I've just started making cloth nappies (only 2 so far and I haven't tried them yet). Is my PUL going to leak through the holes where I put the pins/stitching? If so, how do I stop this?? What do people that make nappies to sell do?? Help!! :)

I used to pin on the outside of the seamline that was going to be trimmed off anyway. Or alot of people use pegs instead of pins.

Yep, what Rarygirl said.

As for the stitching, use polyester thread and the moisture can't wick onto it.

Hmm, pegs is a good idea. I usually sew over my pins though, it's so fiddly having to remove them as you go, lol! Might have to be a bit more careful and pin in the seam allowance. Thanks :)

I use hair clips also known as quilt clips.

The flat metal snappy kind. They hold all the layers togther securely while you sew yet they are easy to remove as you go.

You can buy packs of 12 plain ones in the supermarkets quite easily!
