Would you trust a second hand one? or would you definitley buy a brand new one?

I would buy a second hand one. If it was a microwave one then no probs, but if it was electric I would want to make sure it was in working order first.

im not sure if im going to(be able to or want to) b/feed this new baby so YES i did get a microwave one second hand.

i always used milton for the others but 2 were breastfed so it was only a dummy or two going in. the other was b/fed for only 6 months and milton is just a pain in the butt for bottles but i knew no dif back then- now i do so im going to do it the easy and quick way.

I had an Avent Steriliser but we didnt use it. The CHN said that there is no need to sterilise bottles anymore. They reccomend washing is hot soapy water then rinsing in cold water and air drying.

We have done this since birth with DS and have never had any problems. My advice is save the money and dont worry about buying one.

I just sold mine on ebay as I dont intend on using one for baby number 2.

I brought a second hand microwave one for Matthew. Wouldn't buy a second hand electric one though.

Microwave, yes! I got an Advent one of eBay, for half the price new with some bottles too.
Electric, no way!
