Hi
I'm looking into doing Medical Transcription from home. At the moment I type ~83 wpm and I am going to do the TAFE medical terminology subject shortly.
Can someone that does/has done this kind of work tell me how much you earn, say, per hour of typing.. and if you type at a similar speed to me?
I've seen "11c per line" as a guide for qualified typists through Ozescribe, but I have no idea how many lines are typical of "per page" in a medical document, or how much that equates to "per hour" usually.
Also, do you find that it is quite basic typing/data entry, or do you have to be REALLY good at formatting in MS Word? I used to be a MS Word master (going back to around '99-2000!) but I will have to re-learn the newer versions if you need to be really great at formatting (mail merges, setting tabs and indents, etc).
Cheers
