My 8month old has pretty chubby legs up the top, and pretty much all the nappies I have tried all leave big marks on legs, they just not big enough.
Any suggestions? We only use disposables. He is only 9kg so normall size but big legs, I already buy size 10-15kg nappies.

every nappy i put on ds leaves mark, disposables and cloth. I've tried to adjust them so they are sitting in a different spot in his leg, if the elastic is close to in the joint it doesn't cut in as much but seems to rub instead. My strategy now is to alternate different nappies so they aren't all sitting in the same place and the marks don't turn into rash or seem too sore. I guess its like my sock marks. ;)

Go even bigger.

DD wears sposies at night and she's been in the crawler size (6-11kg) since she was 8 weeks old and she's now only 3 months old and 5kg. The smaller sizes (newborn and infant) barely did up in the middle - it was ridiculous!

Her day nappies fit her thighs just fine without leaving more than just the usual faint marks (like the sock marks someone else described) she's in BBH magic-alls size small.

I use Pampers, and find they are much softer around the sides and the legs. They are really stretchy too, and have never ever leaked. My 8 month old DS and 29 month old DD can actually wear the same size (size 4). DS has always been in seemingly quite big sizes for his age too, he's been in toddler size (or size 4 Pampers) for ages. The weight ranges are just a guide though, and if ur having trouble with leakage they tell u to go up a size anyway.

Also, Pampers are often on special at Coles and I've only ever bought them on special. Picked up a box of 100 for $30 the other day.

huggies are pretty good for chubby lil ones too!
