Sorry if this is a bit if a silly post...
Ever since my DD was 2 days old we have used nipple shields. So this meant feeding time always involved the whole 'hold on gotta grab a shield, wait is it sterilized, hold on while I put it on, ok feed!'
but now DD has decided she doesn't want the shields anymore! And for the first time I have been able to place her on my chest and watch her find the boob herself...and it just makes me melt! The little face she pulls as she bobs around toward it and then finds it...sooo precious! I know most of you would have seen that a zillion times and that it is purely instinct but doesn't it make you realist how amazingly smart they are? Or am I just in a gooey mood? I love it :)

Once I got past the freakishly painful stage, I loved it too :goodvibes: DS weaned at age 2.5 years and two years later I still have vivid memories of the feeling and how amazing those moments were.

Enjoy it, sounds relieving to no longer need the shields :D
