Hi,
After 7 weeks of HUGE projectile vomits and being told by CHN that all babies vomit and not to worry I have finally got my paediatrician to listen and stool tests have revealed he is lactose intolerant. I would like to keep BF him as I did with my first and enjoyed all the advantages of BF. If I am to continue to do this I need to have a lactose free diet (can cope with that as I am not a big diary fan anyway) and have been told to give my son 10 drops of a product called Lacteeze at the start of every feed to help him with the natural lactose in all breast milk. Too easy!! Except that I have calculated that this product will cost about $75/week to use. At that cost I may have to put him on soy formula !!!
Juts wondering if anyone else has successfully BF a lactose intolerant baby and what they did/used? Did it stop completely the projectile vomits?
Would love to hear.
