I have a growing list of things I am soooo wanting to buy for the Potential Baby, but can't, yet. Not until I am actually pregnant.

1] Itiit bitti tuttos. Actual Toddler is about to toilet train, so I can't justify buying new nappies for her. But oh how I want to try them.

2] A BabyHawk meitai. Sure, I have a hotsling and a scootababy, but babyhawks are just so pretty. I miss having a baby on my hip.

3] New Hotmilk maternity bras. I am still breastfeeding Actual Toddler, but don't really need to spend $60 on a new bra.

4] An independent midwife to take to hospital with me. Next best thing to a guard dog for my uterus. I'm saying no to obstetric ram raids.

I have one of those lists too. And a list of things I want to make.

SIL said to me the other day that she had boxes full of baby stuff that she ended up having to sell/give away because it never happened. I just couldn't buy something before I'm pregnant for fear of the same thing happening.

Yeah, I didn't buy much til I was about 34 weeks pregnant and not the cot or pram until after she was born. I'm very proud of myself for not going to the baby expo this year. TTC is a new experience for me as Esme was spontaneously created and it's so frustrating for a born planner like me. Somebody give me a crystal ball!

:D :hugs: I have a list somewhere on this charming computer in a folder called "baby", that is full of stuff I want to do next time. Next time is looking like being in a good few years time though :o
HWB with birth photographer, maternity shoot (I was offered one last time and was so miserable being pregnant, I STUPIDLY passed it up!), pregnancy massage once a month at least... sigh.
Most of your stuff is loosely justifiable IMO ;)

Can I ask you about the scootababy? I've been looking at these as my best friend in on a waitlist to adopt a baby from Ethiopia... Are they really comfortable and easy to use?

Bub will probably be around a year old when she adopts, and she is a "hip carrier" who has back and neck problems. Would this be a good carrier for her? I love my ergo, but think she'd find it uncomfortable.

I love the scootababy, I used it last week and Esme is 2 and 12kg. I have had no problems with it and find it very comfortable. I had an ergo and sold it cos I found it annoying having her either in front in the way or round the back and pulling my hair!

Thanks for that! Your rap gives me the confidence to get one for her- might order one from the US since the Aussie dollar is so good at the moment.
I keep my hair plaited when I'm carrying either of my girls in the ergo- my 10 month old is a pincher, scratcher, hair puller, and my 2.5 yr old just likes to play with my hair.
Love your list BTW!

Do the hot milk bras come in bigger sizes? I know it's one thing I'm going to struggle with when I finally get to that stage. it's hard enough find normal bras let alone maternity bras!
