Hi ladies,

I had endo surgery 2 months ago, and have had one period since. My next one was due a few days ago but hasn't arrived. Am excited it could be a BFP :bfp: (have just taken a home test, going to doctor in a few hours to confirm!)....anyway, am quite nervous because the pain from the surgery has only just started to go away.

Do you think it may be too soon for my body to handle a pregnancy, while technically still recovering from endo surgery? Hmmm, but perhaps not or else I wouldn't be pregnant would I? Just have to believe after 3 years of trying it just really wanted to come now?!

Am also nervous because had some travel immunisations the other day, and had a few drinks on the weekend. Feel so bad. But I did tell the doctor that we were trying, and he said there was no direct instructions not to have vaccines while pregnant.

Thanks for listening to my concerns, other than that am excited and in complete shock - first try after the surgery, woohoo! Oops, hubby is telling me not to get too excited as those home tests could be wrong...... but can't help it!

Had not luck since naturally, its been nearly 9 years so we are trying clomid.

I had a perfectly normal pregnancy and i hope you do to, good luck today at the docs.

Thanks for your thanks! And it's GREAT news from the doc. He confirmed:bfp: BFP!! :yelclap:

And he said the immunisation shots were safe, however in regards to the ones I am still due to have that I should consider not having them, but he thinks they are safe...so something to really think about.

Wow, I really can't believe it.....three years of trying, and then BOOM - first try after the endo surgery. First ever pregnancy...so am nervous and excited all at the same time.

Thank you to everyone on this forum, it has helped me so much.

I had my Endo surgery in May of this year and I had one period in June, then 2 weeks after that - I was pregnant, I did the tests and got a BFP a couple days before the next period was due (try First Response Early Detection tests). I was also worried it was too soon after the Op but my Ob said it is best to start trying immediately as the Endo can return very quickly. I've had no problems so far and i'm 18 weeks along.

This is the best time for you to get a BFP, now you have been all cleaned out :):)

Best of luck to you!!!!

Congrats!

In regards to the vaccines, I wouldn't have any more. Live vaccines definitely aren't recommended and others the recommendation is to weigh up risk vs benefit.

I travelled to Bali while pregnant with DS, so really looked into it and even spoke to a travel doctor. I decided against getting any shots, and was fine. Where are you planning on travelling to?

Good luck with the pregnancy!
