all,
I was thinking maybe Thursday afternoon next week, say around 1.30? Nel my little ones are normally ready for dinner around 4.30 but if you can make it around 3 then why not pop along and at least have a little bit of "you" time.
For those of you who are interested, message me and I will give you my address and contact number. I live in Dunlop (northside) just so you know the rough location.
mum2lilprince feel free to come along of course we don't mind. Where abouts are you? I assume close to Canberra.
Some of the older bubhub mums who don't post here are interested in coming along so will message them the details as well. It will be nice to bring both groups together a little more.

I usually live about 5 hrs away, but I have alot of family here. I live on a farm so DS doesn't get alot of chances to see other kids.
Lahri, if I came just by myself for some me time I'd probably be able to get there around 2.30pm. But I'd feel 'naked' without my little man at a mum's meet
Perhaps I could leave work a tad early so I could go to daycare for the little man first.
Will see how I go closer to the day & if it definately goes ahead :)
Nel no problem at all. I went to my very first meet whilst pregnant so I didn't have a little one with me but it was nice to get some time to chat to the other mums.
If you wanted to do that then it is fine, I certainly don't mind.
Oh dear - good old times .....
I have to admit, I don't know many of the users ....! But I rember spending hours and hours here - before somebody introduced me to FB!
Lahri - love your name
