Ok, Connor is almost 2 1/2. I am over nappies!! He normally says no to sitting on the toilet. So I dug out the potty ("little toilet") today & he was happy to sit on it he even started pushing like he was doing a poo, though nothing came out!

Any way I thought maybe I'll put some undies on him & see how he goes & see if he'll do anything on the potty :fingerscrossed:

Shortly after he did a wee & totally freaked out & wouldn't let me put him on the potty again. :(

I have no idea how this toilet training thing works. Will he wear nappiers forever? :o

Yeah - probably just keep him in nappies until he gets a wifey.....then she can take over!!!

Hi Becks

I am in exactly the same position, we have a week or a few days of absolute brilliant toilet training and then all of a sudden DD gets completely scared, freaks out, she hasn't poohed for two days now (tomorrow the prunes come out!)

I found a book at a bookstore called "The complete idiots guide to potty training" I am half way through and :fingerscrossed: I finish the rest tonight if I don't fall asleep as I really would rather be reading other things than about potty training. Anyway can let you know how it goes with the rest of the books if you like but so far it has have heaps of tips in it.

But really just wanted to give you :hugs: as I know and feel exactly what you are feeling with it. UGHH, hope it works out soon for you.

No advice from me either I'm afraid (and in any case you wouldn't WANT advice from me ... prob'ly prefer someone who's actually competent at this TT business...) but you're certainly not alone. We're currently doing Attempt #3 with DD ... who's going to be three on Saturday.

DD actually had a nightmare about it last week - she woke up at 5am crying "Don't take my nappy away!" So it's clearly stressful and hard work. But everyone tells me "it will happen sooner or later" and we just have to believe them!
