I never went out before Tom was born, nothing changed afterwards.

Grew out of the party scene when I was 18.

I used to be a homebody and a loner! Then I fell in love and since then I really cherish moments to myself. I never get lonely.
When its really quiet at night and every one is in bed I tend to stay up and just clear my head, knit and think.
What was the question?
Oh, when do I go out? I love to go see bands but that is rare.
We have wonderful babysitters in our Mums but I don't take advantage of that. Occassionally we go out without the kids and its great.

HHHMMMMMM, well I too no longer to go out and have a few drinks, as I always think about my responsibilities at home as a mother.....

The only nights I go out, is when DP wants me to go fishing with him....and my mum looks after my son.......Not my ideal night out, but I must admit I do have fun, just kicking back and kicking DP's butt at catching fish...

Other than that, we are yet to go out on a date, or anything like that since bub was born 13 months ago. A little romantic time would be nice, so we could rediscover each other as individuals not just as parents, meaning have a nice romantic dinner and talk about other things other than home life, go see a movie.....even though we see each other every day and night, it is hard to not fall into a rutt....IYKWIM

We have gone out once since our baby girl was born 4 months ago. I left a bottle of expressed breastmilk with my mum and she looked after both of my kids. We had a great night and we are going to try to have "date night" once a month. One month he plans it, the next I plan it. We are yet to try this out though! A bit hard since I'm still breastfeeding.:smiliedance:

I never get 'nights' out anymore! The only time I'm by myself is grocery shopping for an hour and sunday night is netball. DF can't cope any longer than that:rolleyes: .
When we lived in SA we had both of our parents who would have DD1 at the drop of a hat. Now living in NSW it's kind of hard to do that anymore! I'm still bf DD2 which makes it a bit harder aswell and I'm not really into expressing so I have to be around somewhere near if she needs a feed. They're the times I envy bottle feeders:laughing: , anyone can do it for you, while getting someone else to bf you child is kind of, well, wrong!! (Although, a woman I used to work with was born in South Africa and she was 'wet nursed' by their maid. She's 40 something, not sure if they still do it).

Anyway, back to the original question, we have so many great pubs with bands playing there, and I think I've only ever been once before DD2 was born. I would LOVE to go again.....................one day:rolleyes:

My last night out was the night I conceived (April 8th) My next night out is Feb 17th (My hens night) I really miss drinking... I was never a big drinker but really enjoyed having a couple of burbons with Matt on a Friday evening to wind down after working for the week. I use to go clubbing regularly but that has all ended now :(

we still reguly go out with bubs,

we are lucky that our circle of friends includes many children so going out is going for bbq, dinners and activitys like that etc that kids come to as well,

me and hubby sometimes go out clubbing when the grandparents babysit

but we honestly dont enjoy the club scene too much now and enjoy going to houses better:thumbsup:

I'm just gonna add my two bob in...DF and i often get to go out, we have ppl begging to watch DD and they always come to our place to do it, there fore little girl doesn't mess up her routine (well little of routine she has) and the sitter wether its either one of our parents or siblings will stay at our place. I was 19 when i had DD and my mum, as a young mum herself, always said don't give up being young just because u have a baby. I didn't want to leave DD for the 5 months, which is just natural, but now she is 20 months old we can go out confident that she is ok at home with the sitter and we feel she is more confident with other ppl for it, and has never been a huge clingy baby, though she still loves a cuddle with mummy and daddy b4 bed!!
