Hi

I want my daughter to start eating more fibre and I've been told spinach, cauliflower and brocolli is the way to go because this will make her poo soft (shes a bit constipated).

Does anyone have any great recipes to try? She is 2 1/2 years old so they can be recipes for the whole family to enjoy.

Hi there

Cauliflower cheese is a winner with the littlies i know - you can also add broccoli to it. There are sauce mixes at the shops where all you have to do is mix the pkt, vegies and some milk and zap in the microwave.

Hub won't eat cheese sauce so I never bothered to learn how to make one. I put a bit of lemon juice on steamed broccoli instead and DD loves it. She also likes broccolini, but it's a bit pricier. Be cautious with the packet sauces, some are very high in salt so check the label.

I also chop broccoli very small and put it on pizza when we make at home. Pita shells make a quick thin crust base.

The only spinach we eat is in lasagne or spinach/feta pie. I have a recipe if you want, or just add it as part of a layer in any lasagne recipe you like.
