Hi :-) Are there any 1st time Mums to be living in Brisbane? Would love to hear from you and share experiences! I'm 25, a nurse and have very little idea of what I've let myself in for :o

Hi there  I'm a first time Brisbane mum - 29 year old teacher - but due in November. Like you I'm not sure what to expect but as each day goes by I get more and more excited about meeting my little one in a few months. Hope you have been feeling okay and not getting morning sickness - I was incredibly lucky and didn't get any.

Hi Caroline,
I'm so glad that you mentioned you had no sickness, because I didn't either, and I started to worry! My mum told me that she never had a day of sickness in all her pregnancies, but I was sure she was only saying that to make me feel better. I'm not due till March, but we're very excited also. Did you find out the sex at all?

My mum also had very little morning sickness - wonder if it is a genetic thing? We haven't found out the sex of the baby as we are currently living in China where it is illegal to find out the sex - even for foreigners. We were already 50/50 about finding out and decided we weren't meant to know. At least we only have 13 more weeks to wait.
The great news is that we are moving back to Brisbane permanently in 4 weeks time. :yelclap: Can't tell you how excited we are - to be able to speak in English to doctors who understand and can answer all of our questions! I'll also feel a lot safer being back there as I definitely want to have the baby in Australia and don't fancy being in China if the baby decides to come several weeks early.
How far along are you? I'm guessing around the two month mark? Glad to hear that you have been feeling great. I've heard rumours that if you have an easy pregnancy you have a hard labour - I am really hoping that it is just a rumour!

We've just passed the first trimester, so that's pretty exciting in itself. Wow! Living in China must be challenging, especially first time round! Are you there on work? I hadn't heard that rumour about a hard labour after an easy pregnany...hope it's just another old wives' tale! I'm just in that in between phase with my clothes right now. It's so frustrating! I don't really have an official 'bump' but my wardrobe is starting to get really uncomfortable. Feel a bit stupid shopping for maternity clothes at this stage.

Hi guys, haven't written in awhile, work has been crazy. Just sold our house on the weekend and moving to Wooloongabba. Seekrit, I always said I still wanted to get out and about after I had bub, but wondered if it was really possible. Or would I be tied down to the house by March next year?!?! Any tips  on making it easier are always welcome!

for the first couple of weeks I didn't want to go anywhere, but after that you couldn't keep me away :p
Although I try not to arrange a full week, because it does rattle poor bubs around. Y'day we went to a bbq, then today to a body shop party and he's been a bit overtired and out of sorts. Tomorrow we're going out quickly in the morning but spending the rest of the day at home otherwise I'd be dealing with an over-tired and over-hungry bub. :p
But I loooooooove to get down to the shops, lately it's just too much hassle (and not enough cash) but I get down when I can
