My 12 month old never ever stays tucked in ever. He hasn't since he was around 6 months old. He sleeps in a grobag ( I have both a 2.5 one if it's cold and a 1.0 tog one if it's warmer) and I have different pj's for him depending on how cold or warm the weather is so he should be warm enough but sometimes it would be nice to know he has an extra blanket on him but there is no chance in hell of this as pretty much 99.9% of the time he wriggles out from underneath the blanket almost straight away. I thought this might be a common thing amongst bubs and brought it up during my mother's group and to my surprise they all said that their babies always stayed tucked in and suggested I wasn't tucking him in tightly enough. Other than strapping the child down, I could honestly not be tucking him more snuggly.
Am I the only mum whose bub never stays tucked in???
Mine has never stayed tucked in. At two weeks old was in a sleeping bag but he is 2 now and we cosleep and whenever I wake he is not under the doona.

Nope. Never. He sleeps with his legs up and always kicks them off ...
Hates grobags as well so I just have to make sure he's warm enough ... So glad it's coming into summer!

My 13 month old sleeps in a bubbaroo sleeping bag. On the days that i wash her bag, she sleeps with a blanket and its always kicked off.
I was always told that babies should not need a blanket anyway if they are in a sleeping bag that is suitable to the current climate due to the risk of overheating, etc.
We also have a water heater (similar to a colum oil heater) in her room that keeps the temp at a constant 21 degrees. So even on the cold nights, there isnt a need for a blanket anyway.

My 2 1/2 year old usually does now, it took till he was around 2 to start though :) And well and truly in his toddler bed!
DD co-sleeps in arms, so she's fine :D

2 year old dd never stays tucked in. I just make sure she's got warm pyjamas or socks on.
She's been like that since a tiny baby.

Nope.
DS is the only one who comes close to staying tucked in, even than it's a half effort.
Girls like to lay on their blankets instead of under them or wrap themselves up.

Hehe, no way. I don't bother with tucking in.
Firstly DD is still in a cot so tucking in is a bit hard, secondly she STILL migrates around the cot at night so we might find her on, near, under or over the doona at any given time
She knows how to curl up under it when she's cold though, so I tend not to worry.

 No for neither of my kids. I go in to check him and he has no blankets on him and he's lying horizontally not vertically  DD is older so if she gets cold she tends to pull them up but most nights she's in a crazy position with the bankets off.

Can never pick which way DD nearly 1 sleeps in her cot. All over the place! So please the weather is warming up and I can ditch the blanket.

Ohhhh that's my DS in a nutshell. He sleeps in sleepingbags as well and no sheets/blankets anymore. No matter how tight I tuck him in and no matter how big a sheet I use, he will kick it off in less than 1 minute.
As soon as his head hits the mattress, his legs go up and he kicks them right in the air and they come down with a huge BANG! and the sheet ends up all over his face. So I now have no sheets anymore. Too dangerous.
He's been wriggling out from under the blankets since 5 months and has started to kick them off since about 8.5 months. He's now 10 months.

definatly not! DD is a wriggle worm and has been for months now. I actually pin her cot sheets to the mattress on the side closest to the wall and at the bottom of the cot so i only have to keep tucking one side in. Ive pinned that side down too sometimes but she still ends up wriggling up the cot, lifts her legs and gets them on top of the sheet/blanket.

My FOUR-year-old won't stay tucked in... though we live in NQ... he hasn't had much practice!
In short, NO! My one month old will NOT stay tucked in and does whatever she can to kick blankets off. All of my kids have been like that. I think it is just a kid thing!
Like others, I am glad the weather is warming up!!!
