Bourbon - I can totally agree! Imagine if the men were pregnant! I woke up this morning in a foul mood, like don't talk to me, I am angry at the world today mood. DP has copped it once and before he gets it again I told him go out and get out of the house, I don't want him in my ear all day! I think I am feeling a little stressed as I only took 2 days off work this year, haven't gone on a holiday, haven't seen my family, have a baby coming, have a messy baby room and need to get all the baby stuff and book and pay the hospital and ob/gyn. On top of running my own business (work)

Also to add, I have forgotten my next Dr appointment day and time and there is no way to speak to anyone at the clinic to ask when it will be as they are shut until the 4th. I am sure its 7:30am on the 4th January but then I am worried if I show up, there will be no appointment and I will have to go back OR I will not go and wait till I can call them and find out I missed the appointment and I have to reschedule for 2 weeks time (as the Dr is rather busy)

GAH - too much for me to think of right now, any wonder first day back at work I got out of bed at 11am?!?

AFM - Just read all your posts on DTD. I generally wait till im in the mood and then let DH know (because lately is hasnt been that often) :laughing:

Can i Just ask though, is it only my DH or have your DH's and DP's been experiencing 'pregnancy symptoms'? lol
My DH has been displaying the following........drinking a ridiculous amount of water, running to the loo every 30 mins or so to urinate and wakes up at least 5 times a night to urinate......craves certain foods, sleeps even more than i do etc etc

I freaked out at him the other day because i was like: seriously you're not pregnant LOL

T2sp!!! Yes my dh has been having some funny goings on too!!!!! He just thinks it's a joke but sleeping during the day for him is normally a no go... But he has been. He is drinking apple juice which he normally lives on fizzy drink. Funny isn't it!!! Just wish dh undetstood these hormones better!! Poor thing is so nice about it all but I wish I could explain it!!!! I'm sure sometimes he thinks it's just an excuse!!
Well we put the cot together this morning!! It's been in the shed since hails stopped sleeping in it so have to give it a good clean when I have the energy but it's up and in the room so I'm happy!!!!
Off to nap now!! Can't believe hidays are finished already!! Work tomorrow is not sounding nice at all!!'

I received confirmation for my booking for a 10 week pregnancy yoga class....I'm so excited. Now I just have to book my personal trainer again and then I should be sweet to start from next week!

As for dtd - Forget it, Dh has no hope in he'll of seeing any action fir now at least.

Afm 12 weeks today !!! And hit the FAT zone - boobs still growing , belly showing ( a lot to do with the progesterone & clexane I jections I am still on) but starting to feel really fat !! But all for a good cause .

I have been feeling really tired over the past couple of days. And the nausea has increased this afternoon. I am only 5 weeks and 2 days in. I can handle the tiredness but the nausea makes me feel really yucky. I suppose that it is a good sign of pregnancy so I should be glad.

I have just graduated from the December 2010 thread. Along with Pippi and Summa :yes: and many many others.

Was reading this post for a while now but a lil hesitate to join. Initially was thinking to wait for bub to have heartbeat then join. But the wait for BT and scans are killing me and really need to be in a thread for some support :o

Technically I would be entering my 6 weeks of :bfp: :cheerleader1:. I haven't been feeling much MS except some sore boobs. Hopefully bubba is doing well and continue growing. Sometimes it does worries me why haven't the MS kicked in yet. Is bubba still there?

My Week 6 BT is this Thurs and hopefully by then will have some date for HB scans.

Hey ladies, just popping on to say I had my 11 week scan today, bubs measured 4.96cm, though was bouncing around a lot so was hard to get a good measurement of him (much better word then IT LOL) Dr thinks we are all clear from here on in and just need to go to our 12 week scan next week.

AFM - My personal trainer called me yesterday and i have booked 2 sessions per week with him......so now i will do pregnancy yoga on monday nights, PT on Wednesday and Friday mornings..........Hopefully that would restore some of my motivation lol

T2SP & HM, Oh my gosh, I laughed when I read your posts - DP was lying next to me (at 9am - he starts at 730 usually) Like a log and whinging that he felt sick - honestly, who's pregnant here?! He's also usually very athletic but he's looking rather soft around the middle. Those things make me laugh but is your DP/DH moody? That's the one that frustrates me, he's supposed to be the understanding one. Evolution is a beautiful thing - all the stress hormones have him running around like a headless chicken trying to do things (that I don't want done lol) and making endless lists for the baby's room. I have a couple of scientific papers on how men's hormones change during pg, it's actually very interesting - probably written by men :)

Last night over dinner I told DH that now he has to work around my energy levels, that is, if I tell him don't nap that's because I have energy and can help him with the packing:laughing: otherwise I'm tired and need to lye down.

Went out and bought myself 2 maternity bras today as I felt like I was falling out of my normal bras. Wow! They are so much more comfortable!!! Got them for $12 each from K-mart...bargin!!

I have most of my Lucrin left - it's a little jar that cost almost $300. It's at mum's in Brisbane, I think I'll offer it to one of the girls cycling down there once I get past my 12week mark.

But other than that I don't have anything else. I'm still on Clexane and a hundred other things :heywhat:

Hello lovelies,

sorry I have been MIA lately, this pregnancy has been very challenging to say the very least. I have been reading everybody's updates though. Welcome to all the newbies.

I've been bleeding since week 6 now. I can count the days that I haven't wiped blood on one hand. I have had several gushes and various u/s. Bub is alive and well, happy as Larry on each u/s. It probably wonders what all the fuss is about.

I had my NT scan today and the results are not good. I have a 1 in 8 chance of Downs. But there it was, moving about looking gorgeous. The increase in risk is based on the blood results, not the scan. NT looked fine. They have told me though that my continuous bleeding is not a good sign either. I have been offered further tests, but I am so concerned about the risks of miscarriage... Which are even further increased if there has been bleeding or by the presence of fibroids, of which I have 3, one of which is the champ of all fibroids...

I am so confused and unsure what to do. On the up side, there is a 87% chance it will be alright.

Natalsche. I'm so sorry To hear things are not going so well! The bleeding is scary isn't it. I bled heaps when I was preg with dd. Carried full term tho. Drs and nurses also with dd told me from scans/bloods etc that she probably had downs and then spina bifida

She is 100% healthy and they had me worried outta my head for the whole pregnancy for nothing!! Looks like your odds of having downs are pretty ok?? I've read a lot into it and it's quite commen to get a high result such as urs but very rarely does bubba turnout with anything wrong!! Think positive babe!
I know nothing about fibroids etc but I send u hugs and wish u all the positive thoughts I have!!! X

T2SP - I know what u mean with the toilet issue. I take psyllium mixed with water each day and it keeps me regular.

Hi All! I got my NT results and they're not as good as I hope. It was 1:130 and although it's not terrible the norm for my age is 1:600. I'm going to have an amnio in Melbourne as I can have it earlier than here. I'm trying not to freak out but I'm wishing I never had the scan done! My DH keeps reminding me that it's less than .7% chance. I'm just struggling to be rational! Sorry this is a me post.

I forgot to say that my ob who I haven't met yet actual cancelled my appointment for Friday. He said there was no point having it until we know if the pregnancy is a goer!!!!! I mean not one should say that!!!!! He doesn't want to see me until I get my results!!!!! Argh! That has been going through my head non stop!! Now I've vented and it still sounds like a horrible thing to say!!!!!

I would do personals but for some reson it is not showing up everyone elses posts so I don't mean to sound insensitive or impersonable, but my preggie brain has lost all capacity to retain information - and I dropped my puter and it is stuffed so am using my partners and it's just not the same:computerprobs:

I am sorry to those who have had NT results that are causing concern - it's not fair that we should have to worry about it, I hope it all works out in the end. Nats - maybe the fibroids are causing the bleeding and the bloods to be distorted, is there a specialist fetal scanning person you can go and see to get a 2nd opinion before you do anything too invasive??? Big Hugs

Hailiey - you must have missed my post but mine came out really positive - with my age I had a 1:57 chance of downs but with the combined bloods and scan it came in at 1:1133 which was the best possible score for my age. Bubbies are both tracking perfectly so far!

I have ordered my twinnie pram online - it was a fantastic price and some fluffy mail - looking forward to going back to work to get these special deliveries - exciting times!

Would someone kindly put me up for a OB appt on the 17th Jan and a Morphology Scan on the 18th Feb please

These NT scans sure know how to create stress, I'm sort of glad I didn't end up having it.....although DH and I had a big argument about it as he claims he thought I was doing it next Friday and started accusing me of not telling him about it......mind you've mentioned it several times and my opinion......and also what the doctor told me and my response.........I love how men have selective memory.......anyways he even said that if we were at risk he would have got me to abort the pregnancy........that's when I saw red and told him so my opinion didn't count etc.........we were arguing for ilk half an hour about it......and I kept telling him this is the exact reason I decided not to do it so I don't have additional stress. Anyways all good now, he wants me to remind him in future about things like that so we can discuss it.....
As I said before who is pregnant me or him?

As for your ob, I wouldn't be happy to keep my appointment with him. Is there someone else you can switch to? A ver poor attitude and I wouldn't be able to put my faith in him if it was me.

To everyone else I have missed, hope you are going ok.

AFM - after our first scan no going so well I was so sure it was all over BUT we had a follow up one yesterday. The first thing we found out is i have an inverted uterus. Why has my FS never mentioned this?? I coulnt believe she never said anything. Anyway, By the ivf transfer dates yesterday I should have been 7 wks 3 days however the average measurement was showing 5 wks 6 days. One of them was 6 wks 1 day so we are not sure what is going on-if it's not developing properly or just a slow starter. The good news is that we saw a heart beat and it measured 112 bpm. I cried pretty hard when we saw it. I will never forget the look on DFs face.

So now we just wait, wait and wait for two weeks and then see how things are tracking. The most disconcerting thing is I still don't have symptoms other than being tired. I don't have sore (.)(.), no nausea etc which makes it hard to accept that there is a bubby growing inside me.

Well my litttle BEANIE IS THRIVING and DOING WELL

Todays scan went really well got a glowing report card.

Beanie is looking great although slightly alien like measuring 6.6cm in length and was sucking his fingers and poking out his tongue.

It was just amazing to see this little person.
To top it all off our risk factor has come in looking brilliant 1:15126 and 1.7mm tickness ( i owe alot of this to my gorgeous ED who was 28 at the time of EPU)
next milestone is the Morphology scan on the 21st Feb..
I feel like shouting it from the roof top now- we can confidently start planning for this little ones arrival :bottle:

Possie - again, fantastic news.:cheerleader2: I can only imagine your emotions at seeing that little heart beat. It is so, so precious. As you say, it might just have been a slow starter. Main thing is, it has a heart beat.

T2SP - uhhh, I would have had a major row as well. I got really angry for you, just reading that. I think men sometimes just really don't have clue. But we love them anyway.

GD - chin up, sweetie. Try not to stress too much. As DH says, 99.3% bubby will be perfectly healthy. Take one step at a time. Wait for the amnio result, I'm sure it'll be fine.

Bella - yay, for ordering the pram. It's great when you can actually start getting ready for your precious babies. Regarding the fibroids, I am sure that they are making this whole thing more difficult than necessary and I agree that it would not surprise me if they were the cause of the bleeding.

AFM - yesterday my OB's practice called as they had received my results. As my own OB is on holidays at the moment they asked if I would like to see his associate tomorrow morning. I must say I felt all cared for, it was lovely!! So we are seeing him tomorrow and have a chat. I have read up a bit on down syndrome now, and although DH and I would have to do more thinking and talking, it all does not seem quite as daunting. We will see what the OB says about the risk factors involved in any diagnostic test in my particular case. One step at a time. It's all very emotional and I must admit that I feel a bit drained at the moment. Also, my mum went back home to Germany yesterday. I wish she could have stayed longer, it was lovely to have her around the last 4 weeks.

Sorry, lack of personals today. Just wanted to update that FN rang and my blood test today was good. HCG - 4598 (5weeks 2days pregnant). Next blood test will be 13.01.2011 and then heartbeat scan the week after.
Can't wait.

Yay highhopes!! That is really good to hear! I kinda wish that I had more BT's so I can see for myself that it is progressing!! I suppose it is because I am under going ivf for generic reasons rather than fertility. But it would still be nice to see the progression. :)

Hi there Mamas :wave: Sorry I have not been able to do personals lately... I feel like I have not been very supportive at all! I promise I will try harder. It is a bit difficult at the moment as we have distant family staying with us and they are always on the computer and do not know about bub yet! So I have grabbed it while they have gone for a walk around the block. I had my 10 wk scan today! And i thought my EDD was the 04 Aug but it turns out it is the 06! It was amazing to see the lil man (DH and I think it is a boy...we are not sure yet). His heart was flickering away! :cheerleader2: Everything is going well. Ob said he is measuring 9 and a half weeks but thats cause he is still tiny! We have the NT blood test in the next 2 weeks - do they just take blood test or scans as well? So today we got our first photo!!! Oh no they are back!!! That was quick!! Anyway hope you are all travelling along well! :hugs: Will try to get to personals soon! Also welcome to the newbies :smiliedance: Its nice to see more ppl on here

WannabeMum- I love hearing about everyones scans and all the little bubs in this thread are thriving!! Are you loving having family visit or is it eating you up that you cant tell anyone?? Hahaha.....

AFM: Since getting my BFP and had been getting annoying little cramps that came and went throughout the whole day (Never hurt, just more like annoying!) I had my scan last Thursday and everything was fine, :goodvibes:144bpm measuring 7.7mm which they said was excellent and my levels have been great. BUT, I have just realised that that annoying cramping feeling has now been gone for a couple days!! Call me silly but it kinda bothers me.....Do you know if this is normal? Did anyone else experience this? :confused: My DH reckons its better not feel cramps than to feel them and he reckons Im not bleeding or anything so not to stress! I have been doing acupuncture since doing IVF and have still be continuing until I am 12 weeks to help with morning sickness (which seems to have made it almost vanish minus a couple of nauseas feelings here and there) so dont know if maybe this has gotten rid of the cramping as well??

Have you all told friends and family yet the great news or are you waiting for the 12 week mark? I am heading to a wedding next week and freaking out about how I am going to cover up the fact im not drinking :eek:.....I AM KNOWN TO BE THE FIRST TO WHIP OUT THE SHOTS!! Any suggestions.....

Hilton I'm quite sure everything is fine. I had cramping that I don't remember having last pregnancy! It's more like a sorta sharp pain?? down the sides of the front?? and yea I agree with your DH it's probably nothing to be worried about but if you are worried, call your GP and see if you can get in? I'm sure they would be able to help!

I have had lots of bleeding since about week 5 and it's very scary (2 wonderful days with none this week). My OB says my pg is high risk on paper but looks great in scans. I know that this doesn't compare (and i haven't had NS yet) but I just wanted you to know that you're not alone in your fears. It sounds so trite but you just have to keep the faith - having supportive OBs is wonderful too.

GD, I'm sorry for your fears too. These NS are fraught. Good luck with your amnio but honestly, keep concentrating on the good numbers till then 99.3% looks wonderful :babydust1: Also, from having a wonderfully supportive OB myself (I've seen her 4 times already) I'm wondering if you could find someone else? Having someone you feel comfortable with is sooo important. You deserve better. Good luck.

T2SP, I so hear you! Everyone in my family ( and lots of friends except DP) work in the medical field and I'm under huge pressure to have the NS then amnio. My father even said that it's a shame that I can't keep the pg hidden until after the amnio in case I need to terminate!! (so sorry to use that word here :() And he's not the only one. It's really horrid and insensitive. My DP feels the same, that all testing is good testing but honestly, I feel like moving to a desert island until 20 weeks. I don't think people realise how much we have invested in these little bubs already - IVF and a whole ton of emotions. At least, at the end of the day, our significant others are there for us :)

Hello ladies i am so sorry if i have caused anyone to be concerned!!
I have been away for a few days and havent been online.

I had my OB appt on Wednesday and to be honest it was quite boring, nothing new really.
They seemed lovely there though and gave me a bumper bag with magazines and goodies which was nice.
But really they just talked about stuff that Hollywoof IVF had already covered.

I have my blood test and scan for 12wk NT scan in about 3 weeks.
(im almost 9 weeks)
Then another OB appointment then.

I wish I could have a scan every week so I could gain a bit of peace in my mind that my bub is OK.

I have waves of nausea, no vomitting and if I dont eat when I want to eat I feel horrible.
My nipples are tender every now and then and most mornings I had achy feelings in my abdomen.
I also have a tiny bump, I weigh 55kg but I think because Im so small the bump might be showing already?? Anyway I bought a belt to wear with jeans.
We also bought a second hand cot and change table and cleaned out all the bedrooms.
The cot and table have hardly been used and I got them For $180 - bargain.

Ive decided I want a Strider 4 Deluxe pram and capsule and now just trying to find the best price!

My scan went well today and showed bubba in the right place with a hb of 126bpm. :smiliedance:

I've just heard though that my FS wants another scan in 2 weeks (@9weeks) then the normal 12 weeks one. Why would that be? Everything was fine, he is determined to worry me silly :rolleyes:

Hilton - Yea, agreed with the other ladies. Nothing to worry about. Just your womb/uterus trying to expand :) I have them too. Mild ones like going to have AF... And oh, I spilled that I am pregnancy to a couple of girl friends. I didn't have a choice - I was in a social netball team and I kept giving excuses that I can't play. They brought the first few weeks but then kept asking if I am not away and at home, why don't I play since they are short of players. I have no choice but to say I am expecting :p They were nice to say oh, then you are out of the team for now. Maybe for you, during the wedding.. you can say you are on some antibiotics so cannot drink :)

AFM - expected to get an early night last night but had an Aunty come over for a visit with her family at 9 pm. I was so ****ty to say the least especially because today is DH's and I first day back at work. To top things off I woke up at 4:45am and couldn't get back to sleep so at 5:30 I jumped in the shower which took me a while just to stop shivering lol and then after that was brushing my teeth and decided to throw up in the bathroom sink..... Yuck! Not a happy camper today so thought I would come to maccas and have a decaf coffee and plain raisin toast to start the day...... Hopefully the rest of the day would be better

I have been away from BH for some time, but now am happily back and adding my name to the bottom of the list... got my BFP on Friday! I had an HCG of 11,812 which the nurse was really happy with for 4.4 weeks. I'm 5 weeks today. Feeling nauseous and extreme tiredness at various times throughout the day, but other than that I'm OK.

We also moved interstate last week, so it's been a very busy time! I have to find a new GP and an obstetrician also, and book in a 7 week scan.

Looking forward to getting to know you all, and I'm glad to see there are a few familiar faces amongst the group!

AFM - as of Thursday last week the nausea started. I am thankful that I have not come close to being sick but getting those waves of nausea. If I eat something it normally subsides but when I stop eating it comes back again...so I figure I just keep eating :yes:. I also feel light headed and dizzy :dizzy: at times and really tired. I was 8 weeks on Sunday so it feels rather late to be getting symptoms but I'm glad they are here and hope they continue as a good sign. I'm struggling concentrating at work...all I can think of is baby, baby, baby!:laughing:

Sorry I have been AWOL since before Xmas as internet access is useless at home!

Just back at work today so I don't have time to catch up and do personals but I promise to try and read back later.

An update on me, I had my 7wk scan a few weeks ago (am 9wks on Wednesday) and everything was fine, blob apparently had a good heart rate and the other empty sack was still there, no heartbeat sadly which I expected anyway. I ended up giving myself 3 injections of projesterone but the heavier bleeding only happened twice plus a bit of spotting. I have not had any spotting since NY day thankfully. My FS didn't know what was causing the bleeding unfortunately.

I was hoping to get an 8wk scan from my FS but he sent me on my merry way (not happy as I m/c last time at 8wks) - my normal FS is away and I am sure she would have given me a scan. This FS also didn't even tell me the heartrate or if blob was at the right dates :(

So I am seeing my GP tomorrow and have booked myself a 10wk scan for next week as I am totally paranoid about this pregnancy -it's a bit depressing really, I won't relax until the 12 weeks and for some reason I have this horrible feeling that something has happened and I have lost my bubba again (not helped that my nausea, heartburn all disappeared last week). I have been a bit down the last few days and I am just counting down til the scan next week - if everything is ok then, I think I will be more relaxed and actually add myself to the list and give myself a ticker!

Hi ladies, hope it's okay that I join your thread. Our little BuG is due September 5, if it is able to hold on in there. We had a scare yesterday and now I am in hospital awaiting more information and an official diagnosis. Doctors are thinking that either my ovaries are beginning to hyper stim (as they have done before) or one follicle kept growing, developed into a cyst and has now ruptured. Unfortunately, my IVF doctor is still on holidays and the clinic was still closed when our world started crashing yesterday, so there has been a lot of repeating stories. All scary and slowly breaking my heart. After four and a half years TTC, and three IVF cycles, we finally got a positive. 6 weeks today and on the emergency ultrasound they did last night, aging perfectly. We got to see little BuG's heart beating away, and of course have a happy snap to keep my mind focused.
I will give anything and everything in me for this to all settle down so I can enjoy the nausea, cravings, sore boobs, and constant peeing. Please keep your fingers crossed for us.
Hoping and praying for a September 5 delivery.

Oh, can anyone tell me, are you putting on weight? Or showing quite a lot? I'm naturally pretty small - usually 52kg (though put on 3 doing IVF) and I'm definitely pudging out at 10+ weeks. Also, I think I've put on more than the 1kg recommended for 1st trimester. Only time in my life that I couldn't really care less :hyper:

Once again, a long silence from me, sorry, I've been away from internet and phone for 10 days - quite relaxing! Good to read all your news now I'm back. So sorry to all of those who are having scares - DJJS, Mummyplease - it's really hard to cope with when we've had such a tough journey to get here already. Hoping all the very best for you all. And great to hear of all those bubs going strong! Possie, was thinking of you while I was away and so glad to hear your bub is hanging in there, hoping and praying all goes well.

AFM, just had my 12 week appointment with my lovely OB today - she did a quick scan and baby was leaping around, looking totally healthy. I'm so relieved and grateful to get to this point safely and finally feel I can relax a little - as well as let people know.

Scootslove, your post made me laugh - I've put on FIVE kg, am by far the heaviest I've ever been in my life! It's all the eating to ward off ms, I'm sure, rather than baby bump! I'm not usually very big, so it is really obvious that I suddenly have this belly! I am going back to work tomorrow and glad I'll be able to tell people cos otherwise I'd have to wear a sack to work:laughing:

Hi everyone, hope you are having a good day!

HM, so glad to hear you are OK after your scare. And everyone else having scares at the moment, my thoughts are with you! And to everyone who is back at work this week, how are you coping?! I've just moved interstate and don't have a job and I'm really happy about it - whenever I feel queasy or tired, I can just have a little nap! I did plan on doing some work this year, but I think I will just play it by ear now and see how I feel.

Since I read your posts about my HCG levels being rather high, I have been googling trying to find further info, and it does seem really high (11,819 or something like that it was at 4.4 weeks). I only had one embie put back. Now I am freaking out!!! I'm not having my scan until the 27th when I will be 7.5 weeks which seems a long time to wait to find out what's going on in there!! Did anyone else request further BTs after their positive, to check their levels are going up normally?

hey girls, just updating to say I think I must of had food poisoning as since that chuck I was fine! I think that it's from the milk I ate! I have been also told that lactose intolerance can occur during pregnancy, so for now a little too scared to have big amounts of anything! Just taking it easy!

Just a quick question, what was everyone's bub size around 11 weeks? (if you had a scan then)

I am a little concerned my bubs is small :S

How scary are the floods in QLD, I hope that if there are any QLD ladies in the thread that they are doing ok!

So finally the promised personals!

Scoots - Re weight in the first trimester, I am already about 5kg overweight (and I am at 74kg!) so I am trying really hard not to add too much to that just yet! Xmas was better for me this year as I had a bit of nausea but I still think I am about 1kg up! Hoping to not add to that til at least 12wks but my weight is a constant struggle for me!

Bella - your hcg's do seem really high, mine were 600 at 4 weeks (and I had 2 eggs fertilise). I was told anything over 100 is normal for that time, but I am sure the nurses would have said something if they thought it anything was wrong.

HM - glad that bubs is ok, enjoy your bed rest while you can!

GA - glad you are feeling better, food poisoning is never nice!

GD - great news about the CVS!

Melk - thanks, I am feeling much happier the last few days although still full of nerves about next wks 10 wk scan.

DJJS - welcome and I hope you are feeling better after your scare! It's such a lovely feeling to see the hb for the first time, such a relief!

Stayingcalm - glad that the 12wk scan went well!

AFM - had my first dr's apt last night (am seeing a GP who specialises in Obstetrics but delivers at a private hospital - much cheaper I hope for us!) and it was fine. He was really lovely as he remembered the dramas from last time after the m/c. He laughed when I said I had booked myself a scan next wk and was happy for me to do it if it helped reassure me. He thinks that if all is well next week, the rest of the pregnancy should progress well so :fingerscrossed: he is correct. I am still really nervous but trying not to stress myself out.

I have been so exhausted the last few days, it gets to about 6.30pm and I am struggling - it's somewhat reassuring so hopefully blob is nestling in nicely and growing well! My appetite has increased over the last few days too, I am constantly hungry which I remember from the last pregnancy, so I will have to watch what I eat or I will stack on the kgs. Have been craving salt the last few weeks (especially hot chips!) and have gone off chocolate which is unheard of for me :)

Anyway, hope everyone is doing well! Totally over the weather in Melbourne but can't really complain as the poor Queenslanders have it so bad, I feel for everyone having to flee their homes!

Hi everyone.

Welcome DJJS fingers crossed for you-sounds positive that u have seen bub and hb.

I'm in Brisbane and got sent home yesterday as the CBD was evacuated. Luckilly our house is in a safe area as us most of my friends and family. It's really scary and surreal to say the least. I want to volunteer to help but I'm paranoid to do anything strenuous. It's so sad to hear of lives and livelihoods lost by natural disaster.

It's awful to be selfish at this time however I am grateful for the forced R&R as I have had some bleeding the last two days.

It's old blood though and because of this thread and knowing what some of u have gone through, I am not too worried. So a big thankyou again for sharing and support.

I'm lying in bed on my phone so will write more personals later.

Possie I am in Brisbane too and it's surreal today to see the sun out but still be waiting for disaster to strike. Thankfully we too are in a high area and wish there was something we could do to help but probably best out of the way.

Possie - I just wanted to jump on quickly and say that if the spotting continues for a few more days, I would go and see your dr, just for piece of mind. Not to scare you (and I feel horrible mentioning it) but last pregnancy I had spotting (old blood) at 10wks for a week and my dr suggested a scan as he said that no bleeding is good in pregnancy. Unfortunately for me, the scan showed that bubs had passed away at 8 wks so for me, the spotting was possibly the start of the m/c.

This is not to say that it would be the same for you as lots of people have spotting and continue on to have a great pregnancy, but everyone told me not to worry as it was old blood so I was not to worried at the time. Having said that, I had red blood (lots of it) this time around at 6 wks and still had a good heartbeat at the scan.

I guess I am just saying to keep an eye on it and see your dr if it continues.

Glad to hear you are not too affected by the floods! Rest up!

Possie- Thats great to hear your home is in a safe place and you dont have to travel to work for awhile. It must be so scary over there at the moment. I agree with Mummyplease, maybe just go to the Dr's and confirm its nothing to be worried about, with any luck you might be able to get another scan to see that beautiful bub of yours!! I am dying to have another scan but wont be until feb 8 :( So far away!!

HaileesMummy- Hope you are watching some good DVD's and taking it easy on your bedrest!! Hopefully the rain over there will help ease the rain from QLD!!

AFM- Nothing new to report, just waiting for my OB and Scan in Feb (Its taking sooooooo long!!)...My nausea and annoying cramps are officially back haha....Have the wedding tomorrow which I am driving to so hopefully people will understand thats why I am not drinking. There are a few busy botty people I know going so DREADING having to put up with their 20 questions as to why I am "really not drinking".......bring on 12 weeks so I can just tell everyone already hahaha.....:p

I am STILL getting MS - I thought it was supposed to ease off!!! Yesterday if I didn't poo it out I vomited it all day and night!! Today I am having a lovely day - so you just can't pick which is going to be a good or crap day!!

AFM - have been getting very sharp pains in my lower abdomen and very bad lower back pain. I think i too am starting to show....although the top part of my stomach is where my food baby lies :laughing:
Started the Yoga on Monday which was nice and relaxing and had my personal training on wednesday and one tomorrow which i must admit was a little tiring (although i didnt do much) but my muscles have lost their strength, due to lack of exercise for 4 months. So im hoping with these exercises i should at least begin to feel a little energetic again.

I have been so nervous all week about my OB appointment and scan tomorrow. I just hope that bubs is doing ok and is developing as they should be. :fingerscrossed: it will all be ok.

Hi! Well we had another scan yesterday due to a threatened miscarriage. Worm is doing perfectly fine! Measuring 3 days over and heartbeat of 145bpm!! He/she was wiggling round everywhere and despite my pleas they wouldn't tell me if worm looked pink or blue but at this stage although would still love a blue one, I think we are very glad worm is fine and pink or blue we will be stoked!!! Have to go back to dr on Monday and he might send me for more testing. I've had bloods, urine and 2scans and waiting in last results this arvo! He still wants me to keep my feet up but seriously my house is looking like the rubbish dump!!! Lol. Dh has been awesome but a boy clean is NOTHING like a girl clean. I have been awake since 4am due to a little worm deciding to do gymnastics in my belly!!!! Yup I can feel my little worm moving and grooving!!!!! So happy!!!

Possie - I agree with T2SP, if the spotting/spotting is still going and is worrying you, get it checked out at your nearest hospital. Otherwise I would call your FS on Tuesday and they may be able to get you a scan that day. :fingerscrossed: it stops really soon, I know how stressful/worrying it can be.

HM - glad that scan went well, keep resting up, a boy clean is better than no clean at all ;)

T2SP - seriously, I am a zombie by about 8pm but by the time I make dinner, walk the dog etc the earliest I can get to bed is 9.30pm. Luckily it is so humid in Melbourne at the moment that I am asleep by the time my head hits the pillow. Goodluck with your scan today.

AFM - so so happy that it's the end of the week. I am just exhausted and the humidity in Melbourne (which is not normal & apparently over 90%!) is not helping. Looking fwd to a relaxing weekend although the house looks like a bomb hit it so it will need a good clean...agh!

Is anyone else taking progesterone pessaries? I have about another week of them and I am totally over them, they are horrible at the best of times but in this heat, they melt really fast and get very messy :( I think they are also causing lots of bloating, my poor belly looks about 4 mths pregnant in the afternoon, not good when I am only 9 wks!

Have a great weekend ladies, I am still counting down to my scan next week and trying to be positive (I even popped into Target yesterday and bought a few little baby things including the most adorable newborn socks which say I love Mum & I love Dad...couldn't resist!)

Its been week of the ACHE for me... headache,backache,hips also ache and the odd lovely zit on the face greets me each morning.. noice NOT :(
Humid Melbourne I agree MP has also not been fun...
Ive had trouble sleeping this past week as well after having great sleep early in the first trimester it seems now I ache too much and cant get comfortable.. god forbid when Im really pregnant !!!
Mummyplease Im on two Crinone a day.. its doing my head in too Im on them till week 13 next week but Im wondering is that the end of the week or the start of week I hate the stuff.
Also I end the estrogen patch next week and a steroid for NKC I start to reduce next week -which is the biggest monster of all my pregnancy drugs as side effects include a "moon face,dark circles and hollows under eyes,tummy pouch and weight gain" gggrrr

Had my scan on Wednesday - today I am 9w4d
Bub was fine, heartbeat of 171bpm in the scan you could even see the head and tiny legs etc...My nause seems to have died down the last couple of days, but earlier in the week I was feeling sick all day so on one hand Im relieved but on the other the nausea was reassuring LOL
Next OB appointment is 9th Feb, next scan is 28th Jan, blood test and urine test next week :)

Mummyplease - I am the pessaries still, next Monday I start to 'ween' off them thank god.

T2SP - good on you for starting your fitness routine. I too am not fit anymore and I was before the November IVF, havent exercised properly like you in ages so Im going to start the pregnancy water areobics and walking the dog everyday (my DH has been doing that) like I used to.

Anyone else finding it hard to finish their dinner, do you eat more during the day - also anyone finding it hard to eat red meat and have cravings for anything with milk in it??

I got a cot mattress yesterday, a new change table mattress, mattress protectors and a bassinett - cant wait to find out what we are having just so I can buy a couple of outfits for pink or blue LOL

Hi ladies,

I have been having shortness of breath. I am only six and a half weeks but I am having difficulty catching my breath. I can still do my everyday things. I have made an appointment to see the doctor and have done some reading. It is common for women to get shortness of breath in early pregnancy during high levels of progesterone and hormones.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

sofie - I agree about finding it hard to eat dinner, we are generally big eaters at night and although I am hungry at night, for the last few weeks I have been struggling to finish my dinner, especially anything with pasta in it! I read that you should eat 6 small meals instead of 3 larger ones but I struggle to do this (although I graze during the day!) I am much hungrier during the day at the moment too! I am just craving salt and have gone off milk and hot drinks especially.

Hi ladies,

Sorry for me post but just had a scary morning. Had my 12 week downs screen ultrasound (had scan at obs earlier in week & all was fine) and some worrying signs - NT measurement 'in higher range of normal' & a leak in the heart valve (don't know technical term). A risk rate of 1:38. I know some of you have been thru this already - just so hard to be dealing with that kind of information after all the dramas of the last three and a half years of TTC.
Anyway, they put me in and DH in a private room so we could have a cry & a talk about options & they could go check my blood results. The OB had warned me bloods might not be much help because they were taken just after I miscarried our other twin. We were really agonizing about what to do - we won't terminate but I do want to know what to expect. But CVS has slight miscarriage risk... Arghhh. After a long half hour the dr came back and said our blood results were great - risk reduced to 1: 538. SO relieved. She warned is that there are still clearly some problems - and she thought testing was a good idea - but could totally understand if we wanted to leave it after we've had such a tough ride so far. We both felt really ok about not getting tested - &will see what happens at 20 week scan.
Sorry for the long post - just home lying on the couch & feeling totally wiped out - would be SO grateful if things went smoothly from now on.

I know exactly what you are going through. Trust me, that drained feeling will leave you in the next couple of days. I have done a lot of reading since we received out 1:8 risk. It is great that your bloods have come back all clear. What was your NT measurement if I may ask?
After having gone through so much it is really hard to make the decision of whether to have further testing done or not. Like you we have decided just to wait for the big anatomical scan and see what that tells us. We wouldn't terminate either, that is one thing we have learned by going through this process, but as you say, it'd be good to know beforehand. We went to a genetic councillor and one of the questions I asked was up to when you can do an amnio and she said pretty much right up to birth. So one option would be to wait until week 32-36 to give you time to adjust if necessary. Like this the little worm still has a chance in intensive care, should the amnio lead to premature birth.

Just a thought and something we are considering, depending on the outcome of the scan.

I'm expecting a call from my obs this afternoon, she said she would ring if there were any issues with the results, so I can ask her about genetic counselling.

AFM - I have been exhausted this week after the emotional ride last week. My DH is more tired as he had to look after me and deal with the news! Thank goodness it was all good! I have started yoga and pilates. My MS is almost gone although if I let myself get too hungry it shows up. The worst thing is my sense of smell - it's a killer. I gag at anything smelly!

I have been having shortness of breath. It is common for women to get shortness of breath in early pregnancy during high levels of progesterone and hormones.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hi im now in my second trimester. And from early on I had symptoms of being breathless. Especially walking up a hill. Baby is demanding extra of you and this is causing you to get breathless or work double time to keep up to its demands.

I previously powered up hills, stairs and escalators I hated standing still on those things. Now I look like a fat person who is severely out of shape. lol. My bump so far makes me look fat not pregnant.

Well ladies, I'm wishing you all the very best for the coming months and well and truly beyond. You are very blessed to be carrying your angel bubs and just as blessed to have found this forum!

Our scan this morning showed that our little angel bub stopped growing :crying:and I am booked in for a D&C next Thursday.

If there is one piece of passing advice I can give you its please listen to your heart and your instincts. I knew something wasn’t right from the beginning and although I would change nothing that I have/haven't done I have learnt to go with what you are feeling .

Mummyplease, thank you so much for your advice. If I had of kept waiting I would have been really angry with myself so thanks for the push.

Melk, thank you so much also for the referral to the Mater - they were great and I will be going back to them for the D&C.

And a big thank you to all of you on this thread. Keep doing what you are doing ladies, talk lots, ask questions even if you think they are stupid...because the best advice you can get is from someone going through a similar journey.

Just a quick note to say I had a really helpful chat with my s-i-l who is a dr - she said not to worry - the NT test is v unreliable by itself and there are so many false positives with the 12 week test anyway. She said the 20 week test is generally really clear anyway. So feeling much better and comfortable with my decision. Thanks again for your support lovelies - GA, really glad your results ended up fine & Natalsche, will be thinking of you lots.

BabyJunkie you're a junkie like me !! i too am on steroids for NKcells and 2x crinone also clexane injections and 2/wk hcg injections, had hoped today would see some of it start to disappear but not to be they are keeping me on it all for another few weeks.

Well had 14 weeks ( 2 days early) obs appoint today and all well
No scan so didnt get watch to beaniee squirm which was a bummer but did get hear his heart beat which was lovely & strong.
dr happy with all our test results and scan results from last week.
So now we just hang out till 21st Feb for morph scan and 23rd feb for Obs appoint. :hyper:

Mummyplease, thank you for your post the other day, I wouldn't have gotten checked out if you hadn't. For others, please don't ignore spotting as I was (was beginning to think it was normal)...sometimes you can catch a problem early enough.

I've had pretty heavy spotting for the past 9 days and yesterday mp's post prompted me to ring the OB (I feel like because of the OHSS I've bothered them enough, you know?). At first the midwife said not to worry and come in for a doppler but when the OB heard I've also had some other symptoms - lack of ms for 48 hours, period type pains if I jump around walk to much, I was told to come in and see the on call. I was sooo stressed by this point and my bp was 140/65. Finally i got to see him and bug is looking great!!! Measuring great and waving at me :D The not so good news is that the placenta is over my cervix (happens to 5%) and bubs is bouncing on top. The period pains I've been getting actually are threatened miscarriage pains because of the weight on my cervix - I nearly had a heart attack that I'd left it so long and could have caused a mc myself! There's some bleeding from the placenta but otherwise ok. until it moves in a couple of weeks I'm on mostly bedrest until bleeding stops then taking it very very easily. I've also been put on some muscle relaxants at night to stop any contractions. Bug is 11 weeks. I didn't really want to post because I don't want to make anyone else paranoid. I do have probs with the lining of my uterus so that makes the risks greater. The thing that I do want to say is always get checked if in doubt, sometimes there are things you can do and the OBs can do to stop mc and I didn't know that before. DP and I feel very very lucky.

Scoot, I panicked when I started reading your post, how terrifying! Stay put in that bed and don't move, and if you need anything, please do not hesitate. I will message you my number. I know you have lots of people around you, but you never know when you just can't grab someone when you need them.
Your support and messages have been so comforting to me, I wish I could say or do something to help you in the same way.
BuG and I continue to plod along. Every morning I wake up and have a moment of dread, will today be the day my world crashes down??? Shauna has been great and the girls at TasIVF have been checking on me everyday. Spotting has stopped (for the time being) and I realized it coincided with when I would next have ovulated, so perhaps the doctors at the hospital were right, it was my ovaries bleeding. Lovely. Sorry. TMI.
Anyway, we are counting down til Monday when we will have the next scan to check on everything. OHSS pain continues and is very specific so I am praying I am not in a similar circumstance to you (even though we have SO much in common!). Hopefully they will pick that up (if it's a problem) at the scan.
Anyway, that turned into a me post, sorry. Thinking of you and if you need anything, please do not hesitate. Even if it is just delicious vanilla ice-cream on top of Samboy BBQ chips (so yum! You have to try it!).

Thanks everyone foe their kind words. :) Hopefully the doctor can guide me in the right direction! I am going for my HB scan on Monday. I can't help but get a little excited but nervous at the same time. Such mix of emotions!! Who knows what I will be like on the day..... If the scan comes back with good results I will start to get more excited.

Scootslove - I am sorry that there are some complications. It is good to read that bug is doing well. You need to have a bell to ring when you are in bed so you get star treatment!! :D

AFM - had my OB appt. Today. Bubs is doing fantastic measuring at exactly 14 weeks (8 cm) with a heartbeat of 130 bpm. OB measured the fluid behind the head and said our risk of downs is low I.e 1:1500 due to fluid not being thick. Anyways bubs was so active kicking everywhere.....so cute DH and I had tears in our eyes.

Hope everyone is doing ok. Will do personals tomorrow.

First I just want to say my thoughts are with you Possie :hugs:.

I have been MIA as I escaped the world of technology on Boxing Day. It has taken me more than 5 hours over 2 nights (with interruptions) to read where everyone is up to and the highs and lows of the last couple of weeks.

Being away from all of you all has made me realise what reassurance i get from everyone and I hope I can provide it in return. Things have happened (pain, etc) that other friends have said I don't remember that, doesn't sound normal, etc and then while catching up on everything I have thought, wow, yes others have had that too.

And then on the other hand the three weeks have gone pretty quickly and that is what I needed. As I mentioned before i left my risk ratio at my 12 week scan was pretty bad (GD, Natalsche and Staying Calm - I hope I haven't forgotten anyone) and I had to wait 3 weeks for an amnio as I couldn't have CVS. Had it today so I am now resting while I wait the agonising 3 days for results.

Now that I have caught up on reading I will catch up on personals over the next few days - bed now.

I wen tot the doctors this morning and he wad hopeless!! He said that it is because of my hormones and that I need to go back to my specialist! Waste of time.....

I had some discharge this morning and there was a tiny dark patch of blood. I am hoping that my body is cleaning itself out and not a sign of m/c. I have been to the toilet e and nothing! AFM - Still throwing up! I thought I had food poisoning as I had eaten pizza that was over a day old (1 1/2 days) but it was not the pizza. I was again sick this morning and I figured the culprit is MILK! Yes, strange I know, but about 2 hours after cereal (which I have not that often) I was head in the bowl again throwing up the contents :( I was also stuck on the toilet on the other end about 10 minutes later. I think it's something to do with milk. It is fresh milk, tastes fine, still well in date so I am thinking I have a lactose or milk intolerance due to pregnancy (I google'd and apparently it's rather common to have something you just can't eat or it will make you sick during pregnancy) Slowly figuring out what makes me feel bad, and so far; Milk is the only thing that is the common occurrance all the times I am getting sick (since 10 1/2 weeks I have been OK unless I drink ... milk) So now I am going to take that away for a week, see if I get sick again, if yes, then I am wrong, if no, then there might be method in my madness and I hopefully wont get sick again! YICK!

GA not good on the milk vs throw up factor- i drink rice rice and so far all has been ok- havent tried full milk yet might stay away i thnk.

AFM had to go and buy new bras today as the old ones just weren't cutting it- and wow how much better do i feel now - happy (.)(.):laughing:

I managed to get hold of the FN and he didn't seem too concerned. I have had more CM discharge since with no trace of bleeding. So it could be a one off thing!! :fingerscrossed: I told him the size was half of a five cent piece. It was really tiny but very dark. I don't have any pain!! Which I think is a relief. My DH thinks everything is fine as I am still really tired and my boobs are huge. I have gone from a B cup to C cup already!! I felt really good yesterday and today I am exhausted. I had an afternoon nap on the couch. :sleeping: Then the phone rang and woke me up! Grrr..... I bought new bras today too! One of them was really tight! I got one with no wire for pilates, yoga etc... And a lace one for everyday.


Greenapple - I do feel for you. Vomiting is one of the worse things a person can have. I do hope it eases up for you soon!! :hugs:

I'm off to tassie for a holiday on Monday - cannot wait - but also starting to feel anxious as we'll be quite remote from amy hospital. I wasn't worried before yesterday but after the dramas (and the dr reminding me I had a higher than usual likelihood of miscarriage because of losing a twin) I am feeling generally jittery. Time to live up to my BH name & stay calm, I think!

The bras do make such a difference- I had already gone from my 10B bras back to some old 12C one and yesterday Had to Go for the good old D CUP !! DH thinks its fantatstic- I got a great sports bra for Pilates too and just went for some basic Loveable non underwire bras for everyday i figured that they are still growing so will get some pretty ones next time - the choice wasn't great though which was i wasn't happy about- but the comfort factor is great !!

Stayingcalm - sounds like great self advice lovely stay calm amd go easy and gets lots of rest and you should be fine just dont go over doing it and should have a trouble free holiday. Enjoy

Melk - I went and had a bra fitting at the well established Myer bra section as I was spilling out. What an experience! I felt like I was back in school except the focus was on my breasts. She barked instructions, "Pull it up, grab hold from undreneath and push..." Very Funny. She was hilarious but competent and knowledgeable. I walked away with a very comfortable bra (2 cup sizes bigger). I tried it out for a couple of days and then wnet back for more.

Stayingcalm - thank you. Getting away will be great. Enjoy. I recommend Berlei maternity bra - oh so comfortable and it doesn't look too bad!

Ladies, target have a maternity crop top right up to a 20dd but the sizing is huge I'm at the moment a 18f but got the 18dd and it's perfect!!! Super super comfy and only $16!!!!! Certainly not good for running in but for days around the house or for bed later on when trust me u will have to sleep with some support they perfect!!!!!! X

Hi Ladies

I have been quiet because I have felt awful so I didn't want to spread my MS to anyone else.

But I have had a few MS free days and took my bestie shopping :):) I have got most of the furniture I need from IKEA and some cute little odds n ends but a word of warning when you go - 1 trolley is not near enough :eek: that's why you need a big car and a friend with you. And today went by Target and found carseats on special with $100 off Safe n Sound ones so I had to get them too then they had this twin pack of a bouncer and playmat for $50 so that was a saving of $85 so got 2 of them as well. The nursery is just about done but our lounge room looks like a storeroom of IKEA and Target - We have to move that crap out of the nursery now!!!

It was fun but I started talking to these new mums about having twins and I burst into tears - a bit overwhelming with the impending arrival of these little precious people coming into our lives - it made it real to have the carseats for some reason!!!

Hi ladies, so sorry for the me post, but I am lost and shattered. Don't know what I have done wrong. After a pretty typical day of nausea, exhaustion and OHSS pain, I have now had a bright red bleed. I don't know what to do. I don't have a doctor to contact, and can only turn up at the emergency room. Scan due tomorrow...any ideas?

Thanks Melk, DH has just made the decision, any more bleeding or pain over next hour and we will go back. I think part of me is just scared of what we might find out. This is the furtherest we've ever made it after TTC for 4.5 years. Just broken. Thank you, we will go if it continues.

DJJS- Hi Huni sorry to butt in but i just read your post and its so sad i'm 20 weeks pregnat with twins and i wanted to tell you my story of bleeding so here goes and i hope it helps ease ur mind babe, well at 9 and half weeks pregnat i started to bleed red with big clots size of golf balls i thought it was all over for us went scan the next day to find both bub's are healthy and growing i had the pains crapms worse then af pains and the bleeding went on for few days i then found out i had what they call a hemotomea which is nothing to worry about much just had to take it easy and they had to keep an eye on oit till i was 12 weeks so i wish you the best babe good luck huni xxxx

A hematoma is a blood clot between the pregnancy membrane and the uterus. Many ppl go on having full term pregnancies. This is what I have read. :)

I just read back a few pages from over the weekend and I don't have time at the moment for too many personals but I just wanted to to jump on for a quick post.

Possie - I am so so sorry for your loss. I went through this in October with my first pregnancy and I was devastated. All I can say is that I found it really helped to just talk to people about it, not to bottle it up. Everyone deals with their grief differently and I certainly did a lot of crying but I also chatted to friends about how I was feeling and preparing myself for my next cycle and getting pregnant again...it really helped me to stay focussed on being a mum which is the end goal. I got pregnant again 6 wks later so I have no doubt that you will get pregnant again after your wedding! I also had a d&c for my m/c, please feel free to pm me if you need to chat about that or anything else.

Scootslove - I am so glad my post helped you decide to go and see a dr, I hate dr's but with any pregnancy, peace of mind is so important. I hope that everything gets calms down with your pregnancy and make sure you stick to the bed rest.

DJJS - I hope the bleeding stopped and that everything is ok, I can totally understand how scary any sort of bleeding is.

AFM - 3 days til my scan! Part of me now thinks (hopes!) that things might be ok, little symptoms (like getting up 4 times one night to pee!), really sore boobs (oh and I am a size E/F already so know knows what size I will eventually be!) and a few food aversions are helping me feel a bit more positive. But until the scan I will still be really worried, it's in my nature.

Thank you everyone for your kindness and support. My what a roller coaster we have been on. At the hospital last night until midnight, no answers except HCG looked good. Back there this morning at the early preg assess clinic, and waiting and waiting. Doctor couldn't find a heartbeat and told us to prepare for bad outcome, then he thought he found a heartbeat, and then he wasn't sure. Referred to ultrasound, but they couldn't see us until 3pm, but we still had our original scan appointment for 1030 so we went to that instead.
We have seen our beautiful BuG's heartbeat at 142 bpm. BuG is perfectly placed and aging only 1 day behind but no one is worried about that.
Thank you again so very much, now we are off to sleep!

AFM- Hit 9 weeks yesterday!! :smiliedance: Still 3 more weeks for my OB appointment and scan but have a GP appointment tomorrow to make sure things are all good. I attended the wedding on Thursday which was beautiful but had a couple of ANNOYING people pestering me as to why I wasnt drinking!! Got that fed up DH and I left at 9pm.....Wish people would just butt out sometimes!! But its all good....just gotta keep the secret for another 3 weeks and hopefully the next 3 weeks all go good!!

SO glad for you dj - wonderful news, after what must have been such a stressful 24 hours.
Sadly I am not in Tassie as planned - started getting cramps last night & they woke me up throughout the night. OB saw me first thing - Bub looks fine but she said it might be wisest not to go away at this stage. We will have another scan weds and if everything has settled, hope to go away that night.

AFM I am expecting a miscarriage any day now. No heart beat detected and after more scans the sac stopped growing at four weeks when I should be seven weeks. Very emotional today. I had a bad feeling this morning too. So the very light spotting on Sat was a sign. :( I am
starting to get period like pains. I am

hey darling. Yea it's completely normal. I didnt' get it last pregnancy quite so early but have had it a little this time round!!! it's eased off a little now tho! Clear Sticky WIERD!!!!! YUP!!! Rest assured it's normal, probably wouldn't have that much I wouldn't think that a breast pad would be required, maybe just fold a tissue over and pop over your nipple inside your bra. If you are worried about it then call your GP but unless it's gushing out I really wouldn't be concerned, it's all normal and a fun part of being preggers! Enjoy!!! ;-):hugs:

Pippi - I just read your post and wanted to send you lots of :hugs: after your loss. As I said in an earlier post, make sure you don't keep things to yourself, it really can help to talk to others about how you are feeling. Not sure this will help you right now (it didn't help me straight away) but people kept telling me 'at least you can get pregnant' - it annoyed the hell out of me in the beginning but thinking about it later on, it actually gave me hope that I would get pregnant again.

Not much to report, barely slept last night as I have started to get really nervous/worried about the scan tomorrow, silly I know, but it brings back bad memories of my m/c in October and the scan is at the same place & probably with the same person. Luckily DH will be with me this time to hold my hand as he wasn't able to be there last time. I'm trying to be positive but it's not always easy!

DJJS, wow, getting your msg yesterday had me so excited! We were so worried when you found out you probably wouldn't have the scan until the morning - it even made DP shudder to think of waiting all through the night. Hopefully all these complication signal perfectly clear sailing from her on in. Only 4 more weeks until that magic 12 weeks. Let me know if you need anything at all - even if it's ice cream & bbq chips ;) which I haven't had the guts to try yet lol

GA, don't be embarrassed, we're here for to help and learn - I honestly thought this would be the sort of thing that would happen a few days before birth but it appears not, I'm glad to know what to look out for. Apparently our breasts will have done almost all of their growing by 16 weeks (who would have thought?) So apparently maternity bras fitted then should see you through - they're designed to stretch as your milk comes in. Has everyone swapped to non-underwire yet? I was going to stay in underwire (cos I love them) until just before the birth but I hadn't realised how early the milk ducts grow.

On phone so can't do proper personals but hope everyone is going well :)

GA, I just did a bit of reading (which could be all wrong) but apparently the colustrum starts being produced at about 16 weeks too - leakage beforehand can be a sign to check your progesterone as this is the main hormone that controls when your milk comes in. Maybe ask your OB to be double sure, I'm a bit of a worrier though so I don't want to stress you. Our bodies do change so quickly,I woke up this morning with a little tummy poking out - feels so strange.

Howdy everyone
I finally had my 12 week scan and we(DH & I) are super happy all is well and it appears bub is a real mover and shaker as well doing flips and somersaults it was very cute:cheerleader1:
I have results from my combined screening too and they are good it seems a low risk so not bad for an old IVF mumma !
Its still VERY surreal but I feel more relaxed knowing I got past this point this time round unlike in the past-huge sigh of relief.
Funny thing is my DH has worked in a well known Baby Store in Melbourne now for a while as a Storeroom Manager (this was ironic we were doing all the IVF cycles..:rolleyes:) & kind of sad but we hoped one day we may be able to take advantage of his staff discount and buy our bubba stuff from his store.
Now maybe we finally can !!!!
Anyway he is educating me on what is what as I have no idea about what we may need.. but I cant bring myself to go shopping just yet for baby stuff the only necessary shopping item of need at the moment is giant E CUP Bra's mmm TMI :laughing: might be F CUP now "god help me" !!!

AFM - A little sore today, and slept TERRIBLE... Had a headache from the night before last took 6 panadol throughout the course of the day (checked with Dr) and it still didn't go away! All is ok tho and goin well,can't wait to see bubba again. xxx

AFM - have been MIA a little. Just seem to be so tired with work and all. Have been getting sharp pains still in lower abdomen ( but it's on and off) so I'm going with the fact that it's either the endo or stomach stretching. I'm also getting back pain but I must admit the exercise is starting to help a little. Really enjoying the pregnancy yoga....it actually helps me to relax and after it I'm having a good nights sleep which is awesome as I've been having interrupted sleep lately.

Hi to everyone else and thanks for everyones good wishes for my 10wk scan.

I had the scan first thing this morning and I can't tell you how sick with worry I was going into it! But there was my little blob (think I might have to rename it now!) with a very strong hb of 173 and measuring spot on 9wks6days. The relief was amazing and poor DH's hand got squeezed quite hard in the first minute until he let me listen to the hb! We even got a wave from the little one which was very cute.

So I am hoping that it is all smooth sailing for the next few wks til the 12wk scan and think I will relax a lot more! We even got a dvd to look at so I will be trying to take a sneaky look at that today at work!

Summa - I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. Take care of yourself as you grieve & all the very best for the future.

MP - wonderful news, I'm sure we all know that feeling of waiting to see the hb - how long does it feel??? Hope you can relax & enjoy for a bit now.

Afm, cramps continue but have just got back from OB & scan showed Bub looking totally fine. So the cramps appear to be normal. OB thinks it might be because of the scarring within the uterus from endo & surgery - so everything is stuck together - & as the baby grows, it pushes everything apart. So I may have to get used to some ongoing pain. Anyway, we are feeling reassured & off to tas tonight - this is our only proper holiday in a year so I was gutted about not going!
Also - not sure I said a big WOO-HOO to ivy - great news about your amnio results, what a relief!

Hi Ladies, :wave:Sorry I have not been on here much but i have been dropping in read how everyone is travelling. Tomorrow I will be officially 12wks!! I cannot believe it! How fast does time fly! I went on Tuesday to get the blood test done of the 12 wk check up. I have the scan part on Friday. Cant wait to see the lil one again! Still not many symptoms... I have an annoying twitch in my left eye (apparently its normal. I only use to get it when I was tired..which is the case I guess), tired easy during the day, hard to get comfy at night but other than that all good. DH and I bought our first bubby things on the weekend. We went into Target to have a look at the portacot on special but it wasnt nice material and hard to work. But we walked out with a baby bag, play mat, three jump suits and a rubber ducky :yes: I cant stop looking at it! I have really missed you all! Sorry for being MIA just so much going on! :hugs:

Stayingcalm - Great to hear bubs is doing good! I hear you about the cramps/pains....im experiencing very similar and they have been intermittent since my transfer. My OB said the same thing to me about the fact that it could be from the endo and surgeries as well as stomach stretching etc. I hope you feel better soon

WannabMum29 - an early congrats for reaching the 12 week mark. Goodluck with your scan on Friday. Cool about starting to buy some baby things! I'm still refusing to get anything at least until the baby's room is cleaned out :laughing:

AFM - Not much to report, still travelling the same. Just a question, is anyone starting to show now? lol i look like im about 5 months preggers :laughing:
