Okay all you cloth nappy godesses, this probably will be a logic question but no harm in asking right ? :o

I'm purchasing my Greens starter pack and i was wondering.. is the bigger the hemparoo better or is it according to the age/size of the child/baby ?

Am i better off ordering small/medium/large for Dakota ?

Cheers

Hmm
I bought Large because I hate wasting money LOL and I figured it would continue fitting the bubs, might not fit under his clothes tho'.... I'll have to wait and see. I have 2 others given to me as a gift but I have no idea what size they are..

You've probably already read it but this is the info on the site for anyone else:

Made from 55% hemp / 45% cotton fleece, these prefolds fit perfectly into Green Kids nappies. The medium size is shorter and trimmer, and is ideal for a trim day nappy or for smaller babies. The large size is slightly longer and wider, and is better suited to older babies.

Just as a comparison for you....my DD is 6 months old and weighs 7 kgs....the large ones are far too big...the medium are great but still a little bulky...like everyone says you need to try and see what works best for you...I am now using just the microfibre as its much trimmer for day use without a hemparoo.....

Thanx veve :) I have emailed them.

another quick question.. would you recommend using just a mircofibre insert for daytime use ?

Dakota isn't a very big wetter and only has one pooey nappy throughout 24hrs. On the very odd occasion she might have two.

I use mostly fitteds so i don't much about inserts. I do have 2 for bumGenius nappies (used it yesterday just with other boosters - microfibre takes ages to dry)
I ordered the Green Kids starter pack- I thought you pick a M and L hemparoo - that is what i did. Didn't realise you could choose.

Thats all i use on a daily basis !
They last 3 - 4hrs depending on whether Boof is really thirsty because if he drinks heaps we are in for trouble with Mr Heavy Wetter :p
He also only poos once or twice a day but because he is ff as well as being so much older they are the glorious roll off straight into the toilet poos so thats also why ive been lazy & havent bought a Little Squirt.
I bought a bulk pack of 50 microfibres from Greens & thats more than enough for a few days !
I only have two large hemp prefolds for nite & then i have 6 small hemp pads that i throw in with the microfibre on the days we go out that way i know if he sits for too long we wont have pressure leaks & i dont have to change exatly on time !

You have to work out whats right for you first though so i advise getting a couple of microfibre with your hemparoos & nappies then try them out see what works best by trying different methods ! It takes a little patience but once you work them out its all systems go !
Good luck :D
