Open Heart Surgery

To everyone who has read about my little boy's heart condition....

He is just over 7 months old now and he is finally going into hospital tomorrow for his surgery which will be on wednesday to repair his heart condition called tetralogy of fallot...

I am happy the day has finally arrived but also nervous, anxious, scared etc etc etc... please keep us in your thoughts.:fingerscrossed:

Hi All, And thankyou for all your kind words....

Well Cody had his operation last wednesday and it was fairly uncomplicated... he spent 26 hours in the intensive care unit until he was able to breath on his own .... then he was moved onto the ward to recover... We left Princess Margaret Hospital yesterday for home and he is doing very well... he has his bandages removed from the wound on friday and then he will be able to have a proper bath ...:smiliedance:

Apart from being a little sick and woozy in hospital he did very well to be home so soon...

Again we thank everyone for all the nice things you have written...
