Hi I can't see a page for July bubs yet....
We were so lucky and blessed to get a :bfp: on our very first isci cycle/fresh transfer. :cloud9:
We are at this stage due July 4th, 2011.
Love to hear from other mummies to be due at the same time!!! :-)
Baby Dust to all.

Is there no one else due in July 2011??

KimInMellie
01-11-2010, 11:26
HM, I'm not due July (as you know :) ) but I thought I'd come in and say hello. Be patient ... sometimes IVF gals are a bit wary about joining a due in thread early on, until we're sure it's sticky. You'll have mums-to-be chatting away in here in no time!

This isn't a hard & fast rule, but the convention right now is to make the IVF due-in threads for three-month periods (in this case, July/August/September 2011). You might want to PM a mod and have her change the title for you if you're okay with that. :)

Congrats again!

I'm here! I go for my second bt today so fingers crossed that my numbers are rising!!!

It looks like if all goes to plan I will be due around 13 July 11:yelclap:

first hcg at 16dpo was 773

this is our 7th cycle all up, 3rd HRT FET cycle and our 2nd bfp for the year. So we are REALLY hoping that this is our sticky sticky bub!

Hi Hailees Mum and Bella 1!

This is so exciting! Hailees Mum, I know you from the October IVF thread and I so glad to find a familiar name!!

I have just found out that I'm due in July 2011. According to the bubhub calender on the 8th July! I have been lucky enough to fall pregnant on my first try of IVF ICSI! It is such a strange feeling! The worries are completely different now!

My numbers are not as high as yours Bella 1! I got a 35 on Monday and a 83 on Wednesday. I have them all check on Wednesday next week! I'm hoping they continue to soar!

How are you both feeling? I'm just feeling a little off, just strange. I don't really have a good description of what I feeling. It is surreal!

Have you guys told people that you're pregnant? When we thought about naturally conceiving we always said we wouldn't tell anyone until the end of the first trimester. It is so different with IVF as family and friends have been supporting us through it. Now I'm afraid too many people know too early!! What do you both think?

I look forward to following your stories and hopefully I will have good news to share on Wednesday!

Sorry for the extra long :ecomcity::ecomcity::ecomcity:!

I hope you have a great day!

Hi Gettingdesparate - I am so happy to have you join us on this journey!!!

Welcome and I hope everything goes smoothly for us all.

How am I feeling ... well alright I guess - I am SO hungry I could just eat and eat and eat, I never feel full ATM. Boobs are getting that look, full and veiny and sore. I am getting twinges but not sore on the sides near ovaries and low in the pelvis at times and if I could get more than 4 hours sleep a night I might be able to concentrate on something for more than 10 mins;). I gag every now and again for no reason and getting in the car as a passanger takes a little bit to get used to as I feel a bit car sick, which is not normal for me. So lots of little things but nothing major!!

Hey Getting Desperate and Bella1!

Gr8 to have you both here!!!

I am feeling VERY TIRED! and like I could vomit pretty much all day long. I have a SUPER nose at the moment and anything I smell is making me queazy!!! :barf:
Boobs are sore but it seems to be easing off a little. Can't wait for my scan on Tuesday (16th) I've had a few twinges / pains in my lower tummy clinic said nothing to stress about but to rest as much as I can...

Hope you guys are travelling ok...

We have told pretty much everyone. DH wanted to wait but when we got the :bfp: we just couldn't help ourselves!!!

I'm looking pregnant already!!! I feel HUGE!!!
Actually nah I don't look pregnant I just kinda look like I've had about 10 pizza's to eat!!!

love to you both (and anyone else who is reading but not ready to join as yet!!!)

:wave:ladies,

Hope you r all well.
I think I belong to this thread as we just received our BFP....yay!

This was DH's and I's third and final chance at ivf (ICSI) and were shocked to hear that it worked this time:yelclap:

Anyway, I am currently 4weeks and 3days I think so according to the calculator I should be due around16th July.

How are you all feeling so far?

Hi Ladies!

Welcome Trying2StayPositve, it is so nice to see you on this forum as I remember following your story on the October chat.

I had my bt today and my HCG is now 2361 and my progesterone is 370. It is all looking good! I'm 5 1/2 weeks pregnant today!

I have a very sensitive nose like you HaileesMummy! I almost had to change the sheets on the bed the other day because they smelt of the washing powder. My husband thinks it's hillarious!

I also feel huge! I am so bloated from the progesterone. They think I will be able to stop the pessaries next week after my next bt.

Bella1, are you waking up in the middle of the night and unable to get back to sleep? I'm going to sleep at 8.30pm and then wake up at 2am for about two hours! It's driving me crazy!

My scan is booked for the 24th November!

Hope you are all well and making it through the days!

Talk soon!

Did all of u have more than one bt?? I only had the one. At 16dpo my level was 219. My fs said as long as it was over 200 then all was fine! Now I read all ur second bts results and I wonder!! My scan is 16th nov being this Tuesday and I have all the preg symptoms but I'm just sooo worried. One of my gfs just had a scan at 9wks and she had miscarried. She wasn't ivf but it's just scared me I think!!! She had a scan at 6wks and they thought it was just too early to pick up heartbeat as she only measured 5.2wks. She has to have d&c tomorrow.

10-11-2010, 15:58
Hi HaileesMummy,

I'm from Canberra.

I'm so sorry to hear about your friend! I can't imagine going through that! Fingers crossed we all have sticky bubs that will all go the distance.

My clinic was worried about my low numbers so they said to have weekly tests. I'm not sure how many they will do.

I have my scan at 7 1/2 weeks as my FS said we would hear a heart beat then.

It's a crazy road of nervousness, excitement, fear!

Keep well!

Hello Ladies ,

I am so excited I can join your thread!! (If you'll have me ). We got out BFP yesterday and to my calculations if all goes well, the baby is due on the 14 of July. But after last time we are taking it one day at a time.

My HCG was at 1561 at 18 DPO. My clinic does blood tests every week until the 7 week scan, so I'll be having 3 more BTs.

HaileesMummy, if you are worried you can ask to have another test. If my clinic didn't do weekly BTs anyway I'd be insisting on the in any case. But that's because my very first pregnancy (the only natural one) turned out to be ectopic and I am a little paranoid now.

Talk soon
Nat

Oh, btw, I am in WA.

Hello lovelies,

have you thought about the birth? i mean, going private or public, birthing centre... Here in Perth the obs book out pretty quick I am told. I have decided not to book anything until I see a heartbeat, even if that means risking not getting into the ob of my choice. Point is I have no idea who to chose anyway.

We have private health insurance and in a way I think as we are paying for it we might as well use it. Then again there is the out of pocket expense for the management fee... Hmmm. And if it turns out to be high risk or the bub needs specialist care, those cases get transferred to the public hospital anyway, as they are the specialists. So in a way I wonder what the point of private is.

Have you had any thoughts?

1bella
12-11-2010, 19:09
I'm not looking that far ahead at the moment.... I'm just hoping to see a heartbeat on Monday and go from there!!

Last time it wasn't great news so I'm trying not to get ahead of myself!!

But I know what you mean about PHI - so maybe a private patient in a Pub Hosp may be the way to go!

Natalsche
12-11-2010, 20:31
I know what you mean, Bella. That's why I didn't want to book anything yet either. Last time we didn't even make it as far as the scan. I spoke to my health fund today to check out our cover and was told to get onto it though as Perth is crazy...

Good luck for Monday. I'm sure it'll be all fine and such an exciting experience. :yelclap:

I have been MIA for a little while due to being very busy with work etc.

Hope u are all feeling good.

Welcome natalsche and lucky, congratulations on ur bfp's.

Haileesmummy I'm in Sydney.

It is so lovely to see u all from the October thread.

I have booked my 7 week scan for the 30 th nov. I can't wait.

Natalsche, I'll be going private as I would prefer one on one care.

I need to choose an OB soon before I miss out.

Take care and enjoy your weekend :)

Hello everyone

The October thread is getting a little quiet so I thought okay it might be time to move across (woohoo to so many of us making it). Although I am a little apprehensive like Natalsche & 1bella (hello ladies).

I keep getting reminded of the negatives so just seem to be wishing time away. We are lucky (IVF) to be getting a scan much earlier than normal - I don't think I could wait any longer, although it is getting a little easier. I have my scan this week. I can't wait for further confirmation.

Here's to an exciting 8 months...

Trying2StayPositive
13-11-2010, 20:59
Hi Ivygreen,

it is quiet in the october thread, i think most people have moved on to other threads.

i know we are all apprehensive......and are constantly reminded of the negatives......as my sister says just enjoy the moment, so that's exactly what i am trying to do as i dont want to stress my body anymore. So for the time being until my scan I am just taking it easy and enjoying being pregnant :D (having said that i am still scared to death, but force myself not to think about it too much)

I too hope the next 8 months is smooth sailing for all of us....we have had to go through tough times to get here.

Anyways enough of my :ecomcity:. Hope you are all having a good night!

Hi Ladies!

I hope you have all had a good weekend! It has been a very wet and humid one here!

Hi Trying2StayPositive, Ivygreen and Natalsche! So exciting to see more familiar names from the October Thread.

Are you guys emotional? I am so emotional at the moment! One minute I'm fine, the next excitied, the next anixous, next cranky! It's a nightmare!!

I'm feeling like you, HaileesMummy. My boobs are so sore - they seems to have days where they are more sore than others!! I'm also feeling sick! Some of the smells around the place at the moment almost send me over the egde!! The biggest thing for me though is still how tired I'm getting. It reaches 3pm and I'm overdue a Nana nap!!! I wake up tired!!

Good luck to Bella 1 and HaileesMummy this week with your scan! I look forward to hearing your news!!

Hope you are all travelling well! I can hardly believe Christmas is so close and of course for us it will mean the end of the first trimester!

Hi everyone

I remember most of you from the October IVF thread and it so great to see so many with BFP :yelclap:

I little bit about myself:
According to the due date calculator I'm due 9th July. So that makes me about 6wks and 4days. I have a scan booked on 26/11, I left it a bit later to book because my DH works away and I really wanted him there.
My BT have been very reassuring, my last one was at 21 days post 5 day blast transfer (only one transferred) and my hCG was 14600, exactly one week before then it was 1800. The nurses at the clinic asked me if I had twins in the family because my levels were high (but not high enough to be a molar or anything thank goodness). And I have twin brothers and twin uncles :) She said it was a possiblility or it might be just the way my body has responded, doesn't matter either way as long as I see a heart beat on the 26/11.

I live just south of Perth, but am only new to WA, I am a QLDer at heart and hope to go back some day soon.

I am also going public to a midwifery lead clinic. I work as a midwife at the local hospital and don't want to go where I work because there is too many DR interventions. I trust a midwife to support the process of natural child birth a lot more then a DR, I really don't think that the Dr's think childbirth is natural they like to intervene with Caesareans, forceps and epidurals etc and everything else medicalised. I believe that it is necessary to have medical support available for emergencies because if things go wrong they usually go wrong in a big way, but I have complete support in midwifery care and their ability to recognise when medical support is needed.
I suppose a lot of that :ecomcity::ecomcity: is the midwife coming out in me....... and if anyone needs anything that I might be able to help you with please feel free to ask.

Anyway that's enough from me, look forward to hearing about everyone elses journey...:smiliedance:

Trying2StayPositive - my scan will be on 2 December, although, I will actually be nearer 8 weeks than 7 weeks if a go by the first day of my last period. But I had a long cycle so I guess that's why they want to wait.

AFM, just had my blood results back and all is well. My HCG was 16355 and the FN seemed very pleased with that.

Wow this is just so exciting.

1bella - Congrats - twins!:yelclap: My partner would be so jealous.

Hailees - it such a relief when we get told...yes there is something there and heartbeat is strong. The next step passed.

Greenapple - I remember your journey from past threads so I am very happy to see you here to share this next journey.

Trying2staypositive - enjoy your time away. Good to know you're not taking IVF stress on the trip.

Natalsche - great results.

Babycatcher - Hi:wave:

Gettingdesperate - good luck tomorrow.

Lucky - I was the same. I only just started to feel sick as of today 6 weeks five days so don't wish that one sooner and I still don't have sore boobs. Just tired like you.

I can't seem to go any further back so i hope I haven't missed anyone.

AFM - I had my scan on Monday and there is something growing and heartbeat detected - my only thought...phew. Next hurdle? What I have found though is we seem a little more fortunate in this part of the IVF process than non IVFers (has to happen at sometime!) but we get to request numerous blood tests for reassurance, have a scan from 6 weeks if we so request and then I was asked do I want another at 8 weeks. Well I wasn't knocking that back. My girlfriends have had to wait until 10 weeks and one recently told me that she had to wait until week 11 (couldn't get in earlier) and pay $250 for it - $80 back. I am happy with the reasurance. I don't think I could wait any longer. :ecomcity::ecomcity:

Enjoy the rest of the evening.

Welcome greenapple, that's great numbers. Do u think u might have twins?

 tryingreallyhard, good luck with your BT on Friday. Hope to see u around

Ivygreen, that's fantastic about having a bubba with a strong heartbeat there. That's my next hurdle but I'm trying not to think about it so I don't stress:laughing:
I agree with u about us being more lucky, my younger sister is also preggers with her second baby and doesn't get a scan till she's like 18 weeks or something like that and we are due around the same time

Hayls, thanks for ur well wishes

Hi Trying! I am not sure on the twins LOL !! My FS Dr said looks like it could be twins with those numbers! Though I will be the first to admit, if it's twins I would be shocked! Out of the 2 embryo's we put back 1 was very very poor quality (in fact I am at all surprised they transferred it at all) severly fragmented with 1/2 the cells not making it through the night, however the ones that were there were splitting! The other was a perfect 2 day 8 cell embryo (our fighter)

Ivy - thank you for the welcome :) It's an absaloute surprise to be joining a pregnancy thread! After 5 years of TTC it was a shock

My poor FN today called me the phone was out of range, so she left a voice mail, I was on another phone trying to call her back but she was trying to call me, I accidentally hung up on her on both lines! Then she calls back gets my details and says WELL IT'S GREAT NEWS ... I didn't know what else to do but burst into tears and give DP a big hug! She kept saying HELLO, ARE YOU THERE? LOL, I had to get my partner to say I was in shock! Needless to say, as soon as we got off the phone we both had a tear or tears in our eyes! The last thing she said was now I will transfer you to your Dr's room so you can make a scan appointment for your 6 week scan! Well I wasn't really able to talk so I had to push the words out of my mouth and say 'wait can I call you tomorrow when this news actually settles in' LOL! My FS was on the phone within 10 minutes and was over the moon for us! He mentioned with such high HCG (131 at 13DPO) it may be twins :O ... count down now on for the 3rd December!!

Haileesmummy, just had to fill him in on the details of my cycle.....so nothing major, he wants to see me in two weeks just after my scan to keep and eye on everything which is good. Also, yes u r right I can't wait to see a heart beat then I think I'll actually believe it's true lol

Gettingdesparate that's fantastic results!

How do I feel about twinnies??? Well it doesn't seem real to be honest, it is still early days too.

After the IVF heartbreak of the past 18 months and the first FS caring more about his new iphone than me, moving clinics and moving my frosties, I never thought I would EVER get a pregnancy and when I miscarried in July I thought that I had missed my opportunity altogther - I am 41. So to have 2 stick is absolutely a miracle and I think of it like winning baby lotto!!! And we will work out the details as we go along ...

Hi Ladies,

Can you help me putting a ticker in my signature? I have tried so may times and it isn't working. Could someone also update my status the roll call? I have my scan on the 24th November when I will be 7 1/2 weeks and my due date according to my GP is 11th July. I am also confused about how the weeks work. I'm 6 1/2 pregnant but I had my four week bt 3 weeks ago. I don't get it! Can somebody please shed some light on it for me?

How are you all going today? I'm sorry I'm not writing a personal posts. I'm just too tired today! The day has been horrible! I'm stress by work and then I'm stressed about being stressed! It sounds crazy I know!

Hope you guys are having a better day than I am!

Hi Ladies,

*Just adding GettingDesparate and fixing the list so that we are in order :) to make it easier to follow

Hope everyone is doing ok.....im getting so excited, not long now before i go to the airport and board the plane to WA :smiliedance: although i do hope this bloody period like pain goes away its giving me the sh*ts :( oh well thinking positive.

Good to see the roll call getting longer.

GettingDesparate - I have updated you in the list. in terms of your signature....follow the instructions and then when its complete if you scroll down there will be two windows with codes in it.
Copy the code from the second window and paste it in your signature (you have to go to edit signature first). it should come up automatically. Hope this makes sense.
Sorry to hear you are having such a bad day :hugs:

Hi GettingDesperate,
It is very confusing when you know exactly when we are pregnant with IVF, but so that the Dr's and nurses dont get confused they go off starting your 40 weeks of pregnancy from day 1 of your last period. This also only works on a 28 day cycle, so doesn't account for those with shorter or longer cycles. But it is only a guide to a due date, at work we classify a term pregnancy anywhere between 38 - 42 weeks.
Try this site, this helped me to work it out :)
www.ivf.ca/duedate.php (http://www.ivf.ca/duedate.php)

Hope your day gets better ;)

P.s when I cut and pasted my ticker onto my signature it came up with a heap of jumbled words and then when I hit the preview button it appeared......... then I saved it, hope this helps :D

bourbon11646
18-11-2010, 16:30
Sometimes if your signature is too long the ticker won't work, try shortening a bit so it fits onto a couple of lines then submit and like what was mentioned go to 'ticker' at very top of screen, follow instructions and copy and paste second paragraph under your signature. Hope that helps?

Trying - I'm great thanks for asking :-) I'm 19 weeks today and still can't believe I'm preg lol! Have my morphology scan tomorrow so very excited to be seeing bubbs again, feels like ages since my last scan 4 weeks ago. My bladder is driving me insane though, constantly on the loo!
Hope all is well with you, I'm still stalking lol :-)

Bourbon - thats great about getting to see bubs again :) fill us in on the outcome.....i know what you mean about going to the loo many times a day......im only 6 weeks (almost) and have already increased my trips by at least double.

The only thing thats getting to me now is back and lower stomach pain....i hope it goes away soon.

i'm heading your way in a few hours so cant wait to relax :)

My hcg at 16dpo was 773 and at 18dpo it went to 2277 then at 21dpo it went to 14217 and at 24dpo it was 29247 - I had lots of tests done because I didn't believe that I was preggers:gloomy: and then I started to spot which did my head in even more!!!

But spotting has become a daily occurance now from light pink to the darkest brown - it just feels like I am leaking a little bit but often TMI I know but I guess that's my old uterus catering for the bubs - I hope:) and nothing more sinister - I wish I had a dildocam at home to check daily:yes:especially while spotting!

I'm so glad to see so many of the Oct IVF gals here!

Could someone pls add my EDD of 04/07/2011 to the rollcall?

I'll be a little absent over the next month or so du to 24/7 'morning' (yeah right) sickness. Luckily no vomitting, but I feel seasick all day with piercing migraine style headaches and bouts of feeling faint......it's so bad I've cut work down to three days a week.

How's everyone else coping?

19-11-2010, 06:10
Hi Girls

Just wondering - I had really bad morning sickness on Tuesday, like dry heaving, dizzy, feel gross all over

This has slowed down and I am actually feeling really energetic, healthy and getting up at like 6am instead of 9am like I normally do!

Is this normal?

tryingreallyhard
19-11-2010, 10:18
I knew I posted too soon :( My HCG has fallen so I will miscarry soon. I just wanted to wish you all the very best on your pregnancy journey.

* Lurker alert :laughing: *

Tryingreallyhard - Im sorry to hear your hcg has fallen, i always feel so sad when this happens to people. I had that also during one of my cycles and its heartbreaking :hugs: I guess the only comfort i can offer is that it is our bodies way of saying something wasnt normal with the baby and that fingers crossed you will have a healthy and strong bfp very very soon.

Greenapple - i felt the same way you do, i havent even had hardly any morn sickness the whole way through, i only get queasy if i am slightly hungry, as soon as i eat im fine. It is totally normal and healthy to be feeling great and to have symptoms change around constantly.

Mell - Its good you were able to cut down your work hrs a bit, i hope that helps you. Also make sure you eat frequent small healthy things it has worked a treat for my morn sickness. I find myself getting queasy like sea sick at exactly 10am every day like its a call for food! As soon as i eat something, a cracker or fruit etc i feel totally fine.

Ibella - its so scary but spotting is quite common in ivf pregnancies and can be totally normal for some women. As long as everything else is looking good you should be fine

Tryingtostaypositive - are you on your feet all day? I havent had any back pain but im lucky enough not to have to work at the moment so im not standing alot which helps. Have had tum pain though, but think of how big our uterus has to stretch and change!

AFM: I dont want to talk too much about myself because this is your thread, im just stalking some girls i have cycled with :highfive:
Quick update.. had my morphology 19week scan and bubbs was very active, wouldnt sit still! So amazing to see. Its second toe on the right foot is slightly bigger than its big toe and the u/s lady asked DH and I if we have that and its exactly the same as DH feet
All looking normal, no cleft palate or problems they could see.. phew..
Didnt find out the sex, we are having a surprise but i was very curious and trying to work it out for myself from the scan lol..

HaileesMummy - this is going to sound really weird but your post gave me some perspective on things. I think you have me mixed up with someone else as we have 6  waiting for us in the New Year. Thank god it isnt our last chance. We have a few chances left yet. Thank you for making me remember coz until you did I really was thinking this is the end of the world but it's not . Im still devastated of course but now looking to the future with our 6 little frosties (after a weekend of feeling sorry for myself and having a good cry with DH). Back on the horse in 2011!!!!!

Trying - I am sorry that you haven't gotten the news you were hoping for! IVF is never easy! I was sitting in the waiting room today for my bloods to be done, and this young lady started asking me questions about having a break and stuff I would definitely recommend having a life over xmas and getting back into it in 2011. May 2011 bring you and your DH positive news xx

AFM - I had my regular BT today (on the day it's suppose to be on) and 15DPO it came back 377. As I had a BT on Tuesday due to the cramps and sickness I had, I wont need another test now! Just waiting around for my 6 week scan! The tiredness has kicked in, though I am not feeling gooey or yucky any more, I think I will put that down to stress of the BT. Could of smacked my DP over the head before, we went for a drive to drop something off to someone and I was soooo hungry as was he. Although I had breakfast I would of been able to eat my arm off. My DP didn't have any food at all since last night. Anyway he asks can we stop at KFC so I agreed as I wanted a bottle of water ... Ladies OMG - do you know what it's like to sit next to someone eating KFC when you know you can't / shouldn't / don't want to eat it? I thought I was going to kick him out of the car at one point ... The smell made me soooo hungry it wasn't funny!! Nanna nap time for me now :) xx

AFM - well currently relaxing in my beachfront villa in Mandurah WA and can i say this is such a beautiful place. Cant wait to venture out to other places.
Question for everyone....I know you dont 'eat for two' but have any of you been feeling hungry a lot of the time? and by that i mean you have brekky and then about 1 or 2 hours later you are starving as if you've never eaten anything? thats how i have been feeling lol its badddd

Trying - I have found from the very beginning I dont always eat huge amounts but do need breakfast early then smack on 10am a small snack (fruit or crackers etc) then lunch, snack in arvo then early dinner.
They say we need to eat for 1.2 people but it's the healthy nutrients bub needs more of.
Eat when u feel sick or hungry- we r building another human being & need more fuel!!

Good morning .... You probably wondering why I'm on bh at 6:30am but I have a very reasonable excuse .... Morning sickness ... It's kicked in very strongly lol!!! Been awake 15 mins and already had a throw up :( lol ... I think now the thought of me being pregnant is all that more bit real ...I'm browsing around bh hoping it will keep my mind busy and thoughts off being sick lol!!

For those who have been pregnant or are further along then me -- what are some foods you suggest avoiding? I had vegemite and butter saos last night

Goodmorning Ladies,

Greenapple - they say to avoid spicy and high acidic foods.
Try having dry toast or a plain bikkie to ease the sick feeling

Babycatcher - Im here on holidays and live in Sydney so will be having the baby there

Bourbon - I am the same lol Joys:laughing:

:wave:HI Ladies Hope you don't mind me joining in , I am little nervous about doing so , so early on but hell I have to believe this one is going to stay around.

My due date is 18 July . After 4 years 3 mc's ,we finally have our little bub growing inside. A little back ground on us MF & Egg issues moved onto an ED this year after 10 failed IVF cycles with my eggs - 2 chem pg's. First ED FET was in July this year and miscarried at wk5 - diagnosed with elevated NK cells- which kill off the embryo like a cancer, so have been put on prednisone to keep these nasties at bay and so far it seems to have worked

First Bt hcg was 1770 2nd BT hcg was 5600@ 21dpo. Saw FS last thursday @ 5wk3days and she did a development scan and we have healthy sac and blob , as much as it was still very early she said our little beanie ticked all the boxes so far.
We go back this thursday for the heart beat scan. I get excited and soo nervous about these .

As for MS i have good days and bad days- although the 2am wake up has become pretty standard. It so hard to keep reminding myself that it is still early days and not everyone gets every sysmptom of MS .

I look forward to getting know you all as we share this amazing part of our lives together:hugs:

Good morning! Hope everyone is healthy and happy!

Just curious, who has read their IVF pregnancy info pack? I read it this morning while having breakfast and I was stumped at the blighted ovun and no fetal heart beat points

My 6 week scan is on the 3rd December (next Friday) and I am now nervous as heck! I went from excited to see the baby and how much it has grown to now dreading hearing bad news :S

Does anyone know the statistics of pregnancies that do not go any further then 6 weeks due to either blighted ovum or no heart beat?

Trying not to stress myself out, but when you read things like that, it scares the beegeebus out of ya!

Haileesmummy and Trying2staypositive Thanks for lovely welcome .
By the Thursday ( HB Scan ) this week you will probably think i am a complete parnoid neurotic:D I'm not really !!
I hate this MS symptom thing it comes and goes and is doing my head in . I had to POAS just to make sure it was still there as i was feeling "too normal"- it was

I know we saw our little blob last week but i am still so paranoid something will go wrong between now and Thursday and the nk cells will rear their ugly heads - they wont though they will stay away .

Greenapple all those stats really don't help when it comes to staying focused .

Have a great day :goodvibes::sunshine:

Hi Ladies!

I hope you all had a good weekend! It was scorching in the west I saw! Hope you all got through it OK!

Firstly, welcome MelK:wave:! Congratulations on your :bfp:! This is a crazy ride!

Tryingreallyhard - I'm so sorry to hear your news! I hope you are looking after yourself! Thinking of you!

Ivygreen - How are you going?

Babycatcher - Thank you for your help with the due date! I went to the site you suggested and now I'm more confused. It said my due date is 7th July. I'm going to see my FS next week so hopefully she will give me more idea!

Bella1 - How are you travelling? How are your two little bubs going?

Greenapple - It is torture when your hungry and there's nothing you can really eat! I had to buy a banana the other day while I was out just to be able to wait for lunch! I'm also struggling with concentration! It's a nightmare getting anything done! I have so much work to do but I have to do it in small amounts!

Trying2staypostive - I hope you are having a wonderful holiday enjoying a well deserved relax!

HaileesMummy - I hope your going well! I have had terrible hayfever too! I went into the chemist the other day and they gave me a tablet that is A graded, the same as panadol. I have taken it once but I'm nervous to use it. I had to have it the other night to ensure I got some sleep! It is a nightmare though!

 to anyone I have missed! I hope everything is going well for you!

AFM - I am feeling more sick by the day! I haven't :barf: . So in my most positive voice - That's not going to happen!! My diet is slowly being limited as everything is making me feel worse! I am just craving carbs and salt! I'm struggling with red meat! I have my scan on Wednesday so I'm getting excited and nervous all at the same time!

Enjoy your day!!

Hi everyone

tryingreallyhard - thinking of you. It's hard not to come across and post so early - we all do. I hope you're looking after yourself and good luck for a strong bfp really soon.

greenapple - I completely agree with you about concentration span and I haven't told anyone at work so I wonder what they are thinking of me at the moment - I am certainly not effective.

Haileesmummy - I have hayfever as well and I am taking becanase nasal spray. it works for me and the doc seems to think because it is localised it is fine - I hope so but without it I cannot function.

Trying2staypositive - Are you still on holiday? What a perfect time to take a holiday! Oh and yes I am hungry all of the time. People are noticing and I have even had a few comments...

bourbon - hi, how are you?

Melk - welcome and congrats. Looking forward to sharing the journey ahead.

Babycatcher, lindysloo, lucky23, 1bella, mellLs71 - how are you all going?

Gettingdesperate - I really can't say well but thanks for asking. I need carbs and salt too which is very unusual as I am usually a sweet tooth. Good luck with your scan on Wednesday.

Afm - I had a shocking weekend. Slept lots and suffered ms all day. Oh and I did something really bad tonight...I rarely eat junkfood like KFC or Mcdonalds (maybe once a year). Well I cannot stomach vegies so tonight I satisfied a KFC craving. Tell me how bad I am because I don't want this to become a habit but I did feel good afterwards and still do. I eat lots of fruit to make up for it?!?

Enjoy the night.

Hi Girls ... It's getting busy in here and I can't keep up with my preggo brain and blonde hair ... it's all too much :)

AFM .. I am constantly spotting which is slowly driving me crazy and with FS appt a whole week away it was just too much. Went to GP today to request a scan which I was lucky enough to get one. Bubs are doing great with A's HB 139 and B's HB 144 all measuring the right dates and sizes... are placed towards of the end of the uterus. Just the pressure of the scan was enough to start another small bleed - so it's just going to be one of THOSE pregnancies:(

So it's my blood on the loo paper not the embies they aren't going anywhere.

I cant be a passenger in a car I now get motion sickness and am gagging on fresh air. I feel like I had a good night on the town and it's the day after but with no big night out!!

 Ladies,

Greenapple - try to stay positive and not read too much.....eg. i havent done a blood test since my first one for the BFP and that is simply because i dont have the strength to worry anymore, so i decided if its meant to be then its meant to be thats it! lol goodluck with your scan on the 3rd.

MelK - not paranoid at all just normal  i guess i will give you the same advice as greenapple and that is remain positive and try not to read into the symptoms (or lack of) too much. Goodluck with your scan :)

GettingDesparate - I am so enjoying my holiday I still dont want to go back to work lol.
About your MS, i just hate that lingering feeling, its either vomit or dont with me lol regarding cravings i have also been craving the same things :)

Ivygreen - yes i am still on holiday until this sunday :D
That s*cks having to suffer MS all day  I would say dont worry about having the odd junk meal or two obviously as long as its not on a daily basis you should be right!

1bella - thats great news about your babies. Now (not trying to sound like your mother) but can you please try to take it easy and relax  I know its easier said than done but as you said you dont need the stress otherwise you will spot some more.
Regarding the car sickness DH and I just drove to the Margaret River and back and i was mainly feeling sick in there too....i think i may be heading that way eek!

 to everyone else i missed.

Ivy! Don't stress bout kfc!! It's so not going to hurt bubba! They have all the goodness they need (which i can only imagine is the potato from chips, and lettuce and chicken Brest meat and dairy from the cheese) lol doesn't sound so bad now hey??!!!
Seriously the bub will get good bits from anything u eat so don't panic!

How is everyone traveling?? I'm 8wks, 1day today and not had m/s for 3 days now!! Woo hoo!!!!!! I am still full of hayfever and tired as but no m/s is good!!:-)

Thinking of u all. xoxo

Ugghh emotional much?? Crickies!!! I just had a fit at poor dh coz he was putting the dishes away ( coz I'm far too tired to even think bout housework) then I went on a tearful fit coz he was watching the yucky crab fishing show on austar and I hate looking at those crabs and I went off. I feel terrible and very silly now I've calmed down. Poor dear has been up since 5am for work, he picks hailee up from daycare for me, makes me dinner, tells me I'm his beautiful pregnant sexy wife then I yell at him for putting dishes away and for watching a tv show he likes????????
Poor hubby has now popped me into bed and I needed to tell someone how silly I feel!
Ms back with avengence, so tired can barely keep my eyes open, my brain is goodness knows where, I can't get up outta bed unless it's to pee 500 times a night, and I'm looking like a fatty more and more every day!!! Lol. Oh dear, I'm having a shocker of a day! Makes me sound ungrateful but please don't think I am. I am just so confused as I never had any of this when preg with Hailee I guess it's just a shock!
Anyway, I have a dr app Friday and hope to get another scan soon booked in!! Can't wait to see bub a little less blob like!!;-)
I hope u r all traveling along nicely and that u r not as crazy as I am atm!!
Luv and hugs to u all.

Hi

I havent posted on here for awhile as not much has changed with me! I have still been reading most days and keeping up to date with you all.

However.... I had my weekly bt on monday (which my clinic counts as 6 weeks) and my hcg came back as 29,400, which to start with I thought that was ok and quite high... then I looked back to what it was last week and it was 16,700. So it hasnt doubled??? Am I stressing over nothing???
My calculations I am 7 weeks tomorrow. Does anyone else still have weekly bt? and what are your levels doing? I have my scan next Monday and another bt, but think I will go crazy before then. What do you all think??????

14 dpo- hcg 200.
19 dpo- hcg 1630
26 dpo- hcg 16700
33 dpo- hcg 29400 ??

ps.. could someone please change me on the roll call. my 7 week scan is the 29th November not december! my bad!

Good morning Ladies,

Haileesmummy - :hugs: sorry to hear that you had a bad day with emotions etc. Im sure DH understands that some people get like that when pregnant. But if not, just talk to him and apologise in advance for any other outbursts and explain to him why it is happening. I hope you feel better today!

Lucky23 - Did the nurses say that it was something to worry about? Sorry i can't help you out with my numbers as I chose not to continue doing blood tests for that exact reason - i couldnt handle anymore stress. :hugs: Just try to relax and if you are very worried call the clinic. Good luck with your BT and Scan on Monday.
I will update you in the roll call very shortly.

mincazz - thank you for your well wishes, i'm sure the lovely ladies in here will get to know eachother and myself over the next several months :)

AFM - nothing much to report, still on Holidays in WA which I am loving especially the beach view from the villa :)
My scan is on Tuesday and I can't wait! I am glad though that we are on holidays so I am pretty much occupied.

Hope you are all feeling ok today :hugs: to all!

Lucky - it's nothing to worry about, your levels have still gone up alot, mine never doubled then either and I thought the same as u did but I'm now 20 weeks so all was fine. T2SP- thanks for responding. Sounds like you are having a lovely time in Mandurah, its a lovely spot hey, and the weather has been perfect for you aswell. Thanks for udating me on the roll call also!
Cant wait to hear about your scan on Tuesday, so exciting... Do you know if its transvaginal or normal scan?

Bourbon- You made me feel so much better THANKYOU!!! Im such a stresser this week.
Im glad your scan went well last week.
Where abouts in Joondalup is Mother and Me? is it in Lakeside? I know its early days but I dont have any shops up here so was just going to get some things on monday(when I have my scan)as I wont be back to Perth until mid Jan when I see Dr Neppi.

Hi to everyone else! Are you all still having heaps of symptoms? Im still not!! but not complaining. My mum and sister never had morning sickness with their firsts either.

Just a quick question. I LOVE KFC and I live in remote country WA where we have no takeaway(how sad is that!) I was on the understanding that you cant have cooked takeaway chicken whilist preggers unless you cook it yourself? but some of you girls have had it?? please tell me its fine to have it then I will be getting some in Perth this weekend!!!

AFM- I called my favourite nurse this morning and told her how i was concerned about my results and she said its perfectly fine and because i had such a huge jump between 19dpo and 26dpo bt, its kind of peaked and will probably not rise so much again.
So Im feeling much better, just really looking forward to my scan on monday.:flowerz:

Lucky - so glad to hear that you are feeling more positive now.
in regards to take away I have had so much of it lately but have cut down now:laughing: and when i get back to Sydney will be eating more and more healthy.

I guess they mainly say dont consume cold chicken due to the possibility of listeria. If you want KFC just make sure that is very hot and has not sitting there for a while. if you are unsure tell them you are pregnant and want your pieces freshly cooked  im sure they'll be ****ed about it but should be able to cook them fresh for ya :)

hope that helps :)

Hi Ladies

Haileesmummy - thanks for the reassurance. It did taste so good but I haven't had it since. Extreme tiredness, MS, hormones - I think your emotions are understandable so hopefully your dh is understanding (he sounds it).

Cazz - it is really nice to hear how much support you got and the friendships you made - we will certaily need it. Thank you.

lucky23 - I see others have the answer to your question. It sounds normal. I wouldn't know I had 2 early blood tests and haven't had one since. Good luck with your scan on Monday. Also, in regards to the chicken I heard it is cooked chicken that is cut up, left to go cold and used in sandwhiches not hot chicken - I hope this is right!

Trying2staypositive - beach from your villa...ah I'm jealous.

Gettingdesperate - wonderful news. It is so good to get these reassurances along the way.

Melk - good luck tomorrow.

Greenapple - I know how you feel. I also have it all day. Dealing with kids in a classroom and feeling sick doesn't go down well. I actually haven't thought about baby shopping yet; still a little nervous. I did shop for myself today though and that was fun.

AFM - I'm looking forward to second scan on Monday. Other than that just trying to get through each day. DP is wonderful - I have been getting dinner every night.

Hi Ladies

Just a quick one from me! Is it normal to have fluctuating pregnancy symptoms? Yesterday I was off, today I feel fine! No sore breasts, I feel normal. I had an awful dream last night that I was going to miscarry, now this is playing in my mind :(

Trying2StayPositive

Goodmorning Ladies,

Greenapple - I think it is normal, thats what happens to me i can feel sick or have bad heartburn for a period of time and then feel fine like nothing ever happened.
I too had a dream a couple of nights ago that i saw blood whilst wiping down there....that freaked me out, but I think they say that you have weird dreams when you are pregnant. I guess as long as your not seeing blood now thats the main thing and try to just rest.

Regarding shopping, i dont think i will start until ive passed the 3 month mark and probably even a while after that.......I am though enjoying every minute of my pregnancy and hoping for the best for my scan on tuesday.

Ivygreen - Im jealous of you....dinner every night from your DP! Ive been making brekky lunch and dinner for DH instead of the other way around lol good luck with your scan on Monday :)

Part of me is expecting the worst anything better is a bonus!! Amazing how we are so early pregnant yet dp and I are so attached to our bibs already!! Dp sends him/her SMS all the time telling it to be nice to me :) so cute!! I would be heart broken if something went wrong at our scan!! I called fs and asked if there was a possibility of snot her bt to check things are normal and he said my levels were perfect and to stop worrying lol ,,, I guess I need to follow his advise hehe

Greenapple - no worries, good to know you feel a bit better. i too am worried about my scan on Tuesday but trying not to think about it too much. That is cute about you and DP being attached to bubs, i think thats what helps relax you anyways. DH and I have named our little pea and after Bourbons advice i do talk to the pea alot  obviously on my own otherwise people will think im nuts.

if you do follow your FS's advice you will be fine, take it easy and enjoy it :hugs:

Hi ladies

Greenapple - I hear ya honey! Im 5.3 weeks today and my morning sickness ( ha! all day sickness) has REALLY kicked in  Ive been off work the past 3 days in between temp jobs and have been feeling great...my first day back at work today and I woke up at 1am feeling violently sick and it hasnt stopped!!! Im working as a temp on reception and popped to the loo earlier to retch and pee for the 50th time and there is a 60yr old PA woman here who was sat at my desk when I got back telling me off for leaving reception!!! Silly moo!! Its totally dead in here!! Good job im only here for 4 days. Im so bored...

Im so nervous about my scan next week, last time at the 6-7 week scan it was when our nightmare started with my missed miscarriage even though we saw the heartbeat at the scan :( Dont think I could go through that again. But think its a good sign that im feeling so crappy already. We havent really taken it all in and believed it yet...waiting waiting waiting for the 1st December - please let it be ok!!!

How many of us mothers to be had 2 embryos put back in?

Sorry for lack of personals, havent posted in here much yet so need to get to know everyone!

Anyone had any cravings yet? On Tuesday I couldnt get enough of avocado, but yesterday it was my boyfriends birthday and we had a little bbq with friends and I was preparing some avocado for burgers and it was making me feel so sick! Now I cant bear eating it, how strange that ive gone from loving it to hating it in one day!! Im also craving cheese rice crackers and beans on toast :)

Take care everyone and bubs and have a nice day

Quick question, has everyone decided on the hospital they are going to give birth at? DH and I would like to go to North Shore Private in Sydney......If you have decided where will you be going?

1bella
26-11-2010, 03:37
I'm or rather we :xmas: are going to the Mater Private in Brisvegas... I wanted to go to another hospital but with multiples on board things could go premmie and would have to move anyway so I thought why fight it :)

Today I brought a whole watermellon because that is ALL I want to eat other than rice crackers!!! I didn't eat the whole thing by the way but it was there if I needed it

Even opening the fridge with beautiful food in it makes me want to vomit - actually everything makes me queezy today!!

The spotting is giving me a rest and it's nice to have nothing on my pantyliner for the past couple of days - Oh the joys.

I've got a fair bit of streching crampy feelings going on from time to time and I am sure there is some round ligament stuff going on too - saw a very heavily pregnant woman with one bub today and cringed that I might be like that but worse - better get DP to make me a belly trolley just in case :laughing:

This is my goodluck to everyone and goodbye post:crying:

Had my 8 week scan today and no heart beat, they sent me up to the hospital and reapeated ultrasound and no heart beat. So Im booked for a D & C for Monday since I'm not bleeding or in pain. Embryo was growing, placenta still developing, pregnancy symptoms still there but no heart beat.

Sucks big time, so it's back to the drawing board for us since we have no frosties.

I have cried and cried and cried and it hasn't helped.

Hopefully everyone else is travelling well, maybe i'll be back in a couple of months.

Babycatcher- there are no words that could express how sorry I am for you and your dh right now. Im sitting here having a cry for you. It is just sooooooooooo unfair and it sucks so much. Please take care of yourself as best you can and know that we are all sending you massive hugs..:hugs:

Melk- congratulations on hearing your bubs hb, it must be so exciting.

Haileesmummy-hope you are feeling better. Well done on your scan, its awesome news.

hello to everyone else  hope you are all still doing well, especially you girls with the morning sickness! have a great weekend.

AFM- had a scare yesterday, warning TMI, when I wiped there was a small amount of blood, I FREAKED out. Mainly because of my levels not doubling as much this week as they had been. I called the clinic and the nurse said, well yes your levels didnt double as fast this time and your E2 has dropped a little, great.... but they are still good for 6 weeks. anyway long story short, I got an ultrasound done and only at the very last second did she find a heart beat..She doesnt specialize in ob stuff, so I think she wasnt very experienced in doing it. She didnt tell me how fast it was beating or anything(and I forgot to ask)or how big it was just that there was a fetal pole, sack, egg yolk and heart beat. I still dont feel safe We are leaving for perth tonight and have our scan on Monday so I am praying it will all be ok. Will let you know x

DH won't let me lift a finger and I woke up this morning to him having cleaned the kitchen, done the dishes, put some washing on, got the cat in, cleaned the bird cage, kept hailee quiet and entertained and vacuuming!!! Is he the best or what?!?!! Now he's taken hailee to the Christmas parade in the city and given me strict instructions to go back to bed!!!
I am hopeful to be up and about a little more tomorrow and get ready for work Monday.

Omg I am so sick of feeling like I've been hit by a truck! It's getting beyond a joke! 5 days now and I've barely been outta bed - unless it was for a toilet stop (I won't divulge tmi) or to go to the hospital. I am not meant to be feeling this way! I'm meant to be happy and content.... Nope! Poor dh is doing everything while I'm laying around feeling sorry for myself! It's not fair on him. I have no idea how I'm ever going to cope at work tomorrow. I can't even get myself a drink without feeling ****! Ladies,

Well its good to be home, but loved my holiday! I am just very tired and in a bit of pain ATM so going to keep this one short and sweet.

Haileesmummy - :hugs:so sorry to hear that you are still not feeling the best and please dont apologise for ranting, thats why we are all here through thick and thin :).

If I may add my 2 cents worth in just as a suggestion......take the next couple of days off work if you can......that way that would be one thing off your mind and you then can rest and focus on getting better. I say this to even my staff members as I would rather they recover over a few days then be sick for weeks etc.

I know its hard to think that DH is doing everything on his own, so my other suggestion is (speaking from experience) just tell him how you are feeling and that when you get better you will do something nice for him etc (obviously without promising the world )
At least then you would have gotten all that off your chest and again can focus on yourself. Most of the times feelings of worry and frustrations of the limitations you have can often result in you getting worse physically as you are also tensing all those muscles in your body, so please if you are able to start by taking a couple of days off and focus on getting better (thats putting my counsellor's hat on now )

I hope you get well soon and :hugs: again.

Keep us posted! and sorry for the long post lol

Hi ladies,

I have been following the thread throughout the weekend! I feel like I really can't complain about what I'm going through! It is nothing compared to Babycatcher! I really can't even imagine how devastating the news would be! It really puts things in perspective! Every moment is so precious!

HaileesMummy - I have also been thinking of you!! I'm feeling unwell but nothing compared to you! I hope you are on the mend! Thank goodness everything is OK with bub though!! What a relief having such a supportive DH!! What would we do without them!!

Bella - Good luck for your scan today! I hope your two little ones are doing well!

Trying2StayPostive - I hope you are still on your holiday high!! Work and reality always seem to arrive too quickly for me after a relaxing break! I have decided what hospital I'm going to in Canberra. It's Calvary Private in Bruce. It's about a half an hours drive away from our house but in Canberra there are not many good choices!! When I booked with my OB I had to specify the hospital.

MelK and Ivygreen - How was your weekend? How are you both feeling? Ivygreen, is your second scan today? I hope everything is going well!

Greenapple - I had two days of feeling great over the weekend! I think you should just sit back and enjoy the days where you have no symptoms! Hope you are well!

To everyone I have missed . I hope you're all well!

AFM - I really shouldn't complain but I'm finding that complaining to anyone else just ends up in me being critisized or being told I am lucky to have my DH! So I'm going to vent, please excuse me and understand that I really do love my DH and wouldn't be the same without him. BUT seriously! We are just arguing over the most ridiculous things at the moment. Rather than being understanding, he is getting so frustrated with me. For example, last Friday I was feeling the worst I have felt. He came near me with sushi and I was sure I have going to be sick. I had already asked him to walk behind me but he just didn't get it. I lost it and he said to me - well this is all new to me!! OMG as if it is something I feel daily and as use to. Ah, well I just had to get it out there. I know it's just because we are both stressed with work and my emotional state is a little shaky or should I say very shaky! Sorry for posting something that is so trivial compare to what some of you girls are going through!

I hope everyone has a good Monday! It's another gloomy day here!

BTW, if it's easier, my name is Myvanwy (or Vun) which is only slightly shorter than GettingDesperate so I'm happy for you to use that instead!

Hiya all - Scan today showed two perfect babies with great HB's and just the right size - could see little armies and leggies -- this is starting to feel like it's for real!!!

DP is just wonderful he is being so helpful and accomodating - This hasn't always been the case especially in the early days of IVF 1 & 2. So I am really appreciating his new ways :yelclap:

Hailee - no we are not from Tassie but every Christmas when we are swealtering away in the humidity and living in one little aircon'ed room only leaving to eat and pee - we have dreamed of a summer holiday in Tassie - This is our chance and we are taking it - Shame about those windy little roads :barf::laughing:

Hello Ladies,

I've been MIA for a bit, but you wouldn't believe the last week and a bit we have had. I can see that we have had quite a few happy scan results since the last time I've been on. Wohoo!! :yelclap: :yelclap:

My thoughts go out to babycatcher. It is just devastating to get the news that the pregnancy will not proceed. Take care of yourself, hun. :hugs:

AFM, well last Sunday I started bleeding, and I mean running down my leg bleeding. It was deja vue from my last miscarriage... Anyway, had a dildo scan on Thursday and the screen was completely empty. Suspected early miscarriage. Started looking into diagnosic tests for miscarriage and making appointments with specialists to sort out my big fat massive fibroid, the suspected cause of my recurring miscarriages. Anyway, blood test indicated ongoing pregnancy though. Bled again Saturday and Sunday. It was exactly the same pattern as last time. Went for another scan this morning to confirm the miscarriage and lo and behold there is a little blob with a perfect little heartbeat of 156. :smiliedance:
They could see some blood in the uterus, but well away from our little fighter... We live to fight another day. I have another blood test next week to keep an eye on my progesterone levels, which have slightly fallen, but apparently nothing to worry about just yet.

Sorry for the long blah, blah, but needed to share.

Hi everyone :)

Congrats to you all .. Wahoo!

My name is bec and I just for my confirmed BFP this morning.
I am already a mummy to an almost 2yr old daughter who I was lucky enough to fall pregnant with first fresh transfer, this time I am just as lucky as it was my first frozen transfer :)
We had 2 transferred so we are looking forward to seeing how many implanted!
Does anyone know anyway to tell if both implanted before having scan? I can't imagine so but thought I'd ask.

I am due around the 11th of August so far.

Yay for greenapple, glad everything looks well. How come u have to go back tho? I thought they only do that one before the 12wk scan?
I love going for ultrasounds tho, it's exciting to see how ur bubba grows, so surreal!

I haven't bought anything at all YET, it only a matter of time tho LOL!
I also have ALOT of stuff from my DD so if my lil one is a girl, I'm set! But I definately have all the big stuff, cot, bassinett, pram, carrier, I'm Just guna buy my DD a booster/car seat 8kg to 26kg so she's alright til she can no longer be in a car seat. The new bubs can have hers as it's the convertible one :)
Aslong as I dnt have twins I wnt have to buy much at all! Hahaha!

Wat about u? U couldn't help urself could u? Lol.!

Welcome Mrshoto :) congrats on your BFP!

I haven't brought anything just yet! I went looking yesterday and everything I looked at I procrastinated and thought no, I better not get it, because I know if I get blue, it will be a pink baby LOL!! I feel though this will be a boy baby though! Not sure if we will find out the sex of the baby, thinking we might as for the sex to be put on a card in an envelope and we open it a few weeks later ... or until we give in HAHA!!

Anyway the scan is just to ensure everything is ok! As MIVF do 6 week scan, which is very early, there really isn't much to see. There is a heartbeat but it's not able to be determined the BPM etc. So my next scan will be more comprehensive and tell us a bit more!Glad I got to see baby so early though, very lucky and soooo happy :) I think it's the first time I have seen my DP have a few tears in his eyes !! It was a very happy moment for us :) this of course is our first and our first real pregnancy :)

Hi everyone!

Just wondering what everyone hCG levels were when u first got ur BFP?

Stayingcalm
03-12-2010, 17:32
Hi ladies, hope it's ok if I join you! I'm due on 26 July. And it's twins! I had some heavy bleeding for a couple of weeks and I'm no spring chicken so my FS said I must be mentally prepared for neither to survive... so trying not to get too excited until a bit further along. But would be great to be part of this group and share the journey with people who understand a bit about what it's like to get to this point after the hard road of IVF.

Stayingcalm
03-12-2010, 17:35
Also, my hcg at first BT was 600 so I had an inkling it was twins. Totally freaked me out because I had been bleeding for 5 days so assumed I wasn't pregnant. Had just had a large glass of wine with lunch!

03-12-2010, 17:55

03-12-2010, 18:13
Hi stayingcalm - why would your FS say such an awful thing to you??? I'm 41 and expecting twinnies near my 42nd birthday and all is looking OK ATM... of course anything can happen but I think he's being a little grim to be honest!!!

My HCG at 16dpo was 773 - I didn't even go the twin thoughts as the 2nd emby was only 10cells at 4 days and the other one was an early blastie ... the little buggar stuck :) then 2 days later levels trippled!!!! I aslo spotted pretty consistantly for around 3 weeks and now it has stopped and I hope it stays that way!! But FS said it is the sacs pressig against each other that can cause it with the expansion of the uterus happening faster than a single preg!!

As for buying stuff .. I've being trying to decide which kind of stroller to get - these twinnines have to get out and about... I also got a doppler from ebay (I'm a control freak after IVF) and hoping I can use it from next week, I was also concerned about my belly so got 3 maternaty tops and a belly band. My mother sorts the clothing at the Vinnies warehouse so she is on the lookout for some good quality bubby stuff.... we still feel a little supersticious though but what the heck!
Good Luck and I hope you prove your FS wrong, wrong, wrong!!!

HaileesMummy
03-12-2010, 18:14
I had hcg 219 at 16dp2dt!!
Stayingcalm I am thinking of u. Try and think positive. We all get how hard it is to get ur bfp and I can't even imagine something going wrong now.
My first preg was natural with a diff partner and I bled from 15wks onwards heavy at first then it slowed to just a little when I wiped. But that was my placenta coming away and I got told a lot to expect a miscarriage. I delivered my baby girl 6 days late and she is now a perfect (albeit with attitude) healthy nearly 5 year old little lady!
Think positive, pray, whatever it takes to get u thru but I strongly believe everything happens for a reason and we are only ever given what we can handle. U r strong and we r all here for u no matter what.
Afm. I'm all good. Day 3 of no m/s and loving it. I have to eat to keep my tum full but it's working!!!!:-) craving healthy atm so that's a bonus!!!!
Thinking of u all. xxx

My bt was actually 10dp5dt and it was only around 40 but the dr didn't seem worried but I am a little!
He said every 24 hours it doubles or even triples so come back next week for another and it should be more than fine.
Apparently the actual number doesn't mean anything just aslong as they go up? Oh I hope so!

Although I do remember my first pregnancy having lower hcg levels, so fingers crossed.

Oh I just wish time would hurry and pass by so I can for scan, still 3 weeks to go :(

Aw, thanks all, appreciate the encouraging words. I was actually fine with my FS saying that - I'd been bleeding heavily & he said it very gently. He also said it was a great sign they had hung in to 6 wks, so I'm taking comfort that they are obviously tough! Inbetween feeling terrified & really sick, I'm feeling so amazed & joyful that this has finally happened. Yay for twins 1bella! And Haileesmummy, thanks for sharing your story, that's lovely. I'm a pray-er so that's a comfort.
And excuse my ignorance (haven't been on any forums until now!) but what's a doppler?

1bella
04-12-2010, 07:01
A doppler is a fetal heart rate monitor - it has a little probe with a speaker and it tells you how fast bubby's HB is going. I don't know how successful I'll be at finding it especially now there is 2 but it'll be fun trying - I brought it from USA through Ebay for $60 and $20 postage - a second hand one that was the same was the same price as a starting bid - I couldn't stop myself.

HaileesMummy
04-12-2010, 08:44

Hi everyone and congrats to you all on the BFPs! I’m very pleased to finally be eligible to join this forum :smiliedance:.

DH and I just received our second ever BFP (the first sadly ended in miscarriage at 6 weeks earlier this year). I had my first bt last week 15dpo with hcg of 368 then tested again 18dpo with hcg of 1600 so we’re very happy (though still very nervous because of history). This was our 8th embryo transferred on our 8th full stim cycle and we're due on the 8.8.2011. Hopefully 8 is going to be a very lucky number for us! So far it has been – we only had one (mature) egg retrieved and it fertilised and now I’m pregnant!!

I'm a bit worried that I'm not having any symptoms yet. Last BFP, I had really sore boobs, I was very tired and hungry all the time. This time, nothing! It sounds ridiculous but I wish I was nauseous and sore and tired!! I'm having bt's every few days to make sure my levels are rising so that’s comforting and I’m having my first scan at 7 weeks (can’t wait). I'm only 4 weeks and 5 now days though so maybe the symptoms are yet to come.

I was hesitant to join this forum; I thought I should wait until I’d passed the 6 week mark because that’s when I miscarried last time but then realised I should just be positive and assume it’s all going to work out (secretly, I have a good feeling it is going to work out).

Anyway, thought I’d say hello to you all and invite myself to join you on the pregnancy rollercoaster (I hear it’s a much better ride than the IVF rollercoaster – I’ve been on that too long!). I hope to be getting to know you all better over the next 8 months and beyond! :fingerscrossed:

Hi Ladies!

I hope you have all had a good weekend!

Welcome to Mrshoto, Stayingclam and Mel08!! Congratulations to you all for your :bfp:!! I'm 9 weeks and this is quite a ride! I'm looking forward to hearing your stories and wish you all the best for the next 8 months!!

AFM - I'm feeling so much better now. I just have to eat every hour. I'm snacking on nuts and dry fruit constantly. I had a bit of trouble booking my first trimester scan as it falls between Christmas and New Year. I'm going to have to have it on the 23rd. The lady at the imaging place said that it was too early but if I didn't have it then I couldn't have it until Feb. She was so mean and in my emotional state I almost burst into tears. I have read that you can have it between 11 or 12 weeks. I'm booked in to see the OB on the 7th January but I had to have all the results by then! It was stressful though I'm so excited about seeing bub again!

Talk soon! Vun

Mel - I also had a m/c at 5 weeks and just wanted to reassure u that the symptoms r different from pregnancy to pregnancy. In my first I had sore boobs and extreme tiredness and then this one nothing. Only a bit of nausea if I'm hungry. I'm nearly 22 weeks and so far so good so the fact u have no symptoms just means u r one of the lucky ones 
When u feel bubbs start to move it will reassure u more than any symptoms x

Hi to everyone else I read up on u all and glad to hear you all going well, enjoy x

Hi Girls! Hope everything is going well for everyone!!

Well I got something for the bubs, I couldn't help myself and the shop lady said it was the last one left at the shop and the stock will not be returning to Australia :( So I was faced with get it now and have it or wait and risk someone else gets it and I miss out and I wish later down the track I wish I had it!

So I got the most cutest rocker / swing - here it is! (I hope I can post a link?)
http://www.mothercare.com/Fisher-Price-DwellStudio-Cradle-Swing/dp/B002DHHYWK?_encoding=UTF8&

So happy with my buy :)

Anyway today, I call to organize my FS to do the OB and take care of me during pregnancy, the price was a little higher then I expected, though I didn't really know what to expect really! I also need to call my PHI and see what out of pocket expenses I occur with hospital stay too!

So whilst I was on the phone to the receptionist she is trying to find an available date / time for me to go for the first OB appointment. Then I bring up I have a scan on Monday coming to which she says what is that for? I said it was to check everything was ok as the 6 week scan we did we didn't see much except for a little blob and a heart beat (it was there but everything so small we didn't get a BPM or anything like that!)

Then she goes oh that's to confirm pregnancy, I was kinda shocked there for a minute, because the most recent appointment we had with the Dr confirmed it and he said everything looked great!

So now I am kinda stressed out that something was wrong and that's why I have to go back?!? I know he has many of his patients going back, but he said it was to put our mind at ease, he never mentioned anything about 'confirming pregnancy' ??

Hi Everyone

I just caught up after a weekend away and there seems to be a few to welcome...:wave:stayingcalm and mel08.

Mrshoto - :hugs:You seem to have already looked at the huge positive in your life so hugs and thoughts for the times you do feel sad. The whole process is not an easy one. Good luck with your future decision and in the meantime have a wonderful Christmas with your DD. At 2 she will have more of an understanding so should be fun.

Greenapple - I was told I could have second scan or not. My FS said most wanted it just to feel reassured and I certainly did. I'd have once a week if I could...

Haileesmummy - I decided on 12 week scan probably because of my age and also for further reassurance. I'll have it all.

AFM - have days now when I feel a bit better and not suffering from MS all day, everyday. Food helps.

Have a good night all.

 Ladies,

Stayingcalm and Mel08 - Welcome, I hope the next 8 months are smooth sailing for you both.

mrshoto - im so sorry to hear about your news :hugs:I am glad to read that you are looking on the bright side and may the new year bring you new hope and new life. Have a wonderful christmas.

Haileesmummy - my OB asked if I wanted to do that scan too. before i could answer he said "let me put it simply, will you have an abortion?" and i said No so he said "then dont worry about it" because basically they dont want you to worry throughout the whole pregnancy etc. So its up to you darl.

Greenapple - nice buy! it looks cool. Try not to stress about the reasons behind another scan it could be just for reassurance :) about your :barf:I would consult the doctor. If you cant keep water down, try juice or cordial and stick to toast, dry bikkies (not with water with cordial or juice) etc. Hope all goes well.

Ivygreen - good to hear your feeling a bit better :)

AFM - I have been MIA lately, mainly because i have been so tired and staying at my parents house over the weekend etc. I have to book in for the full diabetes tests and OB reckons he wants me to do 2 more over the course of the pregnancy.

Apart from that and being so tired and hungry I really have nothing to report. Cant wait for my next scan though which will be when i visit OB on the 14/01/2011. i hope everything is still ok :fingerscrossed:

 to everyone else i missed.

Hello everyone,

It's great too see our group is growing. Welcome Mel08 and Stayingcalm. It is such an exciting and nerve wracking time.

Mrshoto - I am so sorry to read your news. :hugs: I am so impressed how well you seem to be dealing with it. It wish all the best for the next year.

Lesley - I will defo go for the 12 weeks scan (if I get that far), mainly because from 12 weeks the risks of a miscarriage are decreased and before telling everyone our good news we want to make sure that it is in fact good. I had a couple of my friends go for their 12 week scan to find out they had a missed miscarriage a couple of weeks prior. They had no idea. So I just want to know that bub is doing well.

Staying calm - how are you going, luv? Has your bleeding settled yet? I have my fingers crossed for you.

Greenapple - I am suffering not that much from MS, just very slight nausea, but as T2SP and Ivy say, plain food seems to help.

AFM - after the high of seeing bub's heart beat on Tueday I have had more heavy bleeding. :( Blood test on Friday was still good, but Friday afternoon I bled quite a bit more. I was pretty sure that that was it. I have another blood test tomorrow, so we will see. The bleeding has settled since Saturday. Wish me luck.

Greenapple, that :barf: sounds horrible! I do think you should see your dr, if you can't keep anything down your body will be missing out on important nutrition. From experience of vomiting bugs I've had in the past, it might be worth getting some electrolyte mix from the chemist - it helps replace some of the minerals etc. that you lose when you throw up. Really hope you are feeling better soon!

Natalsche, really sorry to hear about your bleeding, it's so stressful! I've been comforted by hearing from lots of friends (and my mum!) who bled through their first trimester and had perfectly healthy babies. Hope those BTs keep coming back with great results.

AFM, I am doing OK except for constant nausea and tiredness. Eating every hour helps, but I think I've already put on a couple of kgs, I'm not used to eating so much! On the weekend I lay in bed eating toast and vegemite while my DH did all the housework - what a legend! He did look in on me at one point with a grin and say 'You seem to be taking to pregnancy very naturally'! Bleeding seems to have almost entirely settled, with just the occasional spotting. The only plus side to the bleeding drama is lots of BTs and scans - I have another scan next week (Wk 8).

GreenApple - Honey go see a DR that is not good to be that sick- they can give you something to help with that.

Lesly I too am having the 12week scan mostly to ensure all is ok with bub- as i am at a high risk of miscarraige due to an immune issue, i just need to check everychance i get.

Stayingcalm Hope you are doing well , good to hear the bleeding is stopping, rest up.

T2SP hope all is well

Natalsche hope everything is ok and BT shows bub is doing fine.

Thank you to you all for the welcomes and for the reassurances!
greenapple - that rocker is great! My SIL has one just like it and my baby niece loves it! I can't wait to start buying things. I probably won't until after 12 weeks though. Your MS sounds terrible! I’d would contact my doctor if I were you and see if they want to get you on an IV or something like that to keep your fluids up.
Mrshoto – I’m so sorry to hear about your M/C. I know how devastating it can be so am very pleased to hear how positive you’re being. I hope you and your family have a good Christmas and that next year is the lucky one for you!
Natalsche – I do hope the bleeding stops. It is so scary when it happens. Your little one seems like a fighter though so I hope all is still well in there. I have heard that some women bleed all the way through. Good luck with your test today. I hope the levels are rising nicely.
AFM I have just come back from another blood test. I woke up feeling really anxious probably because today is the same time I started miscarrying last time. I have a great boss who told me to stay home and watch movies instead of spending the day at work waiting for the result. I wouldn’t have been very productive at work anyway!! So now I’m going to settle in for a bit of a Jane Austen movie marathon!

:) Hi Ladies, I hope you dont mind me joining the thread! At the moment I am guessing that I am due 04 Aug 2010... But have not had my 1st scan yet. My FN was saying my 1st scan would be the 6th Jan and I worked out that would make me approx 10 weeks... I went for my 2nd BT this past Monday and my HCG lvl was 688... which is good I am hoping as my first BT was 77. But they have asked me to have another BT this Friday and next Thursday. They also fit me in with another FS for a scan on the 23rd Dec. I will be 8 weeks then. So I am a bit excited! :yelclap: Anyway cant wait to get to know you all !!!

WannabMum29 welcome and congratulations!! You're due just before me so hopefully we'll be in here together for a long time yet.

HaileesMummy - My hcg was 6,789 today at 21dpo so it's right on track. Feeling relieved but still anxious. I think I will feel anxious all week this week (and probably through the whole pregnancy). I've had some pain around the uterus area today too. Do you know if that's normal? I'm having another bt on Friday just to calm my nerves.

Natalsche - how did you go today? I hope all is well :fingerscrossed:

Glad it bt went well all is looking good!!! X

Hi guys ... off to see my OB's today - first visit - exciting and scarey all at once.

I have been feeling pretty ordinary to say the least especially over the weekend!! I woke up at my usual time 3.30am and felt rather normal including the no brick in my BB's feeling and thought WTF what's wrong I've lost the babies!!! But MS found me and I'm glad to say I've had three vomits already - so all is OK I hope:xmas:

Hi girls,
I thought I would join your group if that's ok :) Im 5 weeks and 6 days. I had my first scan last week coz my levels were high and ds thought it could be twins. (we put in 2) the scan showed one sac but we have another scan tomorrow to check again in case one was lagging behind. Can't wait to see hb for some peace of mind.

I've only been slightly nauseous and get soo worried if I feel fine. So funny. We will be cursing ourselves Im sure once real ms hits :) I also have had cramping. It's so scary even tho I've reAd it's normal.

Looking forward to sharing this journey with you all :)

Welcome wannabmum29 and hopefulnovember! Yes, now that I'm feeling sick all the time I've decided I could live with the anxiety of feeling fine! Really hoping I don't have 8 more months of this!
Mel08, that's great news! Hope you enjoyed your Jane Austen marathon - perfect way to spend a day.
Bella, all the best for today, hope it's reassuring.

Hi girls thought id join too.
Im 4 weeks and 5 days today.
Due August 13th.
I have a BT tomorrow, my initial BT at 15dpo was a level of 530.
It will be interesting to see that tomorrow's is.

At the moment I just have a little nausea here and there, no cramping, no sore boobs, just a bit of stinging either side of abdomen especially in the mornings, peeing alot, I actually had heartburn last night!! Ive never had that before so I was like "wtf is happening?" then I read my preg book and that explained it.. Haha.
Ive also got bloating so a lot of my pants and skinny jeans etc no longer fit.

My 7 week scan is on Xmas Eve :)

Hello Ladies,

sofiep, hopefulnovember and wannabmum29 - welcome. Wohoo for your BFPs. :yelclap: It is so exciting to get the news...

Bella - good luck today.

Mel - that's great news. Seeing the numbers rise has always reassured me. Fantastic that you get to see bub earlier. :smiliedance:

Greenapples - how are going, luv?

AFM - our little fighter is hanging on in there. :cloud9: My GP sent me straight for another u/s and there it was, little heart beating away. My fibroid will make things interesting, though. When my GP felt my tummy she said that it actually felt like 22 weeks. It's all a bit distorted in there.

Bella hope Obs appoint went well :reindeer:

Greenapple hope you are feeling better did go to the Dr? :hugs:

Hopefulnovember, Wannabeamum29 & Sofiep- Welcome and congrats on your BFP's - hope your 9 months are smooth sailing.

Nalasche - :smiliedance: little bub is doing fine just keeping mum on her toes from early on in life- they do say start as you mean to continue :p Great news

AFM bit a scare this morning first pee this am and there was all this browinsh (tmi) blood on the loo paper and in the crinone!
Not too paniced but concerned - had no cramping or anything though- rang Obs clinc and spoke to a midwife who said not to be to concerned but if cramoing starts or gets worse call back... not quite reassured I called our Mater Hospitals EPAU and spoke with a DR there who said the same thing but said the only way to be sure is to have an US, so am booked in tomorrow am for a US just to amke sure all is- otherwise i will go crazy between now and obs appoint next monday.. still no cramping or anything and still really tired- so :fingerscrossed: it's just one of those things .

Hi lovely ladies,
Its take me a little time to feel confident enough to move over onto this thread... But I guess, here I am.

I am 7 weeks today, and I think the 6 week scan that I had on Friday actually convinced me that there was something happening inside.

It looks like a few of you are like me.....not feeling any MS as such, so was a little concerned things mightn't be happening. But seeing the scan rested my worried head.. Otherwise, all I am feeling is tired....very tired.......

The littlie is due the 29th of July 2011, so guess we'll all be getting to know each other really well by then...

Hope to get to know you all a lot better.

Greenapple - Hey sweetie, see from the thread you haven't been having an easy time. All worth it though....I guess ;)

Hope you ok though...... xxx

Sofiep - Hi there  Hope your travelling along ok......
