Poss kidney infect while preg

Hay guys a lil back ground first, I'm 6 weeks pregnant:-). I've had an abscess and now think I may have a kidney infection:-(, my waist but around my back is hurting and I'm useing the toilet more than I should. Dose any one have any advice or have been thru this ?

if you are concerned go and get tested for a kidney infection or uti.
peeing is part of pregnancy and so is stomach and back pain so you may not have an infection but pregnancy symptoms.

Ring your midwife first thing this morning!!!

I had PYELONEPHRITIS (a severe kidney infection) when pregnant with #2. I thought it was just a sore back. It very quickly turned into the most painful experience of my life. I pretty much couldn't move without pain, temp in the 40's, blinding headache (also light sensitive) & I had the constant thirst & peeing too. I had to stay in hospital for a week on an antibiotic drip & it was a bit touch & go the 1st night as I started to contract (I was 30 weeks).

A very scary experience :( Please get checked out & let us know how you go. :hugs:
